the way (a good majority) of this fandom hates amrita needs to be studied.

to describe a child/teen with a crush on an older man as a pick-me or "annoying" is so... baffling to me. many young girls crush on older men, crushes are normal for teens. and i really, REALLY don't get the pick-me part??? she has a bit of an attitude?? and a crush??? and she's a pick-me then?? like no, she's still a good or at least, decent friend to deviya.

Flowers embroidered the high walls of the Doobay estate, clinging and spiralling down the pillars, gently swaying with the silent breeze as they hung in patterns from the arches. Delicious aromas invaded the senses the moment you walked though the stately double doors of the main entrance. The whole place was alive and buzzing with activity. the reason for this? Raj Doobay's upcoming wedding to Amrita Rai.

Yes, while the occasion wasn't the most joyous for certain parties all in all there were no real consequences,save the personal ones of this particular arrangement.

As the carriage halted,Devi hauled herself out , her body aching from the travel but she wouldn't miss it for the world. Amrita had, at one point been her closest, dearest friend, and although such was not the case anymore, she still cared about her and often times felt sorrow at her situation.

In that , it seemed Amrita had grown up faster than Devi. while devi still lingered onto notions of love and marriage coexisting , Amrita had long ago compartmentalised them, realising that what she wanted came at the price , a price she was willing to pay.

While their recent encounter had thrown both women off balance , it seemed devi had been once again reminded of the harsh reality. And now, this set up served to rub salt to a wound that in her estimation would never heal. She gathered her deep blue saree, pushing away the threatening emotions as she crossed the threshold. She was instantly hit by the social atmosphere. She was still taking it all in when a small body collided against her. She looked down to see Aditya Thakur staring up at her.

In recent times, he had accompanied Erit all the more often and back when Kairas was still managing the affairs of the sharma family, all the younger heirs would spend time together with nothing particular to do during the meetings.

"Where have you been? I don't see you at meetings anymore?" He questioned.

How could she explain this to him? She herself couldn't comprehend her own reality, much less put it across to a eight year old.

She rolled her eyes, putting on a silly expression and tickled the boy while saying " Uh.. Boring stuff keeps me away from all the fun you're having. "

The boy giggled, pulling her hand to lead her to a game of cards he was currently playing. As they neared the seating area, she saw his entertainer was none other than the younger Doobay.

Ram locked eyes with her, neither one ready to look away and end the moment. His attention was pulled away as Aditya made himself comfortable on Ram's lap.

"I'm on Ram's team this time. Devi, he always wins. " He informed her.

"Oh really? Let me see how he wins this time around. "

"Please take a seat Miss Sharma, let me serve you your defeat. " He teased as he began handing out the cards.

Both stared intently at their draw, eyeing each other, hoping the other would give something away. As the game progressed, Devi began realising she was on the losing side, not one to back away she came up with a better way to win.

She looked at Ram, fluttering her eyelashes before mouthing something to him. He arched his brow, smirking. Discarding his Trump cards in the next few rounds, he let assured victory pass him by.

"Looks like Miss Sharma has been paying more attention to cards than her business affairs. What exactly does Kamal mentor you for? "

"Behave yourself or people might back away from their promises."

"Not when they want it more than me. "

Devi glared at him with his self assured smirk as he consoled the Thakur heir who was dismayed at Ram's loss.

"You know, how about some other game? I heard saraswati is really bad at chaturanga. You'll most definitely win. " Devi suggested.

As the young boy scurried off to find her, both welcomed each other's company. Ram slowly got up, holding out his hand for her which she readily accepted as he led her away. Once they reached a secluded spot, he turned to face her.

"Tell me. "

"What? "

He only gazed at her knowingly before her carefully constructed walls broke away and she shuddered from the emotions.

"It's only that this whole wedding has been making me feel like this" She trailed off not knowing how to explain it to him, that she was wavering from what they both already knew. It was becoming increasingly hard to accept reality. " Unsteady. " She finished.

Ram nodded. "It's making you question things.... About us. "

"Yes and no. If anything it makes me want this more but suddenly hope grows in my heart.. I.. I'm scared. Ram, I can't help but wonder how this is going to end. "

"Badly."

"Don't say that. " She knew him to speak the truth but for just this once she wished he would lie to her, tell her it was possible that they could exist beyond the shadows. But Ram Doobay would never be one to do that, she recognized that.

He walked over to her as she sat in the window, kneeling down and resting both his hands on her knees.

"Devi, I will do everything in my power to make sure this does not end..."

Her heart hammered so rapidly against her chest. Had he just confessed to her the possibility of a future, did he wish for what she ached too?

She got up suddenly, pulling him up with her. Her insecurities and the anxiety in her heart subdued. While she still couldn't fathom either of them belonging to someone else, for now it seemed enough.

She cleared her throat, wrapping her arms around his neck before adding in sotto voce.

"Enough of all that now. I believe I made a promise I must keep. "

"Oh you must. "

Their lips met, his warm arms enveloping her as she pushed into him, wanting to be closer than ever. She continued her affections as her lips attached to his neck, moving up towards the angle of his jaw. He gave her an appreciative groan as she smirked in pride at eliciting these sounds from him.

Finally breaking away, they gathered themselves and made their respective timely exits to make sure no one noticed their absence.

From her balcony, Amrita Rai stared in disbelief at her childhood friend and the man keeping her company. She realised now why Devi seemed so in anguish to hold marriage apart from love. She had after all been done the kindness of receiving requited love. After months of stoicism, Amrita, in her solitude, felt tears roll down her cheeks.

She laughed in mirth at the goddess's will. Devi and her both ached desperately for what the other had but somehow,even in their pitiful state, they both had received exactly what they needed.

Guide to 90's-2000's desi aesthetic

If you want to be more like Aishwarya Rai from Dil ka Rishta or Amrita Rao from Vivah, this guide is for you.

Clothes

1. Go for fitted traditional dresses be it kurta, suit or even long dresses. They should be tailored to your sizes. Choose fabrics like chiffon and georgette.

2. Choose pastel colors or bright colors. Never dull colors.

3. Make it as simple as possible. If you are opting for a kurta set, your duppata should be plain, the kurti can be plain or some simple embroidery or chikankari or some other work can also go. The bottom again should be plain devoid of any work. Make sure you are wearing the same color top to bottom.

Makeup

Simplicity is the key for this aesthetic. Don't overdo anything. Keep your makeup as natural as possible.

Apply foundation and concealer to hide any acne or pigmentation. Nothing else.

Wear nude lipstick and add lipgloss to it.

Same with eyes. Nude eyeshadow or avoid it if you want to. Finish with eyeliner.

Hair

If you have straight hair, this aesthetic works for you. I, personally think, straight hair gives very polished, neat look and this is why the aesthetic works.

Don't worry if you have wavy or curly hair. To achieve that put together look, you can tie up your hair in braids or in a bun or ponytail. If you want to leave it open, what I do is, I frame my hair to my face and then tuck the rest of the hair behind. it works for me cause I have bangs so they stay on the front, rest of the hair behind. Otherwise you could always straighten your hair.

