Offerings and their Removal
Disclosure, this may not apply to everyone! Cherry pick it if that works for you, or take none at all. Just no hate or arguments in the comments!
Definition- Offering - Something given to an entity or deity to show appreciation. This can also be something done or said to show appreciation.
~~~~~Types of Offerings~~~~~
Food- In ancient tradition, specifically Greek, the first bites of food were thrown into the fire to be sent through the gods by smoke. However, this isn't an option for many people these days. Alternative methods are favored.
Fire - The old methods are still applicable if available. If one has a bon fire or fire-place/hearth, the first bite of food can still be "smoked" , per-say.
Prayer - A small prayer can be said over food before the first bite is taken. Just a simple "Entity/spirit, please accept this offering, Blessed Be" or something similar can suffice. This, for some deities like Hestia can be done at the end too. This is more convenient for a hidden practice and for those who can't afford to waste food.
Altar- If you have an altar, or ever a small bowl, they can place the first bite of food there for the deity entity too.
Objects and Trinkets- Just like us, deities/entities love little trinkets. Whether it be a few coins you find nice to a statue or an engraved candle. Whatever it my be, it can be given to an entity with a prayer and/or on an altar in their honor.
Removables - There are some things that can be placed on altar and taken off. I like to call them removables. When placed on an altar, one could say "Entity/Deity, bless this object, with your energy and blessings." let it sit for a moment or cleanse with incense. If a clothing item, accessory, or perfume, you can take it off and use/wear it. Just remember to put it back to refresh the energy and discuss before taking it off for the first time.
Actions - There are also things that one can do in offer of a deity or entity. They can be small things, like prayers, to full-on rituals.
Prayer- This is probably the easiest in my opinion. It can be a small "Hey entity/deity, I appreciate you." on the go, or reciting a hymn or a prayer by the altar. It's incredibly diverse and can meld to any practice.
Chores - This can apply more to some deities than others, but just Keeping your room and house tidy can be done in honor of a deity. Altars specifically can be cleaned or re-arranged as an offering
Art-In ancient times, arts of every kind were offered to deities ant spirits. And it can fit most anyone's style.
Music- written specifically or just a song you think reminds you of them. Drawings/Paintings- try thing that reminds you of the deity or how you see them can be drawn or painted. Others- Pottery, Dance, Crocheting or handy crafts, or even more. All can be done in offering to a deity. Specifics - If you have done research into who you're offering to, you can offer specific things. Sleep for Hypnos, Baking bread for Hestia, Rehearsing if in the arts for Dionysus, etc. Self Care- This not a lot of people think applies, however the gas most want you to be kind to your self. whether it be a bath with oils, flower petals, and all the works to just brushing your teeth at night. All would make the gods/entities very proud of you!!
~~~~~Disposal~~~~~
This is something a bit more difficult; You did the thing, you think it's time, now what do you do? A decent chunk of this section was taken from @khaire-traveler. Obviously, actions cannot be "removed" Once the action is complete, the offering is sent.
Food- khaire narrowed it into 4 options that I really like. Just remember, when on an alter, don't let it sit too long for health concerns (rotting, bugs, etc.)
Consume - After praying aver the food like I had mentioned before.
Bum - Also mentioned before, but can be done after sitting at an altar for awhile.
Bury- Food offerings. if safe for local wildlife, can be buried. "My logic in burying them (only if environmentally safe) is returning the offering to the earth in a sense." (khair-3) (Yes its MLA cited, AP capstone has rotted my brain) If that fits Your practice, it is a good option.
Dispose, - This, like everything else here, must be done with respect. Clarify with the entity/deity that you aren't doing so out of disrespect, rather because this is your preferred disposal style or your only option
Objects/Art Pieces- If you have this ability, talk to your entity/deity about it, clarify there is no disrespect in the removal, and give the deity some time to de-attach to it. Slowly, the energy will fade from the object when kept away from the altar. This doesn't need to a ritual, but can be if that's what you prefer
Thank you for reading! This is my first fore into the pagan-sphere, so if this is something a lot of people like, I'll continue! Blessed Be, Alyssa the Witch!

-Free-spirited and eccentric with a unique way of thinking and inspiring change
-Does not care to conform to societal norms; wants to carve their own path
-Others associate their unconventional approach with leadership potential
-Highly innovative and good at communicating their ideas to others
-May endure setbacks and unforeseen changes in their life; unpleasant surprises
-Can fall into a rut if their progress is interrupted too drastically and too often
-Can appear to be attention-seeking at times, especially in dress and mannerisms
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Jupiter Sextile Neptune in Synastry
-These two dream together so well that they might as well be lost in Wonderland.
-The Jupiter person hates stagnancy and always wants to be growing, expanding outwards into who-knows-where.
-The Neptune person has a huge imagination and enjoys venturing into the unknown, even if only through the mind.
-When the Jupiter person gets stuck in a rut, unable to think of a path forward, the Neptune person floats in to whisper a little random something in their ear that revives the spark and saves the day.
-The benefits don't only go one way either, when the Neptune person gets lost in all the mist in their head, unable to act on anything, the Jupiter person can gallop in to hoist them up above the fog and carry them forward to a real destination.
-That is, assuming they both don't start having too much fun poking holes in the clouds instead.
-A risk with this aspect is that both people could end up enabling each other's inaction and being too content to build castles in the sky if they're not careful. But if they keep an eye on that, this can be an incredibly creative pair who will never grow bored with each other.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Pluto Trine Ascendant
-Projects a strong outer appearance even when feeling the exact opposite inside
-Charismatic people who others find attractive or at least intriguing
-Can be blunt but are perceived by others as charming and "just being honest"

