I mean, I personally interpreted the bigass black 'eggs' with squiggly roots in the Abyss to actually be seed pods stocked full of eggs from which multiple vessels hatched (since its way too big for only one baby), so if we're looking at it from that perspective, the answer is yes! Her using that means of reproduction also is probably how the vessels became voided- either artificially injecting the pod full of void or allowing it to sprout in the Abyss means that it would have been flooded with void, and thus affected the development of the embryos within. I don't think she's a fruiting plant BECAUSE of the vessel project, I just think that her naturally reproducing by bundling multiple zygotes into one big batch ended up making the experiments a whole lot easier

Now, how she actually DEVELOPS those seed pods is the real question :D