Jwellery

Again, simplicity is the key. Wear a small bindi matching your clothes or you can even wear that shiny one.

Either wear earrings or a necklace set. I mostly prefer earrings but if you want to wear both, make sure they are the small dainty ones.

You can also wear simple set of chudis in both hands matching the color of your clothes.

Mannerism

This is the most important in my eyes. You can look like Aishwarya Rai from Dil ka Rishta but the way you handle the look is the most important.

Ever wondered why Laxman was suddenly interested in Sanju in Mai Hoon Na? It wasn't just her wearing indian that did it neither it was the straightened hair.

She looked put together, more feminine after her makeover. She leaned into her feminine energy.

Be elegant, graceful, expressive. Smile more. Talk softly. Walk properly. Own your outfit with confidence.

Imagine you are Shantipriya yourself from Om Shanti Om, I don't care. Even the lookalike of Shanti had to learn her mannerism. You can do it do.

At the end I would say experiment. I would suggest at first, get your clothes tailored. Make your outfit. See what works and what doesn't. If you are shy about your arms get sleeves. If you are slender and have hourglass figure, go for long bodycon dresses and pair it with duppatta. Research and see what type of necklines, back, straps, etc works for you.

Usually, Amrita prefers not to curse those who do not deserve it but apparently Samar Pratap and his bloodline definitely deserve all the curses that she hurls at their way.

He fucking mentioned politics before he mentioned the health of his relative. And that too in front of several members of the party, who could sell this information to any media outlet, for fun and it'd ruin the party reputation.

Harsh stares at her worriedly as she talks to all of her contacts to minimise the damage.

She walks in the viewing room. "Mamaji, can I have a minute, please?"

All of them stare at her weirdly, an unspoken accusation in their eyes about her presence being unwanted or unnecessary. She doesn't care. She has a job.

Mamaji nods and beckons her to the corner of the room. Amrita feels wary of even saying this in the same room but she can't very well say it outside, with all the vultures lurking. She leans in close to whisper. "Ramnath ji mentioned politics before he even asked for Bhanu uncle's health. Some people heard him and now the rumours have started about his issues with the party."

Mamaji looks away in frustration. He looks back at her and whispers,"What did he say, exactly? Verbatim."

"He said he found this after resigning. That the authority escaped from his hand. He was about to say more but Chandra uncle stopped him." Amrita clears her throat. "I found this out verbatim, mamaji. Someone else may have too."

He eyes her shrewdly. "Any means necessary. This sentence doesn't go out to the public. Not until we decree it."

Amrita nods and is about to leave when Mamaji calls her again. Even as she's looking at him, she can see all the rest of the family looking at her too.

"Any means necessary, Amrita."

With a nod and a cough, she leaves the room.

The statement that the doctor gives is written by Yash. It's diplomatic and ambiguous in the same breath, but it holds the truth.

Mamaji has an amused sort of look on his face that Amrita can relate to, when Veerendra escapes the viewing room with some of his own bootlickers and starts to organise a meeting to keep control in their hands.

Behind Veerendra, Amrita makes eye contact with Prithvi, who has a shrewd sort of look as he answers a call, unceremoniously loud. He's stopping another meeting.

Mamaji talks to a doctor and Amrita calls her best TV news source as she buys some bottles of water and goes to the family in the viewing room.

"You cannot publish that sentence, because it was never spoken," she tells Archie.

Archi laughs. "Do you think I'm too dumb or you think you're too smart, Amrita? I have a source. From your party."

Samar's eyes snap to her the first thing as she enters the room. She continues her call. "And I have proof that your source is a greedy—" she swallows the curses on her lips as she looks at the elders. "Your source is only greedy for attention and revenge. I have proof. What do you want, a fake sentence that will create havoc or dirt on a real future candidate?"

She passes a water bottle to Prithvi and another to Chandra uncle and Indu. She gestures to them to drink and turns, starting to leave.

"How credible is your proof?" Archie asks.

She doesn't even regret ruining the poor bastard's career. "Faked government documents and a photo. Credible enough for your monthly salary to see an increment. Stop your minions with that sentence and I'll email you the proof right now."

Absently, Amrita accepts a water bottle from Prithvi. "If it's fake, why are you worried about it?" Archie asks.

Archie's question makes her pause as she stares at the bloodied cotton the doctors put in a utensil she can't name. She swipes her tongue across her canines. "Because then it'll bring your credibility into question. We don't want that, darling. Do we?"

She looks down at her hand that's holding the bottle. It's starting to squeeze the neck of the bottle too tightly. She quietly hands it back to Prithvi.

"Are you threatening me?" Archie asks, amused.

Amrita turns and starts to leave the room. "No. I'm giving you a chance of growth in your career."

When Bhanu uncle calls everyone in his room for a meeting moment, Amrita calls Dev to check on him.

"When will you be home?" He asks her.

She looks inside the room through the glass windows and sees the arrogant high of Prithvi's shoulders and the instant dropping of Chandra uncle's shoulders and the crumbling of Veerendra Bhai's posture.

"I'll try to be back as soon as possible. If nothing, I'll be there to pick you up from college tomorrow. I'll take you out for an ice cream to make up for this." She says. She can't become the same distant parent that her father is. She can't. She can't. She's not going to be an absentee in the life of her brother.

"Yes, please. Blueberry ice cream from that local stall near my college. It's awesome, we went there on Vaishali's birthday." Dev yawns loudly. "Should I go to sleep?"

Amrita smiles. "Haa, pagal. I have a copy of the keys to the house. If I'm there before morning, I'll let myself in. Good night, see you tomorrow."

"Good night and take care of yourself too."

He hangs up before she can tease him over worrying for her.

She sees a message flash on her phone as she goes to put it back in her purse.

Father: in Ioannia, Greece.

Father: don't get involved in dirty politics. Dev depends on you.

She leaves him on read.

As people file out of the room, she shares a look with Bharti aunty. People around them begin to cheer for Prithvi and seeing a moment's reprieve, Amrita goes to send in a corner, near the door of Bhanu uncle's room.

Mamaji leads a hysterical Veerendra out of the door. Amrita instantly grabs another bottle of water and follows the two of them.

"Mamaji, he always listens to you, you talk to him, please, this isn't the right decision—" Veerendra Bhai is saying.

Amrita clears her throat and he instantly straightens up. "Veerendra Bhai." She hands him the bottle of water. "Here, for you."

But he isn't looking at her. He's looking at something above her head, face set into stone. Amrita has a feeling that he's staring at Prithvi, who has yet to make his bootlickers stop cheering in a hospital.

She forcefully pushes the bottle into Veerendra's hand and goes to the crowd, clapping her hands twice to get attention. "That's enough hollering in a hospital! The situation here is precarious and the hospital has patients other than Bhanu Sir. Let's not trouble the public! Calm down!"

Prithvi gives her a questioning look but also starts to calm down the bootlickers around him.

When they finally leave the hospital, Bharti aunty goes home with Mamaji while Samar comes with Prithvi and his crew— which, unfortunately, includes Amrita.

