ngl, all of them 💀 they all end with itafushi together and in love and like no deaths so like what is happier??

i guess i would say copy cat has the happiest ending just bc they are not in jjk verse and their families and friends are all alive and not traumatized or whatever yk

no i never have! i probably wouldn’t bc it seems like a lot to juggle and i only really have jjk brainrot, but maybe i would write a fic of saiki k and gojo interacting bc that sounds hilarious

YES I HAVE!! me and my friend @kentuckyfriedmegumi wrote the fic is it gay if our pinkies are intertwined together!! i had a dumbass idea and tess enabled me, and after 9 months (3 weeks) we birthed a beautiful baby fic <3 it was so fun writing tgth, our styles melded so well and i was able to outsource the kiss scene to her lol

i love tess and her writing so it was so great to work with her!! i thought co writing would be much harder but with her it was so easy and i would to do it again!! and there are so many authors i would love to collab with as well <33

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

itafushi!!! as you can tell. my entire ao3 account is basically a shrine to them

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

i have this reallyyyy good idea for an itfs fic that’s set 10 years in the future after itafushi goes no contact, and they are forced to be teachers tgth at jujutsu tech (at like 27/28 ish) super slowburn, super intense, lotssss of tension.

but it would definitely have to be multi chapter and i lowk swore off of multi chapters for the foreseeable future since they kinda stress me out so, we’ll see. might happen wayyyyyyy later but not anytime soon.

What are your writing strengths?

i would say my biggest strength is threading canon into alternate universes. ig that’s super fanfic specific but it’s usually my favorite part of writing, seeing how i can interpret them in diff universes, it’s SO fun!

also i think im pretty decent at humor. or well, i make myself laugh and thats all that matters, right?

What are your writing weaknesses?

i think description. i tend to be veryyyy dialogue focused when i write, because i can see the scenes playing out in my head, but that means when i go and fill in description im like. struggling to find words.

i also think my pacing tends to be reallly fast when i don’t mean it to be (see above for why..) andddddd i mix tenses up so often it’s criminal. editing is a bitch.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

hmmm i’m unfortunately monolingual. or technically i’m bilingual but in an obscure language my characters would never know so, prob no dialogue in other languages. i think it hits if done correctly though

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

LINK CLICK!! genuinely one of my favorite shows ever but i never got a chance to write for it. i kinda have a devious fic idea but ive been so swamped with school and use my writing time on jjk so i haven’t gotten the chance.

also i recently joined the link click gotcha for gaza so maybe that will kick start me into writing for them!!

oh wow this is hard. i think “think fast” is a really good contender, but i think my actual favorite fic is something that’s still in the works, hopefully to be released soon.

I love your post that has lines from different media pieces that fit Itafushi really well and I was wondering if you’ve read The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Because I cannot stop comparing Achilles and Patroclus with Megumi and Itadori.

Also how Patroclus and Achilles are compared to the moon and sun by fans and so are Megumi and Itadori. Achilles death being prophesy and Itadori basically a dead man walking.

yes! i do read tsoa!! makes me insane just thinking about it. listen. where should i even begin. at first, i was thinking megumi as achilles, simply bc he’s from a renowned clan, simply bc he was the one who said to patroclus when they heard about possibly joining the trojan war, “if you have to go, you know i will go with you.” and the fact that achilles only ever looks at patroclus, he does not care about anyone else. when patroclus died, red is all he sees. with patroclus gone, he does not care about the war anymore. it is only hector that he seeks. and that kind of violent rage, i can see that it can(?) stem out of megumi. and how he tried to fight sukuna to bring yuuji back in ep 5.

but after contemplating it much further, ur right as well. yuuji is achilles, and megumi patroclus. the violent devotion patroclus has for achilles mirrors what megumi has for yuuji. and the fact that yuuji, the boy that megumi loves, is on borrowed time too. when patroclus heard about the prophecy, about how achilles would die by the end, he was so grief-stricken and tried to stop him from danger etc and it reminds me, of how yuuji swallowed the first finger and megumi was all, “pls save him. its my personal feelings.” and on the first meeting too. like how big of an impact that was. its crazy to even think about it.

you have the big quotes that i equate with them as per the book! but also here’s my other favorites:

1) “[...] and i thought of how many nights i had lain awake in this room loving him in silence.”

