Plarn! Plastic yarn made from strips of plastic grocery bags. I learned about this from my mother's mother when she made some pretty flowered bags and crate padding for the dogs. This is a great material to make re-usable shopping bags, pet beds(just rinse and you're done!), bed rolls(great insulation for the outdoors), braided cords, etc. Part of me is glad it took me so long to get this many bags, but another part likes free yarn. Haha. That grapefruit sized ball is from dozens of bags that otherwise could've gone to landfills. Recycling doesn't have to be boring. Find your creative side and keep resources in circulation. After I spin it and ply it, I'll probably make a bag.
