Tumblr media
"Ruler, they're fighting again." She's begrudgingly become a little more accepting of Takechi since the manslayers are all so fond of him.
Tumblr media
"I've told them time and time again to cut it out." The only time when they seem to talk civilly is when it concerns the manslayers. Well, this was fine too. It was a start. At least those two are proving to be good for something.
Tumblr media
"You two should keep your dogs on a leash." All the fighting was entertaining though.
Tumblr media
"Are you saying you want a collar, Jubei? Because after that stupid stunt that you've pulled, I'm willing to put one on you. PERMANENTLY." A shock collar. She wants to put a shock collar on him for all the trouble he's causing her.
Tumblr media
"It wasn't even my fault! I almost died too, you know!" And as always, he's blaming someone else for the trouble he irresponsibly causes.

Fate/Grand Order Gudaguda 2021 (Ryouma Close Call) - Final chapter summary
Buckle up friends this is a long one because there was so much good dialogue I wanted to include.
Arrow 1
The giant robot towers over the city of Saitama. This is the thing Takasugi had in the works. The Grail, Nobunaga's head, and Ama-no-Sakagami were all part of the plan. An artificial god to rewrite the Singularity. Ama-no-Sakagami protests; Takasugi's part of their deal was to create a body for it. And he did -- but he never said Ama-no-Sakagami would be able to use it as it pleased. Takasugi's specialty is vague negotiations, after all. The artificial god, Arahabaki, absorbs Ama-no-Sakagami. Takasugi then turns to Chaldea's Master. He seeks to create a true Restoration; a world in which weakwilled leaders cease to be, and only an absolute king remains. But such a king can't be a human, otherwise the nation won't change. Thus, he concluded it had to be an king that is eternal. That is his creation, the Arahabaki.
Takechi disagrees with Takasugi's ideals, but Takasugi stands firm in that the imperial court would never bring true change. Neither would Tokugawa. It's all futile as long as a human stands at the top. Humans cannot regulate humans. Master points out that thing does not have the will of a person, and Takasugi knows. He knows it might be stupid. But, well, if it's amusing, that's fine for him. Takechi thinks he's lost his mind, or that he's fallen under the influence of Ama-no-Sakagami. He can't completely deny it -- but that's fine, too. In any case, he'll test his new god out on this rabble. Takechi asks him if he likes persimmons, giving way for an old proverb: "planted peach and chestnut trees bear fruit in three years, persimmons bear fruit in eight." It takes times for one's actions to bear fruit. He's reluctant to steal given Takasugi's worked so hard for this... but he'll be taking those persimmons.
A magic field actives above the city. Okuni is up there. It's a grand sealing boundary field handed down from the Age of Gods. She'll be sealing away that Arahabaki. Takasugi laughs; there's no way a single Servant such as herself can seal it away. Which is exactly why Okuni has brought a guest! The so-called first shrine maiden, the queen of Yamatai; Himiko. Arahabaki can't move now that team Chaldea has stolen away all his magic furnaces to supply it. They've used that gathered magical energy to create the boundary field. Takasugi is angry; he thought they destroyed the furnaces, but they pillaged them instead. Takechi reminds him he did say he'd have those persimmons. This was all Ryouma's plan. Okuni bids everyone look to the sky. Is it a bird? A UFO? No, it's the star of Ranmaru that lights up the night sky! Mysterious Ranmaru X! A light travels across the sky and plummets towards the ground. Ranmaru has Chacha and Nagayoshi with her. They're going to charge into Arahabaki. It's no match for Nagayoshi's spear. He uses his Noble Phantasm. Chacha grabs the box with Nobunaga's head while they're inside the machine god, and they swiftly exit. Takasugi, on the other hand, is pleased. Had everything gone as he'd planned, it'd be dull. It's time to settle things. He'll wager everything on Arahabaki. A battle starts.
