WINTER

It’s too cold and I miss Jamie Drysdale I haven’t seen booboo bear in forever

“I’m still concerned how you think this” jamie shrugs to the 60 degree weather that’s begun invading California, “is cold” but nonetheless he still lets me drag a blanket all around the house and lets me cuddle up to him all the time. Even when I stick him with my cold feet.

“You grew up in fucking— fucking Canada” I butt out, “you have an unfair advantage” I whine at him. As I slowly drag myself back into our bedroom, “why is it so cold”

“Because it’s fall” He never misses a beat as he stands in the door way. Leaning against the frame as I snuggle myself into my side of the bed.

He eventually leans in and takes his shoes off before sliding into bed with me, still in his hoodie but thankfully taking off his hat before he snatches me with his arms.

“You’re freezing” He groans, I move into him and he tries to scoot away, “no you’re cold”

“Yeah but you’re warm, please jammy, im so cold. And you love me” I complain latching myself into him.

“You’re going to be the death of me. I hope you know that”

“I would never”

I layed in bed wrapped in my big blanket not wanting to be bothered. I had been cheated on by my boyfriend with my best friend. Cliche, right? My brothers have been trying to get me out of my room all day and it’s failed every time. As I’m wallowing in self-pity the door bell rings. As soon as the person walked in I heard the words. “Where’s baby Hughes?” The voice of Trevor Zegras asked very loudly. I didn’t hear anything said after that then my bedroom door opened. “Y/n? Baby?” Trevor asked in a for once quiet voice. I groaned at the nickname not wanting to hear it today. “Trev?” I asked turning over to face him even though I knew it was him. “It’s me.” He said coming over sitting on my bed and basically scooping me up into his arms. “What happened?” He asked in a whisper. “He cheated. With my best friend.” I told him with tears starting to form again. I looked up to Trevor seeing a flash of anger in his eyes then they went soft again. “Have you eaten?” He asked and I shook my head no. “Well, let’s get you some food then you can get ready.” He told me with a small smile. What I was wondering is get ready for what? “Ready for what?” I asked curiously. “I’m taking you out.” He said and I nodded slowly getting up. “I’ll be right outside your room when you’re done.” Trevor added on getting up and walking out of my bedroom shutting the door. I went over to my closet and picked out a pair of jeans and a New Jersey Devils shirt. After picking out the clothes I got changed into them then brushed my hair and teeth in my bathroom. I walked out my bedroom shutting the door behind me and Trevor was there as said. “Where are we going?” I asked Trevor as we walked down the steps. “Hmm. Out to eat then a movie, all of your choosing of course.” Trevor replied as got to the bottom of the steps where my brothers Jack, Luke, and Quinn were standing. All of a sudden I was engulfed in a hug by all three. “We’re glad Z finally got you out of your room.” Jack mumbled into my shoulder. “We’ve been worried about you ever since well you know.” Quinn said as him and Jack backed out of the hug, Luke still hanging onto me. I gave Jack and Quinn a smile then looked at Luke. “Luke, are you good?” I asked. “I should be asking you that. My big sister got hurt. Are you sure you don’t want me to go beat him up?” He asked now pulling away. “It’s fine. I’ll be back soon.” I said with a small smile. They all said bye then Trevor and I left in his car to go eat and then to the movies. We stopped and ate at McDonald’s and we’re now walking into the movie theater. “What movie do you want to see?” Trevor asked wrapping his arms around my waist resting his head on the top of mine as he stood behind me. “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.” I said pointing to the poster they had on the wall of the movie. “Okay, princess.” He said then stepped away to buy the tickets while I stood there waiting for him. He came back with the tickets, popcorn, and drinks. I grabbed my drink and ticket from him as we walked to where we’d hand over the ticket. After that they pointed us in the direction to where the movie was playing. When we got in there we sat down in the middle and Trevor had his arm around my shoulders. I had mostly forgotten about what had happened with my now ex boyfriend and ex best friend. Trevor is a big part of helping me forget it too. The movie started and I watched it intently. I always loved the hunger games series and have been wanting to see this movie. After the movie was over we went out going back to my house. “So, how did you like the movie?” Trevor asked as we got to my doorstep. “I loved it! I loved Lucy and Coryo’s actors a lot.” I said as we walked in. “That’s good but I have a surprise for you.” He said and I got really confused as he covered my eyes. “What’s happening?” I asked concern lacing my voice. “Just trust me. You’ll love it.” He said as he led me through the house and I’m guessing to the back porch because I could suddenly feel a breeze.

He took his hands away to reveal the back porch decorated with fairy lights and star ones trickling down the sides. My brothers were standing in the middle smiling. “What is this for?” I asked looking around with amazement. “We did it. Trevor got us to do it while you were out.” Luke said with a small smile. “Thank you boys.” I said with a smile to which they all replied with a you’re welcome. They suddenly left and Trevor held out his hand. “Dance with me?” He said with a joyful glint in his eyes. “Always.” I said smiling still taking his hand. He led me to the middle and put on a song. Lover by Taylor Swift. As the song started Trevor put his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck and we started slow dancing. It got to a certain spot in the song that Trevor started singing it making me chuckle. “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, but I want ‘em all.” He sung as he picked me up by the waist and spun me around gently. “Can I go where you go?” He said putting me down as we continued to dance. Suddenly we got close our noses touching and our lips just inches apart. “Can we always be this close forever and ever?” I said the lyrics and then we both leaned in more kissing. The kiss was gentle and soft. We both pulled apart leaning our foreheads against each other. The song ended and we smiled to each other. “I’ve been waiting to do that for forever.” Trevor told me. “You should’ve done it sooner.” I whispered as we now hugged. Today was great after I had actually gotten out of bed. All thanks to Trevor and the help of my brothers.
