More context:
my therapist and I have been talking about meltdowns, and she helped me realize I’ve internalized this idea that I must Always Avoid Meldowns, that they’re to be repressed at all costs —
And she was like “By all means do what you can to regulate yourself so that you don’t get to the point of a meltdown, but if you get to that point you just gotta let it out man”
And I was like. Oh. Oh damn. 🤯
“But I don’t wanna scream so loud my neighbors get worried!”
So my therapy homework was to create a space where I’d feel safe to have meltdowns when I need to. And my wife has been so sweet — the moment I told her about it she was online looking for stuff to put in it, and putting together a design plan 🥹
I know she’s really glad to have a, like, actionable way to help me with my mental health stuff. She needs a Project and this has been just the thing.
…anyone else have a meltdown / sensory safe space?

So I’m about to take one of my finals today, but I just noticed that Annabeth and Grover have been cast for the PJO series on Disney. And I can’t believe there’s so many people getting upset that they casted a black girl? Like the whole reason Annabeth is so determined to prove herself is because she was always seen as stupid bc of her blonde hair as well as always being stuck at CHB bc of Chiron’s reasons. This plot point can STILL be established with Leah being Annabeth. Black girls and many other POCs are seen as incompetent/unintelligent in MANY parts of the academia world esp. imo college/universities. I want the characters to match their personalities, their struggles, and quite frankly their CANON ages. The three actors/actress they’ve chosen for the lightning thief trio have the backgrounds in VARIOUS amazing roles. They’ve proven to be EXTREMELY exceptional. Rick chose them personally because of their abilities. I adore the fact that the three are age accurate. It’s gonna be an emotional ride seeing these kids act out the scenes in the mattress store and the other scenes that are just too funny but also the ones that require a LOT of emotions. But I’m mainly excited that we are getting this series and appreciate that Rick knows that so many of us have high hopes for it. I grew up reading the series, and even the HoO series as well, waiting on the next book to come the following fall after preordering the previous. I’m so happy that the show is happening now. Regardless of what others say, I can say that this series is going to be amazing.

I have some opinions on this whole Jack thing as a donor and I just wanted to put them out there before I get too upset.
First of all, simply the idea of him possibly becoming the donor is awful: don't get me wrong, I like Jack and his evolution throughout the last two seasons, BUT it's immensely disrespectful, both to the characters and to the representation they're claiming to be providing.
It's harmful to Maya and Carina because, even though Carina has gotten past it by now, Jack will always be the person Maya cheated on her with, and making him the donor will be a slap to her feelings and her persona.
But above all, it's disrespectful to all the queer couples out there, wlw or non-binary folks, who decide to start a family but don't have sp3rm at their disposal without looking for a donor. When people make this decision, it's true that it can be tricky, hard, that there can be different approaches or different procedures that one partner prefers while the other has some concerns, but what it's always true is that IT'S NOT ABOUT THE DONOR. The donor is not a "third parent", he shouldn't be part of the child's life (unless it's a particular or personal choice, however it's not the norm) nor have so much "power" on the decision-making process. It's about the couple and their future baby. It ends there.
With this being said, here's my opinion about last night episode:
In my opinion, Jack won't be the donor: yeah, Carina looks at him while talking with Maya but she looks at him while saying that also knowing the donor could have some issues. So Carina has made that clear, she doesn't think it's a good idea: she likes Jack and all, but I think it's just the writers messing around with the characters and with us (which I find a little disappointing and disrespectful but it's a drama show, so we got to bear with it).
Maya's position in all this is way more controversial than it seems (and it's not her fault!!). Maya wants to have some control over the situation, which totally makes sense, but how is she going to overcome her doubts and fear about the baby not being "hers" too if the donor is someone she knows and that will have a relationship with the child? I know it sounds weird but I think it's pretty counterproductive, cause in the long run it will only increase her self doubt.
