my silly little take on trent's whole "trent crimm, the independent" introduction that i never shared bc i figured i was being a silly little guy projecting was like. okay, so yeah, this is silly guy behavior (some bond, james bond kind of shit and i love it, like babygirl ted knows who you are at this point) but like also?? also then i decided actually this is the tism. like, yeah, i too get into these weird little routines where i'm like this is How It Goes. like im just picturing like yes, this is how it goes, i introduce myself, name and credentials, bc that's How It Works, that's The Rules, that is what you are supposed to do and i am Going To even if no one else does. like, yeah, fucking same. even if it's silly and technically you could not do it and you wouldn't die, at this point, it's hard to resist just doing it bc it also doesn't matter if you do, either. and don't get me wrong, it's still dork behavior--look at his face when the whole room says his introduction before he does and he still does the introduction after, he knows what he's doing--but also consider: neurodivergent trent my beloved

alright, I’m annoyed with the class that I’m taking. it’s about writing novels, and I thought it would have cool stuff about balancing your narrative and developing themes etc, but instead she spent the first class talking about how every book fits into the Hero’s Journey (the monomyth template). and I was somewhat of a contrarian, and said “can you give us examples of books that don’t fit into this template?” and she said “no. because all books fit.”

but I dunno man, I just finished reading this Korean book where the plot is just the character having a string of hookups and reflecting on them without changing in any way. I don’t know if it’s possible to contort that into the Hero’s Journey.

this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)

the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)

all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)

Edit for anyone wondering: the initial idea for this wasn’t a situation where wukong raised xiaotian, its more like some villain had some kind of ability to rewind time on ppl and they did it kinda mid-air for mk and wukong got really panicked and had to catch him quickly

Hope you don’t mind unsolicited kitty cat pictures of my new worm-beast! Forcibly reminding myself that randombred cats can look like anything and that this elongated fella I found living at the local zoo is not in fact an oriental-type/lemur hybrid.

I'll be honest, this is the first cat I've seen that could actually be a Balinese cross.

if you'd only shown me the first photo, I would have 100% believed that was a Balinese. the fur and body type are so specific. and then the last photo couldn't be a Balinese (because of the white spotting), but I'd still believe it was an Oriental Longhair.

it's only the second photo that made me go oh......that's not quite right.....that's not how that should look.........

so I'd say the possibilities are:

you found a cat that has coincidental similarities to a Balinese/Oriental (cool!! awesome cat! the breed had to get the traits from somewhere, makes sense!)

you found a badly bred Oriental Longhair with a wonky face (not likely, OLHs are rare and tend to have a more standardized show-type appearance)

you found a Balinese cross (cool!! awesome cat!)

in any case, they are very beautiful and I'm an admirer of their special white stripe.