Arrow 2
The Chaldea team continues to try to bring down Arahabaki. Takasugi is getting frustrated. He wants them to let him enjoy this fully -- and then he coughs blood.
Takechi: "Takasugi...?" Takasugi: "...What's this? Hey, don't tell me it's this again? You've got to be kidding me. Why, when I was just about to have some fun?" Takechi: "Don't tell me... your body..." Takasugi: "Is this as far as I go towards becoming a Heroic Spirit? Couldn't it at least have waited a little longer? Let me die fighting. I've never heard of an evil boss dying from illness." Takechi: "This is the end of the line, Takasugi. In the end, we're deceased bodies. Creating a new world should be left to people who are alive like her, after all." Takasugi: "... Dead people can't make a country, huh. Takechi, you're really not a funny guy."
Takasugi coughs, then admits defeat. He's happy with what he managed to do. However, he doesn't get to bow out that easily. Ama-no-Sakagami manifests behind him, unleashing a series of strikes at him. Thanks to Chaldea beating down Arahabaki, Ama-no-Sakagami was able to escape from its spell. Takasugi is weak, but he doesn't need to worry; Ama-no-Sakagami will become his god and make the amusing world he so desires. He takes over Arahabaki, making it unleash its true power under the name of Ama-no-Sakagami. Who cares about a human era, Loyalists, or the Restoration. Ama-no-Sakagami will have the humans under his feet. His final coming as a god is at hand--
???: "Can't let you do that." Ama-no-Sakagami: "...? What was that voice?"
A light emerges below his foot. It's coming from Sakamoto's spear. This can't be. he should have fallen down the hill to the underworld. Why is he here?
The scene ends.
Arrow 3
The scene fades in to the bottom of a lake. A black serpent sleeps in the background. Ryouma is here, but he has no idea where 'here' is. Maybe he did end up on the hill to the underworld.
Ryouma: "...No, that's not it, this is--?!"
We zoom in on the serpent. Black and purple. It sleeps.
Ryouma: "This is... perhaps Oryo's--" ???: "Indeed. An unruly aberrant that was chased from the heavens, fed on lives, and eventually fed on entire nations." Ryouma: "Ama-no-Sakagami... No, that's not it. I didn't think it possible, but are you a real god?" ???: "It doesn't matter to me who I am. You have a duty to be rid of this aberrant. You who pulled out the spear Ama-no-Sakahoko." Ryouma: "What are you on about, Oryo is already..." ???: "Not dead. The aberrant you brought along is no more than a copy of the aberrant sleeping within this abyss. Eventually this aberrant will awaken, become an evil god that devours nations, and lead Japan to ruin. To prevent this, the Ama-no-Sakahoko was dropped from the heavens." Ryouma: "Sleeping within the abyss? I see... Ever since the day I died, Oryo was always in this abyss..." ???: "Now, be rid of this aberrant. Ama-no-Sakahoko is a remnant of the Age of Gods that descended from the heavens. The only thing that can bring destruction upon an unruly aberrant is this spear from the same Age of Gods ." Ryouma: "Oryo, I really made you wait." ???: "What are you doing." Ryouma: "I never said it. That day, the day I died -- the words I wanted to say to you in the end." ???: "..." Ryouma: "So I'll say them now."
Ryouma starts to cry.
Ryouma: "Oryo... I'm sorry." ???: "Foolish human. You've been enthralled by the unruly aberrant." Ryouma: "To me, Oryo has always been Oryo. Oryo was always waiting for me here, so I'll also..." ???: "...I see, that's the human's -- no, Sakamoto Ryouma -- that is your answer." Ryouma: "...Alright, off you go. I'll remain here by her side until this body rots away." ???: "They're such strange things, those humans. Even when they know they're making a mistake, they can't help but go through with it. Even though they know what's right, they can't bring themselves to do it. That is how things differ between gods and people. The unruly aberrant was so drawn to you, loved you so, it stopped trying to ascend to the heavens, and came to this abyss to slumber." Ryouma: "..." ???: "I acknowledge you, human who threw away the path to godhood. I shall teach you the true meaning of the Ama-no-Sakahoko. That spear's true power is not to bring destruction to evil spirits. No, it's not even a spear, at that. It fell from the heavens for the sake of greeting this aberrant into the heavens as a new god; a sign of my atonement shed from the heavens for this thing that was abhorred as an aberrant long ago." Ryouma: "...Then this spear was really meant to return Oryo to the heavens." ???: "Now, turn the spear to the skies! Now is the time for this unruly aberrant to be reborn as a new god -- no, as your guardian! And a new god needs a name given! The White Orochi of Takachiho!" Ryouma: "The spear is making Oryo..."