Amrita is relocated to sitting in the backseat with Prithvi because he insists on being difficult and stretching out and Samar despises unnecessary physical touch.

(There's some relief she feels when she realises that some things about him have stayed the same as five years ago. She knows him, even a little.)

While Samar attends a call of his own, Amrita gets a call from an unknown number, on her private phone.

"Amrita Arya." She answers the phone suspiciously. It's well past 1 am, she's not sure who could be calling her right now but she also can't just ignore the call, in case of any emergency.

The voice she hears back is familiar. "Amrita."

Amrita closes her eyes and leans back, suddenly tired of all the bullshit happening in a single day. "Mayur. I'm going to give you one minute to explain yourself before I block this cell too."

"I saw the news," he says cockily. "Your party is in shambles and I wanted to offer you a job."

Amrita waits for him to continue, but when he doesn't, she sighs dramatically. "First of all, it's not my party to look after. And secondly, I already have a job."

"This is only the beginning, Amrita," he says,"Bhanu Pratap is that tree whose roots are widespread. The tree falling down will cause ground to break."

Amrita hangs up and puts him in her blocklist.

"Who was it?" Prithvi asks, too nonchalant.

Amrita doesn't look at him as she answers. "My ex. He wanted to offer me a job opportunity since apparently our party is in danger right now."

Prithvi raises his eyebrows at the audacity but ends up chuckling. He teases her,"Which opportunity would let you have the power you do right now? Personal assistant to the party secretary of the Rashtrawadi party. You own power."

Amrita doesn't reply as she gets comfortable in her seat. She doesn't need his job to be powerful. She's got enough connections on her own. She's working here because she finds it amusing and challenging.

When they reach her home, the only light on is on the front porch, illuminating the bougainville creeper on the pillar on the porch. Amrita walks out of the car after wishing a general goodnight, not wanting to interact with Samar at all.

She's barely passes the car when she hears soft footsteps behind her. She doesn't look back and tightens her hold on her pallu, making the saree tighten around her shoulders. She knows his footsteps.

Samar is taller than her and he comes to walk beside her in two long strides. Amrita doesn't look at him.

"Thank you, for everything you did today." He says, still soft spoken. He appears shaken by the day.

Amrita feels a pang of pity for him. He's always had a sheltered life. He's never had to lose someone. Samar makes others lose himself, but he's never lost someone.

(Why would someone leave him? Her heart sings, even five years later. She wants to embrace the broken stars in his eyes.)

"I will always stand beside your family," she tells him, smiling slightly. "Don't worry about anything, everything will fall into its own place."

Samar sighs heavily as they stop at her porch. "I have a bad feeling, Amu."

The nickname makes her want to melt. She gathers herself in the moments that he looks down at his shoes vulnerably.

"We're both here. We'll make sure everything turns out well." She tells him. For the first time in five years, Amrita forwards her hand and brushes the tips of her fingers on his shoulder for a second. "Good night."

THE END IS ONLY THE BEGINNING - PLOT DROP

Breaking News... the Catalyst is no more. Lorelai Cavanaugh, the previous Clan Advisor, had been tormenting Lunar Cove for the past two years, determined to make the town who scorned her pay for all they had done. She claimed to be the bringer of change, but now she is dead, having been killed by Rangi Hira. A weight has seemingly been lifted over the Lunar Covians heads, but as they make their way out of the Rec Center, the morning rays breaking over the tops of the buildings Downtown, a bleakness can still be felt in the air. A handful of residents have been rushed to the Hospital, while authorities searched missing residents, Meena Surya-Raja and Dhruv Mehta, places. Both were notable broken into with signs of a struggle. The daylight ring Meena was known to never go anywhere without was found laying among a pile of smashed glass at the Moore Estate, while there was a set of two footprints outside of Dhruv's place that appear as though someone was being dragged across the street. Skid marks from a vehicle point to how the werewolf had likely been shoved into the back of a van that drove off. Though the trail seemed to run cold after that. The Sheriff's department has reason to believe both Meena and Dhruv were taken, but if not from the Catalyst, then who?

A search party has been sent out to scour the town and the surrounding areas in an attempt to locate the missing residents and the Town Hall is looking for volunteers. As many already know, the first 48 hours are critical in finding the missing parties and returning them safety back home. So, if you or any one you know has any potential leads, please phone them in and join the search to bring your missing back home.

Note: This recap includes all of the instructions/plot drop posts from the group chat. So, in case you are just looking to see who hurt who or remind yourself of a detail, we've highlighted all of the character addition key take aways in purple.

PART 1: THE SCAVENGER HUNT

The Lunar Covians entered the Fun House, interacting with performers, trying their way through the Hall of Mirrors, slipping down slides and, all in all, seeming happy and unaware of what is to come. When in reality, every supernatural and human alike is entering armed (though, OOC, no guns tw please) and ready, on the lookout for any suspicious figures moving through the crowd. Only two residents who had been expected in attendance are no where to be found.

The Mayor and Clan Leader, Meena Surya-Raja, was supposed to be guarding the far exit of the Rec Center. But, with no one being able to spot her or reach her, Aaliyah Rose & Rio Tavárez, stood guard in Meena’s stead. Other exits are guarded by the perspective leaders and their advisors. Though, fellow pack member, Dhruv Mehta, had volunteered to guard the front entrance with Ben Anak Bandi and was a no show as well.

As the last of the performers were ushered inside, Ben glanced back to see a flicker of familiar brown hair passing by the front doors of the Rec Center. But, before the Human Coalition Leader could charge forward or alert anyone else of what appears to be Hande, the doors to the Rec Center magically slammed shut. Ben caught one more glimpse of what seems to be hooded figures chanting as they surround the building, as his head became overwhelmed by a splitting head ache. He fell to his knees. The air was seemingly thinner with each passing breath and he found it harder and harder to breath. The coughing fits began and, one by one, people seemed to follow suit, passing out in the same way Ben had. A cackle of a laugh was heard over the loud speaker as the entire room fell unconscious. The Lunar Covians heard the words, “You thought you were all so clever. Didn’t you?” before they passed out.

One by one the Lunar Covians slowly started to wake up. They still felt light headed and off. The air they all were breathing still seems thin and has a distinct aroma of apple. They tried the doors, but they were locked and magically sealed. There was no way to get out. The supernaturals in the room tried their abilities, but realized none of them seem to be working. The vampires or werewolves didn't have their super strength or speed. They would be unable to turn. Vampires would be unable to siphon. The witches didn't have any of their abilities. Neither do the Fae. If a siren was to get wet, they would not shift. They all quickly realized they were powerless and, for the time being, were as close to being mortal as could be. Whatever the apple aroma was, it was blocking their abilities.