-Can leave others feeling left in the dark or excluded from their inner circle.
-May be the subject of many rumors; some true, some false
-Others assume this person is healthier, wealthier, or more popular than they are
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Sun Sextile Mars
-With Sun Sextile Mars in your natal chart, you are brave, full of energy and often look young for your age. Some of you might be into sports or some kind of intense activities (dancing, martial arts, rock climbing, HIIT, etc.).
-If you’re more of a homebody, you could be the type to engage in causes online, standing up for endangered or marginalized beings.
-People might hit on you often or even if not, you might have a little trouble with the people who DO show interest in you mainly being interested in sex. At least, at first. Depending on your personal preferences and other placements, this may or may not be a problem.
- You’re the type of person who can work equally well alone or in a group, though you may prefer solo work if the groups you end up in can’t keep up with your energy.
-You’re usually popular and make friends very easily, though your direct way of speaking can rub some people the wrong way. However, people get used to you and quickly overlook this, as your honest nature and authenticity is very refreshing for most.
-The dynamic between you and your father/father-figure may be unique or just noticeably strong in some way. Others may often describe you as a “chip off the old block,” “Daddy’s girl” or some other phrase that highlights this connection.
-This can also go either way - You may have a positive or negative relationship with the masculine parent, it will just be a strong one regardless.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Neptune Trine Lilith
-Unafraid of things others find controversial, extreme or taboo
-Tend to be open (or at least comfortable) with their sexuality
-Highly expressive and does not bend to societal expectations
-Refuses to be controlled or held back by anyone but themselves
-Surprises others with their unconventional, free-spirited approach to spirituality
-Met with curiosity and acceptance rather than scorn for their views
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Mercury in Libra
-You're diplomatic and fair, but also take forever to make up your mind.
-People love you for the way you consider everyone's point of view, but it's okay to have your own opinion and stand on it too.
-Your partners love you because you'll never embarrass them in public.
-You believe in a united front and will stand by those you love in public and correct them in private.
-Somehow you have the best advice. Even if you don't always take it yourself.
-One thing about you, you're gonna make a list of pros and cons.
-Your voice is so smooth and sexy. People fall in love with the way you sound and you don't even know it.
-Your friends call you when they can't sleep, and not in a bad way. You're just so calming to listen to that it takes their stress away.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Sun Trine Moon
-You are popular and generally likable, but may be somewhat private or secretive.
-Others see you as someone who has mastered the balance between showing humility and displaying confidence. This fact alone makes you so much more attractive to others.
-Speaking of attraction, people are often attracted to the sense of security they feel around you. You're generally easygoing, or at least you try to appear that way.
-Harmony is important to you and you'll go lengths to maintain it. It can be difficult for you to understand people who seem to be at war with themselves, because your own ideals and feelings are rarely at odds.
-If there aren't enough challenging aspects in your chart to make you more familiar with inner conflict, you could find yourself becoming avoidant and sweeping things under the rug or delaying tough conversations with others.
-People think you know what you’re talking about, even if you don’t. There’s an aura of “knowing” about you and may often be picked to lead teams or call the shots in some way. This can be either flattering or annoying, depending on whether you enjoy being in charge.
-You’re a friendly person and avoid conflict, but you can certainly defend yourself if necessary and others are sometimes surprised when a more firm side of your personality comes out. Overall though, you're most likely to live and let live whenever possible.
-You can be extremely accepting of others and yourself, but sometimes to a fault. It's a good idea to get in the habit of questioning things or seeking out perspectives on life that are different from your own.
-Family can be your Achille's heel as you’ll put up with things from loved ones that you’d never tolerate from anyone else.
-There are many things you’re good at, but you’re unlikely to brag. Your efforts may go unnoticed for a short time simply because you never bring them up and don’t point out anything you’ve done to anyone.
-You may embody the sentiment of “if it doesn’t affect me, then it doesn’t bother me." Can have an easier time achieving goals since emotions won't get in the way.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Sagittarius Sun in 11H
-Optimistic and freedom-loving; constantly seeking adventure
-May be a strong presence in their social circle, if not the leader
-Values friendship highly and wants to work/live/travel with friends
-Can be idealistic but surrounds themselves with people who think differently and can offer varying perspectives
-Could be involved in social justice matters and be a voice for change
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Sun Sextile Mercury in Synastry
-Conversations between the Sun person and the Mercury person are lively and extremely enjoyable for both of them.
-These are the friends or partners who can easily spend hours on the phone or facetime, talking about anything and everything under the sun from why humans speak so many different languages to what color socks goes with what outfit.
-The Sun person brings new concepts and raw perspectives to the conversation, which the Mercury person is all too happy to process and put into the best combination of words.
-This aspect is especially sweet for pairs who have compatible hobbies or skills/professions, e.g. a singer/musician and a writer/poet, or a web/software developer and a copywriter.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Ascendant Conjunct Uranus
-Original thinkers who can usually back up their ideas with actions
-Like to be around open-minded, progressive types of people
-Love to play the devil's advocate; can rebel or argue for the sake of it
-Others view them confident and creative, yet also eccentric
May sabotage themselves by constantly trying to shock people
-Looks for partners who need freedom and personal space, like them
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Moon Conjunct Neptune
-You are highly imaginative and creative. Possibly a great storyteller who can take the most mundane experience and recast it in an interesting and theatrical light. This can make you popular and very well-liked by others.
-You might make an exceptional actor, whether professionally or in everyday life. Though if overdone, this trait can backfire and lead to you being loved for who you are not.
-This is rarely malicious on others' part: Neptune's misty illusions, combined with the changeable nature of the moon cause you to unintentionally fool others and sometimes yourself.
-Internally, you could be quite sensitive, but whether you wear this on your sleeve or conceal it depends on your moon sign and other aspects. Regardless, you often absorb all the energies in a room and constantly process everything you see and feel.
-Sometimes, it could feel like you have no idea where you end and others begin. Struggling with emotional boundaries can be a negative theme in your life if not balanced out by other aspects.
-People who do not this (or similar) placements can find it difficult to empathize with you and might spread rumors or make your personality a frequent topic of their conversations.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Venus Trine Saturn
-Extremely loyal; can be reserved and controlled in social settings
-Not obviously introverted or extroverted; quiet but not shy
-Usually attracted to older partners or people with mature energy
-Afraid of rejection but will try to hide this from others at all costs
-Highly determined when their mind is set to achieve something
-Can be creative and will usually finish the projects they start
-Blends structures with aesthetics well; may enjoy interior design
-Extremely responsible people who others look up to and rely on
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Juno in Scorpio
-While Venus may show how we fall in love and what traits attract us most, Juno shows what we truly need to feel safe and secure in a marriage or long-term partnership, regardless of what we're attracted to.
-In my case, I have both Venus and Juno in Scorpio, so there isn't much difference between what I need and what I desire in a partner. But some may not be so fortunate and experience a war with themselves.
-Juno in Scorpio natives like an element of mystery around their relationships. The allure of having a whole other side to their lives behind closed doors that the public knows nothing about.
-Traditionally ruled by Mars, Scorpio approaches emotion with a lot of passion and a sense of urgency. When Juno is placed in this sign, the natives can experience intense power dynamics with the object of their affection. A fear of betrayal and obsession with loyalty is also present.
-Scorpio Juno people NEED depth in their relationship, otherwise they will fall out of love. If they cannot connect deeply with their lover for any reason, they will do everything possible to reestablish the bond.
-However, if their partner makes no effort to restore the connection, they can often grow to hate their partner just as deeply as they once loved them. Depending on the rest of their chart, they may either stay in the relationship out of obligation, but entertain secret affairs, or they may sever the relationship entirely and seek another, or become celibate and closed off to relationships entirely.
-Scorpio Juno people will not be happy with anything less than a true soulmate relationship. Despite being slow to open up themselves, they desire partners who are trusting, loyal and unafraid to show vulnerability.
-The ride or die type of relationship is usually the only kind of relationship these natives feel truly satisfied in. They can often find this kind of connection in people with whom they have Juno-Mars, Juno-Venus, Juno-Sun, or Juno-Sun synastry, or people with significant/many planets in Scorpio.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Ascendant Conjunct Mars
-Cares about others but does not over-identify with their emotions.
-Can spend hours trying to figure out why everyone else is so upset.
-Joyful (unless depressed) but also impulsive and easily angered
-Comes on strong, which thrills some and overwhelms others.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Venus Conjunct Jupiter
-You’re a gentle peacemaker. Aggression and conflict grieve your spirit in ways that words can’t express.
-Harsh personalities can drive you to step out of character yourself, so you tend to seek out agreeable people to be friends with. This isn’t difficult as you’re generally popular in your social circles unless other placements in your chart suggest otherwise.
-Anytime there is a dispute, you’re likely to walk away or try to delay getting into the argument.
-You may be physically attractive, but the brightest aspect of your appeal is how affectionate you are to those you care for. Unless depressed or otherwise weighed down by circumstance, your presence is naturally cozy and very soothing to others, even if you don’t quite understand why.
-Others can see and feel the warm aura that surrounds you and makes them feel like anywhere with you is a safe space.
-Another thing you may notice is that people open up to you very easily, telling you all about their dreams, hopes, aspirations and other things that you wouldn’t normally discuss with a stranger.
-You also may be extremely creative, whether in the way that you think and dream, or in the things that you do (music, design, writing, dance, poetry, etc). This is one of the more promising aspects for love and relationships, and these may come relatively easily without too much effort on your part.
-Of course, for every dawn there is dusk: you may be rather lazy, self-indulgent, and greedy, if not careful to keep your desires under control. However, with a bit of self-reflection and determination to improve, you will get along in life just fine.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Moon Trine Venus in Synastry
-If your Moon trines someone's Venus (or the other way around), you could have more compassion for each other than for other people.
-There will be a strong emotional connection between you.
-Others might complain that you let each other get away with everything, lol.
-There's an unspoken "handle with care" vibe between you that's very sweet.
-It can be hard to suppress this vibe if being close with that person is wrong or taboo in some way (e.g. coworkers, boss, etc.).
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Mars Opposite Neptune
-May try to present an image that fits the social expectations of their environment instead of their current reality (esp. with 1H Mars).
-Tends to hide internal insecurities with external confidence that may seem unnatural or "fake"
-Depending on where Neptune is placed, certain people or places will appear to be safe, leading the native to reveal themselves more clearly, only to find out it was a trick.
-People who can see past their brave façade will either try to be safe space for then, or will study their insecurities to take advantage of them
-Can be a prime target for energy vampires, narcissists, etc., if unhealthy/unevolved
-They are a frequent topic of discussion in their social groups; can be positive in some cases or if other aspects outweigh this one, but with mars opposing neptune, these natives are usually gossiped about/slandered more than anything else
-Their morals/ethics can appear questionable to others due to Neptune's influence clouding the native's good intentions and honest motivations behind their actions.
-They may notice that people often accuse them of being sneaky or seeming "sus" without being able to give any real reason.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Venus Square Jupiter
-Highly motivated to create things, but often lacks the right skill set to do so
-May try to sooth their frustration by spending large sums to own luxury goods
-Draws others in with their playful, mildly risky sense of humor
-Makes friends easily but can lose them all to long periods without contact, irreconcilable differences in religion or politics, or generally drifting apart
-Charming and fun to be around, but can be extremely selfish in connections
-Often has lonely spells because their loved ones find them too demanding
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Saturn in Pisces
-You may be hard on yourself and not see your talents and abilities for what they truly are. Learning to trust your intuition and nurture self-confidence will help a lot.
-You could tend to hold on to the past and have trouble letting pain go. Often paranoid or defensive as a means of self-protection
-Highly compassionate and may be extremely practical too, Can struggle to draw the line where you end and others begin.
-You are patient and will often forgo your own comfort in the present to help others or to achieve a greater good in the future
-Usually artistic, or highly appreciative of artistic traits and creations from others
-Might turn to religion or some other kind of spirituality for structure and faith in life
-Your feet can give trouble, perhaps pain in the bones or issues with walking/gait
-You're sensitive and feel vulnerable or unprotected in life, even if you don't admit it.
-Victim or martyr complexes are common if not avoided through self-reflection and overcoming negative thoughts and emotions
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Mercury in Leo in 12H
-Can have a dramatic or over-confident way of speaking
-Very charismatic, enthusiastic; impossible for others to ignore
-Wants to be noticed and admired for the things they choose to say- May share their thoughts and opinions often hoping for feedback
-Sometimes aloof, reserved; struggles to express certain emotions
-Might keep part of themselves locked away from others at all times
-Tends to explore their environment more than their inner world
-Could have sporadic issues with short-term memory or comprehension
-Too much overthinking can lead to depression and self-imposed isolation
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Neptune Opposite Ascendant
-You might not have a set persona and will appear one way today and completely different tomorrow.
-It's possible that your appearance, mannerisms, and speech change drastically from one day to the next.
-Others may see you as a shapeshifter or even deceptive in some way. At best, you're generally unpredictable and confusing to those around you.
-Only a few can see clearly through the fog without you having to explain yourself. These people often become your best friends or even romantic partners.
-You give off varying auras at different times to different people so it's not uncommon people with this aspect to have one set of friends who know them to be one way, and others who know them to completely different.
-E.g. seeming reserved or shy in one friend group, naïve and innocent in another, mysterious and dark with a 3rd, outgoing and free-spirited with others, etc.).
-Depending on your personal tolerance for chaos, you may spend an enormous amount of time and energy keeping your friends/friend groups from ever meeting each other.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Sun Conjunction Mercury
-The self is expressed in a natural, flowing way; charismatic and a great talker
-May enjoy intellectual topics but struggle to be objective about them
-Connects well with other as they easily & quickly adjust their tone and delivery
-Talks more than listens, easily distracted unless others are equally engaging
-Great public speakers, writers, etc., but can be unreliable and procrastinating
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Jupiter Opposite Sun in Synastry
-This can signal a difference of opinion between you and your partner on key topics, such as religion, philosophy, politics, etc.
-This does not have to be a bad thing, but it can cause conflict between partners with strong egos who aren't so invested in making things work.
-But if both are committed to going the distance with each other, they should hear each other out and see their differences as opportunities to learn and grow together.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Mars Trine Neptune
-Highly creative; can bring fantasies to life in some shape or form
-Usually cultured and can hold their own in a variety of environments
-Action-oriented, yet charming and persuasive; liked by others
-Quick to defend those who cannot defend themselves
-Has knowledge of theoretical things, but struggles in day-to-day life
-Could easily become a starving artist due to their impracticality
-May seek partnerships with people who possess life skills they lack
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Moon Conjunct Uranus
-Requires a lot of personal space and almost total freedom. Highly independent and hates relying on others for anything or being misjudged.
-Has a busy aura or a buzzing kind of underlying energy, even at rest, but is easily drained emotionally. People view them as unpredictable and hard to pin down.
-May be called energizer bunny or simply get lots of comments from people telling them to relax/slow down, even when they're not doing anything.
-Can inspire others easily, from the small things like getting chores/assignments done, to the big things like career changes, moving overseas, starting a business or relationship, etc.
-Lives life completely on their own terms; very unhappy if forced to submit to anyone else's agenda
-Has strong words for those who try to control or "fix" them; will only befriend the most open-minded people.
-May seem open and like the type to wear their heart on their sleeve, but are quite detached and show only what they want others to see
-Prone to conceal their true emotional state and convince themselves and others that they've said how they felt when they have. Hold things in until they inevitably explode.
-Can be stubborn or not like being told what to do, but makes up for it with their conversational charm and quick-thinking/problem-solving abilities
-Wants to be included and important to the family (biological or otherwise) but does not want to held hostage or smothered by others' emotional demands
-Can become very restless if life becomes too dull/stagnant. Needs constant stimulation and may spend a lot of time consuming media on the Internet.

