Yeah, Digital Equity it's really important!
When someone lacks the resources to fully participate in our modern online culture they are experiencing what is now called the digital divide.  These resources can be technologically related e.g. modern hardware or broadband internet capable of accessing the internet.  The resources can also be educationally related e.g. knowledge on how to implement / maintain these systems or even the lack of digital literacy or know-how to participate in online culture.  Digital equity can be thought of as the tools, resources or education needed for everyone to be able to equally participate in our online culture.
The National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA), defines digital equity “as a condition in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy and economy”.  So much of our culture is currently available online.  As technology continues to develop we will enter broad new digital frontiers, but these resources in whatever form they may take will only be accessible by those who are on the “right” side of the digital divide.  Individuals who have the resources and knowledge to engage online are at a significant advantage compared to those who lack access.  “Access to information is the key to an individual's position in society” (Radovanovic, 2011).  Digital equity is the attempt at a solution to the problem of the digital divide.  Effectively digital equity bridges the digital divide!  To have digital equity means everyone has the same online access to governmental and political resources, educational and employment opportunities, as well as social networking and online participatory culture.
When we think of the digital divide it is important to realize the reality of not having access to digital technology, knowledge or skills and how this can have adverse outcomes:
Healthcare access - nearly all major healthcare providers now have online access for patients to their medical records, appointments, and consultation services.  “The American Public Health Association now recognizes that Broadband Internet Access Is a Social Determinant of Health!” (Benda & Ancker, 2020)
Educational opportunity - According to the UN “A staggering two-thirds of world’s school-aged children – 1.3 billion children aged 3-17 – do not have internet connection in their homes, preventing them from learning vital skills needed to compete in the modern economy, a new UN report has revealed.”  Adults are also adversely affected by the same lack of access to educational opportunities.   “This gap perpetuates unequal learning outcomes and has been particularly difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic.” (deSantillana, 2020)
Economic opportunity - Affecting both employees and employers, “lack of quality broadband means decreased economic opportunities and competitiveness in the digital economy.” (Muller, 2022)
Social and networking opportunities - This an overarching complexity - As so much of our own social needs are met online through social media sites, chatting, video conferencing, etc.  Those without access will be unable to enjoy the same benefits (group affiliation, political research, etc) that open up with social networking.
In conclusion it’s very apparent that a widening digital divide can have dire consequences for our society.  It is imperative we strive find some form digital equity so that we are all represented equally and have equal access to all that life online has to offer.

the girl i met with yesterday is studying art history and she’s really into impressionist painters and it reminded me how much i like impressionism as well… like the way the painters are able to capture a moment so we’ll in a painting that you can almost physically feel what is was like to be there in that moment. not only is depictions of sunlight very beautiful but it also evokes strong emotions in me for some reason

"Jean Arthur herself had no children, and despite her marriages (the one to Frank Ross and an earlier one-day marriage to Julian Ancker), her sexual tendencies were ambiguous. Fellow actor Patsy Kelly overtly acknowledged (in an interview) Arthur's lesbianism, while Agnes Moorehead did not contradict an interviewer who grouped Arthur with actresses who 'have enjoyed lesbian or bi-relationships.' Moorehead simply said that, like most women, Arthur was 'emotionally intricate'. Arthur was rumored to have been romantically involved with Mary Martin, gossip that seemed validated by a 1966 novel, The Princess and the Goblin, allegedly a roman á clef about their relationship; it was several years before its author, Paul Rosner, acknowledged that the story was wholly imagined, though he did draw on his own impressions of the two women in writing it. Speculation about Arthur's sexual orientation was revived by Donald Spoto's biography of Marlene Dietrich, Blue Angel, which cited Arthur and Martin among the 'charter members of America's creative lesbian community', while Hadleigh's book assumed Arthur's lesbianism or bisexuality 'as a given'."

