How are all the AUs☺️

Nico and Hailey -> They’re in Mallorca with Nico’s friends! She didn’t plan for a trip to Spain so Nico took her shopping, which she tried to refuse but he wasn’t having it. They’re definitely having a lot fun

John and Ana -> Ana’s starting to struggle a bit with parenthood and getting a little overwhelmed because she feels like she’s stuck in an endless loop. Her and John don’t sleep much and they do split all of the parenting duties pretty evenly, though John tries to do more of the shared tasks because he’s more than aware he can’t do some of the things Ana has to. They’re both pretty exhausted, but she’s definitely struggling more than him in a lot of ways.

Jack and Blossom -> Blossom flew back home when Jack went to Vancouver for the Canucks game, and she isn’t sure when she’s going to go back to the lake house. Jacks missing her like crazy and the guys definitely hear about it all the time. Luke’s even called her and told her that he’ll pay for her plane ticket to get Jack to shut up.

Quinn and Grier -> Grier took Quinn with her back home so he could meet her family! Her brother loves Quinn and talks his ear off all the time. Grier’s parents are a little stiff around the two of them but they try and be inclusive and friendly towards Quinn. They go to Michigan together next week!

Elias and Laila -> Elias stayed in Vancouver a little bit longer than he usually would to spend time with Laila and Theo. They took a little trip to Montreal together since that’s where Laila is from and she took Elias around and showed her all the places she grew up. Theo is growing super attached to Elias as the days go on and it scares Laila a little to be honest.

Matty and Livvy -> With Matty in the playoffs, they spend a lot of their time together doing absolutely nothing together (clothes are hardly ever on though). She’s really proud of how far they’re going and she will be sat in the stands this saturday.

Jeremy and Chandler -> They’re good! or are they 🫣 No i’m kidding they’re doing really good now but i’m still trying to blurb their fight so more updates to come!

Tito and Belle -> Belle is on her way to vacation with her brother today and she had no idea who is already there with him. They’ve been talking every day, but Tito left out the little detail of him being there and she does get a little annoyed with him when she finds out

A little update on our AU couples <3

Nico and Hailey -> Nico recently found out the reason Hailey has been avoiding saying she wanted to visit him over the summer was because she doesn’t have a passport. They talk about it and she gets her application in, but it can take a while to come in. They also briefly touch on the idea of them being long distance over the summer and it was a tense convo.

John and Ana -> They have been officially back together for a couple of weeks now and they are finally moving in together! They made the decision to stay in Jersey for a while because it would be easier than going up to Boston with a new born.

Jack and Blossom -> Blossom went to stay with Jack in Colorado after his shoulder surgery and they got back yesterday. She’s been talking with his parents a lot for their help in his recovery. Jacks been super whiny and pouty because she won’t have sex with him because of his shoulder even though he assured her that it was okay.

Quinn and Grier -> They’re in a little lull right now. Playoffs are coming up and they’re both working so much that they barely have time to see each other. It’s been a bit tense, but they always end up in the same bad at the end of the night and that’s what theyre holding on to.

Elias and Laila -> They’re doing so good!! They said I love you for the first time recently and it’s been going great! They’re much closer than before and Laila is making sure Elias knows that she isn’t going anywhere.

Matty and Livvy -> These two have been making plans for the upcoming summer. Livvy wants to visit her family and also his, so she’s been trying to work that out. Matty has been prepping for playoffs and he has got a lot of stress to relieve with his girl so they are busy busy.

Jeremy and Chandler -> She is a bit down after her boys lost to Denver yesterday, and he’s in her corner comforting her even though they aren’t physically together. Jeremy doesn’t get home until Tuesday and she misses him a lot so they’re both a bit down.

Tito and Belle -> Things got a little heated between them the other night. She got a little tipsy after a night with her friends and came home to him already on the couch. They almost kissed but he stopped it and told her that he was going to bed instead…

So I left a lot of these non-existent or vague so people can plug in themselves and people they love BUT here’s who I picture 😍

Doc: I don’t really have an actor who fits her so I made this AI thing when I was thinking up the character? But I’ve pictured her as fairly petite (5’2”-5’4” ish?), small but not skinny, rounded but not thicc. Basically just the personification of softness and femininity. She’s got a lot of hair that’s wavy/curly that gets out of control easily and her personal style is the thrift shop version of Jess from New Girl. She looks like someone the apocalypse will chew up and spit out.

Andrew: my sweet baby angel! When we first meet him, he is 110% Lucas from Stranger Things. Fairly baby faced but brave in the face of it all - and still able to find happiness and joy. By the time Doc leaves the QZ, I’m kind of leaning Donald Glover? Someone mentioned they cast him as Andrew Garfield and I kinda love that too lol

Jess: Our third member of the codependency squad (who was honestly way understanding of her boyfriend/husband’s weird attachment and we love her for it) and resident comedian is, in my head, Doctor Who era Karen Gillan. Red hair, vibe of sass and strength but also naïveté (and so pretty that we can’t blame Andrew for gawking at her for months) we love her.

Derek: the good guy who might have been if it weren’t for trauma and Joel! He’s 40 year old James Marsden. Just… *chef’s kiss* Look between him, Joel and Tommy? Doc can PULL. Someone said they cast Oscar Isaac here and look… Oscar is like maybe the one man I might find more attractive than Pedro, it depends on the day BUT I cannot cast him as anything but a leading man. Oscar and Pedro can only be end game in my book (but I will accept any and all HC castings lol)

Kristen: Our favorite, competent as HELL trauma nurse! I pictured her as being unexpectedly feisty coming from a small, pretty, blonde package. Does she seem like someone you’d underestimate? Poor choice on your part but that’s her. Malin Akerman is who she is for me!

Marta: our tough still figuring it out assistant turned expert nurse! I wanted someone sweet but strong who could be both naive and brilliant, so Ana de Armas it is! Only realized just now that her name in Knives Out is also Marta lol I FORGOT THAT BUT OH WELL!

Elias: Our stalwart dogooder under the umbrella of FEDRA turned exhausted man trying to keep people alive, Elias is a kind hearted leader trying to do the best he can with what very little he has. His caring and drive I think are exemplified in Jimmy Smits - especially West Wing era Jimmy Smits at the beginning of the fic.
