START telling me about Liam I'll throw up/pos

oh dude dude so liam is kyles younger brother and theyre very close. liam is a pretty nice, easygoing, kinda nerdy but friendly guy who’s had an interest in things like cryptids, aliens, magic, etc from a young age. kyle quickly follows in this interest and they spend a lot of time ‘monster hunting’ in the woods (taking cool photos, practicing bigfoot calls, etc). kyle cares for him a lot and is always looking out for him as an older brother, even if he’s a little reckless and unhinged at times. liam can sometimes be that voice of reason that keeps kyle from doing anything too crazy (and now look at how well kyle is faring without liam to keep him grounded)

liam always did much better in school. kyle is the problem child who skips class and doesn’t pay attention, but liam had great grades and was set to go to college for computer science. kyle doesn’t think very highly of himself, not in a pity-party way but mote of an acceptance? he thinks simply, “im not a great guy, im not good at school and idk what i want a carreer in. my brother is super smart and has a lot of potential, it’s my role to focus on helping him thrive”. looks out for liam, drives him to school, etc.

sidenote kyle’s car is full of marker doodles on the interior and anyone who rides in it can draw on the insides. the passenger seat is full of liam doodles of green ufos and cute aliens and stuff. the car is also named Charizard.

i think kyle is selfless in a stubborn way that ropes back around to selfishness. kyle is so loyal that he would put himself in harms way to protect someone he cared about in an instant. but this isn’t necessarily a Good thing - when you’re an older brother or a role model or any instance of being looked up to, you have a responsibility to take care of yourself too and he is severely lacking in this department. liam is 17 when he goes missing and i don’t think kyle has fully grasped just how mature liam is at this point. liam is worried for kyle and kyle has no idea.

liam goes missing in March of 2009. The campaign begins in September of 2009, 6 months later. this is just enough time that people are beginning to move on from the tragedy, except kyle of course, who refuses to move on/go back to school/get a job until he finds the truth. he puts missing person posters up all over town. he leaves ominous graffiti criticizing the police and reminding the town that people go missing here & no one cares. also another Fun Sidenote is that because liam goes missing in march, he misses his 18th birthday (june 18. hes a cancer i consider these things) and his high school graduation. alexa play wake me up when september ends (i dont think kyle can listen to this song). ever since the disappearance kyle gets nightmares once every week or two i think

hm what else oh yeah so in our discord server for the campaign we have 1-on-1 text channels with the other members where we can roleplay text conversations our characters may have between sessions. i asked jinx for a channel for kyle and liam where kyle can text liam telling him about his adventures and all of his cool new friends who are going to help him find him. liam doesn’t reply of course- wherever he’s gone he clearly doesn’t have access to his cell phone or else the mystery would have been solved a Lot quicker. but i think kyle and liam, despite both having friends in school, were always a little bit of the town weirdos that were way more into fantasy stuff than anyone else. so i think when kyle bonds with the party, he’s happy to have other magic weirdos around him for once, but it also eats him up inside to think about how much liam would like his new friends too. the party visits a cool magical library at some point and kyle has a moment where he just Stares at it all and thinks about how much he would love it. their mother is a librarian and they definitely spent a lot of their childhood running around the library playing & reading while she worked.

something crazy we realized is that every member of the party has a four-letter name (kyle, edie, vera, bill) and also is associated with colors in an order (red, pink, purple, blue). liam’s name also has four letters and his associated color is green. its a spooky coincidence that emphasizes that this person should be here, and their abscence is felt.

so yeah ermmm erm uhh yeah thats how its going!!!!!

im once again looking for roleplay partners!! preferably long term. ive got worldbuilding and headcanons and plot ideas for most fandoms and other things if that'll help. i can write three discord messages per reply if you like longer rps, but if youd prefer shorter rps i can do that as well (though i probably will write more anyway!) i have plenty of fandoms (adventure time, object shows, and little nightmares, warrior cats) but right now im looking for dandy's world roleplayers!! i can do alternate timelines, AU's and OC's (within reason of course)

while i am mainly looking for dandy's world roleplayers at the moment, i do have a couple other fandoms i will list after this. for dandy's world, i main shrimpo, and would be ecstatic if i could find someone do to an angst angryhug (goob x shrimpo) roleplay, (i also like boxten x shrimpo, but i dont know the shipname for that one ;o;) ive got a design for shrimpo (canon and alt) that ill be adding to the end of this post !! i love infection aus or just general zomie-like worldbuilding, and general horror themes !! and if i love the rp ill probably draw alot of the scenes...

