“See you later~” Niles watched Laslow run off, letting him get a fair distance ahead before starting to walk back to the castle as well. This afternoon has certainly turned out differently than he had expected, but it couldn’t have been much more interesting than this.

He nodded, it was surely going to be the only thing he was thinking about before the dance. And most likely after it, as well. So he wasn’t likely to be free from Niles anytime soon. “S-See you later.” Before the man could respond, he had darted off…Most likely to his room.

Tesla was lying on his back. Nnoitra was dead, dead or dying, and he was well on his way too. He wished the Soul Reaper had just cut him right through, so he didn’t have to watch. The world was starting to get fuzzy. Probably the blood loss, he considered, absently.

Of course, Seren was allowed to do what she liked, some of the times, as long as she was in the lab. It was what she was presently doing, idly sitting and pressing her nails into her skin. Where was Szayel, this was getting boring.

Hanna was clutching on to Damien’s arm. Of course, she was careful not to bump her own eyes, but the eyelids that protected the ones on her body were made of tougher stuff than her face. Every time she bounced on tip-toes, the fluffy dress she was wearing bounced with her. “Ooooh, Damien, Damien, can we do something fun today?”

It’s not like Henry ever spent much time around where the new heroes were summoned. He couldn’t see them after all, so he’d have to rely on someone else to tell him who was summoned. And that was really no fun! But here he was anyways, just because he didn’t have anything else to do really. 

Eh, it was probably going to be more people he didn’t know, or people that didn’t like him.

Niles knew he had quite the reputation for being predatory, but he didn’t think he’d done anything to incite fear in Laslow just yet. And honestly, he hadn’t been planning to.

“I’m not going to bite,” he said, giving a mock-offended sort of pout and taking another step closer. “You don’t need to run away from me. What’s got you so scared, huh?”

“Well… I suppose I can only advise you not to do anything else that you regret,” Niles said with a shrug. “There are only so many regrettable things you can carry with you, after all.”

It didn’t take a genius to work out that Laslow wasn’t exactly in the best of moods. Instead of turning and walking away, Niles took a step closer to the other retainer. “Something’s up, isn’t it?”

Odin had invited Laslow over to see him, to hang out. Nothing too forward, or anything, why would he have to worry about that? It didn’t stop him from pacing waiting for Laslow to arrive, and attempting to stay in denial. This was just a friend thing, they’ve been friends for a while, it’s not like there’s anything different. He just wanted to hang out.

When was Laslow going to get here?

“Oh, Laslow... You must have heard the stories people tell about me,” Niles purred. “Someone must have told you that I get off on making people squirm.” That predatory grin was back again. “Don’t take it personally. Unless you want to~”

“Y-You are far too much of a flirt…” He knew Niles was only doing this to tease him. And unfortunately for Laslow…This was very, very easy. “A-And why do you find this so fun, in the first place?”

Hanna had been out, running an errand, so when she came back she basically threw herself into Fright’s arms. It was amusing, that he’d been left at home to entertain the children, although she was sure he didn’t mind. “How were they? Nobody got seriously injured, I hope?”

Odin had stuck particularly close to Laslow recently. Of course, he had every reason to, it was very important, even his wife understood. She’d at the very least met him too. That really only left one member of Odin’s family left to meet, his daughter, and Odin was going to fix that posthaste. 

He’d brought the purple haired one year old to see Laslow, given that Laslow liked children he was sure to like this one. Odin had a big grin on his face as he knocked on Laslow’s door, holding Ophelia on his hip.
