I hate that the only way for me to be able to get work done is for it to be a group project

like if it's a solo assignment I can't bring myself to do it and either slap something together last minute or submit it late

but if it's a group project I'll do everything I've been assigned and sometimes do work for other people's roles as well, to the point where last semester I basically did our group's entire project myself

(because our level designer/map maker did nothing for four weeks even though all he had to do was stack untextured rectangular prisms into a few hallways and rooms so I just faked the entire game demo in maya in four hours. we also didn't have a functional kill or death mechanic so)

#random robot rambles #like for this current project I've designed two weapons and five characters/four characters and a turret #with each having had at least three iterations/variants #and I drew animated mockups of our core mechanics and how the parry interacts with every enemy (in total at least nine)#and I helped the weapon/prop/environment modeller with the actual modelling of the sword and gun #also designed our logo