for object shows ive got plenty of ocs, or i can do canon characters from (ONE, TNM, ITFT, or AB) most of the characters can be negotiated and talked about in pms.

for adventure time i main iceking (and simon), and can do AU's and AT's and have plenty of AUs and alternate timelines! and headcanons.

hi hello! I always love seeing your takes, esp ttrpg ones. 👀 i hope this ask isnt annoying haha. so im visiting my girlfriend and we love playing silly little games and roleplaying. any rpg games youd recc for two players? ive seen people swear by "eyes on the prize" and i have that one, just looking for some more ideas! that is if you have any duets on your mind

I admittedly haven't played many two-player RPGs (My husband and I sometimes do two-player sessions using Mythic GM emulator, but we haven't really tried playing anything specifically designed for two players. I did design a silly two-player game for a game jam a couple years ago but beyond the playtesting I did by myself I haven't really touched it since and I wouldn't be able to tell you how fun it is)

However, there are some two-player games I've heard some good things about:

Partners, which is an investigation game about playing the classic "straight-laced cop + wildcard cop" duo

Dice Souls, which is a Dark-souls inspired TTRPG for one player + One GM

Actually Runecairn also fits the description above, except that Dice Souls is more of a storygame while Runecairn is more of a traditional RPG

A Scoundrel in the Deep is a pretty interesting one, where one player plays an adventurer attemping to escape with a treasure hoard, and the othe rplayer plays The Deep, which is the dungeon itself. It has an interesting reolution system based on using a matchbook (many mechanics but to boil it down, the Scoundrel can only see while their player has a lit match, and the player must describe how they overcome the obstacles described by The Deep before the match goes out)

The idea i had was Fionna and Simon get summoned by Prismo and they have to fix the rips they made in the universes they travelled to, for example they left baby finn in the vampire world and they have to go back and return him to his own world. While doing that they could run into the vampire king again who has his eyes set on stealing the remote since he has almost wiped out all of his food. We could brain storm together ^^

A leche hobbies update:

Update on knitting adventures: almost done with a scarf I started 🤔 dropped stitches everywhere but it really helps with my adhd to have something in my hands to play with while feeling like I’m working towards something! Don’t think I’ll show it off though LMAO, it’s ugly as a scarf but I like it as a “baby’s first scarf” to look back on when I get better. And it’s warm :)!

Other thing: picked up a sewing machine from the good will and still in really great shape and working! Its old and has character and I love it HAH. I’m learning from my abuelita on her own machine. It’d be great to combine this and knitting to make essentials and to repair clothes that really need it.

Drawing/not really a hobby it’s my “Jobby”: sorry for being a lil slow on updates! I got a little bit of burnout and I really want to finish summers commissions so I can clear my schedule more. I’m just about done so I’m no longer chipping on three projects at a time between my full time job oof-but do know they are being worked on. I’ve got adoptables on the way and sketching the next ask-n update! I’ve also been keeping an eye on other places to post like insta and bluesky but I feel like I need to like…observe? Some more? Before committing and learning whole new platforms and posting schedules bleh.

I got other projects in the pipeline, one including a pmd thing, more Paldea headcanons and what not and some certain purple psychic cat things returning. But all in due time! Can’t overwhelm myself : 0

And a little bit of a rant or ramble about perhaps dropping a longtime hobby I’ve had and feeling sad about it beneath the cut ;( but if you’ve read this far thanks! Love ya’ll for supporting me!

I think a handful of you? Know I roleplay on this platform and have for a good seven? Eight? Years. It’s fun, a lot of my ideas and headcanons and art I’m known for were actually jump started by some random thread or idea from between my rp partners and what not. The Mewtwo blog, ask-n, scarlet turo and etc etc were old muses or ideas that turned into their own thing. It’s always been so easy to write and collaborate your ideas with the rp community you’re in and it becomes it’s whole big thing!

But I know it hasn’t always been the healthiest hobby for me after awhile but esp when I want to focus on content creation as a job that I’m really into. I no longer have the time to maintain plots and characters despite being so determined to stick to it. It’s becoming more of a distraction of just scrolling down the rp dashboard out of FOMO more then anything and heck I can’t even see most of it as a lot of events and verses and etc I blacklist to attempt to curb anxiety and distractions which haven’t been working lately 🤔 I still get lots of anxiety.