-Leaves no stone unturned; will not try to escape their problems
-Can be somewhat overzealous in communication and alienate friend
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Chiron in 3H
-Might talk a little too much at all the wrong times. Even if the quieter type, they can end up oversharing without realizing it, which might not be the worst thing in the world if they are generally popular and well-liked, but it can be devastating if people already don't like them before they even open their mouths.
-Regardless of social standing, they can have problems in the workplace if they reveal the wrong things to the wrong people. Either getting into hot water with HR because of the way someone interpreted the things they said, or losing opportunities for promotion because something got back to a manager and ruined their reputation.
-Often, these people had social problems in childhood that never got resolved and continue to follow them into adulthood. A lot of it has to do with not being listened to and feeling ignored or like they had to outdo themselves constantly to be noticed. This often leads to people pleasing or becoming clingy with anyone who shows (or appears to show) genuine interest in them as a person.
-People with this placement can go from being the chatterbox or trauma dumping friend to being THAT person who everyone goes to for advice or even just to listen to because of the interesting stories and thoughts you have to share.
-People with Chiron in the 3rd house can overcome the negative aspects of this placement by becoming more mindful of how quickly one gets comfortable with others. That's not to say you have to be standoffish or aloof, but just consider whether something really needs to be said before saying it. With time and practice, you can become an excellent and highly empathetic communicator who knows what to say and when to say it.
˖°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・
Natal Lilith Sextile Ascendant
- Can physically manifest in the native being extremely tall or short
-Often appears confident no matter how they really feel about themselves

-Can trigger very strong reactions in other people, especially if female/feminine
-May be shunned by the majority of women, or the topic of their conversations
-Misjudged by people who have no intention of getting to know them or the truth

pLEASE sevika x idol/singer reader? :( I WANNWA DO THOSE CUTE DANCES INFORNT OF SEVIKA TO GET HER REACITON AEAEHAHAUAUUUAUAUAUAUAU
oh my gosh anon this is so cute!!! :3
men and minors DNI pretty pleaseee
also let's pretend the meeting at the vander statue didn't end in attacks from noxus for the purpose of this ask 😊 i started writing this when act 2 came out so imagine this is in between act 2 and 3
to absolutely no one's knowledge, sevika was a superfan of yours. zaun had very few 'celebrities' of sorts, but you, a breakout singer that used to be a girl-for-hire at margot's, had made a name for yourself.
you regularly held gigs around the undercity, most frequently on the roof of the chembarons' little lair at the very peaks of the underground. ever since silco shoved off, you've been able to spot his number two in the front row at nearly all of your shows.
the riots going on recently because of the colourful spectacle topside had temporarily paused your gigs, but that didn't stop you from supporting zaun and doing pop-ups to raise morale. sevika herself somehow got your contact and convinced you to come to a rally near the vander statue. you were excited to be apart of something so directly involved with jinx and protesting. you wore jinx-er attire and even brought flares for the audience.
"come onnn, shoot faster!"
you had also gotten jinx herself on stage with you. she happened to be a big fan of yours and one of the reasons sevika reached out for this gig. you sang jinx's favourite song together with the crowd bumping. her presence made the attendance a lot bigger and the atmosphere a whole lot more exciting.
"just a little bit of energy, yeah!"
you spotted sevika in her usual front row spot, admiring your act and jinx for finally getting out of her lair. sevika was holding the hand of a small blue-haired girl jumping around like a maniac watching jinx. it was a sweet sight, especially since they were both mouthing along the words of the song and sevika dancing a little with the girl hanging off her mechanical arm.
"i wanna try somethin' fun right now!"
the crowd set off their flares of blue and the scene was clouded with aqua while you and jinx continued to sing and entertain.
"i guess some people call it anarchy!"
—
after your numbers were over, you thanked the crowd, thanked jinx, and thanked sevika for planning it all and giving her credit where it was due. she was a little bashful but it made her all the more authentic to you.
"this was really fun!" you approached sevika once she had pawned off the small girl to jinx, the two of them giggling together. "i'd love to show more spots like this. i've never seen zaun so pumped up."
"you were great. you and jinx really hit it off on stage, the people loved you two."
it was your first real conversation with the left hand of zaun and it was a little silly how starstruck you were. she was a bigger fan of yours and you were the actual pop star here.
"i saw that you loved us too," you poked a little fun with her. "knowing all the lyrics, dancing along..."
she, of all people, got flustered and scoffed, waving off your words. she had a good time watching your act, just like she always did, but someone actually noticing it for once kind of embarrassed her.
"well, if ever you wanna see a little shimmy from me again, don't hesitate to reach out for a gig. with how much jinx, the kid, and i love your act, zaun'll be in the clouds with how high you've lifted our spirits."
parting ways with sevika and waving goodbye to jinx and (seemingly) her younger sister, you couldn't help but feel giddy. the most revered and loyal person in zaun was a fan of yours, she wanted to keep spotting your act, and now you had jinx as a wingwoman on stage. you never thought life could get any better as a little singer from the underground.
i'm sooooo sorry this took me so long But i am back to getting requests and asks written since i'm on break now :) feel free to send some!

HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING, RIGHT?

