Closed Starter (Forgiven Secrets & Friends): Recovery
Violet stands next to the crib, watching Bee sleep with a soft smile. The last thing she wants to do is leave her daughter, but she needs to bring Daniel home. She'll be home soon, and then Bee will have both her parents here for her. They'll finally get to be a family together.
Stiles slips in the room with a bag full of everything she'll need for this mission. He gives her another moment before he holds it out to her. "You ready to go?" His voice is quiet, to keep from waking the other people in the house.
She looks up at him and nods, gently rubbing her thumb against the tattoo on the back of her other hand before she reaches out and takes the bag from him. With one last look to her daughter, she takes a deep breath and follows Stiles out of the bedroom.
They both slip back out into the hallway, doing their best to stay absolutely silent as they make their way to the door. Everyone wants to keep Violet here to rest and recover first, but none of them understand that she won't be able to until she gets him back. She pauses when she finally notices someone else waiting for them. "Are you gonna try and stop me?"

Stiles Malloy lights up when he sees their Joe and then just grins at his sister. "It's my job to touch the weird shit. And Joe's here too, so it's not like I'm the only one." He makes his way over to Joe, taking in the whole of the room as he does. "What is going on? Do we know?
Sebastian goes down about the same time Melinda does, sinking to the floor and pressing his hand to his forehead.
Stiles and Perry Dinkley both reach to relinquish their lighters to their respective twin, but pause when the Pollari's migraines start.
Ozwell Lolliberry starts looking for Joe's bag, not sure if it even made it through the cracks with them all. If it didn't, and they don't have any migraine medication, he's sure this world's Ozwell will more than likely have something stashed in the upstairs loft if he's anything like his Laurian.

Lolliberry throws something at his own prince, pouting slightly to him as well.
Ozwell catches the pillow thrown by Laurian and holds onto it for a moment, before adding it to the pile of random throwable objects sitting next to him. He looks up at Laurian and smiles softly. “I love you.”
Perry nods at Daniel’s comment. “Yeah, yeah she is.”
Stiles thinks about it for a moment and scrunches his eyebrows. “I don’t know how much it actually has to do with anything, but weren’t Meredith and Ciri having some sort of relationship issues over her magic a while back?”
About that time, Stiles Malloy comes tumbling out of a nearby crack, landing on a heap on the floor. He springs back up a moment later. “I’m up, I’m up!” Taking in the rest of the group, his eyes go wide and he nods slowly. “Okay, weird…” He doesn’t think he took anything hallucinogenic, but this is spooky, even for him.
@bxrn-thc-pxgcs
“Oh, buddy, it’s okay,” Gray Joe cooed, pulling Nova in for a hug. He glared at Sylvia for a moment before returning his attention to his friend.
Blue Joe jumped, then breathed a heavy sigh of relief. “Finally, someone I can talk to. Welcome to the party, Stiles.”
“This is getting weirder by the second,” Red Joe sighed.
Sam sighed, letting Sylvia hug him, trying his best to calm down. He didn’t want to think about it. That there was a Nova out there who grew up like him.
@nxttheendxfthestxry
Laurian sighs, smiling softly at his boyfriend. “I love you, too. Still. Not the time.”
Sylvia glares at Gray Joe again, feeling herself getting heated, trying to force herself to relax and rubbing Sam’s back gently. She glances up at what her brother says, eyebrows furrowing. She yelps at the arrival of yet… another Stiles, apparently. Oh. Great. More–
Following after him but at least somehow landing on her feet, Sylvia Malloy dusts herself off, whirling on her brother before she even processes the situation. “I told you not to touch it!”
Sighing, she looks around, pausing and frowning. “…huh.”
–bullshit, Sylvia finishes the thought to herself with a heavy sigh. “Because of course it keeps getting weirder.”
Melinda hums, nodding an acknowledgement to the new arrivals before turning back to the conversation abruptly. “That definitely seems relevant, Stiles. Fighting ho-ah–OW!”
She closes her eyes and ducks her head, her hand coming up to her forehead with a whine, sinking to the floor. Laurian jumps slightly, glancing around for her bag reflexively, knowing from Sylvia she keeps migraine pills in it.