That and the community’s changed really. I know every old rper has typed their piece on “back in the good old days-“, leaves their blog and doesn’t give any useful advice or attempt to change the narrative lol. I don’t want to do that.

And it’s not the communities fault either. It’s natural for spaces to change to help new ideas and new people come in. It just means maybe it’s no longer meant for me and that’s okay. If anything it’s more how my friends I’ve been with for all my time there have left or are leaving. There’s a disconnect I can’t seem to get over no matter what new muse or idea I promote esp when I’m no longer comfortable in the space I enjoyed for so long. I never had to block so many things before and again not the communities fault and none of the things I’m blocking are unsavory, it’s more like my tastes and likes and dislikes and what I have spoons for have just become different over so long. It’s totally a me thing.

It’s in my mind that maybe it’s okay to let it go since I’m getting so hyped for my newer hobbies and the ideas I have for my art/comics. I don’t have the time anymore to dedicate so much energy on it like I use to esp when even over all my work Im still figuring out my adhd after getting diagnosed officially, new meds, the other mental diagnosis that makes the mental soup in my head alongside other life stuff.

I owe rp in general for helping me get that creative spark and through a lot of tough, long dark times. It’s provided me with the escapism and outlet since like, forever. I started rping in ye old Neopet neomail days and haven’t stopped since besides the occasional period that didn’t last long. Who knows maybe this is just a rut and I’ll feel better tomorrow or next week or something. Could be the change of seasons where my seasonal depression kicks in but I’m not quitting yet but it’s somewhere in the funky mind palace as I navigate this weird patch.

Another update (please read) !

I wanted to explain the current deal with the RP to those who are not in the server, so here we are! There is some bad news and some good news.

Bad news: The Five Kins as we know it in RP form has been shelved, for various reasons. The most prominent reason is that the scale of everything just turned out to be too much and the story and concepts weren’t as suitable for a big group as I thought it would be. Everyone who participated did a wonderful job and I’ve been really touched by the support in making this decision, as I was very nervous about disappointing people, especially with the current state of WCRP servers in mind. I’ve been in this community for a few years now and I thought I was ready for something that complex, but I guess sometimes things just don’t work out. And that’s okay!

Good news: the server has been shifted into a general xenofiction/animal fantasy OC/RP hub! One of the projects included is a smaller-scale successor of TFK, with the remaining characters in a potentially new setting. We’re still figuring out the basics so I can’t say much yet in that regard but I’m very interested to see what happens. Im not sure if we’ll be opening access to that specific verse for more members, however, if people are interested in the server as a whole, let me know! There isn’t any focus on one particular verse in the server, and you can just talk about your related OCs or the genre without roleplaying too.

Other news: I have ideas brewing for a few potential things. One of them is a TTRPG based on the official Warriors Adventure Game, the other is a mixed format RP with a focus on natural wildlife (which this poll was in relation to). I’m currently tossing a plot idea around that could very well work with either route, and I can give updates on that too if people want.

I’m not too sure what will come of this blog with the new direction the server is taking. I’d like to promote other RPs and similar servers, but I’d also like to talk about what is created in the server, maybe treat this as an archive? Again, this has all been very recent so I can’t say for sure. But thank you for reading!

- JUST GENERALLY PRAISING YAKKO FOR HIS PERFORMANCE AS ASHE. grizzly goes "i honestly forgot you were a guest player i just want you to stay here forever now"

- bizly and yakko the night before they recorded this were up late thinking about just . goofy scary things for the trickster to do. like what if the floor is lava but REAL. what if his ARMS GOT LONG. shit like that

- BIZLY WAS GETTING EMOTIONAL DURING THE SCENE RIGHT BEFORE ASHE FULLY TURNS INTO THE TRICKSTER. which is HUGE because its a running joke in riptide that bizly never gets emotional during character moments and grizzly is like. the big crybaby about it. polar opposites of the getting emotionally immersed in roleplay

- grizzly: i know out of character we had to leave ashe here because it works for the story and also youre a guest and cant stay forever but in character, dakota would NEVER do that willingly. if circumstances were just a little different i think william and vyncent wouldve had to physically drag him out of there" :(