#ArtAppreciation ♥️🖼🎨 "Nature's rewards" (circa 1860s) By Otto Didrik Ottesen (Danish, 1816–1892) oil on canvas 41.5 x 35.5 cm. (16.3 x 14 in.) Sotheby's, London Otto Didrik Ottesen was born in Broager, on the island of Als in South Jutland. He started his career as a house painter, later realising his ambition to become an artist. Self-taught, he gained entry to the Royal Danish Academy in 1845. He specialised almost entirely in still life subjects, guided by examples of the 17th century Dutch painters. He obtained three scholarships: from the Royal Academy, from Sødring’s Legacy Fund and from Ancker’s Fund. Ottesen travelled all over Western Europe and exhibited at Stockholm (1856), Paris (18?8) and Vienna (1882). He was also an annual guest at the Charlottenborg. He won several prizes, including the famous Neuhausen Prize in 1845, 1847 and 1849. He became a member of the Royal Academy in 1866 and a year later, member of the Board. Many of his works are now placed in the most important Danish museums: Thorvaldsen's, Hirschprung's Collection, and the Royal Museum of Art. #ArtAwarness #CelebrateTheArts #Kunstliebhaber #Art https://www.instagram.com/p/CSqB0NwFk4x/?utm_medium=tumblr

Actually I absolutely disagree with the assessment for Hanna's character, I think she was the only well utilized character in the cast so far by acting as a emotional ancker and having a plot that actually relates to the main conflict of the season currently.
Her emotional conflict regarding her brother and the distance that is growing between them is absolutely something worth exploring, especially since it relates back to Basara and said's development.
Her role as a supporting character is probably better realized then Tokonatsu, Nika and Takane's were when they held those roles.
Which honestly is the thing, the *roles* the characters have in the narrative are important. A support character doesn't need to do much more then be there to support the main cast and potentially have some interesting character development themself. Hanna excells on that front. It isn't fair to compare her narrative impact to the story compared to Ilya who is actual part of the main character roaster because she was simply not written with the same intended purpose behind her.
She is honestly more on the level of Bell's grandfather, she doesn't need to actively impact the plot because that's not her role here. Support characters are suppose to give us context to the main characters and help the writers making those characters more real that way.
And frankly, I think they even overshoot with Hanna.
She is the only who does work in the way she is intended to and her arc is the only one with actual emotional investment and a real concept that genuinely can be relateable to a lot of young viewers who have siblings.
I used to have a really close relationship to my older brother before we gradually drifted further and further apart too. That's a real experience that can strike a emotional cord with the audience way more then any of the conflict presented so far.
It's a actual nuanced problem she has that can't simply be fixed with a proper conversation like the other ones because interpersonal relationships and separarion anxieties are a lot harder to open up about then petty friend group drama.
That's why I said Hanna probably would have made a good addition to the actual main cast rather then the main supporting cast. She is the narrative bridge between the two opposing groups and has a lot of potential for interesting development, especially with Basara being on the opposite team to her.
I also disagree with Ranzo to some degree. He could be better utilized but so far he has had the most impact on Bell's emotional development.
Frankly DB was going good until they introduced Rashad and Ilya and also pushed Valt into the foreground.
Honestly Ilya probably could have gotten away with being a one off character who was already fully developed. In the manga she doesn't even make a appearance until the last volume.
If you have so little source material for her just use her for one or two episodes to market the hasbro bey and then sent her on her way.
And like I said with Valt, his entire involvement in this season just screams "We don't actually think our protagonist can carry a show" which is a freaking shame because Bell was fine
They established him well enough, he's way better then the Asahi siblings characterization whise and you could have easily written him a proper conflict.
Also another way they could have avoided this whole mess and still kept all the characters was if they just
Cut the whole Rashad goes evil arc out.
Literally we got 5 new main characters in this season, that's the size of a beyclub team in season 1. Have them work as a team to call back to that season and add a proper antagonist for them to face in the second half.
That way you can focus on the characters as a group dynamic, have you season 1 nostalgia bite by letting Valt and Shu reminisce about their old team and use the second half of the show to introduce a actually interesting plot with Payne as a antagonist.
It's not like they are following the manga anyways so why not simply do that?
It just feels like there were a lot of very unnecessary decisions made and a lot of potential ignored.
Sometimes gotta miss the old days when
