Monster Hunter Stories 2 Third Anniversary ! (OMG Time flies !)

3 years ? Are you serious ? 3 YEARS ?!

Time flies way too fast in my opinion ...

3 years later and this is still one of my favourite games of all time, if not my favorite !

Also they just made a compilation of both games released ?! I hope this will mean a future third game because I don't want this series to end.

Greetings beings of Rotomblr. My name is Alwin, and it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance!

I’m I was a Wyverian from Rutoh Village in Alcala region. My age is almost three centuries old, if I recall correctly. Not that my age matters. My pronouns are he/him.

I’ve been in this world for some time, almost a century and a half. Enough time so that I’ve watched my chosen’s descendants come and go. I don’t know why Arceus took me from my own home (and my universe, if He is to be believed), or why He’s commanded me to be His right hand, but won’t disobey. It would be too much of a risk.

I have a few disciples, but I’m not willing to share any of their names currently.

Even after all this time, I still do not understand my other form. Since Arceus informed me that I am the only two-formed being from another universe in our universe, He gifted me this odd device. He told me that here I may communicate with people from other universe and ask for assistance without risk to my identity here.

I hope to speak with you all more personally soon! Perhaps you can help me with my situation.

Alwin comes from the universe of Monster Hunter. Themes of both human and animal?(/pokemon/monster/monstie) violence and death will all be present. It won’t be a main feature of the blog, unlike other tws here, but it is part of the “lore”.

There are also heavy religious themes, both Christian and otherwise. (Think Greek mythology.) If this makes you uncomfortable, this is not the blog for you. Alwin will constantly speak of being afraid of Arceus.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 fanfiction. Because I may or may not be simping for Alwin. (Also, my character is a male because I simply like the male armor sets way more)

This goofy Wyverian loves cats, that’s the biggest green flag in my book. Also I love his quote at Lulucion city, he says something among the lines of “Does everyone here has that… a sense of humor?!” with a goofy ah surprised Pikachu face and it made me laugh so loud lmfao I love Alwin, he is so goofy.

Also, I know post game he isn’t the best pick out of the NPC characters to accompany me gameplay wise, but man… Alwin and Shaulk are so awesome I can’t help but love them and want to have them around with me after the grand adventure was over 😭 like, seriously, ever since I had to part ways with him I thought “damn he’s so cool! I want to have him in my party again eventually!” ALSO his kinship animation with Shaulk is so cool like AAAAAAAH and his voice is 😳😳😳 damn (at least in Japanese, idk about the english voice because I haven’t heard it lol)

(Also also, why the flying fuck did they choose fucking Congalala for the ice region?! Isn’t there an artic monkey in the Monster Hunter games called Blango or Blangonga or something?! It would’ve been so much better than the pink stink-bomb monkey 😭😭😭😭 if I could delete a monster from this game it would be Congalala, I hate that thing)

their eyes start off a bright red, with Honeydew Melon green hair, several years before finding out their beloved granfather passed away, his Rathalos returning to its position as Island Guardian. Age 7-14

Meleni roughly about midway through the story, the growing Bond with Eiwyn and Babydoll are beginning to appear. Their hair is beginning to lighten, and the stress and anxiety over the weight of the responsibility for the potential chaos that would occur if Eiwyn really does have the Wings of Ruin makes them almost an entirely different person. Meleni avoids fighting alongside Eiwyn for a time, instead using a white Monoblos named Noble. Their sclera have a slight blue tint to them, and their right iris has already shifted to a bright green. Age 15-17

Meleni towards the end of the main story. They've fully accepted Eiwyn again, their body changing to match their Bond. Pale blue sclera, left iris a brighter blue with a red-ringed pupil, right iris a bright green with no pupil but a red reflection when light is shone in their eyes. the clarity of Meleni's vision hasnt changed, but what specifically they can sense has. Sharper teeth and even sharper instincts honed by their experiences no child should have gone through. has an unusually high pain tolerance and doesnt realise that healthy people dont visit the Hot Springs three times a week. Age 18-22

Making my own versions of the partner Monsties, Part 1, featuring: Shaulk (I wish I had his little head armor)

Alwin's had Shaulk for a quite a long while now. Don't let his age fool you though—Shaulk's still plenty fast, and more than capable of sharp turns and plunging dives at a moment's notice. A keen eye for sudden movement further makes him a formidable guardian of the village. A lightweight body and plenty of experience means that he glides effortlessly through the air, expending minimal energy.

Although he's certainly matured with the years, and frequently matches Alwin's own taciturn personality, Shaulk maintains a thrill for the chase that he's had ever since he was a fledgling. His specialty is to deter potential threats from the village with sweeping blasts of cold and clever manipulations of ice, covering a wide reach. For those more persistent intruders, Shaulk has a wicked dive bomb, and prefers to take the initiative in striking.