- when they first got into the room, charlie condi and yakko thought thetubes were gonna open and 4 regular gators were gonna come out to fight them. grizzly thought it was gonna be wavelength betraying them with the other lieutenants (AGAIN. WHY ALL THE MARK WINTERS HATE. I DONT UNDERSTAND)

- QUICK BACKSTORY RECAP BY GRIZZLY. basically verbatim to how hes saying it.

vyncent: is from another world. looked up to an adventuring party. (condi: the important part was the whole "monsters that dont look like monsters" thing)

william: theres a bunch of ghosts spirits monsters in deadwood and he and his friends were investigating them until one day he followed a wisp into a forest and fell down a hole and died and came back as a wisp and now all the monsters and ghouls are out to get him so he had to leave deadwood so his friends and family wouldnt be in danger (charlie: well when you put it like that it sounds so much lamer)

ashe: had a trickster book and the trickster killed his mom. idk why he thought that was a good idea. actually, when you got possessed by the trickster the first time, howd you get him back in the book? (bizly: theres more to that story you guys havent learned yet so im not gonna just tell you. you have to figure that stuff out in character)

- dakota: (from charlie this time) uhh your parents died and you take risks and jump off things and then one day a girl jumped off a thing with you and you grabbed her but then also died like william wisp because we like falling off of things and getting superpowers apparently so you fell off something and got superpowers and then you left the hospital before they coukd tell you anything and you ran into the woods where you met a strange old man that taught you how to fight stuff i guess (grizzly: i never actually wrote what happened to the girl in my backstory. bizly: because you wouldnt KNOW)

- dakota adrenaline junkie........ (grizzly: its worse now because he has powers and he can do all the things he used to and MORE. and SURVIVE)

- they all believe tide was mind controlled from the time he went to talk to whirlwind by himself after they beat him. bizly says he misspoke and describes some things wrong, tide wasnt actually mind controlled until they were actually in the building. he kept rolling saves for him and every time he just rolled like garbage so he never broke out of it

- its a 2/3 split on how theyre planning to react to the heroes. vyncent and william are bitter about it because neither of them are used to living in a place with a lot of heroes so they dont know how all of this is supposed to work. theyre angry that the heroes never showed up when they needed them and the one time they actually do come its just MINUTES too late after their friend had to basically sacrifice himself to save them instead. dakota, who grew up in and around the city basically worshipping superheroes, doesnt understand why theyd be so angry.

- the reason overlord knew they were coming is because the gunman from the whirlwind fight got away. he instantly came back to overlord and told him to expect pd soon because they beat whirlwind

im still looking for roleplay partners, preferably long term please. ive got worldbuilding and headcanons and plot ideas for all three fandoms and other things if that'll help. i can write three discord messages per reply if you like longer rps, but if youd prefer shorter rps i can do that as well (though i probably will write more anyway!)

i do adventure time, object shows, and little nightmares!! i can do alternate timelines, AU's and OC's (of which i have for all three fandoms!)

ive got alot of ninjago stuff i can talk about in pms if anyones interested, for ninjago i main garmadon but i can also play kai, cole, pixal, nya, and arin.

for object shows ive got plenty of ocs, or i can do canon characters from (ONE, TNM, ITFT, or AB) most of the characters can be negotiated and talked about in pms.

for adventure time i main iceking (and simon), and can do AU's and AT's and have plenty of AUs and alternate timelines! and headcanons

i like angst roleplays, slice of life, and probably more that i cant think of. i have been roleplaying for years so im willing to communicate with my rp partner and figure something out that we both enjoy !! currently i really want to roleplay with either the adventure time, little nightmares, or ninjago fandoms (though object shows are always welcome!) triggers and stuff can be discussed in pms.

I’m Addy, and I’m excited to dive into the world of Supernatural (SPN) roleplay! I’ve watched up to half of season 7, but my god do not ask me what is going on after season 4/5. I know I do, but I also don't know, you know?   

I’m 20 (she/her) and looking for partners who are 19+ and have a real talent for yapping and more yapping and like to have a longterm story!!   