2) “when he died, all things swift and beautiful and bright would be buried with him.”

3) “how much longer will he live?” “why? would u prepare urself for it? try to stop it?” “yes, if i can. please. please tell me.”

4) “in the huge hall, his beauty shone like a flame, vital and bright, drawing my eyes against my will.”

5) “and perhaps, it is the greater grief, after all, to be left on earth when another one is gone.”

the one theme i absolutely adore about itafushi is: the act of choosing. and how again, it mirrors achilles and patroclus. if patroclus cowers against thetis, he would leave achilles be. but he is afraid still, and he loves achilles fiercely, still. and how megumi knows now that sukuna might do sth to him, might harm him, but he still wants to stay beside yuuji, knowing any possible implications that it will bring. despite the catastrophe happened in shibuya, he chose to stay with yuuji, still. he chose yuuji, still. megumi knows and megumi trusts that yuuji himself wont ever hurt him. and can you even love someone u dont trust? megumi, megumi doesnt have to be a healer like shoko to heal / soothe yuuji’s heart, he does it anyway. i was so glad that after their reunion (chap 143 onwards), yuuji was himself again. megumi has a big impact on yuuji as much as yuuji on megumi. and thats just so lovely, isnt it?

MOST WANTED

So I’ve got 3 ships that I want most of all: Niels Schneider x Xavier Dolan, Daniel Sharman x Frank Dillane, and Niels Schneider x Daniel Sharman. I’m completely open plot wise for any of these though for the Niels x Daniel one, I did make this post earlier and still 100% stand by it. I will love you forever if you do one of these with me.

TEEN WOLF

I love this show too much and am so sad to see it go so why not do some 1x1s for it?

I love playing Isaac tbh and would love to have some ships for him. Allison x Isaac is like my OTP so if someone did that with me I would scream? I’ve also always been intrigued with the idea of Lydia x Isaac so I would totally love it if someone did that one too (and I’m cool with changing Holland’s face if you’re uncomfortable with her). Scott x Isaac, Stiles x Isaac, Jackson x Isaac are all some other suggestions. I’m intrigued with Boyd x Isaac as well so that’s a suggestion there too.

Also, sorry Thiam shippers, but I’m 100% forever on the Briam train so if someone would play Liam against my Brett, I’d be in heaven.

IN THE FLESH

Okay so, fun fact, this blog was re-purposed from an rp blog for a group that sadly died. It was an ITF inspired rp and I loved the character I played there and would love to bring him back. There was also a wanted connection I had for him that never got filled but that would be really great as a 1x1. You can read about my character Apollo Bellerose (Niels Schneider fc) here but here’s also a summary of the idea.

(Muse A is Apollo, Muse B would be your character.)

M/M -- Muse A was a wild child, a feral animal of fire and rule-breaking. Hopes for him were dashed at an early age as he set himself up as the trouble-maker. Muse B was the opposite -- tempered and popular. The only reason their paths crossed was because they grew up in the same small town, in the same class. But that should’ve been it. It was a surprise to everyone when Muse B and Muse A started hanging out together, soon becoming inseparable. They were just children but they were attached at the hip, growing into adolescence and teenagers. Muse A was still wild, Muse B was still calm -- fire and water, red and blue. When they were sixteen, their friendship evolved into something more intimate. Though the relationship could be fraught at time -- Muse A to blame in almost every case -- their bond ran deep. Or it did, until Muse B died suddenly. It was an accident or heart failure or something similar, sudden and unexpected. Too soon. One might’ve expected Muse A to go off the deep-end but, rather, he was numb, going through the motions. That was until the Rising happened and the dead came back. The world ground to a halt but with the PDS sufferers in treatment centers, the world is returning to normal and Muse A is getting back on his self-destructive track. He refuses to acknowledge that overwhelming possibility that Muse B would be one of those PDS sufferers, going so far as to avoid Muse B’s grave. With the PDS sufferers returning to Roarton though, it’s only a matter of time before Muse A wouldn’t be able to deny to it. But will an apocalypse be enough to sever their bond? Probably not.

My main suggestion for B was Xavier Dolan though I also originally suggested Daniel Sharman and Keith Powers. Matt Daddario, Bob Morley, and Dominic Sherwood would also work though Xavier and Daniel would be preferred. This is, like, one I really, really want to do still.

XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS

Campy 90s shows for the win (oh, and fuck you Looper -- it’s still perfectly watchable now). Anyways. I really want a Xena x Gabrielle plot, two bad-ass women travelling through the ancient world, kicking godly asses. As much as I love Lucy Lawless and Renee O’Connor, I realize that they’re not really usable so I’m totally down for changing the faces. Just... Please. Badass women and a canon that totally allows for AUs in all time periods -- it’d be awesome.

THE ORIGINALS

So um... I don’t want like a really super canon 1x1 here but like, after Koleb died, I got in my head this idea of what if, when Davina brought back Kol, Kaleb hitched a ride back. Kaleb’s bitter af but he was always kind of the way in my mind. The pairing would be Davina x Kaleb and we could also make this an OT3 if there was someone who’d like to play Kol as well but that’s not necessary for me.

LES AMOURS IMAGINAIRES

Uh... Indie French cinema for the win? Yeah, I know this won’t get any bites but I’m gonna try anyways. Basically a few years after the end of the movie, Francis and Nicolas meet again. There’s been some maturing, maybe Francis isn’t as close to Marie anymore (or maybe she got married or something). It’s slow-burn reconnecting and falling in love.

FEAR THE WALKING DEAD

So... I know Troy’s a POS person but I think there was potential for evolution in his character. He was isolated from a young age with an abusive father and alcoholic mother which didn’t give him much of a fighting chance in becoming a better person. Off the ranch though, I think he could have evolved. He also had a ton of useful information about walkers. Anyways, I’d like to give him that arc. Also I want to explore that mad chemistry between Nick and Troy so yeah. This masterlist might be good for some general plot ideas and tbh the “Who’s baby is this?” one just screams Trick to me.

GREEK MYTH

This can be like modern or actual myth -- either’s cool.

Zeus x Ganymede. Either historical like Zeus kidnaps him to be the wine-pourer and Zeus wants him but Ganymede is just perpetually pissed with him for KIDNAPPING him and Zeus has to win him over. Or maybe something modern that’s more sugary daddy/baby-ish?

Telemachus. I really love my baby Telemachus? Or Telemaque as the French would say. But, basically, there’s this suitor and he’s one of the younger ones, probably 25 or less, and not really in the running to win Penelope’s hand but eh. He doesn’t really care. He likes to tease Telemachus but as things get worse in Ithaca, he realizes he’s worried about Telemachus and starts teaching him how to fight and defending him and they start falling in love. He be all like ‘I’ll go with you’ when Telemachus goes to find his father (even though he doesn’t) and, when Odysseus returns, Telemachus has to defend him because he was technically one of the suitors and just... Please. (I’d play Telemachus.)

Odysseus x Penelope. Clever Odysseus and clever Penelope, dominating and tricking the world with their superior minds. A modern!AU.

HARRY POTTER

I love this universe so I’m super down for anything. I won’t do anything set at Hogwarts because I can never remain interested in that tbh but other stuff is cool. I highkey ship Remus x Sirius and would love to write them as long as the faces aren’t Andrew Garfield or Ben Barnes. I also love all the potential in the fucked up dynamic between Fenrir and Remus. I usually end up playing Fenrir but if someone wanted to let me play Remus in that, I’d adore you forever. A Regulus x Remus one would be awesome too. A Nymphadora x Remus ship would be cool too, as would a James x Lily or Lily x Marlene. Outside the Marauders era, someone needs to give me a Ginny x Cho ship. I also wrote a next gen son of Greyback (Lycus Greyback) once that I’d love to bring back. Maybe with Teddy? Or OCs -- OCs in the HP universe are totally okay with me.

PLOTS

So this tag has the plots I want but some I particularly want.

X. I’d like to be Muse B and maybe like have Tom Ellis as A? Or Jason Momoa? Idk. I’m open but I think it’d be super fun.

X. I’d be cool with playing either in this plot; I’d love to see Troye Sivan as A but again open but fun sounding.

Maybe we could do a Trick!AU where the walkers are because of necromancers and Troy has had to repress the fact he’s one his entire life and then Jeremiah and Jake are dead and yeah. But we could also do this as entirely OC. I’d still love it be necromancer-caused zombie apocalypse but I’m cool with other stuff.