Moveset:

Freezing Burst — a sweeping blast of cold wind, packing considerable punch from an aggressive beat of deceptively delicate wings. Offers a wide range of deterrence while also keeping Shaulk on the wing. A favorite opener.

Silver Blast — a big breath of ice, made worse with added wind pressure from his beating wings.

Icicle Terror — generates and launches icicles over a large patch of ground. Cleaning them up is kind of a pain, though.

Cold Blast — gusts of cold air kicked up generally from his comings and goings. Shaulk uses sharp twists and turns to control where he sends them.

Vengeful Ice Drill — how fast can he spin? Very fast. The large amount of torque generated makes this a nasty finisher.

Sonic Strike T — a no-nonsense, fast and furious strike. Sharp talons and a hooked beak makes it hard to fend off.

Trivia:

Unfairly pretty in flight and absolutely knows it. A bit vain, actually.

Extremely popular with the village Paolumu. Uses it to his advantage to nap in a cloud of fluff. Alwin has long since given up trying to understand this.

His head armor was commissioned as a congratulatory gift on Alwin's ascent to the leader of Rutoh's guard. It matches the headdress that Alwin received at his own coming of age ceremony.

Shaulk's original head armor was actually damaged in an encounter with a rage-rayed Tigrex. However, Shaulk had been due a re-sizing anyway, so at least there was some silver lining to the incident.

Explain time:

Yes! I got into monster hunter! But only monster hunter stories, i finished 2 but not 1 so please do not spoil me, so basically this is my Monster hunter stories 2 au of the arsism au (its not only pokemon anymore), so basically the protagonist is Vyffor, the lil strange-looking novabeast, basically it goes that way: this takes some years later after the events of the Pokemon xenoverse au, Vakuum still didn’t got an answer to his question, how come a mortal can have such a big & meaningful effects on someone? Specially a god like him (cuz Sorrel made him change for good), so he said “hm, this world of monsters & humans seems like its gonna have a new threat coming, why not testing it by overpowering a random mortal?”, so he basically blessed Vyffor with his power (which caused him to look like him), but despite that, Vyffor didn’t really had the best life out there, as you can see in the beginning, Vyffor sitting by the window for days, slowly getting sad & saying “Red?….”, he was waiting for his grandfather, who was the only one available to take care of him, but little did he know that Red was killed by a Nergigante (when he was 2 years old, he’s currently 13), as the other frame shows, “Homeless, moneyless, lonely, bullied, orphan, unhealthy, trauma, phobia of Kayna”, he was homeless for the entire main story & its prior events, he had no money to afford even food, he was lonely, he lived in the streets all alone, he was unhealthy because he lived in poor conditions & always had to eat from the trash, he is orphan (well, spoilers, later on his parents, Sivan & Sam, comes back after they long vacation, they just didn’t knew that Red, Sam’s daddy, died), he has trauma from both his rough past & his entire traumatic moments of his journey (like Oltura, everytime he almost died, Losi getting kidnapped, getting taken by force to Lulucion), Phobia of Kayna, while Kayna means well, she’s very rough with him ever since he was small, and he’s a big softie, so that causes him a fear as he sees her as a threat, bullied, he was bullied all his childhood, although when he started his journey nobody dared to bully him anymore cuz he had his monsties to protect him & they had no monsties nor weapons, so basically during his journey he met some new friends & even few enemies (like Zellard & his cult),

he met Avinia, Kyle, Cheval, Orgo (not shown here), Tsukino, Navirou, Ena, Vakuum (first met in a vision of Vyffor), Lilia (not shown here), Reverto (not shown here), Alwin (not shown here), he also befriended new monsties, Losi (same as the actual story, by hatching him from an egg from Ena), Lil Kitten (Nargacuga took from the nest of a dead Nargacuga), Kadachi (tobi-kadachi after slaying an hostile tobi-kadachi, he found Kadachi as a baby, all weak & starving to death so he took him with him), Dylan (Lagiacrus, that moment where the crew had to fight a Lagiacrus so the Lagiacrus was about to kill Vyffor until Dylan came out of nowhere & fucked the Lagiacrus up & joined Vyffor), Palamute (got an dragon palamute egg as a gift from Kyle when he wanted to confess to Vyffor so instead of a diamond ring he gave him a Palamute egg thinking its much cheaper but he had to buy a lot of better equipment so no, not really Kyle), Mizu (Mizutsune, Basically, when the crew were about to leave the Porome garden, Vyffor saw a Green Nargacuga killing a Mizutsune & trying to kill Mizu/its son so he saved Mizu & ran away without slaying the green nargacuga), Losi was the closest monstie to Vyffor that Vyffor owns, Vyffor views Losi as his big brother, although sometimes treats him like his child, without Losi Vyffor will go on scared-feral mode & will freak out, his relationship with the characters are: Kayna is like his predator in his view until some events after the main story (my own postgame events), where they’re simply friends, he sees Lilia as his aunt (specially after when he realises his parents are her childhood friends), she knows it & really likes that, Kyle & Vyffor are literally boyfriends, Vyffor sees Avinia kinda like his mommy, she knows it, she thinks its cute (specially because he’s a furry & he’s very cute-looking), but never comments on it, Vyffor’s relationship with Cheval is basically a father & son, Cheval even adopts Vyffor at a certain point in my exclusive post-game events, it wasn’t that hard for Cheval, after all, he raised Sivan (the mhs1 protagonist + Vyffor’s mamma) ever since she was 1 years old, so why would Vyffor be a challenge? Cheval is also really protective over lil Vyffor, Reverto & Vyffor are simply friends, Navirou & Vyffor are really good friends, Vyffor might sometimes cuddle him in his sleep, Orgo & Vyffor are also simply friends, Tsukino is really close to Vyffor because of his relationship with Kyle, exactly like Navirou, Ena is also kinda like Vyffor’s mommy figure (yes, 2 mommy figures & 1 daddy figure, totally normal), Alwin is very protective over Vyffor because of him being Red’s grandson, Vakuum really loves Vyffor mainly because he was the key to the answer to his question, How can a mortal have such a big affects on someone or something? Even mortals are meaningful, only because they aren’t some powerful beings that can create & destroy stuff with simple fingers snap doesn’t mean they’re weak & useless, they’re strong in their own ways, and he saw something really special in Vyffor as well, and thats it i guess

