genuinely i would prefer more broadway stage adaptations at this point than live action remakes (that are like 75% or more cgi at this point anyway). at least some genuinely innovative artistry comes out of thise

#sasha speaks #srb #most of the time anyway #i think the development hell and subsequent lackluster reception of broadway frozen took its toll on disney and its planning #it doesn't escape my notice that no theater adaptations have happened since (outside of their cruises anyway which don't really count) 2018 #and frozen had an infamously long and troubled out of town development process #but what has disney only insisted on producing more and more of since then...live action remakes. hm?#also. they really went with moana next. my gd they are running out of beloved classics to remake already #they skipped over tangled tho. interesting. frozen i guess i get but tangled.#(part of me wants to think it's because they're applying brain cells to the antisemitic caricature that is mother gothel #but i'm not confident that's the case lol)
