Book recommendations with 'Powerful Male Lead X sweet soft Female lead' dynamic

You know how some readers are into those Cold ML X Soft FML dark romance stories? Well, count me in! I have some recommendations for you. Please let me know if you have any recommendations as well.

Let's get into characters.

Male lead: I'm all about those tales where the guy's got this intense, possessive streak, loaded with cash and power. He's got this whole vibe, this aura that screams power. Everyone's shaking in their boots around him. But here's the twist: he's icy to everyone except for this one girl.

Female lead: She's the complete opposite—soft, sweet, not into playing the tough card. And you know what? I'm not into it when she tries those cringey, embarrassing stunts to outsmart him. No thanks. I'm more into the submissive kink, where she's polite but definitely not stupid. Smart, knows when to use her brain.

It's like this delicate balance between power and innocence, dominance and submission. Alright, for all my fellow readers of the "Cold Powerful Male Lead X Sweet Female Lead" trope:

When She Unravels by Gabrielle Sands (My favourite female lead. Mafia romances can feel repetitive/overdone. This felt fresh and different to me. The plot was interesting and I enjoyed Vale. She’s exactly how I like my fmc in a Mafia romance. Sure, she was a caged princess but she had a backbone and stood up for herself.)

—Tú —susurro y deslizo las palmas de las manos por su espalda hasta llegar a su duro culo—. ¿Y soy tu dueña, Tore?

No contesta de inmediato, sino que sigue penetrándome hasta que mis paredes se cierran en torno a su polla y vuelvo a correrme con su ritmo castigador. Baja la cabeza, besa mi hombro y me susurra al oído.

—Me temo que sí, Milene. —Pega sus labios a los míos y me penetra al mismo tiempo, llenándome de su esperma caliente.

Actualización puntual - Estoy: viciada

¿Hola? ¿Podemos hablar de lo increíble que es Neva Altaj? Empecé la saga “Perfectly Imperfect” con “Pecados Oscuros”, sí, empecé la saga con el noveno libro de la saga. Así soy, no pasa nada, todo ok. La saga gira en torno a la mafia (italiana, rusa…), evidentemente tiene romance, un toque de spicy, violencia… Pero, aunque las relaciones son algo disfuncionales a ratitos, no me han hecho saltar las alarmas -en general-. La lectura se hace muy rápida, enganchan muchísimo y es fácil entrar en la historia.

Una vez acabé “Pecados Oscuros”, pasé a leer “Mentiras Silenciosas”, el octavo libro de la saga. Quién pensase que leería el resto de libros en el orden correcto y sensato evidentemente no me conoce. Escogí el libro básicamente por la puntuación de Goodreads, algo que no siempre se tiene que tener en cuenta porque cada una tiene sus gustos y preferencias. Pero esta vez la elección fue súper acertada, me gustó muchísimo más que “Pecados Oscuros”. Enamorada de Drago y enamorada de Sienna. Necesito ser amiga de esa señora y que me ayude a tener un vestuario como el suyo. Ojalá tener esa confianza.

Para continuar decidí ir a “Caricias Robadas”, el quinto libro de la saga, básicamente porque los protagonistas de este libro salían en el octavo. Sentí curiosidad, así que ea, pa’lante. Por ahora es el libro de la saga que menos me ha gustado, me agobiaba bastante la relación de los protagonistas. No diré nada más.

Mi intención era continuar con la Saga Blackwater, pero pff, se me torcieron los planes por culpa de Neva Altaj y sus historias. No passa pas res, en algún punto necesitaré un descanso del tema mafia, así que iré alternando entre ambas sagas.

De momento me he empezado “Cicatrices Marcadas”, ahora sí el primer libro de la saga. Intentando hacer las cosas bien, mejor tarde que nunca.

Puntuaciones que di en Goodreads:

“Pecados Oscuros”, 3 estrellas.

“Mentiras Silenciosas”, 4 estrellas.

“Caricias Robadas”, 3 estrellas.

Lectura actual: “Cicatrices Marcadas”.

PD: Sí, he sido capaz de leerme los tres libros en dos días, mi ritmo de lectura es un tema a no discutir, gracias.

PD2: Influye que he estado malita y he tenido mucho tiempo de reposo que he dedicado a leer.

If you wanna read something good, I would say the “Perfectly Imperfect” series by Neva Altaj is the best. The character building, character connection, plot… everything is on point. And you definitely want to read more. It's best if you read it in order.