Hey there!

As promised, here’s Orion hunter with his companions (all of them are female) : Hoshi the cohoot, Mamorigami the palamute and Fely the Palico. I’ll color this later and I’ll add more drawings of him with his weapon. He also has face paints : a blue flame on his left eye and a yellow claw mark on his nose. He also has a scar across his face and his chest (hidden by the bandage he often wears) he got when he fought Ibushi and Narwa when she became the Allmother.

For a little bit more, read down below:

Orion started his training with his best friend Utsushi at Kamura at a very young age and became a hunter when he turned around 15 years old. He’d take on missions with Reverto, Hinoa and Minoto most of the time but also with riders from Mahana and Rutoh he was close to like Kayna and Alwin.

His favorite weapon is the long sword even though he’s willing to use any weapon depending on the situation. He met Fely at Kamura when she came to deliver some message from the Royal scriveners and she stayed with him ever since. Mamorigami and Hoshi are both born in Kamura and they loved Orion the moment they saw him so they became part of his team as well.

Orion may be a hunter, but he doesn’t slay them as often as you’d expect. He’d rather capture them and kills them only if necessary.

Hello !

Comme promis, voici un dessin d’Orion en tant que chasseur avec ses compagnons (ce toutes des filles) : Hoshi l’hibouette, Mamorigami le chumskt et Fely le palico. Je colorierais ça plus tard et j’y ajouterais d’autres dessins où il utilise son arme. Il a des peintures faciales : une flamme bleue sur son œil gauche et une marque de griffe jaune sur son nez. Il a aussi une cicatrice lui traversant le visage et le torse (cette dernière étant caché par le bandage qu’il porte souvent) qu’il a eu lors du dernier combat contre Ibushi et Narwa quand elle est devenue la Mère de tous.

Orion a commencé à s’entraîner dés son plus jeune âge avec son meilleur ami Utsushi à Kamura et il est devenu chasseur à l’âge de 15 ans. Il a fait de nombreuses quêtes avec Reverto, Hinoa et Minoto la plupart du temps mais aussi avec des riders de Mahana ou encore de Rutoh dont il était proche comme Kayna et Alwin.

Son arme préférée est la longue épée/le katana mais il est près à utiliser n’importe quelle arme selon la situation. Il a rencontré Fely à Kamura quand cette dernière est venue délivrée un message venant des Scribes Royaux et elle est restée avec lui depuis. Hoshi et Mamorigami sont toutes les deux nées à Kamura et ont adorées le jeune chasseur dés qu’elle l’ont vu. Elles ont donc très vite rejoins son équipe.

Orion est peut être un chasseur, mais il n’extermine pas autant de monstres qu’il n’y parait. Il préfère les capturer et ne les tue que si nécessaire.

like it does have difference from the witcher and it focuses on a single reading of a single part of the witcher and "magically enhanced monster hunter" wasnt invented by the witcher so i think i would be in the clear. i think i'd be able to write it and make rodrick and alwin their own guys, even if it is kind of like geraskier but publishable. but i wanna make rodrick his own dude, surlier and quieter than geralt(canon geralt not fanon geralt) and i think for alwin i might actually remove some of the womanizing not because i think jaskier needs sanitizing in a ripoff novel but because i think it maybe wouldnt aid the different direction the inspired by character is taking. like i think i'd make him more hungry for fame, and struggling to get his name out there. also i need to make a world for them to live in

i like the idea of an older language like elder, but i think mine would be latin-based moreso because i like the idea of the monster hunters being called "venator", meaning "hunter", because i have a whole scene with latin word meanings planned out in my head that could turn out really cool i think