The florescent lights flickered completely back on and everyone's screens started to light up one by one (phone,apple watches etc.) all playing the same video. Lorelai Cavanuagh was seen saying, "You think you can stop me? Think again. You all stand around on your high horses pretending to be so high and mighty, turning a blind eye to all of the injustice your town has inflicted upon myself and others. It doesn't matter who leads you. You are all the same. You've shown me your selfishness time and time again. You're all guilty and now you all will pay. Once and for all, there will be a reckoning. I have taken eleven of your own. But, rather than see them squirm, let's play a game. This game should seem familiar to you. In order to save both their lives and yours, you must play along with the scavenger hunt I've set up. Solve all of the clues and you will uncover the locations to all of the taken. But, there is a catch. This time, you will only be able to save five of the eleven. You all are more than willing to bargain one life over another. So, who will it be? Whose life means more to you?"

RIDDLE #1: AYSUN & NOELIA

"By day they walk, just like you, But when night falls, they change to something new. One so timid and stunning as the moon, Arrived in town to be taken so soon. While the other, bold, beautiful and all too brazen, Will learn the hard way how easy it is to be taken. They’ve sealed their fate with a glossy sheen. I’ll polish them up, regardless of their screams. Their teeth won’t be the only thing that gleams, Without me, the shine’s just a dream. Which two Lunar Covians do I have in my grasp? And where, oh where, do I have them stashed"

You all collectively discovered that Aysun Demir & Noel Delaney Lopez had been kidnapped and were being held in at Top Coat. But, you could only save one.

You chose to save Noel. Though, some such as Jake Sullivan, didn't want to partake, resulting in more of the kidnapped from being hurt.

You then discover that you must elect only one of you to save them and no individual could be elected/nominated twice. This means whoever saved Noel would be unable to save anyone else.

Jasmine Castillo went in to save Noel.

They enter Top Coat only to discovered they were not alone. They saw Noel strapped down with silver cuffs to a pedicure chair in a circle of mountain ash. Noel's claws had already been declawed (SEE FULL LIST OF INJURIES ABOVE). They realize Alyssa Reed is with them, back from the dead.

The Catalyst has brought some of those who died in Lunar Cove back from the dead to guard the kidnapped. The dead knew that if they manage to defeat/kill the one who tried to rescue the kidnapped, they could live on in their stead.

RECAP OF THE SAVE: Jas (violence, gore, eye gore, drowning, fire, burning, burns tw) chucked a knife at Alyssa which penetrated Alyssa's eye. While Alyssa was distraught, Jas took the other knife Billie had given to her and stabbed it through Alyssa's hand. Noel, still strapped down, tried to trip Alyssa from the pedicure chair as Aylssa squirted Jasmine with water and used her telekinesis to attack her, flinging Jas back against a wall. Noel, seeing her sibling flung backward, bite Alyssa's hand. Jas, picking herself up off the ground, grabbed Alyssa by her hair and slammed her head against the table before working to free Noel from their restraints. Noel, now free, tried to bite and scratch at Alyssa to get her away from their sister, while Jasmine tried to drown Alyssa in the pedicure tub. Alyssa sprayed both of them with water to get them off of her, only for Noel to pour nail polish remover on Alyssa before setting her face aflame. Jas slit Alyssa's ankles to stop her from coming after them before grabbing her sibling's hand. The two ran back to the Rec Center screaming for the doors to shut behind them. Alyssa dies again, only to regenerate, now severely pissed off.

RIDDLE #2: RALPH & SAFIYE

They thrive at night, avoiding the sun, With fangs that gleam when the day is done. One has a leather jacket and hair slicked back, But, they’ve always struggled to find their knack. While the other’s taste is hardly fussy, Though they prefer to rip into that of bunnies. You will find them both in silent rows beneath the sky, Where names are carved, and loved ones lie. Which two Lunar Covians do I have in my grasp? And where, oh where, do I have them stashed?

You have collectively discovered that Ralph Middlemas & Safiye Yildiz have been kidnapped and are being held in at the Cemetery.

You elect to save Ralph & Ernie Jackson goes in to save them.

They entered the Cemetery only to discover they were not alone. They see Mason Mahir, standing solemnly over a grave. They realized that Ralph has been buried alive in a wooden coffin, bound in ropes soaked in vervain. They have been drained off some of their blood and are now starving. Unlike with Alyssa, Mason was there to help Ernie dig Ralph out.

RECAP OF THE SAVE: (Self Harm, Gore, tw) Ernie started to dig Ralph out with his bare hands. Mason and Ernie finally managed to free Ralph only for a delirious Ralph, to cling onto Mason and beg for them to return to the Rec Center with them. Ralph is starving, but refuses to bite either of them. Mason tells Ralph they have to go save Rangi as Ernie drags Ralph away. Ralph stumbles into the Rec Center starving. He is desperate to feed, but his fangs aren't working with all the powers going out, so Song Seo-Joon slits his wrist so that Ralph can feed from him. Ralph is then cradled in Ernie's arms. Ernie, in his lion costume, grabs a table cloth and wraps Ralph in it as he tries to comfort the other.

RIDDLE #3: RANGI & NYRA

With a voice that chills and a wail so deep, One foretells doom and disturbs your sleep. While the other, with a name that rivals moonlight, And a voice sickeningly sweet, put up quite the fight, Before eventually giving into the ride. Strapped in for their end, there's nowhere to hide. They’ll twist and turn, they’ll rise and fall, With the force of peer pressure, you’ll hear the call. Which two Lunar Covians do I have in my grasp? And where, oh where, do I have them stashed?

You have collectively discovered Rangi Hira & Nyra Odeyer have been kidnapped and are being held in at Pier Pressure on a Rollercoaster.

You elect to save Rangi & Kitty Hensley goes in to save them.

They entered Pier Pressure only to discover they were not alone. They saw Rangi strapped down with iron cuffs to their seat on the Plunge of Doom, a corkscrew rollercoaster that was going a hundred miles an hour round and round. Only as they took a step towards Rangi, they realized Kyle Kane was with them, back from the dead. It's 50/50 whether Kyle would attack them or help you given his newfound hatred of the Catalyst, but either way, the rollercoaster was speeding towards the end of the tracks that had been broken off. If they didn't save the fae in time, Rangi would plummet to their doom and die.

RECAP OF THE SAVE: (violence tw, gore tw) Kitty attempted to appear to Kyle's hatred of the Catalyst which failed. Kyle, with a fire axe and telekinesis, chased after Kitty like and, I quote, "Hereeee's Johnnyyy". Kitty attempted to woo and compliment Kyle, but he could not be reasoned with. He stalked Kitty through the pier. Kyle was unhinged, angry and shouting, chopping at anything in his path and throwing shit around with his mind. He wasn't focused enough for animal control, but he starts to yell out things like "I can see how scared your aura is". Kitty manages to get above him, doing a flying leap before wolverine stabbing him with her claws. As Suresh suggested, she goes for his ankles as well. She manages to incapacitate Kyle by clawing him in the gut, before stopping the rollercoaster in time to save Rangi. Only, Rangi was kicking and screaming, yelling how they needed to save Nyra. Kyle regenerated and finally managed to scare up a flock of seagulls (evolving from birds to rats, as I quote, "birds are the rats of the sky"). Kitty finally managed to calm Rangi down by letting Rangi know that Mason is alive, Yoinking Rangi over her shoulder, Kitty sprinted away from Kyle as he started to once again regenerate from her wolverine claw stabs.

