i always knew Beast somehow stood more right with me as a universe!
it's still so funny to me that when faced with starvation atsushi was immediately like "oh damn i guess i have to rob people now :(( guess i have to be a criminal :((" and yet when beast!akutagawa was faced with the Exact Same Situation his first instinct was to like eat weeds on the side of the river like are we sure atsushi wasn't made for the pm
#the first scene with atsushi trying to be a criminal WAS very funny tho#i swear if it wasn't for his friends to pull him out of the ditches of his abused mind Atsushi IS incredibly villain coded#incredible potential thus boy#and Aku was just snitched by the worst person is canon#but he has so much kindness and care in his heart#something something tragic circumstances changing the course of their lives#i love how miltifaceted they are as characters#sskk#ok but also i remember the first time watching the beginning of the first episode of anime in my lunch break at work#and i was DYING trying not to burst out laughing in the office#the rest is history lol