This is just a doubt of mine, I'm not too sure about it and probably it's just a coincidence but I also think everything is pretty strategical. Let me explain: we are in 5×12, the last two episodes have been a little weak in the writing (about Marina) and if I'm not mistaken, 5×13 will be written by Leah Gonzalez, who is the same writer who created those magnificent scenes in 5×7. I probably think (but mostly hope) that they've "mishandled" all this baby talk in the last episodes to give her the chance to develop it better and in a realistic way, not caring too much about what happened in 5×10, 5×11 and 5×12, but using these episodes just to keep it going. Also, I think it was strategical on the Grey's front: kaimelia is being appreciated a lot, but Marina baby talk is undoubtedly creating more suspense. So, what I think (which is quite stupid cause queer representation is never enough, so we won't complain if we get two couples at the time) is that the Marina attention in 5×12 has decreased to allow more focus on Kai and Amelia scenes (which were amazing by the way). I know, it sounds stupid cause I'll love to watch both of these couples being happy and making big steps in their relationship, but it's also too much of a coincidence to me.
So yeah, this is mainly what I think and mostly what I hope will happen. I wish with all my being that they won't ruin one of the best fictional couples out there just to give Jack a storyline. All we have to do is wait and see. Fingers crossed.

Okay...so it’s time to tackle Episode 10x18 and why it didn’t bother me that much.
Despite getting to watch TWD Season 10B early thanks to a forgotten AMC Premiere account, I waited an entire 24 hours before I watched 10x18 out of fear of the inevitable.
And by now I’m sure you know exactly what I’m referring too.
However, after I did finally break down and watch it Friday evening, I was surprised that it didn’t bother me nearly as much as I thought it would.
Some might say that’s just because of the tinfoil hat now firmly placed tightly around my head after the previous episode convinced me even more Beth Greene might just show up out of the blue one day soon to a TWD universe production near you. Okay, I’ll give you that!
Tumblr media
However, there are very logical reasons why I don’t feel the least bit threatened by this new woodland harlot, Leah, (I’m just joking, geesh) and I’m going to tell you what they are!
Before I begin, I want to make clear that while I’m not thrilled about the idea of Daryl being in a romantic relationship with anyone but Beth, I didn’t really even hate Leah but saw her instead as what I believe she was meant to be. On her own in another situation she probably would be a great character. However, when I have mentioned in the past that I liked this episode, I was mainly referring to the parts with Car*l. Not because I am petty and enjoyed the fight, but because I think these are conversations that Daryl and her need to be having.
Nevertheless, here’s my take of 10X18. Consider yourself spoiler warned if you haven’t seen it yet.
Daryl was probably at the loneliest part of his life when Leah enters the picture.
Tumblr media
Let’s take the time and set this scene a moment...
At the point in the story when Leah first appears, Daryl has been wandering the woods for three freaking years looking for any sign of Rick’s body.
While Daryl is away, everything he knows has changed and life has just continued to carry on without him for everyone else he loves. Rick and Carl are both long gone. Carol is busy being a wife and mother. Michonne has pretty much shut off Alexandria from everybody including Team family. Maggie left for parts unknown with Georgie and has taken little Hershel with her.
Literally every single thing that Rick and Team Family ever tried to build during this apocalypse is shattered and everything the man has ever loved is gone.
We also can’t forget that the person Daryl would have naturally clung to during this sad time happened to “die” before he ever stepped foot into Virgina. Therefore, Daryl is left with absolutely no one. It’s a damn miracle that he didn’t off himself and might have - had he not been so obsessed in finding Rick’s body.
Leah is Daryl’s exact mirror in female form.
Tumblr media
So he meets Leah after accidentally breaking into her cabin and almost immediately we can see she is literally like him looking into a mirror. Now, I’ve already read many people trying to compare her to Car*l and even Beth and while I do get what they are saying, I also disagree. This lady is no other than the female version of Daryl Dixon. He has surely found his exact match in her.
Here’s how we figure that out:
Leah is tough as nails but obviously has a heart because she doesn’t immediately kill Daryl for busting into her cabin and ultimately lets him go.
