This really spoke to me. Something I make no apology for on this blog is sharing stuff about the times when Christmas - when winter in general - is difficult. Because it is for a lot of us, and the experience of trying to celebrate a bit differently is sometimes less visible between the twin narrative poles of mainstream commercial excess, and just ignoring the whole business to do your own thing on 25th December. Sometimes the good times are haunted by the bad, and the things we love and still want to be able to enjoy are just really hard. This is about those times.