A flash of white. The serpent's eyes shine.
Oryo: "... What's with this familiar scent. Is it... Ryouma? Is that you?" Ryouma: "Yeah, I sure made you wait, but it's me, Oryo." Oryo: "Ryouma! I've waited for you for so, so long! There are so many things I need to say to you. I always thought I should apologize. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I always thought I should thank you. For saving me, for giving me a name -- I've-- There's something I always wanted to say to you!" Ryouma: "Yeah, I've kept you waiting. There's also something I've thought I should say to you, too."
Oryo's humanoid form takes shape next to Ryouma.
Ryouma and Oryo: "I'm glad I got to meet you."
Another flash of white, and the two transform. Oryo turns white, and Sakamoto wears a new uniform with a white blade. They're ready to go. To the plains of Wadatsumi. The voice calls out.
???: "...I see. After a long... long time, that unruly aberrant has truly found something important to it. Something more important than ascending to the heavens and becoming a god. Human, no, Sakamoto Ryouma. ...I leave my daughter in your hands."
The scene fades to white, and we return to Saitama. Oryo and Sakamoto have come back, much to Ama-no-Sakagami's surprise.
Ryouma: "Kept you waiting, Master. Everyone." Izou: "What do you mean, kept you waiting, you idiot! What do you mean, kept you waiting... you idiot...!" Nagayoshi: "Geh, took you long enough." Ranmaru: "We've been waiting, Sakamoto husband and wife." Chacha: "Husband and wife, Ranmaru?!" Okuni: "Well well, if this isn't the star performers taking the stage." Zanzaburou: "Zaaaaaaaan!" Ama-no-Sakagami: "What is that power flowing from your body?! Is it the power of Ama-no-Sakahoko... No, it is something entirely different." Ryouma: "That's right, it's the power of love, so to speak."
Ryouma and Oryo are ready for combat; a Kaientai of the two alone. The final battle begins.
After the fight, Oryo and Ryouma unleash their new Noble Phantasm: My Dear, Conquer the Fields of Wadatsumi. Ama-no-Sakagami cannot believe a human would be capable of destroying a god. Takasugi is laughing at him, now separated from the evil god. Oryo catches him before he can fall to his demise. Ama-no-Sakagami, however, is not quite done yet. He lunges for Takechi to possess him. Unfortunately for him, Takechi has engraved a seal into his very body to drive away the entity. He knew the god would aim for him, whose heart is the weakest of those present. Takechi will see this to the end, as something he alone needs to do. For his brethren, and for Tanaka. He brandishes his blade and drives it into himself. Finally, the entity is banished, brought to ruin with Takechi himself. Izou has a tearful farewell with his old leader; Takechi tells him his sword is to protect people, yet Takechi made Izou kill people. He asks for forgiveness. That this time, Izou will use his sword to protect. And he tells Ryouma to help this country, and those young ones. With that, he's gone.
Takasugi ushers them on their way; the Singularity will soon cease to be. Turns out being a Heroic Spirit wasn't all that interesting; he's still sick even as a Servant, which is the end of the line for him. He hands the Holy Grail to Master as a souvenir. Ryouma is glad they managed to meet again; Takasugi is still the prodigy child (kirinji) he met in Edo -- no, rather, still the same qilin. Takasugi remarks that if the dragon soaring through the heavens and the qilin were together, they could probably do anything. He laughs at his own joke, and bids goodbye. The Chaldea team heads off.