You come to find out she had abusive parents and a very shitty childhood just like Daryl.
You find out her life sucked until she found her group - who had given her not only hope but finally a real family.
Like Daryl, her life also greatly improved during the apocalypse.
It takes Leah a very long time to trust Daryl enough to even tell him her name.
You find out she had a son who was born very much like Judith was. Her “sister” died giving birth to him, causing her to raise him as her own.
Something horrible happens to the group (horde of walkers) and everyone else gets killed. She takes her son and runs to the cabin only to realize that he had been bitten and ultimately dies.
It highly implied Leah blames herself for what happened to her family.
Like Daryl, at this point in the story Leah has lost everything she has ever loved, has sought refuge in the woods, and is completely alone.
Yet, in no way, shape, or form was Leah ever supposed to be a replacement for Beth. Instead, I believe she actually demonstrates why Bethyl worked so well.
Tumblr media
While I’m okay with the character of Leah, she’s no Beth. Not even close. As I stated before, she is just like Daryl and that’s really the problem.
Because we need to understand the thing that made Bethyl work so well was their fundamentally different personalities fitting together like peanut butter and jelly - both perfectly fine on their own but together making the perfect combination.
And TPTB spent a lot of time and effort back in the day showing us how much this was so.
While sometimes opposite people clash, we were shown that their different natures surprisingly completed each other very well. In other words, they were each other’s yin and yang. This was most obvious with Daryl helping Beth realize her own strength and Beth showing Daryl how to move forward. However, I could create an entire meta...and there are many that already exist out there...listing countless examples of how we saw them bringing the best out in each other. The combination of this along with their utmost (even sometimes brutal) honesty, shared history, and absolute trust in each other, created a foundation for a very healthy relationship.
In contrast, two people with nearly identical personalities and the same exact kind of unhealed trauma like Leah and Daryl, are usually not good life partners because they can hinder and get in the way of each other’s forward progress.
While you can understand why these kinds of people gravitate together and form bonds over shared experience, resulting romantic relationships can often be rocky. Many times the shared trauma can result in both partners having the exact same kinds of problems with trust, communication, and reckless expression of feelings. There is nobody in the relationship to model different kinds of behaviors and ideas since both tend to have the same life experiences to draw upon. Instead, each serves to the other as a living testament to and as confirmation of why their negative thoughts and behaviors are correct.
In other words, there is nobody there to throw the life preserver when both people are drowning. Nobody to even suggest to either partner a different way of doing things.
Also, when the relationship’s foundation is based solely on shared trauma, the trauma itself can become the only thing holding the two partners together.
This is why I never thought Daryl and Car*l would ever make good romantic partners. However, at least they have different types of personalities and kinds of trauma. Car*l is just...well Car*l - a force all on her own - and there’s nothing to suggest she ever experienced abuse in childhood. However, Leah being an exact carbon copy of Daryl gave that relationship even less of a chance.
And what I have just described seems to be exactly what we really do see happen between Daryl and Leah in Episode 10x18. I could list various examples but for time’s sake, I’m choosing not to because I am sure you can see it too - at least now that I’ve brought it up.
Just know I also believe this is why NR seemed to imply the relationship was not good in earlier preview shows.
Daryl flat out told Leah he didn’t know if he could choose her.
Tumblr media
As many others have already pointed out throughout the weekend, I believe the biggest difference between Daryl’s reaction to Leah and his reaction to Beth is the simple fact he really didn’t seem to  want to stay in that cabin with Leah forever. He doesn’t even seem all that upset about it either until he starts talking with Car*l later.
This drastically contrasts with the “Oh” scene with Beth. Hell, Daryl didn’t even care if the looney person who had been tending the funeral home and dressing up corpses came back! He wanted nothing more than to stay there and live happily ever after with her. There was no hesitation.
I would go as far as to say Beth is the only person able to completely divert Daryl's attention away from the rest of his family - much like she did when he spotted the Grady car and began his pursuit. However, Beth would never even ask such a thing - because not only is it her family too - but also because Beth was much too unselfish to let Daryl make those kinds of choices.