BACK AT THE REC CENTER: Cat gets in a huge fight with Rio, Poppy and other residents for wanting to drink and get drunk amongst the chaos of it all.

RIDDLE #4: DEVRIM & WENDY

"With a head full of wonder and tales to share, One has guided a lost boy before with love and care. While the other, silent and swift, is hard to define, With floss and tools, they fix and define. They can be found in a glass house, where colors blend, Fish swim and play, their movements transcend. In tricky boxes are where they’re held, Where breath is short and fears begin to swell. A magician's test of nerves and might, Locked underwater is their plight. **Which two Lunar Covians do I have in my grasp? And where, oh where, do I have them stashed?"

You have collectively discovered Devrim Selvi & Wendy Savika had been kidnapped and were being held in at the Aquarium trapped in escape boxes that were filling up with water.

You elect to save Devrim & Song Seo-Joon goes in to save them.

They entered the Aquarium only to discover they are not alone. They saw Devrim trapped in a glass escape box in the middle of the aquarium. The tank was filling up with water and they were almost out of air. Only, they realize Alyssa Reed is with them, having traveled from Top Coat to the Aquarium to try her luck again at having another chance at life.

RECAP OF SAVE: (Violence, Gore, Drowning tw) Song slips through the back of the Aquarium using the key Jonah gave him. He wanders into the main lobby where Devrim is being held, swinging both of his swords (having dressed up as a sword swallower with real blades to begin with). Alyssa tries to drown him, using water from the nearby fish tanks to begin to flood the room, blasting water Song's way. Only for Song to stab her, slashing her twice with his blade. While, Alyssa was distracted, Song stabs the glass of the magician escape box Devrim was being held in, freeing Devrim. Devrim spilled out onto the ground, not being able to walk from having one of his legs broken and the other one injured (he took an arrow to his knee thanks to the residents hesitancy when solving the riddles). Alyssa stole one of Song's swords and slashed at Song's leg. Song lunged, in turn, on top of her, grabbed her by her hair and repeatedly banged her head against the ground until she blacked out. Before she could regenerate, he flung Devrim onto his back and, haphazardly, carried him out. When they both re-entered the Rec Center, they collapsed onto the ground. Devrim was rushed to the Hospital, while Song refused to let anyone treat him, choosing to stitch up his leg with a first aid kit himself.

RIDDLE #5: LINDEN & AMRITA

The first shares the same start as another, but not the same face, In looks and in manner, however, they take up the same space. No words are spoken, yet thoughts are clear, They know your mind when you're nowhere near. While the second, too, has a sibling whose path they have not shared. They twist spells and curses with a malevolent flair. Both can be found in a quiet field that echos along. Their voices muffled by nature’s song. With ragged clothes and arms stretched tight, They’ll stand silent and still, guarding the rows through the night. Which two Lunar Covians do I have in my grasp? And where, oh where, do I have them stashed?

You have collectively discovered Linden Reed & Amrita Singh have been kidnapped and were being held in at the Holloway Farm.

You elect to save Amrita & Rohan Persaud goes in to save them.

At the Rec Center: Nico voted to save Amrita and not to save his own brother-in-law which caused a fight with his family to ensue

They enter the Holloway Farm only to discover they were not alone. They were standing in a field surrounded by fifty scarecrows. One of them is Amrita, though they have been gaged with lobelia flower underneath the Scarecrow mask and are bound to their post. Strung up in the cornfield, Rohan had to guess which one was Amrita. They realize Kyle Kane is with them, back from the dead. The cornfield has been set aflame, so if Rohan didn't discover which masked scarecrow is Amrita, the two of you would burn in the process.

RECAP OF SAVE: Rohan went in to save his sister Amrita with the Molotov cocktail Nico had prepared for him. Rohan ran through the field, squeezing each scarecrow's leg as he moved past, looking for solid weight beneath the hay. Kyle chased him around the field with an axe in hand, though Kyle was demolishing scarecrows that were no Amrita in the process. Amrita was sobbing beneath the mask as her body was severely burned. Rohan finally finds Amrita who is disoriented. She stumbles a lot, but holds onto Rohan and pushes him forward so that he'd get out first. She grabs a lose rock to hit Kyle with if he comes at her once more. Kyle blocks their exit. He made a go for Amrita over Rohan given that she was smaller, only for Rohan to dive into a monologue, ""I HELPED you, Kyle Kane. I took pity on you. I was a nice guy trying to be kind to a lost young witch. You could have been saved. We all could have. But you know who ELSE you killed the day you killed Poppy Reed? The day you destroyed my theater? The day you made me DECIDE to spill blood? The guy I used to be", before he impaled Kyle with a pitch fork. Amrita shoved the lobelia flower into Kyle's mouth once Rohan had him pinned down to the ground with the pitchfork. By the time they were both back to the Rec Center, Amrita was quickly rushed off to the hospital.

You have managed to rescue all five captives, but there are still more Lunar Covians who are missing. The screens in the room all remain black. No further instructions from Lorelai Cavanaugh have been given. The doors to the Rec Center remain locked for now...

PART 2: THE DREAMSCAPE

The apple aroma in the air that has clearly been poisoning you all in the room, blocking your use of magic and ability to shift, grew faint before the smell entirely vanished. It's up to you whether your character noticed the smell being gone, but if they did, they may start to realize that their ability to use their magic will start to return. Though, your magic capabilities have been weakened. Wolves will be able to shift again, though they won't be as nearly as fast or as strong and the shift will be more painful than normal. Vampires strength and speed will return though they will hardly be as fast or strong as they once were along with their ability to siphon. Witches will regain their inherent abilities though their magic will flicker in and out and their spells will be at half the strength they normally would. Fae's magic will return as well, but their wings will feel weak, sirens will struggle to turn if they are to get wet, and then abilities will be at half the strength they normally would etc.

Poppy Reed & Billie Fitz had been tormented by nightmares for weeks now. They'd hardly gotten any sleep and as everyone is making a note of their returned abilities, they are struggling to keep their eyes closed. The moment their eyes fluttered shut for a sliver of a second, they snap wide open once more, only this time their pupils are black. The pair, without another word, walk off from the group, making a beeline for the door. There was nothing stopping the pair from leaving the building. For those that got in their way, they used their skills and abilities to move you/take you down. It is as if they have been inexplicably possessed and you are a means to an end in their way.

ATTEMPT TO HOLD BILLIE BACK: Noel made a grab for Billie. Aspen also stepped up in an attempt to help Noel, noticing that they were injured. Only, as soon as Noel touched Billie, Billie immediately grabbed their hand and twisted it as if threatening to break Noel's wrist if Noel persisted. Bex tried to plea with Billie to snap out of it. Ken also tried to stop Billie from leaving, resulting in Billie stabbing him in his gut.