Takasugi, left on his own, is soon joined by Okuni.
Takasugi: "What, weren't you going with them?" Okuni: "No, I still have my contract with you. And well, this is a rare chance, I figured I'd do a single dance to your shamisen." Takasugi: "Heh... The Izumo no Okuni and my shamisen... Sure sounds fun. Right... where did I leave it... Ah, there it is. Let's see."
Takasugi plays the shamisen and Okuni begins her dance. The various areas of the city are shown on the screen, before returning to the two.
Takasugi: "...Say." Okuni: "What is it?" Takasugi: "Now that I take a good look, you're kinda cute." Okuni: "Is this the time, company president? But also, 'kinda'?! Holy shit de gozaimasu yo! Quite the words for me who's made plenty of the people in power in my time weak in the knees!" Takasugi: "Hahaha, in that case, I wish I'd slept together with you until late in the morning at least once. I think..." Okuni: "...Rest. Please, rest well. Hero of the Restoration, Takasugi Shinsaku."
The chapter ends.

Have I mentioned just how much I love Amanojaku as a plot device? It's so convenient that he lives in the heart of weak people. And you know what weakness leads to? Desperation. And I have a really REALLY desperate person on this blog.
Tumblr media
You know. As Takechi ascends, so does Amanojaku. So as Takechi gets stronger, Amanojaku slowly gets to his full status of Ama-no-Sakagami. That reflective mask is coming off at that stage. He's just gonna make sure he corrupts everything he touches and make sure he survives.
Anyway. I plot so much of Kiomi's mind crippling struggles that she either breaks at the end of it, or she conquers it. Eitherway, my plan is to make her subdue Ama-no-Sakagami and make him submit at the cost of whatever she chooses to sacrifice-- because she's a weak human and all. So she is willing to do whatever it takes. Even if it means her own ruin. Who knows. Maybe if Ama-no-Sakagami likes her enough, he's willing to be a tamed servant.
"I̍̅̀̎̊'l̙͖̑̾ͣl̙͖̑̾ͣ ĝ̽̓̀͑ỉ͔͖̜͌v͒̄ͭ̏̇ẹ̿͋̒̕ y҉̃̀̋̑o̯̱̊͊͢ư̡͕̭̇ p̞̈͑̚͞o̯̱̊͊͢w̦̺̐̐͟ẹ̿͋̒̕r̴̨̦͕̝ b̬͖̏́͢ẹ̿͋̒̕f̵͖̜̉ͅỉ͔͖̜͌t̲̂̓ͩ̑t̲̂̓ͩ̑ỉ͔͖̜͌ṇ̤͛̒̍ĝ̽̓̀͑ ā̤̓̍͘l̙͖̑̾ͣl̙͖̑̾ͣ t̲̂̓ͩ̑ḣ̖̻͛̓ā̤̓̍͘t̲̂̓ͩ̑ r̴̨̦͕̝ā̤̓̍͘ĝ̽̓̀͑ẹ̿͋̒̕."

Fate/Grand Order Gudaguda 2021 (Ryouma Close Call) - Chapter 10 summary
I’m hoping to get the final chapter up today as well, but if I don’t make it, it will be up tomorrow for sure!
Arrow 1
Flashback time. A younger Takasugi is at a beach with Sakamoto. Reminiscing, and wondering whether the country will truly change. Sakamoto thinks it'll be a while longer; defeating the Shogunate is not enough. Sakamoto also thanks Takasugi for the pistol. Thanks to that, he escaped from the Terada inn with his life. Takasugi waves him off -- it was thanks to that woman. But where did he find her? Sakamoto says he met her on a mountain when he went to Satsuma. They begin to wrap up their talks and confirm they'll meet up in Edo, which is where they also met for the first time. After Sakamoto leaves, Takasugi claims he'll accomplish something even more interesting than Sakamoto, so he should look forward to it. Just as he says that, he coughs up blood. This is not interesting at all to him.
