I want to know more about your interest in clowning! It seems pretty interesting.

Also where you got your clown Papa idea.

Ha! Thank you for asking, friend. The answer is quite amusing as I am, in fact, not at all fond of clowns. My parents used to make me talk to the clowns at the circus and they would get so close to my face, I hated it. My fear has lessened somewhat since childhood, but it's still there. (The great clown epidemic of 2016 really brought it back!)

I've found that drawing the Papas as clowns has been fun and quite therapeutic, knowing who is under the paint makes it so much easier!

It's also interesting to think of them as one of the time old traditions of entertainment, and now as I write this I think of them doing their clown gigs to make ends meet, but really wanting to pursue a music career. They're still very much into the whole Satan thing and they have concepts they've been working on for years, but hey, bills have to be paid and there's usually free cake at parties.

As for the idea, well... I have to thank @her-satanic-wiles for her hard-pressing questions. (Would you rather do the devil's tango with a clown or let the clown watch you do the devil's tango?)

And that, dear friend, is how Clown!Papas entered this world. 🤡

Alrighty! In no particular order:

Perverted Are Your Wishes and Dreams. Secondo watches a sci-fi b-movie from Canada and...well. Just read it. I was cackling the whole time I was writing it lol.

Lady, Revealed of Cloak. A young Papa Nihil gets ready for a sexy ritual with Sister Imperator...it ends with a surprise. Which I'm quite proud of.

Night Seances. Lydia Deetz (movie version) wonders just what happened to her dead would-be groom...so she decides to summon him and find out. But now he's playing hard-to-get. I'm very proud of the poem & ritual I picked out to include in this.

Dream Seduction. Lydia Deetz (movie version) gets a very pleasant nocturnal visit from a certain "ghost with the most"...or does she? Was it a dream, or was he really there? Thus far unfinished, but I'm insanely proud of it; it's been almost 4 years, and I haven't written quite that well since lol.

Beetlejuice Goes to Therapy. After the events of the movie, a certain "ghost with the most" has a therapy session, because he's got (a pale, pretty, raven haired) someone on his mind...it goes about as well as you'd expect lol. It's a simple and short fic, but it was fun to write and I love my dreaming brain for giving me the idea.

It's so bizarre and gay and good! I've truly never read/watched anything like it. If you like audiobooks I definitely recommend them for The Locked Tomb, the narrator Moira Quirk does a great job reading them!

aaahhh so that would be chapter 10 of Let the Poison Spill. It's the first thing I started when I returned to writing, buuuuut vampires and dates with Mary Goore demanded to be written too. It's got some Mary (platonic) in it, a satanic secret society, magic and weird horror shit, aaaaaand smut.

perhaps a touch too ambitious, but I'm not going to stand in my way.

I do have some more Mary Goore WIPs. Just waiting for inspiration to kick me in the face on those. but also kind of thinking about a Mary long fic?

Oh boy. Oh man. They would think I'm the coolest person ever. My younger self wouldn't believe it's future them. They’d be surprised to know I am more freely able to express myself.

this is really specific but when my nails have a chip so it will snag or get stuck on any fabric surface. godddd i hate it. i will immediately try to sand it down so it won't ruin any fabrics or dolls I have lol

I will take my Terzo & Omega plushie and have them accompany me. I hug them too.

My silly shitpost about Renaissance Nobleman made me realize the tattoo I designed for myself is basically Copia as my Noble Patron.

He's even on my Left side like where the Patron who commissioned the work would be. It's me I am The Work 🥹

this is helping me mentally a lot because man i was going into a bad headspace with it because of family members (hey! you can be almost 40 and family STILL will not like your tattoos)

What is Virgil's day like as a deacon?

Schedule can vary but generally their day consists of:

working as Secondo's personal assistant. this consists of things like errands, reading his emails out and typing his responses, and being a glorified google searcher. they also typically get lunch together but not all the time.

in the afternoon they move to their studies. this consists mostly of scripture and the artes prohibitae. they find somewhere to hole up so nobody can bother them.

they're supposed to also be studying music but they. do not like doing that. they view themself as more of a scholar than a performer. they want to be an anchorite. they will not be allowed to be an anchorite.

if they have free time, they work on caring for their fungi. mostly they grow them in jars in their room, but some are in the gardens. so despite everything about them, they do get fresh air haha.

generally i'd say they're pretty busy!

Okay onto the good stuff. In reference to this post, my friends and I had played DBD for a while earlier this year, and of course all of us noticed how uh... suggestive Leon Kennedy's moans had sounded when he's injured. So one of us decided to clip it and add it to the server soundboard as a joke. But now we mostly just use it to jump scare each other with whimpering man noises at random moments lol. Good stuff!