ATTEMPT TO HOLD POPPY BACK: Meanwhile, Cat made a grab for Poppy. Poppy scowled and without a second though tossed Cat back using her telekinesis. Cat flung backward and would've gone through a table, but luckily was able to use her intangibility long enough to phase through it. But, her ability flickered out, slamming her into the ground instead. Jake teleported before Poppy, locking her in his arms in an attempt to teleport her away from whatever was controlling her. Cat rushed back to her feet trying to help Jake, but it was too late. Rather than stick around, Poppy used all her will to burn Jake's arms as hard as she could. Altan stepped forward, using his water magic to dim the flames and put out the fire on Jake's arms. He tried to reason with Poppy and broke through to her for a split second, before she fell back under and sent screams into his head using audible induction.

TO THE PENDULUM:

As Poppy Reed & Billie Fitz reached the doors to the Rec Center, they fly open, as if on cue, to allow them to leave. Poppy continued walking across the Town Green, while Billie guards her, seemingly falling into hunter mode as they head across through the streets toward the Pendulum Theater. Billie and Poppy would attack anyone who tried to stop the them from reaching the Pendulum. But, before anyone could go after them, their screens light up once more.

A message, this time from Hande- "Greetings the Greedy. The Catalyst is tired of watching you place one another's lives above your own. You are not the righteous here. You are the sinners. You waste your precious time day in and day out, wandering around with smiles plastered across your faces brushing off those you hurt along the way. Pretending as though you are the victims despite the families whose lives you have displaced. Despite those who have died so that you could live. Despite those you've walked over to get to where you are. But, now, it is time to meet your reckoning. The Safe Haven that you'd do anything to protect ends now. You have twenty-four hours before the lives you have built here will come to an end. Since you agreed to play the game, the Catalyst has chosen to spare you. You picked which five would live and now you all are free to go. Collect your things and evacuate before the town that you know it collapses into rubble or stay and enjoy your last day in this piece of hell you call home. The choice is yours, but if you try to stop us, you will fail. Those you did not chose to save are being heavily guarded at the Pendulum by ghosts who have returned from the dead knowing that if they kill you, they will get their lives back, a hunter whose been passing themselves off as one of you and yours truly. The six captives- one werewolf, one vampire, one faerie, one witch, one human and one of your leaders - are trapped in a nightmare hellscape. If you were to kill the Catalyst before the spell is finished being performed, their lives will be lost. They will remain alive, but their minds will be lost forever, trapped in an endless nightmare. Not to mention, If you even attempt to get close to them, it will be me, the hunter and those spirits I mentioned before who will take you out before you have a chance. You'll be fighting a losing battle. We have your supreme. We have her grimoire. We have the only book that can be used to reverse the spell. It's over. This is the end and your only warning to go before it's too late."

EXTRAS: A number of residents like Haru take this as an opportunity to run back home/be with their pets & loved ones rather than stay and fight.

ENTER THE PENDULUM:

You enter the Pendulum Theater, fight off vicious ghosts (NPCs), Billie Fitz, and Hande so that you can get the fae close enough to the sacrifice to enter the unconscious' nightmare. The fae needed to wake the unconscious up first, before you will be able to kill the Catalyst once and for all. For those of you who were here during our Ren Faire event, you'll already know the drill. But, for those who weren't, those in the nightmare were witnessing all of their love ones dying around them. They needed to face their fears and let their loved ones go, rather than try to hang onto them to wake up. The fae could enter their connected dream and let them know they are trapped in a nightmare. But, when inside the nightmare, given that their magic was weakened, they were unable to manipulate or stop the nightmare themselves. They were only able to guide and help those trapped to wake up themselves. Also, if a fae died in the dreamscape, they'll die in real life. Likewise, if they got hurt in the dreamscape, given this particular dark magic spell, they would get hurt in real life.

If a fae entered the dreamscape, their own body would be unconscious on the ground. So, the non-fae would not only need to fight off the ghosts and hunters, but also keep the fae safe as they rescued your kidnapped friends. After everyone in the dreamscape is woken up, you can kill the Catalyst.

IN THE DREAMSCAPE:

For the characters trapped in a dream, your characters were all kidnapped by the Catalyst within the Fun House. Only when your fellow residents had the choice to save you (at least for everyone, but Ben), they chose someone else's life instead. Your characters were injured in return (see injured above). Your characters now find themselves trapped in a nightmare. They stood in Lunar Cove. Only the buildings were turned to rubble. The town, as you knew it, was destroyed and laying in piles all around you, were the bodies of your loved ones. It doesn't matter if your loved one may have already been dead (i.e. Mason, a departed relative etc.). For you, their body laid among the rest of the Lunar Cove residents lifeless. Only the six of you were still alive with the knowledge that if you can bring one person you love back from the dead, if and only if, you kill one of the other six around you so that they can take their place.

DREAMSCAPE: (Suicide, murder, violence, gore tw) Safiye woke up first, desperate to try to wake dream Leyla. Ben awoke second and also tried to desperately wake dream Bri. Wendy breaks at the sight of a boy named Toby and a number of Lunar Covians she cares about. Aysun is stunned at the sight of her mother dead. Safiye pulls a knife from the rubble to stab Ben with to bring Leyla back, while Wendy fishes out a silver lighter from Toby's pocket, about to set a fire to burn herself up in. Nyra offers to regenerate so someone could take her life instead. Aysun meanwhile weeps clutching her mother's lifeless body. Leyla goes into the dreamscape to free the trapped residents. Appearing before them, she stops Safiye from trying to kill Ben. She informs them that they are in a dream and lets them know that they need to wake up fast, especially Ben. She has to be the one to break the news to Ben as to what he is returning to. Safiye doesn't initially believe Leyla, so Leyla starts listening out secrets about Safiye to prove it to her. Suresh joins Leyla in the dreamscape in an attempt to help those get out, referring to himself as the Sandman and being offended at the depiction of dream him. Wendy is the first to accept that Toby is dead, face her fear and move on. She makes it out of the dreamscape. Safiye escapes next. Then Ben. Kui enters the dreamscape as Suresh and Leyla wake up, trying to help the others out. Asyun wakes up with Kui's help, before Rangi enters the dreamscape to help Linden leave and Nyra. They finally manage to free everyone from the dreamscape. Meanwhile back at the Pendulum...

BACK AT THE PENDULUM

WHILE THEY ARE TRYING TO FREE THOSE STUCK IN THE DREAMSCAPE:

Bri lets out a shattering scream rushing to Ben's body. While screaming bloody murder, she begs for someone to help her with tears in her eyes. Jake joins Bri's side, trying to stop Ben from bleeding out with the help of Altan & Nico. Altan does his best to wrap the wound with Nico overseeing it.