Returning to the Singularity, we're back in the underground storage area. Takasugi is being filled in by a soldier; the enemy is attacking all six blocks of the city simultaneously. Takasugi didn't think they had the numbers. Furthermore, they have Shinsengumi with them, surprising Takasugi even more. But, well, this is close to their origin -- didn't they come from Tama in Bushuu (Musashi province)? The soldier continues to report; Nagao Kagetora has appeared in the Kasukabe Block. In the Kumagaya Block, Oda Nobunaga's younger brother is in charge. In Kawagoe is the Yamatai queen. Oh and there's some mystery Heroic Spirit calling itself "Majin-san", and an old man are also tearing down the city's defenses with his bare hands. Lastly, a Heroic Spirit with a shield and a conchshell. Takasugi finds all this hilarious, but then he's angry they'd keep something so amusing hidden from him. Sakamoto reminds him about the magical energy supplies, and Takasugi thinks this might be bad for them. He'll have to use something he didn't really want to bring out.
In the city, Ryouma thinks they can get into Takasugi's HQ at this rate; Takechi is surprised they had such backup hidden, and that they'd catch on to what was happening so fast. Ryouma points to Master being the reason for it. Takechi compares Master to young Ryouma, but Izou doesn't think they look alike. Another tremor, and the energy absorption field in the city manifests again; but with this amount of strength, it might very well kill the inhabitants of the city. Ryouma calls for everyone to press onwards. They need to hurry.
Back with Takasugi. They weren't going to use the citizens to fuel their work, but at this point they have no choice. But, oh, they're here.
Master and co. show up at the scene. Takasugi invites them for a drink, but Izou turns him down -- he's on the job, after all. Takechi wants revenge for his Loyalist comrade.
Takasugi: "'Comrade', are you maybe referring to Tanaka? You're joking, Takechi. The Loyalist Party is just a tool as far as you're concerned, and the same goes for Izou there, and Tanaka. And Izou, that guy always meant to simply use you, right? This is your chance to double-cross him." Izou: "Sorry, but right now I've been tasked with acting as this guy's escort."
Takasugi then addresses Master with anger over Master having something more amusing than Takasugi himself. But Master won't fall for his tricks; he's just buying time. He's about to call for Sakamoto, but pauses. The others have heard about Ama-no-Sakagami, anyway. The booting phase is about good to go, so Takasugi asks Ama-no-Sakagami to handle these people. Ama-no-Sakagami addresses Ryouma, who remarks that he's stopped talking like him. Ama-no-Sakagami says that's because this vessel's sense of self is diminishing. Usually the vessels end up crippled after about half a year, but this one has gone on for longer. It's the first time that's happened, actually.
Ryouma: "My determination's always been relatively strong, I guess." Ama-no-Sakagami: "And you still seem to crack jokes. But, what can you even do now you've lost that woman? You've seen the power of Ama-no-Sakahoko." Ryouma: "Yeah, but there are times a man must act." Ama-no-Sakagami: "I thought you'd be a bit smarter, but if you want to die, so be it." Ryouma: "Let's go! Ama-no-Sakagami!"
Ryouma swings at Ama-no-Sakagami, but he believes it futile; Ryouma is nothing compared to his spear. He strikes Ryouma, who collapses. If they thought they had a chance of winning, it was simply desperation, Ama-no-Sakagami remarks. As he's about to move on to the others, he finds he can't move his spear.
Ryouma: "Looks like it worked, somehow."
Flashback to Ryouma scheming with the others; with Okita and the rest usurping each of the Blocks, they should be able to do something. But they still need to figure out what to do about Ama-no-Sakagami. Still, Ryouma has a plan; that thing is still using the Servant Sakamoto Ryouma as its vessel. That gives them a chance to win. Which is...