So you might ask yourself why he changed his mind in the end and made him decide to go back to Leah?
I believe he makes this choice because of the conversation with Car*l. She basically tells him that everyone else has found their place and it is time for him to find his place too. It begins to slowly eat at Daryl how they have all moved on without him. It’s important to remember that by this time in the story, he’s pretty much done scouring the river for Rick. He’s already checked out that “one last place” he hadn’t been. So now he’s beginning to ponder Car*l’s words and wondering where his place is now? Where does he go from here? It’s logical to think maybe he’s supposed to be in those woods with Leah after all.
Daryl and Leah’s relationship doesn't seem to leave much of a lasting impression or effect on Daryl.
Tumblr media
Don’t get me wrong, I believe Daryl most definitely cared about Leah. Yet, we can’t forget how we first found Daryl all those years later after the time jump in Episode 9X6.
If you remember right, Daryl still wasn’t doing all that great. His relationship with Leah apparently does absolutely nothing to change his outlook on anything.
In comparison, we all know what just a few short weeks - perhaps a couple of months - in the woods with Beth Greene does to Daryl Dixon. It changes his character profoundly!
Daryl might have went back to Leah at the time...BUT he made it crystal clear to C*rol that he knows where he belongs NOW. That’s what the entire fight between them was really about.
Tumblr media
There is a line that Daryl spits out during his fight with Car*l that sums up exactly why he wasn’t able to give up everything and stay with Leah. He tells Car*l that he knows where his place is…and he’s referring to being with his family at Alexandria. He’s angry that she doesn’t seem to understand that it’s where her place is as well.
AK later points this line out on TTD as important too. In fact, she literally states that his relationship with Leah is purely in the past and they will not go there again. It is rare for a showrunner to flat out proclaim something like this. It means she felt it was important for the audience to understand that this was done. She also points out that the fight is really about how sick Daryl is of Carol running away every time things get extremely difficult.
I would go a step further and say that Daryl is probably projecting what he now realizes was going on with himself when he was wandering the woods and choosing to stay there with Leah all those years ago. He’s upset with himself for having done so and he’s upset with Car*l that she has yet to have come to the same conclusion.
Ps: Be on the lookout for another post - a part two of sorts - later this week detailing all the things I’m still tinkering in my mind about this episode! ;)
Until then, keep calm and Bethyl on! She’s coming soon...

I just watched the Breaking Dawn fight seen and have decided Aro after seeing that vision thinks he can outsmart it cause he's an arrogant bitch. The fight happened no fadeout.
A few Canon changes because I refuse to accept losing both Clearwaters. Renesmee runs away with Seth not Jacob. He's still a kid and they want to keep him out of the fight. Same as Eclipse.
With that in mind. Casualties
Irina
Carlisle
Jasper
Leah (the first on that's upsetting)
Jacob (that feeling is gone)
Jane
Alec
Marcus
Cauis
Aro.
Sorry but that's a historical win and what fun to think of how that plays out.
The Cullen's, while still on better terms with the Wolves have lost the imprint bond and the Cullens leave. With an open invitation for them to return to visit Charlie and their friends.
They tell Charlie everything. And I need to write that conversation.
Bella Edward and Seth waiting at the house for Charlie and Sue to get home.
"Hey Bells." Bella runs to hug Charlie perhap a little too hard as he falls backward but Bella catches him. "Nice save kid."
"Dad. You know that need to know thing?" Charlie nods his face almost unreadable. "Well, the one thing stopping us from telling you is gone now. So, if you want to know we can tell you. Everything."
"Mom." Seth says quietly. Sue's face is tragically easy to read. "We should get back to the reserve." They leave Sue already starting to cry and Bella's heart breaks for her.
"Bells you're kinda scaring me here." Bella looks to Edward for some kind of help and he takes her hand.
