happy valentines day, dakota! 💖
not sure if this ones been asked yet, but the ro’s reactions to getting flowers, maybe?
hope you have a good day! :)
Viktor: Blushes a lot but puts them in a very prominent place in his dorm where everyone can see them. He’s used to getting flowers because his mom gets them for everyone for any possible occasion.
Theo: Makes such a huge deal about it. They kiss you, send a pic of the flowers to their family group chat, leaves them out as long as they possibly can. The flowers are, like, fully wilted before they’ll pitch them.
Charlie: Gushes over the flowers and tells you all the different meanings. Later, after you’re gone, they’ll call their moms and give the whole story. They’re the one who would learn how to dry flowers to keep a few blooms as a keepsake.
Luci: Probably almost cries the first time you give them flowers after all the Unchosen business. Their parents were never affectionate, even with gifts, so that kind of thoughtfulness is foreign to them. From MC, it means even more and kind of takes their breath away.
Cameron: They fully cry because their mom loved flowers and always had a fresh vase on the kitchen table. They display the flowers you give them in the kitchen just like she would’ve, and perhaps ask for an extra long cuddle at the end of the day.
Amri: They’ve gotten you flowers quite a few times by this point, most likely, but they’re incredibly touched that you return the sentiment. They’re used to doing the chasing and doting in their relationships so being the partner who is just appreciated for once is something they truly cherish.
Penny: Being a siren, she’s never gotten flowers before. She’s absolutely enthralled by them and spends quite a lot of time just staring at all the unique blooms. She’s rather taken with florals for awhile after this and makes quite a few dresses with floral fabric.
Harlow: They put on an indifferent front, but you could swear you see their lips tremble. They find a pretty vase, something vintage their grandmother had in her closet, and set the colorful blooms on their fireplace. You catch them looking at the flowers with fondness in their eyes more than once.
Avery: It’s been years since they trusted anyone with their heart, so the flowers are a novelty that make them quite emotional. They press a few in books to preserve them as a reminder.
Wraith: They don’t really get the meaning at first. They can’t remember much from their time as a human, but they know the flowers are somehow significant. As they brush their semi-incorporeal fingers over the petals, they cry pearlescent tears. They just wish they could take you into their arms, but they know that’s impossible.
Elis: They scoff at the mortal tradition, acting throughly disgusted by the flowers. However, when you walk in later and find them curled up in a chair in their reading corner, the flowers have been put in a vase sat on their side table.
Mor: Never in their entire immortal life did they ever think they would get flowers. They’re completely overjoyed with you, though, as they’ve always loved the concept of giving these short lived, delicate blooms to signify your love. Such short lives, yet flowers bring such joy.

The history of the Sikh is a rich palette of spiritual evolution, brave warriors and unshakable principles that have left an indelible mark on the world. The roots of Sikhism date back to the 15th century in the South Asian state of Punjab, where Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first of the Sikh gurus, laid the foundation for a new faith based on the concept of the One Supreme Creator. Guru Nanak Dev Ji was a visionary mystic and philosopher who tried to bridge the gap between different religious and social communities. He advocated equality of all human beings irrespective of caste, religion and gender. Guru Nanak's teachings were captured in hymns and poems, which later became the holy scripture of Sikhism, known as the Guru Granth Sahib.
The family of Sikh Gurus continued even after Guru Nanak Dev ji passed away, each offering chadar to the other. After him Guru Angad Dev Ji, Guru Amar Das Ji, Guru Ram Das Ji and Guru Arjan Dev Ji became. Guru Arjan Dev ji played an important role in shaping Sikhism by compiling the writings of not only Sikh Gurus but also saints of different religions. This collection has become the basis of Sikh literature and has become an important guide for the Sikh community.
The fifth Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, faced great persecution from the Mughal emperor Jahangir, who saw Sikhism as a challenge to his rule. Guru Arjan Dev Ji was martyred in 1606, becoming the first Sikh Guru to sacrifice his life for the principles he espoused.
Guru Hargobind Sahib, the sixth Guru, succeeded Guru Arjan Dev Ji and became the first teacher of the Guru Warriors. He led the Sikhs through a period of intense struggle against the oppressive Mughal rule. Guru Hargobind Sahib supported the Miri-Piri concept which emphasized spiritual and temporal authority. He wields two swords to symbolize this duality, marking the beginning of the Sikh martial tradition.
Guru Har Rai Ji and Guru Har Krishan Ji followed him as the seventh and eighth gurus respectively, contributing to the spiritual and humanitarian aspects of Sikhism. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru, stood out as a champion of religious freedom and tolerance. He sacrificed his life to protect the rights of Hindus and their religion during the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb.
Finally, the stage was set before the tenth and last human guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He faced enormous challenges in his life, including the loss of his father, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and the persecution of the Sikhs. Guru Gobind Singh Ji tried to awaken the Sikh community and prepare it to face difficulties with courage. In 1699 he founded the Khalsa, a special community of Sikhs bound by a code of conduct, baptized in Amri, the sacred nectar.
Under the leadership of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Sikhs became fearsome warriors and staunch defenders of the truth. The Khalsa formation instilled a spirit of fearlessness and devotion to justice among the Sikhs, empowering them to confront tyranny and oppression.
In the following centuries, the Sikh community suffered various trials and tribulations, but the principles of equality, service and devotion to the Creator remained unchanged. Sikh warriors such as Banda Singh Bahadur fought valiantly against tyranny and established a brief but influential Sikh kingdom in the early 18th century. After Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Martyrdom, there were many warriors: like Sardar Nawab Kapur, Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, Sardar Jassa Singh Ahluwaia, Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa and many more.
Sikh history embodies a legacy of spiritual enlightenment, unflinching courage and service to humanity. Today, Sikhs around the world continue to follow the teachings of their Gurus and contribute positively to their communities while maintaining the values that have defined their remarkable journey through history.

So you said amri’s seraphim ancestor favors them? 👀 can i inquire about that??
Amri’s great-great-grandmother, Kariel, is a seraphim. She blessed Amri when they turned sixteen after getting kicked out of their house for exposing their father’s actions on the Council.
Essentially, she claimed Amri as her own direct child rather than her descendent. In doing this, Amri gained her celestial magic and can wield it at a much higher level than almost any other nephilim.
The downside is that they are prone to, ah, outbursts of fire. Seraphim are known as the “burning ones” for their wings of fire, hence why Amri’s feathers do become rather flammable when they’re flustered.
Also, yes, Kariel claiming Amri was a huge middle finger to Amri’s dad.