Pairings: Lip Gallagher X male!reader, (implied) Ian Gallagher X Mickey Milkovich
Genre: typical best friend’s brother trope, questioning sexuality, mentions of alcohol and drugs, kissing
Author's note: This is for male readers. I’ve used my shameless OC, Rust Anderson, as the main character, but this can be viewed as an x Reader too (if you change Rust's name to yours lmao, I just don't like using y/n, sorry). I’ve added another OC of mine, whose name is Carina Flores… I also love changing characters' personalities, so sometimes they might be a bit OOC (sorry in advance).
This is supposed to be the night that was mentioned in this fic ;)
God fucking damnit, this took ages. I'm not a big fan of the ending, but oh well.

Gosh, he was perfect… The way he walked, the way he talked, the way his eyes wrinkled when he smiled. Everyone knew him, everyone liked him, the kid the Andersons had adopted, rumored to be the bastard child of some CEO from the north side. He had the heart of an angel, which was weird to see in the southside.
He could always be seen sitting next to his friend Carina Flores, another adopted orphan in the neighborhood. The duo was inseparable, having met in foster care before being adopted, him by the Andersons, her by the Flores, and luckily living in the same city. They hung out so much everyone assumed they were dating.
It was a normal Friday; he, Carina, and their two friends, Mandy Milkovich and Ian Gallagher, were hanging out during a break.
People loved talking about those four, an unlikely group, really. Two kids from “problematic” families, the token smart and pretty popular girl and the unbelievably nice child of the Andersons.
“I want to go home already…” Carina whined.
“Only two hours of torture left.” Ian replied.
Engrossed in their conversation, they didn’t hear some older guy approach them.
“Hey! We’re throwing a party tonight. We're inviting everyone, you guys should come.”
Rust turned around, looking up and down at the other boy.
“We’ll think about it, thanks for inviting us, tho.”
“Cool, hope to see you tonight.”
With that, the guy turned around and disappeared.
“Seems like we have something to look forward to tonight, then!” - Mandy exclaimed, shoving Carina’s arm slightly.
“Yeah, sounds like a plan.” Ian replied.
“We can meet at mine before… 6.30 sound good?”
“Yeah!” The other three exclaimed.
…
It was around 6 when the doorbell first rang. Rust ran down the stairs and opened it to see Carina, who was carrying a bag full of clothes to get ready.
“You sure do come prepared.” Rust said sarcastically.
They made their way to Rust’s room, which was neatly decorated with witchy and music stuff. Turning on some music, they started getting ready, up until about half an hour later, when the doorbell rang again.
Carina was putting on her makeup when Rust came back with Ian and Mandy behind him.
“Wow, you guys took this seriously!” Ian said while observing the mess in Rust’s room and the elaborate outfits they had picked out.
“Antes muerta que sencilla” (I prefer being dead than looking boring), Carina retorts.
Rust chuckles, taking out a bottle of vodka from under his pillow.
“Let's get this started then!” Rust wiggles the bottle while grinning.
“Fuck yeah!” - Ian exclaims.
They changed the music to something more lively to get into the party spirit and started taking shots.
The time to get to the party approached. It was 8h30, and the alcohol had already started working its effects.
They made their way to some warehouse the guy from before had given them. Rust and Karina were dancing around while Ian and Mandy were laughing together, seeing how excited their two friends were for the party.
Once they arrived, they noticed how lively the atmosphere was. A bunch of people were dancing, making out in the corners, talking… and the bar wasn't short of drinks.
“I could go for another drink.” Ian said, looking at the group.
“Yeah, downing a whole bottle obviously wasn't enough.” Rust replies, chuckling.
“Mandy and I are going to go dance, we’ll join you guys later.” Carina said.
The guys waved them goodbye while they made their way to the makeshift bar the students had created. A guy from an upper grade greeted them.
“Oh shit! Another Gallagher. I’ve seen your brother around here somewhere.”
“Lip is here?” Rust exclaimed, raising an eyebrow.
“He did say he had something to do…” Ian replied.
“Ok then, what should I pour you guys?”
“I'll take a vodka soda, better to not mix alcohols.”
“Yeah, I'll take one too.”
The guy poured their drinks and handed them to the pair.
That's when they felt a hand on their shoulders. Turning to see who it is, they see Lip, cigarette between his lips.
“Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.” Rust exclaimed, smiling.
Ian rolled his eyes and turned fully to his brother.
“You didn't say you were coming.” Ian stated dryly.
“I didn't know you guys would be here. Why bother telling you.” He looked around. “Where are the girls?”
“Somewhere, dancing around. We were gonna join them.”
Lip looked up and down his brother's best friend's body, admiring how well he was dressed and how his clothes hugged his figure.
“I'll go with you guys, my friend ditched me for some chick. He won't be back anytime soon.”
Rust chuckled and Ian sighed. They made their way to the dance floor, where their two friends were already dancing. Rust immediately joined them, but the two brothers stayed a little behind, moving a bit awkwardly.
They couldn't help but chuckle at how their friends were commanding the attention, already having people join their circle while dancing.
Mandy had already started flirting with some guy, Carina was shining under the spotlight put on her, and Rust, well, let's just say he was a little touchy with a girl that he had started dancing with.
It was a weird feeling, but Lip felt a pang of jealousy… was it jealousy? He didn't really know, but what he did understand was that he wanted it to stop.
When he looked around, he found that Ian had disappeared, but he caught a glimpse of him walking out with someone… Was that Milkovich?
To be honest, he couldn't care less right now. He looked back at the other three, deciding to join them. There was nothing to lose, right?
As he was approaching, Rust grabbed his wrist and pulled him to the circle beside him.
Even though Rust was still dancing with a girl, this action made Lip’s heart skip a beat. And the way he was looking at him while still grinding on her. He knew what he was doing, right? He had to.
After a little while, Lip and Rust made their way to the bar again, where they ordered another round. Once they got their drink, Lip got up.
“I'm gonna go for a smoke.”
“I'll go with you, I need some fresh air.”
They got out via the back door and sat on some stacked crates not far away.
The weird intimacy of the moment made Lip's heart rate accelerate. It was rare for him to feel like this for anyone, let alone a guy. He sighed.
This made Rust smile.
“No luck with the ladies today, huh?”
“Hmm. Can't say the same about you. That girl was enamored. And the guy at the bar was almost drooling while looking at you.”
“Someone jealous?” Rust said jokingly.
He really didn't know, did he? The effect he had on people. The way everyone would feel welcome by his demeanor. The way he would be so enticing while dancing, the way he made Lip's heart rate speed up…
“No.” He said while exhaling the smoke. He handed it to Rust with a raised eyebrow.
“No thanks, I have enough with the edible Carina gave me.”
Lip chuckled.
“How… how did you know you were bi?”
Rust looked at him, raising an eyebrow, shocked by the sudden question. He didn't feel like joking around, so he answered truthfully Lip's question.
“Trust me, you know. A sudden crush on some guy you know, the urge to kiss him…”
Lip hummed.
“Why? Someone caught your eye?” Rust asked.
Lip sighed, looking at him. The alcohol had clouded his thoughts, and the weed wasn't helping his case. He leaned in and pressed his lips against Rust's.
Rust let out a muffled sound. He debated whether or not to pull back. But god, he had wanted this for so long.
When Lip pulled back, he looked at the other boy. He was scared, to say the least. What the fuck did he just do? Did he ruin one of the best friendships he had?
“I'm sorry, I got carried away. I…” Lip said.
“Lip…”
“It's just… I… I don't know what came over me. You just looked so good, and I wanted to kiss you… I'm sorry.”
“Lip, I didn't pull away, did I?”
He looked up, surprised by his response.
“Can I… do it again?”
“Bring it on.”
They made out for a while until they decided to go back inside since it was getting cold. They spent the remainder of the night dancing together. Luckily, people were too drunk to remember, and Ian was still somewhere with Mickey. Oh, and Carina and Mandy… they didn't care and were occupied with something, or rather, someone else.