"I'm sorry Chief Swan, When I met your daughter, she was the most amazing creature I'd ever seen in my life, which is longer than you think. I was born in 1901 but 17 years later my mother and I fell ill with the Spanish flue. My mother Elizabeth Mason asked the doctor on her Deathbed to save me. Carlisle could not refuse her dying wish." Charlie rubs his eyes and let's out a groan.
"You're really fucking Vampires?" Bella was shocked and it must have been evident on her face as he looked up. "I'm not a moron, there's always been talk about the Cullen's."
"If you knew?" Bella starts to ask.
"I didn't know. I didn't want to know. My best friends kid turns into a wolf and I was scarred for life I don't need to think about my baby girl eating people."
"We don't eat people, we're Vegetarians. Animals only." Bella says quickly. "I have never tasted human blood, as a vampire."
"I'm sorry what?"
"Renesmee's pregnancy had some complications." Charlie turns to Edward finally and Bella is glad she took Alice's advice to hide the gun. Not that it would hurt Edward but Charlie might have a heart attach when it doesn't.
"I will never like you Edward. I hope you know that."
"More than you could imagine sir."
"Why can you tell me this?"
"There was a coven of Very old Vampires that made vampire law, including the one forbidding us from telling humans."
"Was?"
"They came after Renesmee, thought she was an immortal child. Another law so we asked some friends and defeated them."
"Killed them."
"We didn't get out unscathed." Edward says and Charlie's face drops turning to the door Sue left out of.
"Leah?" Charlie asks tears forming in his eyes. Bella nods and wishes she could cry as well, all Edwards talk of missing things and crying was not Bella though she would miss.
"And Jacob, Carlisle and Jasper." Edward finishes and Charlis stands quickly walking to the kitchen to grab a beer. Hopefully not a knife. Edward goes to follow but Bella pushes him back into the chair.
"Dad, I know how you're feeling right now and we never wanted this to happen."
"No Isabella. I watched those kids grow up, I watched you grow up and now none of you ever will. I need time to process this."
"You know where to find us." Bella nods, Edward is already in the car he doesn't say anything when she closes the door, or on the drive back to the cullen property. He just waits for her. It isn't until they're parked Bella speaks.
"He doesn't hate me. He didn't call me a monster. This is going to be hard but we're fine. We'll be fine right."
"He'll come around. You loved me enough to see past my condition. He loves you more than anything." Bella kisses her Husband as a silent thank you before looking up at their home the ever present clouds add a fitting gloom to the house.
Okay, that's done. So Vladimir and Stefan do not want to rule they just wanted the Volturi dead so after the battle their only request of the Cullens is Voltaire, they have no wish to live their and they have nefarious plans edward can hear but does not tell his wife or daughter for their own good. They approve and they run off into Woods. The rest of the surviving allies begin the conversation about what happens now.
Are the Cullens in charge, they lost their leader but in this battle they were following Bella and Edward but mainly Bella because she's the main character and the whole mother figure thing. When this comes to light Bella immediately shuts this thought process down reminding all present that she is 18 and has been 18 for two years which is a head trip but not particularly impressive.
They eventually agree on a vampirised form of democracy and elected officials from each major coven involved create a vampire council that speaks for those covens the Cullens choos Alice because obviously and they leave to go around the world letting every vampjre they can know of the volturi's demise and offering a part in their democracy. This takes about a hundred years but Alice pops in for holidays and birthdays always with extravagant gifts.
Renesmee chooses to go by Ren. Who in the books is a beautiful fast growing incredibly intelligent but soft spoken, agree with all of these but propose we add in a dash of chaotic neutral energy because they spend the majority of their time with Rosalie and Emmett while their parents are fucking, oh yeah and Ren is non binary in this because I think it'd be neat.
This is getting too long and I am not a twilight blog. Goodnight to whoever read this whole thing. Drink some water and go to bed.

