just read like two lines from Derek Walcott. Holy shit he is amazing
#wanted to watch a movie but got bored after 10mins#so I finally finished the book for Maldives instead (Iβm slowly getting bored by folktales Iβm afraid π the characters are ALWAYS crazy)#(doesnβt matter the country. if the story is oral tradition the humans in it are 110% deranged)#anyway I still need to read Belarus but that book is SO GOOD Iβm saving it for a special occasion#(and I was a bit too adhd rn to savour the reading)#anyway I was snooping around for what to read next#and Petals of Blood (by Thiongβo for Kenya) had a small quote by Derek Walcott as the yk introduction quote thing that some books have#and I saw that and was like ohhhh whcih country was he again (Saint Lucia)#so I went and looked at his book and read ONE page and Iβm like π³π³π³π³πππππππ#Iβm gonna read Omeros by Walcott next bc of this#and now Iβm gonna go and sleep π#tmrrw i need to edit the fic and also do some stuff for uni rip#shut up Sam