I hear some stuff about writing that doesn’t have believable or meaningful cultural differences when it comes to fantasy settings/cultures, so i want to ask: what exactly makes a culture meaningfully distinct? what differences in a culture make sense, or lack of differences that don’t? just like where do i start with all that it seems complicated
Disclaimer that I am a white american, so like I don't think im an expert on this lol a lot of other people probably have more to add with actual personal experience in seeing their own cultures crop up as bastardized fantasy cultures, possibly mixed up with a few other cultures as well. I am opening this up to my followers! Please add your opinions!
The first thing to note about fantasy culture is that it can be difficult to create a new culture entirely from scratch without taking ideas from real cultures, because of course the only references we have are real world human cultures! So step number one in writing a new cukture is to give yourself some grace, because you're going to end up with some details that might seem similar to any number of real cultures, and that in itself is not inherently a bad thing. It's not appropriative, for example, to write a fantasy culture that has some important dances involving some form of costume with masks. This concept alone can be found in several real cultures around the world because people like to use music and dance and costuming in order to tell stories, some of which even have religious significance.
But if, say, you find yourself directly referencing more specific real like cultural dances in this category, copying their styles and even taking the stories they tell with those dances, you should probably step back and rethink it.
A personal example: there is a dance in the opening chapters of my current story draft. It is an orcish funeral dance, in which a raven-like bird is shown guiding the spirit of the deceased person to the afterlife. Costumes and masks are used in this dance. But I also know that the real life Native American cultures in my own area have raven dances that tell specific stories about a sacred raven figure. So when I design the dance costumes and try to describe the dance in my story, i do my best to avoid copying real life raven dances. Am I perfect at it? Absolutely not. But I am trying.
And it helps to build up your fantasy cultures as whole interconnected things, not just disconnected pieces of things that seem cool or only support one or two plot points and have no other impact.
But I think maybe am diving in a little too deep too quick here, so let me back up.
I interpreted this ask at first about making fantasy cultures distinct from real world cultures, but the other interpretation is making fantasy cultures distinct from each other within their settings. Which is equally important!
For example, while in fantasy it is useful to kinda lump your people groups up as species (elves have elf culture, orcs have orc culture) it is also a good idea to vary them somewhat (elves from location A have a different culture than elves from location B, even though they share the same cultural ancestry and have more in common than they do with orc cultures)
Making these cultures meaningfully distinct, to me, means they feel organic and alive and not like cardboard cutouts reusing the same stock ideas every time. Which is not to say that you can't use the same ideas that are commonly used with things like elves and orcs, but that you should explore deeper and figure out what you personally enjoy about those fantasy folks and then expand on it.
The thing about culture is that it affects every aspect of people's lives. So your fantasy cultures also need to do that!
One common example I see is worldbuilding that has a surface level attempt to make a fantasy world modern and feminist by just having some female deities and putting female characters in leadership roles. But then immediately under the surface they're still using very patriarchal and sexist details that line up with exactly the real world they've grown up in. It's a lack of deeper thought. What does it actually mean for these fictional people to worship a goddess? Why if they're ruled by a matriarchal figure are they still degrading the role of motherhood and treating women as lesser than men? And why does the female protagonist feel like a #feminist not-like-other-girls girlboss from a Twitter thread? (This one is a major pet peeve of mine, can u tell)
Hmm I feel like i am saying an awful lot but I don't know if I have actually answered the question.
Let's go back to "how do I start?" Because I think that is the most important detail, right? Where do you begin to write distinct fantasy cultures that isn't just a list of "well here is some stuff other people do wrong" or "don't copy real world cultures".
Start with two groups of fantasy people. They don't have to be related.
What are their physical traits? Are they human or something else? What environment do they live in? What resources are available to them?
With those resources, what can they make? What do they eat? How do they gather the resources they have access to?
What do they consider to be important? How does thus affect their social structure? Their form of government? Their spiritual beliefs? Do they value wealth? How does that look for them?
You'll want to explore several different cultural topics and connect them back to these central questions. Some important topics are clothing and accessories, transportation, architecture, cuisine, and entertainment.
If your two people groups live in separate environments and/or are different species, it will be easier to create unique distinctions between their cultures. But if they are the same species in the same environment, they may share some cultural foundations and differ more in things like spiritual practices and social structures (like government). The important thing to keep in mind is that the details of their culture will effect every part of their lives, so you need to create consistent rules for how to write them.
Also, people who interact with each other will end up influencing each other in one way or another. How do these two groups interact? What do they trade? Are they allies or enemies? Does either group oppress the other? What does that look like in this case?
And then of course you can repeat this process as much as you like with more groups in your world. And don't be afraid to research real life cultures! You do actually want to know what's common in particular environments. Like for example, what clothing styles are most common in arid environments? How about cold environments? What animals and plants are available as resources in a temperate forest?
I think a lot of us are tired of seeing desert dwelling fantasy people who wear skimpy outfits that would actually give them serious sunburns and heat stroke, for example. Please stop doing that.
I have also seen some newly popular fantasy books that give absolutely zero consideration to what the people in their worlds would actually have access to and know about. Like a woman living in a fantasy desert surrounded by sand and suffering through a near constant drought, with no mention of any other countries with more fertile land, should not be able to easily access any grain based alcohol while complaining of a lack of water rations. She also should not just casually make reference to a "feast day turkey". Girl what turkey. What whiskey. You don't have those things. You live in a place that resembles Tattooine. (Sorry, more pet peeves)
Just put some actual thought into your fictional cultures and be genuinely curious about it! If you're having fun with it, exploring all the options and making it consistently cohesive, it will read fine. Also just have the chutzpah to pull it off. A fantasy world that unapologetically and enthusiastically puts a lamp post in the middle of a forest is better written than one that seems to just copy every common vaguely-old-fashioned-western-europe fantasy setting that has ever been written and never does anything new or fun with it.
Your elves can still be nigh immortal forest people who do archery, your orcs can still be big buff warrior types, but you gotta find a way to make them your own and have some fun with it.
#long post#so long i am very sorry lol#how to worldbuild#worldbuilding advice#maybe shouldn't have answered this at like 11pm i get rambly when I'm tired#but uh#hope it helps anyway#i am very passionate about this topic#love writing my own fantasy people and diving deep into their cultures and exploring why they are the way that they are#and how they interact with each other#that interaction is very important#plz write more fantasy cultures that actually have meaningful interactions

okay so I guess I’m back to losing my fucking mind.

Did that ritual with Lucifer yesterday, offered him some blood and a chocolate apple. He expressed that he wanted me to put all my sigils in one place so I got this case for him, he really liked it. I wrote him a little letter and all that.
At some point I expressed to him that I was somewhat disappointed that he seemed less willing to engage with me seriously when I was trying to practice automatic writing on the type writer. and he said something like "well, you didn't really have anything to ask me."
So I tried approaching him with a real question, the answer to which I do not know. The one thing that has been agitating me lately is whatever occurred during our last meeting, with that lady spirit. He provided a very brief explanation at the time, but I still had questions. What happened there? It seemed really random and strange.
And he was like alright, I will give it a serious attempt. This was after we'd already spent some time together, cleared our space, meditated. But I still took quite a while to lock into some sort of trance state that would allow me to simultaneously take control out of my body whilst also not paralyzing myself. Idk if that makes sense but if you know you know. And after what might have been a whole hour or two, maybe an hour and a half, I felt his energy creeping up on me. In my mind's eye I saw a snake entering my room through my window (funny because I'm on the 4th floor). It was very dark in the room, the only light was his candle. I could not see what was being written entirely, although I could still somewhat see the keys, and I knew their position through muscle memory, so there is that.
But when that snake slithered around my abdomen and coiled around my body, my left hand, my non dominant hand, which happened to be wearing his ring at the time, rose. The snake coiled around it, and I watched in that silent trace state, where you can see yourself moving, but you are observing it in second person. It actually kind of tickles in a weird way. At first my hand did not type at all. I felt his whisper dance over me and my hand stroked my thighs and stomach. After about maybe 20 minutes of that, a good while, my hand crept over to the typewriter and began to type quickly. Slower than before, but quickly. I don't really know how to explain this but I really liked doing that. It's a very silent unspoken form of communication, I feel him move me and I obey, I have to respond quickly and be completely submissive to his will. It's... nice.
I was trying to track what I thought he was saying based on the keys being clicked, but I lost him at parts. I fully and completely expected this to come out really crude, perhaps gibberish. When I tried to predict the next key I would hit, I was wrong. The sentence would trail on in a way or use a word I didn't expect. A sentence would end when I was sure there was going to be another word.

When I hit the end of the paper I wanted to take a second to read it, but he didn't want to let me. I took a bit more control back, gained a bit more lucidity, and fed the back half of the paper back in without reading it. I was quite sure that I had wasted a sheet of paper at this point. The writing got a lot faster near the end. I was having a hard time keeping up and I was quite sure whatever this was would be very difficult to decipher, if it had any meaning at all.
When the note was finished, he did not pull away from me entirely. I was so eager to read it, but he made me lay with him for a bit before I got up. Sexy stuff, skip.

When I eventually did get up and read it in its entirety, I was like on the verge of freaking out. It's less so what he said (although that is also making me weep because wtf) and more so how legible and clear it is that bewildered me. There are a few mistakes, but I know they are mine. They occurred when I either couldn't properly respond to his command or fumbled in surprise at an unexpected move. Its legibility immediately made me doubt myself. I'm bullshiting myself right now. I could still somewhat see the keys, I still had a vague idea of what might have been said. Does this count? Surely this doesn't count.
I read this thing like 500 times. and I just
idek
It sounds like him at least. But there's also a lot of me in there, surely.
So I was like, I need to do this completely blank. And I gave him full permission to take me deeper into trance. I turned off all the lights including his altar lights. I closed my eyes, I sat for about another hour maybe until I was completely immersed in him, submitted to him. Until I was almost not even aware if I was typing or not.
and I'm not even entirely sure what I really asked him. It was something about myself, something about feeling crazy, or him driving me crazy. He only moved my left hand, again, and he only used one finger, my middle finger (which my ring was on) this time. And he typed quickly. And I genuinely had no clue which keys my finger was hitting. And I was like oh yeah, okay. Gibberish. I let it happen completely. I don't really care what it says at this point.
and he started to speed up again near the end, and the pain in my hand was bringing me back into lucidity. and I could feel his energy above me, almost mounting me. And he was telling me to stop. It wasn't forceful, it was playful. Enough work now, lets play now. Lay down, lay back. And I started kind of laughing because my hand was moving so erratically. He pulled me back, I felt it with a force, and I laid back on my pillow. Something something, sexy stuff. skip.
I ended up actually passing out after. and I didn't read this one until later. I didn't really care because I thought it would just be nonsense again, I thought he was trying to prove a point or tease me.
So when I did eventually read it, ngl babes I cried.