Closed Starter (Stiles/Adelphia): The Date Night
Stiles double checks everything is perfect. He's not the best cook by any means, and about the only thing he can make really well is diner food. But he tries his best to do something fancy, and the results looked... Good. He thinks.
The table is set, the lighting is dim but not too dim. They should have the place to themselves tonight. It's going to be a good date. He smiles when he hears a knock on the door, heading over and opening it with anxious excitement. "Wow. Hi. I missed you."

It took a good 10 to 15 minutes but eventually she did find the batting cages. She took a deep breathe and went up to Stiles' car and gently knocked on the window.
@mysteriousangels
Stiles sighs and rolls down the window when she knocks. He looks like he's been trying his best not to cry, doing his best to stay composed. "Do you want to sit and talk, or do you want to go inside?"

Sylvia brushes a lock of dark hair from her face. Smiling, she waits for her brother to answer the knock at the door. He's first in a long line of people to see, as much as she wants to just go home. "Sorry to bother. I'm looking for a Bunny?"
Stiles got the message, same as everyone, and he's been waiting for them all to get back. He rushes to the door when he hears the knock, barely letting her get the words out before he's pulling her into a hug. Even with the dyed hair, he'd recognize his sister in a heartbeat. "You found him. Thank god you're home."

Stiles glances at Adelphia and offers her a reassuring smile. He has some idea of what those insecurities are, and he'll make sure to talk to her about it later. When they're not dealing with this crisis.
Yarrow nods to Anthony, and starts trying to come up with his own small things he can do. "It's a better plan than nothing. We start with the smaller things and work our way into getting her to connect with the big emotional moments."
@mysteriousangels
Yarrow speeds into the cottage, barely coming to a stop once he gets through the door. "Someone tell me she's okay. Please." - ( @storystartsanew )
"Okay is not the word I would use in this situation. Considering Lena is a novice witch and this spell is complicated and requires a bit of a connection with the person spelled. Wait who are you?" Carrie asked, a little confused on who invited and what his relationship with the situation. She glanced at Anthony to see if he knew.

"Hey, glad you haven't left yet. I need to tell you something. Now, before I lose my nerve and what little rebellious streak I apparently still have." -Daniel, to Stiles
Stiles scrunches his eyebrows slightly and sets his keys back down. "What's up? Is everything okay?" Looking at the look on Daniel's face, he holds back the comment he wants to ask. Making that joke right now might not be the best idea.

❝...❞ -Sylvia/Stiles (it's inevitable)
Stiles raises his eyebrows slightly and chuckles, shaking his head. He shrinks down a couple inches to be more her height and scrunches his eyebrows sternly. "Fuck you. I don't need to rest, I'm fine. But everyone else needs to take care of themselves, or I'm gonna chase them around with a boot and beat them with it."

"No, that's- that's about it." Stiles runs a hand through his hair and stops pacing. "I just. I need to go talk to her."
Stiles shows up to the batting cages with a sense of apprehension and dread. Seeing Devora, he waves and walks over. "Would you like to explain to me why you're vaguely threatening to murder me in the group chat before you actually do it?"
- ( @storystartsanew )
Devora was focused intensively on batting when she heard someone walking up. Stepping out of the cages, she smiled widely and held onto her bat. She then gasped dramatically, “threaten you?! Please, Stiles, must you think so low of me? I would never threaten you.” She said, her smile turning a bit sickening, “I’m simply promising that if you don’t answer my questions about my closest friend, we may have a few issues!” Her smile completely disappearing, she motioned for Stiles to sit down on the bench

❝...❞ -Daniel/Stiles
Violet looks over at Stiles and grins. "Best Daniel impersonation, Go."
Stiles doesn't even think, just looks at her with puppy dog eyes. "Yes, ma'am."
They stare at each other for a moment, before Violet finally breaks out laughing. "Please never do that again, I beg you."
Stiles shakes his head and chuckles. "Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure I just threw up in my mouth a little. I'm so sorry."

