I listened to #relentless about 6 times last year. A tremendous book! - Then we at @mutualofomaha were able to listen @timgrover via @zoom live. His direct speech is refreshing. His “I’m not a motivational speaker” and “I’m not giving you the top 5 steps to success” attitude is truth born in experience. He puts in the work . He knows the path to success and winning is doing things that fail or don’t turn out. It’s being unconventional when everyone is saying do it the opposite. - He’s speaking to those CRAZY enough to think they can change things. That could be the person wanting to quit smoking. Or the father who wants to be there at their kid’s activities despite the demanding career responsibilities. Or the mom who is returning to school after being a full time mother for the previous decade. Or the person who wants to lead their team to sales records. These are people who will WIN at whatever it takes. They will pull all nighter’s. They’ll swallow their pride. They’ll ignore their family and friends that say they’re CRAZY. Normal never got results worth talking about. - When I joined Mutual Omaha I was asked, “what do you need from us?” My response? - “Stay out of my way. I know what I need to get done, and I will do whatever it takes. It might be unconventional so just keep me checked-in so I don’t go to far off the rails.” - Since September 2018: I became an ambassador with the @houstonwestcoc, advisor member of the West Houston Young Professionals, committee member of the @alztex in #Houston, hosted Guest in the West, now rebranded Biz Talk with Sherman @nowmediatv21 where we feature those great business people and their stories in #radio #tv #podcast and #ONdemand We’re actively promoting ourselves on college campuses, in the community and online via a weekly networking which I cohost with @this.is.milagros, monthly book 📖 club and other online presentations like How to Land Your Dream Job. - These are all on top of the job of prospecting, recruiting, interesting, coaching, training, leading, learning, practicing and consistently adjusting to life. - Ready.