Back to the present.
Ryouma: "Ama-no-Sakagami, for what reason do you hold this spear?" Ama-no-Sakagami: "Why? That's because this is your--" Ryouma: "Indeed, that spear with that body... In fact, as far as this Singularity is concerned, it is the Noble Phantasm of the Servant Sakamoto Ryouma. You, for some reason, did not bring Oryo. The me of this Singularity does not have Oryo, but rather that spear as a Noble Phantasm." Ama-no-Sakagami: "You can't be--" Ryouma: "In other words -- This spear is also my Noble Phantasm. Sorry, but I'm taking this back!" Ama-no-Sakagami: "Impossible! Stealing the Noble Phantasm of this vessel? The Ama-no-Sakahoko that makes even gods bow down?!" Ryouma: "Well, it's not simple. But as you say, the Ama-no-Sakahoko is a heavenly spear that makes even gods bow down. Were you to be on the receiving end of that power, a descendant of the gods as you are, it'd do considerable damage. Ah well, I'm a human, so it'll be a test of endurance to see who goes first."
Ama-no-Sakagami can tell he's serious. Izou cheers Ryouma on, but quickly notes something isn't right. Ryouma confirms. This spear was something he'd thrown away, after all. It likely isn't happy with someone who only looks like its owner -- but he's going to take Ama-no-Sakagami with him. Izou scolds him for not saying anything earlier. Ryouma tells Master he'll leave the rest to them, before approaching Ama-no-Sakagami. They're both enveloped in a bright light, and the scene ends.
Arrow 2
Ryouma is in some void filled with blue lights, thinking he died. But the voice of Ama-no-Sakahoko tells him it is not so. It greets Ryouma.
Ama-no-Sakahoko: "To think there are people who would throw away something granted by the heavens." Ryouma: "I didn't need it, after all." Ama-no-Sakahoko: "There, that's it. Why did you release that aberrant? That person brought calamity to this land, it is an unruly aberrant." Ryouma: "It looked like it had it rough, that's why." Ama-no-Sakahoko: "What?" Ryouma: "Anyone'd have it rought after being pierced by a spear." Ama-no-Sakahoko: "Is that... Is that really all there is to it?" Ryouma: "That's all." Ama-no-Sakahoko: "Why I never... Very well. This spear is one that was dropped from the heavens to be rid of calamity. Its power has long been granted to those chosen to guide people. Do you not desire that power? It could become the power you need to protect those you want to protect, you know?" Ryouma: "...Power, huh. The power to protect what I want to protect. I lived longing for that. And it is something I never got my hands on." Ama-no-Sakahoko: "Then you may take up this spear. Should you make this spear yours, strike down that evil god. Do this, and you shall be permitted to ascend to the heavens as not a person, but a god." Ryouma: "A god... not a human..." Ama-no-Sakahoko: "Indeed, you will walk the path towards the gods." Ryouma: "...I see. I understand." Ama-no-Sakahoko: "Now then... This is the birth of a new god."
However, there's the sound of Ryouma breaking something. Ama-no-Sakahoko is taken aback. It's quite easy to break a spear of the gods, as it turns out. But does he not realise what he's done? Breaking a spear granted to the people by the heavens? But Ryouma's already realised it; this isn't the spear talking. It's Ama-no-Sakagami, who  manifests as it's called out. Ryouma didn't want to become a god, so he broke the spear. Ama-no-Sakagami reminds him that even if he didn't fall under its control, breaking the spear means it's the end for Ryouma, as well. But Ryouma doesn't need it. Well then, he can rot along with the spear, eternally wandering Yomotsu Hirasaka, the slope to the afterworld. Ama-no-Sakagami disappears, leaving Ryouma alone.
Ryouma: "...I don't need it. This spear that pierced Oryo."
With that, Sakamoto fades into nothing.