Fed Cup: GB captain Anne Keothavong on Johanna Konta, Heather Watson & youngsters

Naturally everyone in the Great Britain team is disappointed after the narrow 3-2 Fed Cup defeat in Japan extended our 25-year wait to play in the World Group.

It didn’t go our way this time but that’s not to say it won’t go our way next year. You still have to draw on the positives. The team spirit was good, the girls got on with each other fantastically well.

An event like this takes them out of their comfort zone in many ways. As much as they enjoy it, it is different to how they operate on a week-to-week basis.

Now that I have stepped away from the game as a player, I like to remind our players that these are weeks you will remember for the rest of your life.

I want to be able to help them create memories that they can look back on with pride and know that they had a good time and enjoyed being part of a team and doing something different together with different people.

Also, it’s important to remind them to keep everything in perspective. The result didn’t go our way but they’re fit, they’re healthy.

Weeks like this remind me of Elena Baltacha, my former Fed Cup team-mate who died in 2014, and what she brought to the team and her spirit.

The players are doing something they love and they are in a privileged position. Let’s try and stay as upbeat as possible, get together next time and make it happen.

Elena Baltacha represented Great Britain for 12 consecutive years in the Fed Cup, from 2002 to 2013. She died from liver cancer in May 2014, aged 30

‘I couldn’t ask for more effort from my players’

Johanna Konta was well prepared for her battle against Japan’s rising star Naomi Osaka in Sunday’s opening singles match.

We spoke about the gameplan on Saturday night, that’s the routine I usually go through with both players after dinner.

I speak to the singles players individually so we are on the same page tactically about how they want to play the match, what to expect and the key words for me to use when I’m sat on the side with them.

Jo is the ultimate professional, she takes a high level of intensity to the court and she was really impressive against an in-form player, who recently won her first WTA Tour title at Indian Wells.

I guess everyone’s spirit was high after her performance – she put us in a great position with her victory. Heather Watson led 5-3 and had set points in her match against Kurumi Nara – she put herself in a good position but came up short.

Maybe you could say the lack of wins recently had an effect, but even though she was 3-0 and 5-3 down in the second set, she fought back.

That’s all you can ask for as a captain – that your players try their absolute best when they’re out there on court. The rest you just have to accept.

‘Heather was ready for the doubles’

Heather Watson and Johanna Konta won the first set against Japan’s doubles pairing Miyu Kato and Makoto Ninomiya but eventually lost 3-6 6-3 6-3

At 2-2 after Heather’s singles match I had to have the talk with her.

Having spoken to Heather, Jo, Anna Smith and Gabi Taylor at the start of the week, everyone was aware Jo and Heather were going to be my first pick for the doubles if the tie was still live.

I think it was important to have that conversation at the start of the week so players could prepare and know where they stand.

There was no hesitation from Heather after her singles defeat. She wanted to play in the doubles.

She was able to show me she was really up for it and that gave me confidence she could produce something special with Jo, who was ready to go.

Highlights: Watson & Konta beaten in thrilling doubles decider

After a nervy start from our pair, the way they finished up the first set was impressive.

At the start of the second set, we had game points and break points but it didn’t go our way. That’s the nature of sport.

Again the girls kept battling and the third set was anyone’s. Physically, Heather was struggling and the turnaround was tight – 30 minutes between the singles and doubles – but we’ve been in that position before, she knew what to expect, I knew what to expect.

We came up short and the Japanese team deserved to go through. The support was fantastic for those British people who made the journey out here – it’s pretty impressive because it’s not an easy place to get to.

‘Fed Cup promotion incredibly tough’

The defeat by Japan was the fourth time in seven years Britain have lost a play-off to reach the World Group – they were drawn away in all the ties

After the tie, everyone was naturally quiet in the team room and everyone was down. We came here with one job in mind and couldn’t quite get there.

We haven’t played in the World Group stage since 1993 and lost three other play-off ties – all where we were drawn away – in the past seven years.

You have to pick yourself up. It is a long wait until the next opportunity and hopefully there is time for younger players to raise their level and compete for a place in the team.

We will keep trying.

There are two buses back to the hotel from the venue, I was on the bus with Jo and for those of us on that bus there was a lot of talk about the Fed Cup format and potentially which teams could be back in Europe/Africa Group I.