Closed Starter (Stiles/Violet/Daniel): Moving In
Violet pulls up in a small truck. She doesn't have a whole lot of possessions she needs to move, but there is something surprisingly nice about having enough that it requires a specific trip to move everything. She gets out of the vehicle and smiles, pulling down the hatch of the truck.
Stiles rushes out of the house, rolling his eyes. "Hey, hey! You're not supposed to be doing heavy lifting."
Violet sighs and chuckles. "I'm pregnant, not an invalid!"

Closed Starter: Sold You Out
Violet glares at Stiles. He's up to something. She doesn't know what, and she doesn't like it. Darla's a big girl who can handle herself, but she can't help but be worried. Especially with this information looming in the background. She looks to Sylvia for a moment before raising an eyebrow to Stiles as if to ask ‘you ready?’ It’s only the three of them here. They’re not going to get another chance.
Stiles bounces his leg nervously. He's more than a little scared of Violet right now. If she finds out what they're up to, he's a dead man. But right now he can't focus on that. Right now he needs to focus on his sister. Sylvia needs to know about the fact that Cathedral sold her out. He takes a deep breath and looks over at her. He nods slightly before taking a deep breath. "We need to talk. We found some intel about-” He pauses for a second. It’s still hard for him to talk about, the guilt that he wasn’t there for her coming back in full force as he thinks about it. “-about what happened to you.”
Violet holds out her computer for Sylvia to look at as he says it. She has the orders, however she found them, that show what Cathedral did, jumping in as he starts to choke up. "Here, you should look at these."

Double Para: Protection
Stiles waits till they're alone in Sylvia's living room. He pulls out the box of condoms from his bag and chucks them at Violet's head without warning. Her hand is up and catching them without even looking up from her laptop.
When she does look up, it's with an incredulous look. "What the fuck, Stiles?" She looks at the box for a second before she realizes what they are. Looking back at him, her eyes are wide with confusion and concern.
Stiles laughs and shakes his head. "I'm making sure you two stay safe. Someone's got to, because neither of you seem capable of it."
Violet's eyes sharpen into something deadly, and he has to remind himself that she won't actually kill him. He hopes. "I'm not sure I know what you mean."
"I mean," he clears his throat, "that I know. About you and your little boy toy. Which is gross and I will never be saying those words outloud again." He cringes slightly to himself.
She sets the box down gingerly and takes a deep breath, her entire demeanor deadly calm. "If you ever. And I mean ever say anything to anyone, I will eviscerate you and feed you your organs until you choke. Do you understand me?"
Stiles nods, his own eyes gone wide with fear. "Understood. But seriously, you're towing a dangerous line here, Violet. The hickeys need to stop or you're going to get both of you into a shitload of trouble."
She takes a deep breath and nods, relaxing slightly. "I know. It was a fun game while it lasted, though. I'll make an effort to be more... discreet."
He lets out a small breath of relief when she relaxes. "Thank you. It was getting weird having people come in to see the guy with the hickeys, I swear."
“You’re welcome.” She laughs at that and just shakes her head, grabbing the condoms and putting them in her own bag before someone walks in and sees them. “And Stiles?”
He hums in response.
She looks at him with a straight face. “Please don’t become my condom dealer.”
They look at each other for a moment before absolutely losing it laughing.

