trying to decide whether melliwyk is a strict mise en place cooker or more of a controlled(?) chaos sort of person in the kitchen
#like the thing is her workstation(s) ARE always set up so everything is easy to grab immediately#and I definitely imagine her setting up all components for experiments or projects or ritual spells in advance#but she doesn't cook very often and I don't know that she takes it very seriously?#LIKE. one thing about melliwyk is that she's a (probably very surprisingly) good cook#but she does kind of feel like a 'oh I can chop these vegetables while the meat is starting to sear' person#who maybe times it badly more often than not because she's almost always out of practice in the kitchen#(why cook for yourself when you have the unseen servant spell! that's what it's FOR)#also the idea of her neatly pouring pre-chopped pre-portioned ingredients in a timely manner from organized prep bowls#feels less correct than mage hand grabbing ingredients from the pantry WHILE slicing onions AND stirring a sauce or whatever#my OCs#melliwyk