Meanwhile, Hande flings a knife at Leyla as soon as Leyla enters the room before making a beeline for Dilan. Dilan tries to tackle Hande to the ground. Hande takes to the sky, hovering above Dilan's head mocking her. Dilan takes to the sky, grabbing Hande by the hair. Hande grabs a chunk of Dilan's hair in return, flinging herself backward so now they're both in the air upside down. With two fists of Dilan's hair, Hande slams her head as hard as possible against Dilan's. Dilan stabs Hande before drooping the knife she'd been holding onto the ground. With full force she digs her nails across Hande's face as she tried to pull them both back down to the ground. Hande spits out the blood tw that had been building inside her mouth onto Dilan's face. Flashing her sister a toothy smile, she stabs Dilan in the chest before dropping Dilan from the sky. Ken runs to Dilan's side, flinging a knife up that nicks Hande from where she is in the sky. Hande flies up with Ken in the air before dropping him from a high height. Pulling the knife out of her chest, Dilan flies up once more with the knife toward Hande, stabbing Hande in the back and dragging it down. Slamming her head backward, it collides with Dilan's again. Hande yanks the blade out of her back and stabs Dilan in the tit with it, before flying off in the direction of Saleem.

Bexley runs after Billie (admitting to herself that she loves Billie, but not out loud), while Jas stops Billie momentarily in her tracks by muttering a spell under her breath and (self harm tw) inflicting pain on herself to cause splitting pain in Billie's head.

Leyla & Suresh enter the Dreamscape. Nico watches over Leyla's body and Kui watches over Suresh's.

Saleem meanwhile is fighting off ghosts in hand-to-hand combat. He has his cane which switches out to a sword edge and uses it to gain the upper hand.

Alyssa limps into the room with her face still burned and big gashes in her. She stabs Jasmine who is closest to her. Jasmine heels over from the stab wound, only to teleport using dark magic away from where she had been distracting Billie to deal with Lori. Alyssa starts squirting people with mater making the floor wet.

Kyle, toting the pitchfork he had pried from his own torso, he marched toward the circle. He brought up a hand to rattle one of the catwalks overhead with his telekinetic abilities, sending a stage light toppling into the aisle with an electric burst. He aims his palm at Mason and sends a surge of telekinetic energy in their direction. Mason shakes the ground under Kyle's feet to knock him off balance. Kyle stumbles before charging toward Kitty with the pitchfork.

Rangi escapes from the hospital in search of Mason. She tells Mason and Kitty to cover their ears before she lets out a loud banshee scream that shakes the entire theater.

Three ghosts inclose upon Kui who brandishes a shoe in each hand in an attempt to fight back.

Kyle falls backward, letting out a cry at Rangi's scream. A hand came up to rattle the catwalk once more and send another light toppling to the ground with a crash. Crawling to safety, he hooked his fingers around an air vent and tugged it open, allowing a cloud of buzzing wasps to begin to emerge from the hive he knew was hidden there.

Lorelai pats Poppy on the head. Altan tries to get Poppy to snap out of the spell with the help of Jake and Cat. Alyssa notices Altan trying to talk Poppy out of it. Rather than let him walk away, she holds a knife to his throat. Jake knocks Alyssa upside the back of her head as hard as he could with a fire extinguisher he found. Alyssa is out cold. Altan tries to plea with Poppy once more who burns his hand. Elif, in wolf form, lunged forward, grabbing onto Poppy's pant leg, she begins to tug as hard as she could.

Jasmine shoves Lori back with a blast of air. Lori uses shields to stop the attacks. She sends a shadow dagger Jas' way that cuts deep across her cheek. Jas curses Lori so that Lori will be unable to heal their own wounds. Jas inflicts another cut across her wrist to send searing pain through Lori's skull. Lori constructs another shield, this time around Jasmine and begins to shrink it around her. Jasmine sucks the air out from Lori's lungs watching her choke. Lori mutters out a sleep hex to knock Jasmine out before all the air is taken from her lungs.

Cat & Aspen team up in search of Poppy's grimoire. Bille goes after both of them. Cat tries to rip herself from Billie's grasp. She throws her head back, smashing the back of her head into Billie's face. Billie's nose is broken. Aspen catches the toe of Billie's foot in her knee. She trips forwards, she wedges herself in-between Cat and Billie, though Billie gets her in the jaw. Aspen shifts. Billie's head rammed into Cat's jaw, causing her to cuss and stumble into Aspen. Cat launches herself at Billie. Billie shoves Bex out of the way, before stabbing Cat in the stomach. Bexley grips onto Billie's blade as Billie wields it. It cuts into Bexley's palm. Aspen shifts back into human form after clawing and scratching. She backhands Billie with werewolf strength across the head to knock her out (while being buttnaked).

Ken asks Nico to let him siphon him so he can fight Hande. Nico agrees in trade for some vampire blood to heal Ben with. Ken siphons Nico before he teleports to where Hande flew away to, trying to stab her only to miss. Hande setting her eyes on Saleem, grabs the second dagger she had tucked away and makes a lunge at him. He presses the blunt edge of his cane against her arm in an attempt to hold her. Hande makes Saleem feel affection for her before she stabs at him again. He stabs Hande in return with his cane. Hande lunges at him holding a blade to Saleem's throat. Saleem distracts Hande to give Ken an opening. Ken drags Hande off of Saleem. Ken stabs Hande and Hande stabs Ken back.

Kyle sends wasps Bri's and Mason's way, before trying to plea his case for Todd to join him. Todd pops Kyle in the nose. Rangi chases Kyle through the crowd, tackling him to the ground. They wrestle on the ground. Kyle flings Rangi off of him with the full force of his mind and magic. Her body hit something hard and she crashed to the ground. Blood dripped from her nose, but as she sat up, she was laughing, finding Kyle back through the crowd. He would suffer any injury she did, after all.

Bri lets out a scream as she and Ben are swarmed with wasps. She asks Ronnie to watch Ben, before she can't maintain her control any longer. The feral vampire charges at Lori at full force.

Taking advantage of the distraction Jasmine caused, Bri dives forward and sinks her teeth into Lori's leg. The vampire tears into Lori's leg with her teeth, until she had cut through enough of it that she could use as much super strength as she had to break off the rest of Lori's leg as payback for taking Ben's. Lori taunts Bri. Bri tries to claw out Lori's eyes. Lori puts up a shield to protect herself calling Bri a feral little monster.

Nico's eyes find Jasmine's crumbled form on the ground, crying out for help.

Dilan is bleeding out upon the ground. Ken offers some blood to Dilan to heal her a bit (and by offer, he sort of just shoved his hand at Dilan's face).

Alyssa wakes back up with a tw hole in her head. She wobbles as she takes the knife. Walking behind Jake, she stabs him roughly. Jake tackles Alyssa onto the ground and ties her up in the playhouse curtains so she can't stab him again. Jake then gets shirtless.

Poppy sends more voices into Altan's head since Altan can't catch a break apparently.

Bri charges at Kyle at full speed. The feral vampire biting his throat and beginning to feed from him. Kyle punches Bri in the jaw. But, when Ben starts to wake up, Bri snaps out of it and rushes to Ben's side. Kyle tries to drop a stage light down upon them, but Bri moves Ben in the knick of time before it comes crashing down. Mason comes to their side to try to heal Ben. Kyle tries to swarm them with wasps again.

