Ok, so I love this very, very much on its own merits. The dancing! The shouts of glee! The guy pretty chill while he’s absolutely just shredding on the violin! The bowing! All great stuff.
But my fandom-rotted brain couldn’t help but connect it to this fic I read called Cadenza. I can’t remember the author at the moment (don’t feel like checking my bookmarks, but maybe ficthepainaway?) but it was about an AU for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Jacob was a busker who played the violin and didn’t like staying in a place for too long. Evie was, well, Evie, and she was settled and in a relationship with Henry Green and sometimes Jacob couch surfed with them. Freddie Abberline was still a cop, of course, and Jacob is not super on board with that, but he doesn’t know until later. Abberline basically just sees Jacob at the tube station where Jacob performs on the evening commute.
And, long story long, eventually Jacob’s family gets him an amp in the hope that it will make it harder for him to move around so much but just prior to the end of the story, he announces he’s moving to NYC. So of course this is immediately what came to mind, and like, this is probably what part of Jacob’s show would look like. I think he’d love NYC and he’s absolutely go completely viral over there. This is of no real relevance to the video but as I said, brainrot from massive Assassin’s Creed hyperfixation, with Syndicate being one of my favourites, and here we are.
If you’ve read it, I hope you can enjoy my insane ramblings about this, and if you haven’t, go read it! It’s the most insanely good rom-com, and I’m someone who generally loathes rom-coms. And then perhaps you will understand my reaction to this video.
When New Yorkers hear a violin 🤣🤣🕺🏾🔥

okay while i do agree with the statement that you do not need super expensive equipment to make good art, im also tired of people pretending that access to better quality materials whether that's digital software like csp or expensive traditional paints/pastels/pencils etc cannot help you improve your skill

I'm not really a big show tunes listener anymore but Bright Star is literally the best musical out there and everyone should listen to it.

would you expect anything less from a musician? :)c
AND SPEAKING OF MUSIC, here are other piano pieces I both think are just fantastic and that I also think P should learn to play alongside La Campanella:
Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre
Schubert - Erlkönig
Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 2, I. Moderato
Chopin - Etude Op.10 No.4 "Torrent"
Vivaldi - Winter (The Four Seasons)
Beethoven - Sonata No. 17 Tempest 3rd Movement
Beethoven - Sonata No. 23 Appassionata 3rd Movement
...do y'all think P knows how to read sheet music?
Like, he can play the piano—and he ends up being very skilled at it—but I also know people who can play piano very well that have NO idea how to read sheet music
And (unless I'm blind) I don't see sheet music on the piano while he plays...so....