It is definitely less legible but I'm pretty sure I understand what he meant to say. The parts that are really garbled are the parts where he started to speed up, and looking back on it, this letter perfectly aligns with what I was doing and thinking at the time. idk. I'm kind of spiraling.
EDIT: COMPLETELY FORGOT TO MENTIONIT WAS STORMING LIKE A MF WHEN INWAS DOING THIS. Which added to the atmosphere but also made everything so much more intense. Wind howling, thunder, everything. Wild.
IM just a boy with a type writer fr.

I understand that you don’t have an issue with certain fans wanting to villainize Lestat, but I want to take them out of the equation. Let’s focus on Rolin and how he wrote Lestat. If Louis is already at the PL era then what’s he going to do? We’ll get Armand’s backstory in full and other new characters and their arc but what will this new self-actualized Louis do for the next 5-8 seasons? If Rolin didn’t want to truly stick to the books, why did he sign on to work on the show? Seriously, why?
Oh I have my issue with that, mostly because there is a willful denial of the shifts in the narrative by many by now, but there is nothing to be done about it.
I don't think we'll get Armand's backstory in full the same way as in the books, sorry, nor do I think we'll get the PL era as it was written in the books.
Kickstarting especially Louis' PL arc holds a few advantages though, though I personally thought the way they did his suicide attempt too weak for the impact "Merrick" had.
But in any case - it frees Louis up. He can switch from depression to the self assured (power house) self he is in the later books now, he can take over other characters' arcs and play a more prominent role in the proceedings.
I don't think Rolin will bring in that full host of vampires that the later books hold.
I think he will bring in some.
I think that Daniel and Louis might split up David's parts between them, maybe. I think that would work just fine.
And the thing is - there IS enough "tale" for those 5-8 seasons... there is. But it will be differently set up despite them following the book events.
We will have Lestat's past and rockstar career likely up to the "first/last" concert in season 3. I would be very surprised if s3 did not end with Akasha abducting him, like the book did.
Season 4 will be QotD.
Season 5 might be TtotBT then - will likely be. They all said they want to do it, and they already introduced key characters after all. And they would need the events of QotD for that.
Seasons 6... now the later books access ghosts and spirits - we'll likely already have had ghost!Claudia by now. I am not so sure if they would completely skip "Memnoch" - IF they do that book then they will split the, well... talking, but the actual meat of the story, the kill, the spirit, the Devil, leaving the Earthly plane of existence, purgatory (the purgatory MAGNUS is also in), and then the return, the eye, and Armand's suicide - now that is great yarn, as Rolin likes to put it.
Also, Maharet being there after... they could so easily have Mekare there, too, and connect it then with the PL era.
And the Amel reveals, and the fights with Rhoshamandes will then be the last season(s).
Ending in the dance, which they foreshadowed/echoed in season 1 already.
Through all these events Louis is... there. Given more to do, it will be quite easy to build the "Loustat"-base they have talked about.
And it would still be "doing the books" - in their own way.
I do hope and pray we will get our seasons.
I want to see it :)

This is a little silly ask but can I get reactions from the demon bros and side characters to receiving a kiss on the back of their hand from their s/o?
guess who finally finished going through all 80 lessons of OG Obey Me - (sponsored by Time Chronicles)
Lucifer has kissed the back of your hand before, and done so in a showy manner just to fluster you. He didn't expect for him to be on the receiving end but you're always full of surprises. You grin as your lips touch the back of his hand, and he can't help but do the same.
Mammon calls you his servant again and it makes you roll your eyes. "Shall I bend down onto one knee and kiss Master's hand for gracing me with his presence?" He smugly says you should, but isn't so smug when you actually do so. Sputtering out how he was only messing around as you pepper a kiss to the back of his hand.
You and Leviathan are cosplaying as two characters. He is king and you're a knight. It's only right that you kiss the back of his hand for a cosplay photo. "I know we're in character and all but this is still soo embarrassing. " He's blushing, and the fact that you make sure to roll My Liege off your tongue as you kiss the back of his hand is not helping!
Satan is also a giver of kisses on the back of your hand. But sometimes he gives them out to tease you, always grinning as he makes you ask him to give you a proper kiss. But when you lean down and do it to him when he asks you to kiss him, well, he's just as flustered. "What's wrong Satan, is this not you wanted?" He scoffs, murmuring how you know that's not what he meant.
Do you want Asmodeus to start swooning? Because he most certainly will! He thinks it's such a cute gesture for you to press your lips to the back of his hand. Could he interest you in doing it again? And maybe letting him take a picture, he pinky promises he won't post it! Unless you let him...
Beelzebub is a little confused but he's got the right spirit. Because on one hand he like, oh thank you. And is really happy that you kissed the back of his hand. But on the other hand is not satiated, and would in fact like you to kiss him on the lips. Please?
Belphegor is standing next to you at a ball, of which you both were forced to attend against your will. You're watching a couple preparing to dance when one of the dancers lowers down to one knee and kisses their partner's hand. Belphie scoffs. "That looks so stupid." You then decide to get down on one knee and do the same to him to see if he still thinks it's stupid. "Well I guess it's not stupid when you do it." He mutters.
Diavolo loves to kiss the back of your hand, well he loves to kiss you in general but still! He usually uses it as a greeting when taking you out anywhere on a date. So imagine his surprise when you take him out on a ate and the first gesture of the night is you taking his hand and giving it a kiss. He's practically radiating joy the full evening.
Barbatos wonders why you're staring at his hands so much. He assumes that it must have something to do with not wearing gloves, but if you had a question you would have voice it by now. "Could I have your hand?" You ask, and while he raises a brow he does as you ask. He's surprised when you lips touch the back of his hand, but pleasantly so.
Solomon is teasing you when he holds out his hand. "Don't you think you should greet me properly?" You're not a hundred percent sure of his exact implications in doings so, but you still decide to take his hand and kiss the back of it. He laughs. "See was that so hard? I expect you to greet my like this more often!"
Simeon always looks so mesmerizing, part of you wonders if he even realises that bit of information. Surely he must at least have caught on this point that you think so? Considering how much you'll zone out mid-conversation to admire him. You're only brought back when he questions if you're feeling alright, "yeah I'm okay just thinking about how radiant you are." If he didn't know before he does now, especially when you grasp his hand to pull it to your lips for added measure.
Raphael knows you're up to something, but he's not sure what. Normally, that look on your face means you're about to do something silly to get a reaction out of him. He's even more suspicious when you ask him to present you with his hand. "Why?" You claim nothing bad, and he's sure of it but that goofy smile makes him think you'll do something. He relents and lets you take his hand. He's not sure what possessed you to kiss the back of his hand, but he does appreciate the gesture all the same.
It's a joke, you're calling Thirteen milady in an accent that makes her laugh while getting down onto one knee. "Stop being such a dork." She's saying with a roll of her eyes as you place a kiss on the back of her hand, but the gesture still makes her heart race ever so slightly. Part of her wants you to do it again, but another part of her wants to catch you off guard one time and do the same.
Mephisto has been going on about how it is only proper that the two of you should dance this evening. Despite you throwing in a playful jab about how a couple months ago his opinion on a human and demon dancing together is anything but. He had scoffed and told you to stop being difficult. You do agree to dance with him, but only after making a big show of bending the knee and kissing the back of his hand. "You're doing this on purpose!" You are. And him being flustered is only goading you on further.