I have like what, 5 or 6 sort of plot ideas/setting ideas? Most connected the supernatural universe itself and packed with action, scary vibes and romance. But im really looking for people who want to add their own ideas!   Here’s a quick overview: 

- Literacy Level: I usually write 2 to 3+ paragraphs in third-person. My writing style varies depending on the scene, and I tend to go beyond Discord's message limit. I prefer using Discord!    I created an female oc and I’m all in for mature romance and double-ups. I adore both Sam and Dean, so just let me know who you’d like to write (i have a preference to Dean tho ^^), and I can whip up a character for you as well (Fxm or FxF). Just to clarify, no ocxoc, looking for ocxcc/double. 

I’d love for our story to be set in the earlier seasons, and if you could keep it spoiler-free for me, that would be fantastic! I’m open to multiple storylines, so let’s mix it up with some cracky, spicy, romantic, scary, and adventurous episodes—just like the show! Also, isn't it a good idea if our oc's were good friends or maybe family??    nsfw: im all in for some horror stuff too! Not dirty of writing some angsty shit but no Dead dove things as i am a sucker for a happiness. I also think mature themes can be fun, ugh the drama and tension in romance. I mostly write sub/switch, think it would be fun to write against someone who writes switch/dom for once! 💞

- bizly and yakko the night before they recorded this episode were up late thinking about just . goofy scary things for the trickster to do. like what if the floor is lava but REAL. what if his ARMS GOT LONG. shit like that

- BIZLY WAS GETTING EMOTIONAL DURING THE SCENE RIGHT BEFORE ASHE FULLY TURNS INTO THE TRICKSTER. which is HUGE because its a running joke in riptide that bizly never gets emotional during character moments and grizzly is like. the big crybaby about it. polar opposites of the getting emotionally immersed in roleplay spectrum

- grizzly: "i know out of character we had to leave ashe here because it works for the story and also youre a guest and cant stay forever but in character, dakota would NEVER do that willingly. if circumstances were just a little different i think william and vyncent wouldve had to physically drag him out of there" :(

- when they first got into the room, charlie condi and yakko thought thetubes were gonna open and 4 regular gators were gonna come out to fight them. grizzly thought it was gonna be wavelength betraying them with the other lieutenants (AGAIN. WHY ALL THE MARK WINTERS HATE. I DONT UNDERSTAND)

- QUICK BACKSTORY RECAP BY GRIZZLY. basically verbatim to how hes saying it.

vyncent: is from another world. looked up to an adventuring party. (condi: the important part was the whole "monsters that dont look like monsters" thing)

william: theres a bunch of ghosts spirits monsters in deadwood and he and his friends were investigating them until one day he followed a wisp into a forest and fell down a hole and died and came back as a wisp and now all the monsters and ghouls are out to get him so he had to leave deadwood so his friends and family wouldnt be in danger (charlie: well when you put it like that it sounds so much lamer)

ashe: had a trickster book and the trickster killed his mom. idk why he thought that was a good idea. actually, when you got possessed by the trickster the first time, howd you get him back in the book? (bizly: theres more to that story you guys havent learned yet so im not gonna just tell you. you have to figure that stuff out in character)

- dakota: (from charlie this time) uhh your parents died and you take risks and jump off things and then one day a girl jumped off a thing with you and you grabbed her but then also died like william wisp because we like falling off of things and getting superpowers apparently so you fell off something and got superpowers and then you left the hospital before they coukd tell you anything and you ran into the woods where you met a strange old man that taught you how to fight stuff i guess (grizzly: i never actually wrote what happened to the girl in my backstory. bizly: because you wouldnt KNOW)

- dakota adrenaline junkie........ (grizzly: its worse now because he has powers and he can do all the things he used to and MORE. and SURVIVE)

- they all believe tide was mind controlled from the time he went to talk to whirlwind by himself after they beat him. bizly says he misspoke and described some things wrong, tide wasnt actually mind controlled until they were actually in the building. he kept rolling saves for him and every time he just rolled like garbage so he never broke out of it

- its a 2/3 split on how theyre planning to react to the heroes. vyncent and william are bitter about it because neither of them are used to living in a place with a lot of heroes so they dont know how all of this is supposed to work. theyre angry that the heroes never showed up when they needed them and the one time they actually do come its just MINUTES too late after their friend had to basically sacrifice himself to save them instead. dakota, who grew up in and around the city basically worshipping superheroes, doesnt understand why theyd be so angry.

- the reason overlord knew they were coming is because the gunman from the whirlwind fight got away. he instantly came back to overlord and told him to expect pd soon because they beat whirlwind
