just read like two lines from Derek Walcott. Holy shit he is amazing
#wanted to watch a movie but got bored after 10mins#so I finally finished the book for Maldives instead (Iโm slowly getting bored by folktales Iโm afraid ๐ the characters are ALWAYS crazy)#(doesnโt matter the country. if the story is oral tradition the humans in it are 110% deranged)#anyway I still need to read Belarus but that book is SO GOOD Iโm saving it for a special occasion#(and I was a bit too adhd rn to savour the reading)#anyway I was snooping around for what to read next#and Petals of Blood (by Thiongโo for Kenya) had a small quote by Derek Walcott as the yk introduction quote thing that some books have#and I saw that and was like ohhhh whcih country was he again (Saint Lucia)#so I went and looked at his book and read ONE page and Iโm like ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐#Iโm gonna read Omeros by Walcott next bc of this#and now Iโm gonna go and sleep ๐#tmrrw i need to edit the fic and also do some stuff for uni rip#shut up Sam