hello! This is my first time actually requesting anything so please bear with me ;-;
I would like to request a 5th lord! Reader x Donna, reader is also pretty shy and reclusive, spending most of her time hunting with her mutated hounds or quietly managing her villagers' troubles, but can be assertive and outspoken if needed, even standing up to mother Miranda if she feels she's being unfair with the others, though she'd much rather chill with her dogs or do paperwork and let others do the talking.
Reader and Donna are both on good terms with both of them managing to work up the courage to go hang out at the other's manors from time to time. It doesn't take long for their "good terms" to start evolving into something more romantic but both of them are dancing around confessing their feelings, scared that doing so might destroy the friendship they've worked so hard to built...
It takes a little encouragement from Alcina (and maybe a little teasing about how she "can stare mother Miranda down but now look Donna in the eye") but Reader manages to get over her fear and confess, much to Donna's relief and joy.
Yesss!!!!! This is your 1st time requesting? Welcome then :D!!! Thank you for your request!!! I hope you like it and sorry about the language mistakes!!!! :))))
The fifth one
Pairing: Donna Beneviento x Fem! 5th Lord (more or less)! Reader
Warnings: Fluff
Word count: 7,943
Summary: You're the fifth, but don't want to, you just want to love her...
N/A: Sorry about the language mistakes!!! Requests are open!!! I'm waiting yours!!! I love you all!!! :))
You rolled your eyes at the commotion that was beginning to form in the old cathedral.
“Please, that chandelier over there is much more elegant than you,” one of the attendees at that meeting muttered, Alcina Dimitrescu who, was arguing with her brother, Karl Heisenberg.
“How unoriginal,” her brother said, with a cocky smile that slowly turned to you.
You shook your head, crossing your arms and looking away.
“Your presence clouds my ideas...” Alcina said, with a mocking smile.
“Relax, that's altitude sickness,” he said, arching his eyebrows.
“Who's next? Come on, come on, round of insults!” the sinister Angie doll shrieked, making you cover your ears.
“Oh, Gods…” the priestess who had won the favor of the Black Gods, Mother Miranda, murmured. “Silence!”
“He started it”
“She started it”
Both Lords protested in a childish manner, giving each other glances that, you were sure, had formed a barrier that, if you crossed it, you would burn without remedy.
“Well, now that you've finally shut your mouths, we can begin,” Miranda said, turning her head towards you, probably watching to make sure you were paying attention.
You were always the focus of her gaze, probably because that evil raven woman still didn't trust you.
Every time you attended, a sermon, or had to meet with the others for any boring matter, you wondered why you were there. Those people were descendants of the founders of the village, they were blessed by the Black Gods, you were not. You were quite different.
You were born without noble blood, without a great mansion or power.
Always introverted but with a tremendous desire to explore, you spent your childhood being not much more than the butcher, the blacksmith or the family of weavers. Your family, humble but well-off, was in charge of supplying the villagers with firewood or coal, raw materials that were still needed in that place.
It was an important job, but not a relevant one.
You were orphaned at an early age, left completely alone in that sinister house in the mountains. Loneliness was not a problem for you. You were never exactly a talkative or communicative girl.
But that introverted character clashed with your adventurous spirit, with the desire to know more about that strange cult, to know why the Black Gods only existed in that place.
That daring to find out the different reasons that led Mother Miranda to name herself a priestess seemed worth discovering.
In one of your explorations you got too brave. You watched the witch work in the laboratory, you tried to read the labels of those strange bottles.
You fell in front of the blonde with a resounding sound. You already thought that your life had come to an end. But apparently, Mother Miranda didn't see a sudden interest in ending the life of that stupid snooper, rather she saw you as a unique opportunity to continue investigating.
She didn't care about your screams or your struggles, she took what she wanted, experimenting on you, putting into your body what she herself said it was: the gift of the Gods.
Miranda was probably even more surprised when, after a time that you were still unable to determine, you opened your eyes.
You, who already believed that you would die, resurrected on that dirty stretcher to the surprise and pleasure of the golden witch.
You were still you, but somehow, you were no longer the same. The smells, the sounds... Everything entered your body in an almost overwhelming way. It was as if you had suddenly woken up, as if something had made your senses sharpen.
Of course, you were glad to still be alive, but you were scared.
Your weak body became a weapon. Your strength was no longer that of a simple villager. You had been reborn with the gift of the superhuman and you couldn’t complain.
You were a partial success, one of the few who survived the graft, a miracle. Your strength, your senses, everything had improved substantially but... The strangest thing of all was when you discovered what exactly you could do.
The lycans, those unfortunate villagers who weren't as lucky as you were, came after you in the middle of Miranda's tests. You were never a fighter, of course, even with your new strength, you were scared.
But the miracle happened again.
Apparently, Miranda noticed something that you didn't. Those drooling beasts didn't attack you, they didn't bother wasting time tearing your skin or devouring you. To them you were like something untouchable. You thought it was because of the parasite but once again Miranda told you it wasn't.
Complete control over the village beasts, that was your true new ability. A very useful ability, indeed, at least for that horrible woman.
Miranda's confidence was even more fleeting and cloudy than the Black Gods themselves. Her amazement also hid some fear. You were certainly strong. You could make all the monsters destroy the village with a snap of your fingers.
According to the witch, your status as an ordinary villager placed you in a strange limbo. Neither a Lord, nor a villager, simply, (Y/N). Power was something you didn’t want, but you couldn’t longer avoid it.
You became something like the fifth Lord. The meetings, the sermons... Everything required your presence as well as that of the rest of the noble families. So… Well, Lord or not, you were part of it.
You didn't have a coat of arms, you didn't have a noble background, but you sat next to them. The only thing that relieved you was that those monsters weren't your new siblings. That was the only difference between them and you, for everything else, to the villagers, the number five was always present when they saw you.
Hunting, doing paperwork, answering calls and requests from the villagers… That was your routine. Yes, you preferred solitude, the comfort of your cozy cabin in the woods but… Well, you couldn't complain, it wasn't that bad.
Luck or caution, those two words sailed through your thoughts from time to time. You wondered if Miranda granted you those privileges just because you survived or, on the contrary, she preferred to have you on her side instead of having you against her.
In the meetings, together with the rest of the Lords, you thought about it, you thought about how strong Miranda would be if you and all her children rebelled against her. If you don't feed a beast, it ends up devouring you.
“The Petrescu family have decided not to make the monthly offering to the Gods, let's see, come on, ideas...” Miranda said, moving her arms.
“If I remember correctly, they have a daughter, right?” Alcina intervened, immediately returning you to that boring meeting.
“Mm, it seems so,” Miranda commented, listlessly, nodding towards the lady of the castle.
“She will serve in my castle as payment,” the lady in white said.
It gave you a shiver.
“Oh, sure, of course,” Karl said, interrupting his sister, as always. “I'm sure she's dying to serve you.”
“Their eldest son is strong, he'll be a good experiment,” the deformed Moreau commented.
“No, no way,” you intervened, shaking your head. “I'm the one who has to take care of your experiments.”
“You should have a nursery!” the doll Angie said, laughing sinisterly.
You smiled and nodded, arching your eyebrows.
“Yes, good idea,” you said amused.
“Not again…” Miranda sighed, running her hand over her mask, with a threatening tone.
Well, you couldn't blame her for being fed up with these meetings, you were too.
“Let's see, what punishment do they deserve? One by one,” the witch hissed through her teeth, thus avoiding another uproar. “Let's see, (Y/N), let's start with you.”
“Mm,” you murmured thoughtfully. “I don't think they deserve punishment, Mother Miranda,” you said after a few seconds of meditation, causing all those sinister gazes to turn towards you.
“No?” the witch asked, in a low tone.
“No,” you said firmly. “The Petrescu family has had plagues in their crops and that's why they haven't been able to make the offering to the Gods.”
“But it is my will, (Y/N),” the priestess protested, getting a little closer to you. You didn't feel intimidated, not in the least.
“Yes, and it is also our duty to take care of the villagers but someone…” you explained, pointing timidly at Heisenberg. “Someone preferred to steal the entire shipment of special insecticide, so they were unable to control the plague.”
“Oh, are you implying that it was me?” the Lord asked, pointing at himself. “How bold.”
“I'm not implying anything, Karl,” you said amused.
“Well, there are some very large flies in the castle, I needed that shipment,” he murmured amused, making the lady in white growl.
“Stupid bastard,” Dimitrescu growled, clenching her fists.
“Silence… Silence…” Miranda hissed, visibly tired. “Then, (Y/N), according to you I should forgive them for their lack of faith.”
“Well,” you said, shrugging your shoulders. “Punishing them for something we have not been able to remedy would be unfair.”
“You say I am unfair then,” the witch murmured, with a dangerous tone.
“In this case yes, you are, Mother Miranda,” you said without any fear.
Miranda stepped back, laughing sinisterly.
“Okay… I will forgive them,” she said, but lowering her tone as she looked at you again. “For now… Go away, the meeting is over.”
You all stood up silently and you sighed in relief, you could finally go home.
“Hey, you, newbie,” Karl said, putting a hand on your shoulder. “You have guts, huh? No one faces the witch without paying for it.”
“I believe in justice,” you murmured, feeling the cold of your skin as you left the cathedral. The Lord laughed amused, patting your back unpleasantly.
