Ok, so I love this very, very much on its own merits. The dancing! The shouts of glee! The guy pretty chill while he’s absolutely just shredding on the violin! The bowing! All great stuff.
But my fandom-rotted brain couldn’t help but connect it to this fic I read called Cadenza. I can’t remember the author at the moment (don’t feel like checking my bookmarks, but maybe ficthepainaway?) but it was about an AU for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Jacob was a busker who played the violin and didn’t like staying in a place for too long. Evie was, well, Evie, and she was settled and in a relationship with Henry Green and sometimes Jacob couch surfed with them. Freddie Abberline was still a cop, of course, and Jacob is not super on board with that, but he doesn’t know until later. Abberline basically just sees Jacob at the tube station where Jacob performs on the evening commute.
And, long story long, eventually Jacob’s family gets him an amp in the hope that it will make it harder for him to move around so much but just prior to the end of the story, he announces he’s moving to NYC. So of course this is immediately what came to mind, and like, this is probably what part of Jacob’s show would look like. I think he’d love NYC and he’s absolutely go completely viral over there. This is of no real relevance to the video but as I said, brainrot from massive Assassin’s Creed hyperfixation, with Syndicate being one of my favourites, and here we are.
If you’ve read it, I hope you can enjoy my insane ramblings about this, and if you haven’t, go read it! It’s the most insanely good rom-com, and I’m someone who generally loathes rom-coms. And then perhaps you will understand my reaction to this video.
When New Yorkers hear a violin 🤣🤣🕺🏾🔥
#assassin's creed#amazing violinist#ficthepainaway#cadenza#such a cool video on its own#sorry for visiting my hyperfixation upon the unsuspecting#syndicate#juneelite#if the original violinist sees this please know you are amazingly talented and I hope you achieve all your dreams#even if they’re not violin or music related#thank you for allowing us to share in your brilliant performance

#YEAHHHHHH#A WHOLE BIOGRAPHY OF THIS SURPRISINGLY OBSCURE DUDE#what amazes me is that according to most sources I've found Scipio was a FANTASTIC man#he was not only a master strategist but also very charismatic and a great leader to his men#they all loved him so much#i suppose he's the exception to “History was written by the winners” *shrug*#also on an unrelated note you all should listen to Roots and Letters from the Atlantic both by the Arcadian Wild#they've been ingrained in my mind more so than usual today#THE WAY THE VIOLINIST DOES THE “BAH BAH BADOOBIE” PART IN THE LETTERS SONG IS SO CATCHYYYYY#the talkies tag#The Paper(tm)

Every time I listen to Bazelgeuse's theme I always think about how hard the strings are going like damn your arm must be hurting but you're really making this shit slap continue
#i love monster hunter so much#bazelgeuse's theme slaps so much#the orchestral version is amazing you can hear every one of those violins putting their whole violussy into it#yes add some drama some flair to this explosive bastard#like YES the horns are important and iconic to the song BUT they are amplified by the violinists shredding for their lives

okay while i do agree with the statement that you do not need super expensive equipment to make good art, im also tired of people pretending that access to better quality materials whether that's digital software like csp or expensive traditional paints/pastels/pencils etc cannot help you improve your skill
#stfu kory#running a stick through the mud can produce amazing art but if your stick keeps breaking then you're going to want to give up#which is sad bc the arts are a very necessary part of every day life. fund the arts more#this also goes for performing arts.#if youre a violinist your skill will not matter if you have gross old horse hair on your bow that cant hold rosin and sounds like shit

@certified-memelord
would you expect anything less from a musician? :)c
AND SPEAKING OF MUSIC, here are other piano pieces I both think are just fantastic and that I also think P should learn to play alongside La Campanella:
Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre
Schubert - Erlkönig
Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 2, I. Moderato
Chopin - Etude Op.10 No.4 "Torrent"
Vivaldi - Winter (The Four Seasons)
Beethoven - Sonata No. 17 Tempest 3rd Movement
Beethoven - Sonata No. 23 Appassionata 3rd Movement
...do y'all think P knows how to read sheet music?
Like, he can play the piano—and he ends up being very skilled at it—but I also know people who can play piano very well that have NO idea how to read sheet music
And (unless I'm blind) I don't see sheet music on the piano while he plays...so....
#actually currently learning how to play Feel on the piano#why are the rhythms the Way They Are#it's rly pretty tho <3#ANYWAYS y'all should listen to the pieces they're amazing hehehe#yes i put two beethoven pieces on the list because beethoven is GOOD#erlkönig and danse macabre are my favs tho <3#can u tell i'm a classically trained pianist LOL#and violinist...and singer...#listen#i come from a very musical family xD#echosong971#lies of p#pinocchio#lies of p pinocchio#echo rambles#echo yells about classical music#and piano#music