Para: The Baby
CW: Childbirth
Violet can’t stay at The Last Chapter for much longer. The noise and the fighting, along with the discomfort of being almost about to give birth is too much for her. She taps her pattern lightly on her stomach as she tries to breathe.
Stiles looks over to her with a worried expression. He knows it can’t be easy, and it’s weird that Daniel’s not back yet. With a soft sigh, he gets up and walks over to her. “You need to go home? I’m pretty sure our place is still standing. I can take you.”
Violet looks up at him with a grateful nod. “God, yes. Thank you.”
Stiles just smiles and shakes his head, holding his hands out for her to pull herself up. “Yeah, yeah, no problem. Just text Daniel, so he doesn’t come back here and freak out when you’re not.”
With a bit of help, she gets herself standing and begins to head for the door. She says her goodbyes quickly, with promises that she’ll be back soon, she just needs a break from all of the chaos.
They make it back to their place before the contractions start. She winces and braces herself against the doorway, breathing through the pain. “Time?”
Stiles rattles off the time without question before he looks back. He quickly makes it back over to her, to help her more fully inside. “Oh shit, is it time?”
They reach the couch in the living room, and he helps her sit down. She’s trying to act like it doesn’t hurt, but she still curls into the couch cushions a bit.
“It’s gettin’ there.”
“What do you need?”
She just holds up a hand for a moment, breathing through the pain until it starts to pass. “Okay. We need to time how long it takes to the next one. In the meantime, my hospital go bag is in my closet. And call Daniel, he’s not answering my texts.”
Stiles nods and pulls his phone out while he heads towards her room. He dials the number and holds it up to his ear so that he can search through her closet. It rings and rings and rings. Finally, Daniel’s voice comes through the speaker. "You've reached Violet's husband. Leave a message."
“Damnit. Answer your phone.” Stiles whispers before the message is over. The tone beeps for him to leave a message. “Dude, where are you? Violet started having contractions. I don’t think we’re in the weeds yet, but you need to get home.”
He finds the bag pretty quickly, chuckling softly at the little label on the side “Violet’s hospital bag.” She really must have idiot proofed everything. He grabs it and starts to head back to her but pauses for a moment. With a small sigh, he turns around and grabs Daniel’s pillow off the bed as well. Wherever he is, this will have to do until he gets back.
Violet cocks her head slightly when she looks at the coffee table. A business card rests on top of a stack of books that wasn’t there before. A sense of dread fills her as she reaches out for it, uncurling herself from the couch in order to grab it.
No. No.
He can’t be gone. Not now, not when she needs him the most, the one moment she can’t save him.
Stiles comes out of the bedroom in time to see the card drop from her hand as she begins to sink onto the floor. He drops the bag and rushes towards her. “Hey, hey, woah. What’s going on? Another contraction?”
She shakes her head silently, gesturing to the card fallen haphazardly on the ground. He picks it up with furrowed brows. “MacLeod Computer Repairs?”
“Sean. He took him.” She barely gets the words out, a strangled sob right on its heels as she buries her face in Stiles’ chest. Stiles’ eyes go wide for a moment as the realization hits, Ewan MacLeod, better known as Sean Kent Davis. Daniel’s father left them a calling card, and Daniel was nowhere to be found. Fuck. He pulls her close, holding onto her tightly.
She sobs until her next contraction hits. The pain helps her focus, at least enough to stop crying. She can do this. She’s going to have this baby, and then she’s going to save him. They just need a plan.
When the contractions get too consistent, Stiles makes her stop, physically pulling the computer out of her hands. “We’ll find him. You will find him. But we need to get you to the hospital first, okay? I love you. I’m not delivering my niece.”
It’s enough to make her chuckle, even if halfheartedly. She lets go of the computer and takes the help offered to stand. He grabs everything they need while she waddles to the car, breathing through the pain of yet another contraction. “Hold on, Bee. I know, you want to come out, but you’ve gotta wait just a bit longer, okay?”
They make it to the hospital rather quickly, and before she knows it, Stiles is pulling up in front of the emergency entrance and helping her get set into a wheelchair. Another contraction hits as she sits down, and she grabs his hand before he can move to leave. He stops and squeezes her hand back, gently rubbing her back with his other hand. “Hey, hey, it’s okay. I need to go move my car. I’ll come find you the moment I’m parked.”
