misfortune take 2 

i didnt kill the puppy this time

thinkin about how misfortune interacts with animals though... the cat runs from her and she says something about how that always tends to happen to her, morgo openly hates foxes and delights in the “caged animals” at the zoo 

so i think the reason animals flee from her is that they can sense morgo’s presence around her, she’s able to pet the deer later on when morgo goes silent

but then i dont know why this puppy doesn’t seem to bothered by her. morgo uses the puppy to lure her to “the party” / finding george’s body (it seems implied morgo stole his son away and he committed suicide afterward, since we see the child’s ghost and morgo Knew about it before misfortune got there) so the puppy might not even Be there, we know morgo can make things appear/alter the environment/alter misfortune’s perception, so it’s possible it’s not even a real puppy 

but why did he lead her there. she doesn’t really do anything other than walk through and see it. did he just do it to fuck with her. i dont get it 

maybe the puppy’s real and it’s just too dumb and empty headed to even realize the Death hanging around her though. the crows attack her if the puppy isn’t there, so they aren’t afraid but maybe they just act aggressively instead of fearfully... but then why didn’t the wolf do anything. i can’t get my head around this