13x21 “Don’t Stop Me Now” Review
Grey’s Anatomy’s early ratings look like it tied its series low ratings again.  None of us are surprised.  I am a bit surprised that the show is not listening to its fans who are basically begging for them to stop focusing on Mer/Riggs/Maggie and give us something, anything, for Japril, Jolex, and Omelia.  I have accepted the fact that we won’t see any of these ships move until 13x23 or 13x24.  I just haven’t accepted why.  This is not how to build suspense.  Suspense is a cliff hanger that leads into the next episode.  Suspense is not making us wait 10-15 episodes for the characters we love to breathe the same air.  Are we supposed to believe that this hospital that seems to only have about 10 doctors working in it is now suddenly so huge that none of them are even bumping into each other in the hallway?  And not only are they ignoring their best stories, but they are going out of their way to not let the characters even talk about each other by never putting friends in the same scenes, either.  It’s incredibly disappointing for a show with this level of talent and such a large fan following to produce such mediocre episodes.
Alex – Justin Chambers is so talented and clearly a fan favorite.  When people thought he might go to jail in the mid-season premiere, the ratings skyrocketed.  Of course, this is season 13, so he wasn’t even in that episode.  He was simply used to promote it and then we got the prison centric instead.  I hate to see him used as basically a buffer between all the sister’s drama.  He deserves better than that.  He mainly only has scenes with Mer at this point, and I think I know why.  Because as much as the show made a huge deal about Mer being there for Alex during his legal troubles, for the most part, their friendship is mainly about her and what she needs.  And this didn’t start this season.  This started way back when the show thought it was funny for Mer to kick Jo out of Alex’s bed.  This friendship has always been about what Mer needs in the moment and Alex’s feelings come second.  If she truly cared about him, we would see a conversation where Mer asks Alex about Jo. How is he feeling, does he miss her, has he talked to her, etc.  Losing Jo was a huge thing for Alex.  He wanted to marry her.  But instead we get Alex leaning against the wall in the women’s restroom while Mer rehearses her apology to Maggie (all while still sporting a sweater she pulled out of a dusty box in her attic from the 1980s).  Alex is propping Mer in all these scenes because putting him in scenes with her allows the writers to continue to ignore the Jolex story.  Mer would never ask Alex about Jo because she doesn’t really care.
Maggie – Maggie has been a main focus of four out of the last five episodes (minus the plane episode). I think that Kelly McCreary is probably very talented.  We saw some great moments from her in 13x18.  However, they are making her character, who was already difficult for many people to like, absolutely unbearable.  I understand the idea that she would be upset that Mer lied to her for so long, but that wasn’t the only reason she was mad.  “Is he a good kisser?”  “Did you join the mile high club?”  She was also mad that Mer is with her crush.  And that is all he was.  A crush. She had more of a relationship with Deluca and she cared for all of five minutes when he broke up with her.  To compare those reactions makes her reaction to this seem particularly childish.  I would prefer to see them focus on how brilliant she is and let her really show her skills in the OR as a teacher.  She doesn’t feel like a badass cardio chief right now.  She feels like Mer’s annoying little sister who wants whatever her big sister has.  The cardiothoracic department at Grey-Sloan has seen Preston Burke, Cristina Yang, Erica Hahn, Teddy Altman…Maggie is not living up to their reputations.  At least by the end of the episode it seems that they might be done with this story.  We can only hope.
April/Stephanie/Deluca – Similar to Cross’s TB story, this group and their wormy patient had some of the best scenes of the episode.  I thought it was interesting that April, Steph, and Deluca were grouped together again, especially since it doesn’t seem like April is mentoring them (clearly that just doesn’t happen anymore).  And then I realized this is the same situation as Alex.  April is with Steph because that makes is easy for the writers to not have April discuss her situation with Jackson.  She definitely isn’t going to tell his rebound about falling into bed with him in Montana, and she isn’t close enough to Deluca to talk to him.  If they actually put April in scenes with Arizona or Riggs, it would be weird if they didn’t talk about Jackson.  So we get none of that.  Deluca tried to talk to Steph about Jo a few episodes ago, but she shut him down, so he probably won’t be spilling his feeling to her again.  This trio is the perfect set up for good comedic moments, and it also allows the writers to continue to ignore Japril and Jo/Deluca.
