#spock calmy counting down the room about to get bombed made me actually laugh out loud at work 😔 another day another embarassment#gemini was really good though!!#usually when i read trek books i get bored with the new characters but this one didnt have enough of them! the princes were woefully unused#and kirks nephew wasnt rlly in it but when he was it was nice. he was mostly there to get kidnapped lol#and the ENDING. talk about buzzkill.#dont worry guys kirk figures it out off screen and then spends three pages explaining it to everyone gathered in a room#bruh#spock mind melds with the two princes at ONCE and they dont even go over it? it happens off screen?#i forget what the book version of off screen is#overall the way the plot wrapped up was lame#but the stort otherwise was fun!#uhura got the conn! like multiple times! scotty and sulu and chekov all in it kickin around#lt barrows and sinclair i liked#altho the princes consort was kinda borng#BORING*#tbh tho it’s a recommend just for the kirk and mccoy and spock shenanigans#i love them#tos#captain’s log#trek books#i love when mccoy and spock unionize
