We already have strong evidence to suggest that Katniss is Maude Ivory’s granddaughter. We also know the Barb Azure was romantically involved with another woman as a young adult. Tam Amber is also known colloquially as “the goat man” by the time of the 74th Games with nobody knowing/using his real name.

It seems like Lenore Dove is Covey AND that she was named specifically after Lucy Gray.

I don’t think it’s outside of the realm of possibility that any of the Covey is her parent, however I think by far the strongest candidate is Maude Ivory. She’s the one that is shown to be the closest to Lucy Gray in Ballad and it’s likely that she already has another child in the form of Katniss’s father.

Either way, I assume that Lenore Dove is well acquainted with Katniss’s father. But I’m imagining Katniss’s parents both losing someone close to them during the 50th Games, a best friend in the form of Maysilee Donner and a sister in Lenore Gray (indirectly a casualty of the Games/Capitol).

lucy gray + the covey going to the beach!!

warnings: travel ban lifted au, mentions of mizzen and coral, gay

- Barb Azure would be the one to bring everything. Towels, sunscreen, bug spray in case they go on a hike later, and a big backpack with toys.

- Maude Ivory would convince Lucy Gray to bury her in the sand, and then Lucy Gray would ‘forget’ and leave her there for a bit before coming back because she felt too guilty.

- Tam Amber isn’t the type to go to the beach, so he’d probably stay by the lounge chairs and watch Maude Ivory and CC.

- Maude Ivory can’t swim very well, so Lucy Gray and Barb Azure decided that today they’d teach her. Maude Ivory didn’t make much progress, but she was proud.

- On the beach, the covey would bump into Coral, and her younger friend Mizzen. Lucy Gray would be a bit turned off of Coral’s bluntness, but Barb Azure would see it as a challenge and hit it off with her.

- CC would definitely have a gay or bi awakening with Mizzen. No doubt about it. He’d go to Barb Azure for advice, and she’d just tell him to wing it.

- Maude Ivory would ask Coral if she saw actual coral reefs, and Coral would punch her in the shoulder. Another turn off for Lucy Gray, as she put on a band-aid for Maude Ivory.

- Tam Amber would get sunburnt after being out there for too long without moving, and he’d complain to leave while everyone else was having fun.

- When they had to leave, Barb Azure insisted that they’d come back- mainly to please Maude Ivory and CC. However, Lucy Gray was excited to come back too-without Coral and Mizzen.

thoughts on Lenore Dove

I just know Lenore Dove is a name like Lucy gray where you can’t just say Lenore or Lucy it has to be Lenor Dove. Kinda really hoping Lenore Dove is related to the covey! And if so I think she’ll be descendant from Tamb Amber or clerk carmine since Barb Azure is cannon lesbian!

- Once Sejanus was introduced to the Covey, Maude Ivory felt like she had to give him all of the gossip. Sejanus got no sleep that night, thinking of all the drama. Later, Lucy Gray apologized on behalf.

- After Tam Amber told Sejanus about Maude Ivory’s butter craze, Sejanus would go on a hike with Tam Amber to find some for Maude Ivory’s upcoming birthday.

- Lucy Gray and Sejanus would obviously talk about their similar values in trust and hatred towards The Hunger Games, and Clerk Carmine would snoop and ask about everything. By the end, Sejanus had no idea a 12 year old could talk that much.

- Sejanus would definitely ask Barb Azure on advice on how to get a girl, and Barb Azure would have no idea what to say. She’d just tell him to smile and try not to fall on his face.

- Lucy Gray would definitely try and teach Sejanus an instrument, but he’d fail. So, to please him, Barb Azure would give him the triangle and call it a day.

- Clerk Carmine would look up to Sejanus like a brother, since Billy Taupe is gone. They’d be as thick as thieves, throwing pranks on Maude Ivory and picking Katniss. Sejanus would point out that Katniss would be an awful good name.

- Maude Ivory would beg Sejanus for piggyback rides every time they go somewhere- and he can’t resist her big smile.