April/Webber/Bailey/Catherine – I liked this story.  I actually think it is believable that Bailey and April would team up to try to reunite Webbery.  I love that April gave Bailey her confidence back by telling her she is very similar to Catherine, and I thought Bailey’s speech was very “Bailey.”  I miss strong, confident Bailey.  They need to bring her out more often.  And while April was not as successful with convincing Webber to forgive Catherine, it was nice to hear April say that relationships deserve a second chance even if there are flaws.  Because that basically sums up all the love stories ever on Grey’s Anatomy.
The Press Conference – This came off as cheesy to me.  It seems like just another way the show is telling us how amazing Mer is this season. Other characters keep telling her/us that she is hot, and now the press is falling all over themselves to ask questions about her superb surgical skills.  I’m not saying her surgery on the plane wasn’t cool, it was.  She operated on someone’s brain with a straw and a cup. Very cool.  I just can’t help but think that she is a general surgeon, not certified in neurosurgery, who performed brain surgery and the show is acting like she is a hero.  But a few episodes ago when April, a trauma surgeon who IS certified in general surgery, filled in as Interim Chief of General, the characters lined up to call her a traitor.  Mer’s surgery was cool, but so was Japril’s throat transplant, and Alex figuring out the teenager had Ehler’s Danlos syndrome, and Maggie performing heart surgery on a baby still in the womb.  These doctors perform one in a million surgeries almost every episode, and yet Mer gets the press conference.  If she is really so great the show shouldn’t need to keep reminding the audience of that. We would see if on our own.  But the press conference was really about Maggie discovering Riggs and Mer have feeling for each other.  Riggs rubbing her shoulder was supposed to be a moment of obvious chemistry and sparks.  Too bad that moment cannot even compare to the one we got with Owen and Amelia.
Owen and Amelia – It seems like they are building to Amelia actually dealing with her feelings.  She keeps getting thrown into difficult pregnancy surgeries.  I thought her holding Veronica while she died was beautiful and sweet.  But that elevator hug. Was. Everything.  Owen and Amelia didn’t even need to speak.  He saw she was upset and he went to her.  It didn’t matter that they had hurt each other or that she moved out.  Nothing in that moment mattered except the woman he loves needed him, so he was there. To be able to convey so much love and emotion with no words is great chemistry.  That is what Mer and Riggs are lacking and what makes Japril, Jolex, and Omelia the reasons we are still watching.
Jackson and Maggie – I know that Jesse was working out of the country when this episode was filmed, so I didn’t even expect to see him.  It’s unfortunate that the one scene he was in was just him listening to Maggie complain, but I think this is another example of throwing people together who won’t ask about each other’s personal lives.  Maggie is so self-absorbed at the moment, she certainly isn’t going to ask Jackson about April, or even why he suddenly stopped hating Eliza for that matter.  And Jackson is a neutral third party for Maggie to whine to.  It was a waste of thirty seconds really, but I can’t complain about seeing Jackson on my screen, I guess.
Webber/Catherine – Their end scene was cute.  It is always nice to see Catherine’s softer side.  Let’s hope their drama is behind them as well.
 A few random thoughts:
I am always impressed with how Sarah Drew can both break my heart and make me laugh out loud.  She is such a bright light on this show.
Veronica dying was a tearjerker.  I mean, we knew it was coming, but the scene was really well done.  The actress was fantastic, the music was perfect, it was everything we need more of this season.
I am happy to see Alex featured in next week’s promo.  Seeing Justin play opposite Camilla’s real life boyfriend should be interesting.  If we can’t get Jolex movement, at least Alex might get a decent story.
Is Debbie Allen’s daughter (the random resident) filling in where Camilla was supposed to be?  Or Leah?
Jackson told Maggie he couldn’t make it to the press conference.  Safae on Twitter joked that he must have been busy…with April.  My Japril heart is going to believe she is right.