Rohan uses dark magic to knock Kyle off his feet by swiping at the shadows under his legs. Elif sinks her teeth into Kyle's ankle, turning him, as she begins to drag him back and forth with all of her might. Kyle grabs onto a burning hot metal shard of a fallen lamb and swats at Elif will it, cutting the wolf's cheek.

Ripper Safiye wakes up on the hunt for blood. Saf licks Ben's blood off the floor before moving toward Ben. Bri shoves Safiye back before snapping Safiye's neck to knock her out and stop her from eating anyone.

Kui enters the dreamscape, giving Wendy their stilettos and asking Wendy to watch over them. Meanwhile, Suresh tries to swat away a ghost. Efe armed with an extinguisher, puts out little fires everywhere, asking if anyone needs medical attention and trying to get people to safety. Rangi enters the dreamscape too. Ralph is slumped in a chair near the back of the playhouse still dying from being kidnapped and injected with vervain.

Poppy flings Altan against a wall with Telekinesis cause the poor guy hasn't been through enough.

Dilan charges at Hande once more, stabbing her in the chest. Hande presses her fingers deep in the wound she already caused Dilan. Hande stabs Dilan in the leg and drags the blade up across Dilan's upper thigh, tearing into her skin. Dilan stabs Hande in the heart again and again and again. Hande tells Dilan that she is just like her as she dies in her sister's arms and curses Dilan (she's not a witch so it's just a metaphorical curse, but probs not great for that ole pixie luck). Ken pulls Dilan off of Hande's body and hugs her telling her it's over.

PART 3: BREAKING THE SPELL

The hexagon markings on the ground begin to spark as blue flames emerge where the white chalk lines were. You will be unable to cross into the center of the Hexagon now. The spell is working and who knows what sort of hell will be in store if it is completed.

The wind picks up in the air. People grip on to things around them to not be thrown by the sharp bursts of air as the spell picks up. In the center of the hexagon, you can see a figure begin to form. The first reaper is beginning to manifest. While, those in the sacrifice's feet are now bound to the ground. They will be unable to move from their point on the hexagon until the spell is broken.

AT THE PENDULUM:

Rohan, on the verge of over exertion with his nose bleeding, uses his air magic to try to fight back the wind in the room.

Jas wakes up before heading back after Lori. Kyle charges at Lori with the pitchfork. Jas calls upon her spirit raising, taking control of Alyssa's body and sending Alyssa charging at Lori flinging objects with her telekinesis. Lori made another shield to protect herself. Jas hurls another gust of wind Lori's way, before teleporting behind her. Forming a shadow dagger in her hand, she stabs Lori. Kyle brandishes Lori with the pitch fork. Lori tells Jas there is no way she can stop this. She says watch me, flinging Lori's body back with a gust of wind before teleporting over to Poppy to try to wake her up.

Jas tries to plea with Poppy. Lori tries to make a deal with Kyle to kill Jas. Poppy flings Jasmine flying back against a wall and sent voices screaming in her head. Altan pulls himself back up, set on breaking Poppy out of her trance, he tells Poppy he loves her. Poppy snaps out of it.

Nico punches Lori in the trachea. Lori puts a shield around Nico and shrinks it.

You've managed to stop the spell! The blue flames are snuffed out in an instance and those in the sacrifice who were trapped in place are now free from their magical binds and are able to move around freely. The town has thankfully not be destroyed (though the Pendulum has seen better days) and Lorelai Cavanaugh has not entirely succeeded. Though, before the spell was stopped, a black silhouette of smoke that resembled a humanlike being got out. What sinster being was just released from that forbidden spell?

PART 4: KILLING THE CATALYST

RECAP AS TO HOW LORI DIES:

Cat makes a beeline to Lori, darting around Nico, she flings herself at Lori to make a grab from the grimoire, ripping the book away from her as she hits the ground with a heavy thud. They manage to retrieve Poppy's grimoire.

Wendy throws a heel at the dark shadow figure that emerged before scrambling back across the floorboards.

JC tries to plea with everyone to not kill Lori yet as she is the only one who knows where Meena and Dhruv are.

Song, clutching his side, barely hanging on, charges forward and stabs Lori, before stumbling a few feet to the side and passing out.

Rangi spotted Lorelai Cavanagh through all the bodies and blood and magic strewn about the theater. Center stage, like the attention seeking bitch she always was. The anger that surged through Rangi was unlike any other she'd ever felt before. It made her vision run red, eyes unfocusing. She made her way up the stage slowly, watched a fist connect with Lorelai's face. Watched the magic flicker out, watched her whole world begin to crumble around her. She felt the tug once again, and this time, up on stage herself, Rangi let out another earpiercing scream, aimed in Lorelai's direction. When she had her focus, her attention-- and perhaps more than just her attention-- Rangi scowled. "How does it feel?" she snarled, stepping closer, picking up an abandoned knife on the ground. "To lose everything all over again?"

"Violent and foolish... entitled... wretched." Lori moaned, seeing as the flames snuff, as her hard work began to fade before her eyes. But something, yes, a flicker of something. That could be enough. That must be enough. She grinned. "Kill me, then. I'll take my knowledge with me," she glanced over at the wolf as he yelled. "Suffer. I want you to. I hope you do. Every last one of you. And I know you will." All of the pain she'd felt, all the years, all the voices. She might not have fully succeeded, but there was something a glimmer. That could be all that mattered. There were two knives. One first from the boy, the foolish boy. How childlike he'd looked when he'd scream. And another, again from a child, an insignificant one at that. "It feels beautiful," she rasped out. "I feel like I didn't lose at all."

Only, Mason begins to flicker. So does Kyle and Alyssa. Without the spell there is nothing keeping them here. They say their goodbyes.

Rangi came to stand over Lorelai, already bloody and bruised and battered. She'd planned on letting the woman have a go at her herself, wanted to see the pain in her eyes as whatever pain she caused Rangi became her own. But, instead, with cold, dead eyes and a voice even darker, Rangi leaned down over her. "Funny," she told her, "took the words right out of my mouth." Rangi was a mortician, she knew where every important organ was. One stab for the liver, one for each lung. One for the intestines. She left the knife buried there, shaking hands coming up to wrap around Lorelai's neck. "You fucking ruined everything!" she shouted then, tears flowing from her eyes. "You think death will be your escape? Death doesn't even want you! Death would be too good for you! Death doesn't care about you at all!" She squeezed harder. "You took, and you took and you took, because, what? You also suffered? Because you think you're some righteous warrior, enacting vengeance? You are nothing!" Rangi lifted Lorelai's body, hands still wrapped around her neck. "You are no one! You will be nothing be a footnote in this world! Death can not have you. Someone like you only gets darkness." And with one last squeeze, she felt bones snap under her hands, and felt the catalyst, Lorelai Cavanagh, go limp.

It was excessive, of course, the stabbing, the strangulation. But these people were known for their excess. Their waste. Poor girl, Lorelai thought, all that anger, directed at the wrong person. Lorelai could feel her peace. She could find her contentment. She was righteous, this she knew. And she was more than nothing. They'd remember her. They wouldn't be able to help it. And this? This was just the beginning. She was only The Catalyst.
