yesterday, upon knowing that some undertale aus take pace after a neutral route or a failed pacifist route, i asked myself a question :

what if in an au with different-ish lore, after a failed pacifist route that ended at Asgore's fight and after some years, a human fell with the intent of the deed and through out the story they still wanted to do it?

And that's how i came up with the new ut au - Damned to be the 8th. The idea started out as undertale only, but the need for crossover got into it, in a way -

In this timeline there's a medium sized town named Hillford next to the mountain. All 7 humans ( yes, Frisk too ) where damned and exiled by society and where either thrown into or chased to mt.Ebott due to some excuse made up by the town preachers of those times. This practice was discontinued in 2015 after a child's body was found near one of the cave entrances. It's 2024 and there hasn't been a case where someone diapered into mt.Ebott, yet.

Then there's Mira Fallow, a 15 year old girl, who is the this day and age's damned one. Her soul trait is impartiality(color coded as hot pink), which is the trait of seeing almost everyone as beings of equal rights and defending them from those who don't acknowledge said rights. Special soul ability is the Parry mechanic. She was accused by the current preacher, Seth Aragon(all of the towns preachers are in the same Aragon bloodline) of being a modern(stereotypical) witch, despite being one of the only living humans that can do magic. The hate towards her was ridiculous, topped with rumors, false accusations, bullying and so on. Despite almost everyone in the town, she still had some friends, them being Kris, Susie, Noelle, Benji(short for Benjamin and is this aus Berdly), a Japanese immigrant named Hikaru(I TOLD YOU THE CROSSOVER HAD MADE IT'S WAY, HELL THE SOUL OF BRAVERY(WHICH IS ALSO CALLED IN THIS AU THE SOUL OF HEROISIM) IS LITERALY ALMA) and another human with magic named Ralsei.

The hate has been getting to Mira and not even her friends could fully lift her spirits. She wants the pain, the agony, all of it to end. She wants everyone to realize what they've been doin. and as soon as she heard of the story of the damned 7, she wants be the 8th, to be dead. It's the night of the 9th anniversary of the disappearance of the 7th, Mira has packed everything she liked and every personal to her belongings. She had made her way to the hole of mt.Ebott. It was time. She closed her eyes and jumped into the abyss. She had made it to the bottom and waited for her demise.

Only to wake up in the morning alive to the sight of the ghost of the first human that ever stepped foot in the underground, the one before the damned 7 - Caroline 'Chara' Dreemurr. And this is how Mira's story started...

One day, Amatsuga Hikaru, a junior high school student living in Kitakagami City, meets the mysterious "Ude"-shaped mechanical life form Alma. Alma attempts to bind to Hikaru's body in order to obtain energy from him, but fails. To his surprise, it binds to the hoodie that Hikaru was wearing. Meanwhile, the "Kagami Group," a large corporation that plans to enslave the Mecha-Udes and turn them into weapons, is in pursuit of Alma.