She doesn’t want him to leave. She doesn’t want to be alone. After everything she’s faced, this is the scariest thing she’s ever done. No one ever prepared her for this. And with Daniel gone, she needs someone to be here with her. Someone she trusts.
Sadie sets another earthquake victim on a gurney for the emergency staff to take inside and treat. She’s been working nonstop with search and rescue since this whole thing started. It’s the only way she knows how to feel useful. Before she can run off to go rejoin her team, she sees Stiles and Violet, in the middle of the pull up area, Daniel nowhere to be found. That’s… concerning. She sees Violet grab his hand and not let go, and that’s what makes her decide to rush over. “I can take you inside, stay with you until he’s done parking, okay?”
Violet looks up at Sadie hesitantly for a moment. She is about the last person Violet wants to be with right now. She wants her family. She wants Daniel. But that’s not going to happen. She takes a deep breath to calm herself down, and lets go of Stiles’ hand.
He looks between the two of them for a moment before he nods. “Ten minutes, max. I’ll be right back.”
Violet just nods and sighs softly. Sadie gives her a reassuring squeeze and begins to wheel her in the hospital. They make it into Labor & Delivery, set up in a room to wait while a nurse comes to check on her every so often.
Sadie hasn’t left her side since Violet told her Daniel isn’t coming. There was an anger in her eyes, a wrathful fury, when Violet explained why. Something in that moment, seeing her own need to protect and avenge him reflected back at her, makes her want Sadie to stay. Especially when Stiles steps out of the room to start making phone calls, letting everyone know where she is and what’s going on.
She tries to stay strong, breathing through the contractions, letting the pain flow through her, just like she’s always done. But, god, it hurts. The latest contraction finally breaks her. She rolls over onto her side and sobs. She can’t do this. She can’t. Not without him here.
Sadie holds her for just a moment, before she bends down to meet Violet’s eyes. “Hey. Look at me. Look at me.”
Violet shakes her head, but finally meets her gaze.
“You are Violet Lincoln. You don’t run from a fight. You don’t give up. You are one of the strongest people I know. And hey, hey.” Sadie gently wipes tears and sweat from her face. “I know he’s not here. I know there are a lot of things out there that we can’t control right now. But this… this we can do. Okay?”
Violet looks up at her with wide, terrified eyes, but something steels inside of her as she listens to Sadie talk. She can do this. She has to do this.
She sits up to shift for the doctors to get her ready for delivery. Sadie hops up on the hospital bed behind her as she does, pulling her gently back against her. She strokes her hair softly, and gives her a comforting smile. “Let’s have this baby.”
Violet screams as she pushes. It’s brutal, and one of the hardest things she’s ever done, but less than an hour later, she’s laying back in bed and holding her little girl. She’s still a little bit out of it, extremely exhausted, but she won’t let go of her baby until she absolutely has to. Her baby. Her Bee. She smiles softly and crinkles her nose at the wrinkly little baby in her arms.
Sadie gives her arm a gentle squeeze from where she’s sitting, now back in her seat next to the bed. “I should go. Let me know when you’re going after him. I want to come with you.”
Violet nods slightly, about to protest when Stiles knocks on the door and steps in the room. Sadie slips out past him and the two share a brief nod, something close to understanding, as they pass each other. He looks back at Violet, the biggest grin on his face when he sees Bee. “Hey, the nurses finally told me I could come back in. How’re you both doing?”
Violet smiles at him, her eyes shining with mostly happy tears. “We’re good. Come here. Come meet your niece.”
He walks further into the room, taking Sadie’s place next to her bedside. She holds Bee out just a little, just enough for him to actually see her. “Beatrice Nicole Lincoln. We decided on the name a while back.”
He smiles and coos at her, his own tears starting to form. Daniel should be here for this. Looking back up at her, he knows it’s all she’s thinking too. “She’s perfect.”
Violet reaches out and grabs his hand, looking at him earnestly. “You’ll take care of her, right? While I’m gone. We shouldn’t be gone long, but… I need you to take care of her.”
Stiles just nods and squeezes her hand. “Of course. I’ll protect her with my life. You go bring him home.”