Back in the Singularity, the spear has also broken, and Ama-no-Sakagami emerges. Ryouma's body stands motionless. Takasugi wonders if this is fine -- with no vessel, Ama-no-Sakagami is pretty powerless. Izou thanks him for that information. They make ready to pay Takasugi back for Ryouma, Oryo, and Shinbei. Takasugi announces that they made it; the plan is proceeding. They'd always intended for Ama-no-Sakagami to detach from Sakamoto. They've been making a new body for him. The body it lost in the Age of Gods, that it may recover the power it once had. That is Takasugi's "Kishin Project".
The earth trembles, and Izou pulls Master away from the place. Takasugi and Ama-no-Sakagami remain. Takasugi remarks that this is about the right timing for him to be disposed of. But Ama-no-Sakagami is the fool here; Takasugi factored his into his Kishin Project. He's used to betray, but not used to being betrayed. All he seeks is Ama-no-Sakagami's power, and so he made this godly vessel to make that possible. The Strange Kami: Arahabaki.
A cutscene plays. The earth trembles, and a machine body rises from the ground to tower over the buildings in the city.
The chapter ends.

Being summoned as Ruler, Takechi's negative feelings are intensified because of how his core's corrupted by Ama no Sakagami. I wrote something on this blog about this, and I've decided to keep that as something blog-canon for his Ruler portrayal. Although it's not too different, it's just that when things that bothered him in his past life comes to surface, the evil kicks in.
If you manage to summon him as another class (Saber in this blog's case), he's a little closer to event Takechi.

Ah yes, I'm thinking about this asshole here. Ama-no-Sakagami/Amanojaku is such an interesting plot device for my version of Takechi. Seeing this guy from the event reminded me of why my portrayal of Zuizan is rather inherently vengeful. Like I've mentioned before, my sources for this portrayal is heavily HC'd based on a number of resources, including Ryoumaden. So, I actually liked the fact that in that series, you'll sometimes see Hanpeita having some kind of exchange with "himself". One that's often depicted in black, to show a more sinister side of himself.
The tag "Takechi Zuizan || Only Demons Get the the Work Done" is inspired by his talk with Ryouma mentioning something like this, and Takechi taking it upon himself to be the kind of demon needed in order to reach the goal that he had in mind.
Within the event, Takechi himself acknowledges that between Ryouma, Izou, and him, he was the one who had the weakest conviction. And I want to use this knowledge as well as Amanojaku to justify the behavior of this blog's Takechi. One that stems from the time when he was still alive, which eventually branches out to when he becomes a heroic spirit.
While Takechi doesn't lack the skill to make his goal a reality, sometimes it's his conviction that wavers. Hanpeita is an honorable man who abides by the rules and code of the Samurai. He's the type of person that won't ever lift a hand against his lord, yet at the same time act on behalf of his lord's name even without being told to do so. Which is why, he takes it upon himself and the Kinnoto to carry out Heaven's Punishment against those who did not support Sonnou Joui, and instead showed particular favor to the barbarians. But see, once you kill someone, you can't go back. And while Takechi wasn't exactly the one who carried them out, he was the one who planned who the targets were going to be. I can imagine that it was during this time that-- particularly during Yoshida Toyo's assassination that the Amanojaku could have spotted him, and chose him as a temporary vessel. This evil spirit would be the shadow hanging over the Kinnoto's leader, coercing him into the decisions that led to one murder after the next.
But of course, we do know that Takechi was implicated in the Yoshida murder, to which he was arrested for; and eventually being told to carry out Seppuku after Izo had confessed to the killings. I can imagine that from his initial rage of getting betrayed, Takechi makes a pact with Amanojaku, that if it could grant him his wish one day, he will carry out anything that it wishes for-- to which it agrees. So even after death, part of the evil spirit resides within Takechi's soul, and thus corrupting his saint graph in the process during summoning.
Well, this is the idea at least. The introduction of Amanojaku just gives shape to the "demonic/sadistic" side tendencies that manifests every once in a while.