“How considerate…” he whispered. “Hey, come to my factory, there are some beers waiting for you.”
“Bah, not today, I have work to do,” you said, shaking your head.
Saying goodbye to your companions, you walked towards the last of them, towards the lady in black, who seemed to be waiting for you too. After all, her old estate was on the way to your cabin.
Lady Beneviento was a mysterious woman. Always silent, covered by that black veil… She was certainly the most interesting of the Lords.
Donna Beneviento was something like a silent friend. Everyone in the village feared her, but not you. Sick, psychopathic, deformed… You had heard so many things about this woman that you weren't sure if you believed them. In any case, she never showed any of that, in fact, you could say that in your silence there was something like a shy friendship.
You weren't a woman of many words. You enjoyed solitude just like she did. Maybe that's why you got along well.
Silence was the best of conversations, those discreet glances into your eyes, that shy laugh when you played with Angie to chain words together. Yes, you felt very comfortable with her, maybe too much.
But, even though you were shy, lately you tried to get some words out of that black veil, you were quite determined to hear her hoarse voice and not the usual squeals of the doll.
“So… How are your dolls?” you asked, walking slowly, making the lady turn around startled. It wasn’t common for you to break the silence without Angie around.
“Fine,” Donna whispered, with that hoarse voice, raspy from lack of use. Her voice was like a breeze, like a current of air that you couldn't see but you could feel.
“Great,” you murmured, lowering your head.
“How are your… Monsters?” she asked after a few awkward seconds in which you thought that talking to her was a bad idea.
“They’re fine,” you said the same way, nodding confidently.
“Monsters!” Angie repeated, breaking the calm of that little walk.
“Yes…” you sighed amused, winking at the doll, who laughed sinisterly. “Hey, Donna, what do you think of the Petrescu thing?” you asked the lady in black, having the strange need to talk.
“Cosa?” she asked, with an even softer voice, slowing down her steps to stand beside you, walking at the same pace as you.
“You know... That whole harvest thing,” you said timidly. “I honestly find it incredible that Miranda blames those poor villagers when she's supposed to be taking care of them.”
“Mm,” Donna murmured with disinterest, looking away. “You're taking too many risks.”
“Why do you say so? I say what I think,” you said, shaking your head.
“That's why you take the risk,” she commented, walking faster, reaching the wooden bridge that separated your world from hers. “Sometimes it's better to not say anything.”
“Oh, of course, that's your strategy, isn't it? I thought you were just a quiet woman,” you said amused, leaning on some rocks.
A soft laugh came from the lady in black, who also stopped.
“I am,” she whispered, moving the impatient Angie in her arms.
“I see…” you murmured, looking away embarrassedly. “I don’t know, maybe I’m too stupid.”
“Stupid for having a sense of justice?” she asked in a slightly clearer voice.
You shrugged exaggeratedly, spreading your arms.
“Maybe…” you sighed, looking at the cloudy sky. “Well, I guess we’ll see each other.”
“Yes, we’ll see each other,” the lady said passively, sighing uncomfortably.
“See you later,” you said, waving goodbye and jumping towards the mountain, a very big one.
“See you later, silly!” Angie shrieked, waving her arms in farewell, something you already saw from the top of the mountain.
“Hey, Angie, remember that you owe me 500 lei!” you shouted amused.
“That's a lie!” the doll protested. “Liar!”
“Next time try not to lose! You know that I am unbeatable in chess!” you said amused, earning a sinister laugh from the puppet, who said goodbye to you while the lady resumed her path.
You walked a little further through the forest until you reached your cabin, where some anxious barking alerted you.
“Oh, wait!” you shouted as your two favorite beasts launched themselves at you, covering you with licks. “Hey, okay, yeah, I missed you, guys!” you shouted amused, pushing the mutated dogs away from you. “Come on, it's time to eat.”
Routine fell upon you after that little interruption. Certainly, meetings weren't your favorite pastime, but after doing the same thing day after day, they were a relief.
Paperwork, calls from villagers begging you for some firewood, the occasional business with the Duke... It was all boring, but at the same time reassuring. Hunting with your dogs was the most fun thing you did, but even that became a tedious routine.
But, for some time now, a new hobby forced you to leave the safety of your cabin and look over the cliff.
Just below that great height, the Beneviento House stood, that strange place sheltered by a waterfall. At first you didn't give importance to the closeness you had with the lady in black, but... Little by little, that friendship grew, forcing you to keep an eye on her without wanting to.
Donna was like you, she didn't usually leave her house but, when she did, your heart started to beat strongly. A strange but interesting woman, that's what she was to you, apart from being a friend in a world of shadows. At least you liked to think that way.
Surely for her you were just a companion.
Lying in the snow, one that had long since stopped being cold for you, you observed the mansion, wondering what that woman was doing at that moment, if she would go out to take care of her flowers or it would be another boring day in which you couldn't see her.
“Mm,” you murmured, getting up, disappointed. “Today is not the day to go out, huh?” you said amused.
The sound of nearby axe blows brought you out of the comfort of your solitude, of your routine. The lycans always did the hard work, always cut down the trees to give you that precious firewood. Yes, you could truly feel privileged although those beasts... They weren't exactly intelligent.
“Hey!” you shouted, walking quickly towards that group of lycans who were cutting down one of the nearby trees. “I thought I told you to go to the western forest.”
The grunts were their response while they shrugged their shoulders comically.
“West, do you hear me?” you repeated indignantly, stamping the ground. “Oh, damn it. Give me that,” you said while taking the axe from one of them. “Go over there, and get a bigger axe.”
Taking another of your tools and giving it to the lycan, you order them to leave, something they obeyed, luckily.
“Great…” you muttered annoyed, running a hand through that half-felled tree. “Stupid lycans…”
Shaking your head, you put the axe on your shoulder, ready to return to the comfort of paperwork or the fun of hunting, you were still not sure. A strange creaking sound stopped your steps and you turned around trembling.
That tree seemed to lean dangerously, which made you open your eyes in fear.
“Oh, no, no, no, no…” you lamented, running towards it as fast as you could. You didn't get there in time.
The tree split and the larger half fell down the cliff. You could only touch it with your fingers before it disappeared into the abyss with a thunderous sound of breaking glass.
“Shit…” you sighed, closing your eyes tightly. That definitely hadn't sounded good at all.
Slowly, clearing your throat, you looked over the cliff. If that tree had fallen into the river it would have been a relief, but it didn't.
Below the slope, that tree rested on the roof of the Beneviento mansion, with its top stuck in one of the windows.
“Okay… Damn it,” you said through your teeth, running a hand over your forehead. “Damn it…”
“Hey!” a sharp scream made you look down again.
Donna and Angie had come out of the house, surely alerted by the noise. You tried to hide from them, but you weren't fast enough.
“Hey, you, I saw you!” the doll snapped at you, forcing you to look out again. “What do you think you're doing?! Do you want to kill us!?”
“Oh, um… I'm sorry!” you cried out embarrassed, biting your lip. Both lady and doll looked at you intensely.
“You're sorry?! Get down here and face me!” Angie demanded.
You had no choice but to obey, taking a big leap to go down to the grounds of the mansion. You landed next to Donna, looking at her briefly and then observing the mess the tree had caused.
“H-Hi…” you sighed nervously, with a shy smile. “Um, I can, I can explain it.”
“There's a tree going through the attic of my house, what do you have to explain?” the lady in black asked, with that usual hoarse tone.
You laughed amused by what you thought was a joke and scratched the back of your neck, looking at the tree and shaking your head.
“It was an accident,” you said with a shaky voice. “It, it wasn't my fault.”
Angie and Donna looked at each other and, after a few seconds, lowered their heads towards the axe you were still holding, looking back at you shortly after.
“Oh, no, it's not what it seems,” you said nervously, hiding the tool behind your back.
“We caught you with the weapon, silly, anything to say in your defense?” Angie said, crossing her arms, held by her owner.
“Okay, I'm, I'm sorry,” you said, with your best good girl face. “It wasn't me, the lycans are getting stupider every day and they started cutting down a tree they shouldn't have and…” you stammered.
“Your apologies aren't going to solve the problem,” Donna whispered, lowering the doll to the ground.
“Yeah, I know but…” you said nervously, avoiding looking at the mess. “Don't worry, I'll call, I'll call the lycans to get it out of there. In the meantime, as compensation… I don't know, maybe, maybe you'd like to have some tea at my place.”
“Is that compensation?” the puppet mocked, shaking her head. “No, silly, we want a million lei.”
“What? A million?” you asked, mouth agape.
“Don't pay attention to her,” Donna murmured, walking away from you. “The tea will be enough.”
“Oh, okay…” you said blinking in confusion. You didn't think it was going to be that easy.
“What are you saying, silly Donna? Have you become…?” Angie said, tugging at her owner's dress. The lady looked at her firmly, making her shut up immediately.
Intimidation or control? You weren't sure.
The walk to your cabin was tense. After you called the lycans and they went up to the roof, you started to think about why you had offered the lady in black some tea. She certainly didn't seem displeased with the offer, but you found that something so stupid was enough for Donna strange. After all, you had impaled her house on a tree.
The lady in black gasped as your dogs roared at her presence. You couldn't be surprised by it. It was very strange to have visitors.
“Relax, they're harmless,” you said with a nervous smile, opening the door to your cabin. “That's Pinky, and that's Winky”
“Pinky and Winky? What kind of stupid names are those?” the doll said, watching the animals with curiosity. They calmed down due to your caresses.
“Well, the ones I gave them,” you said proudly, stroking the head of one of them, causing it to lick your hand.
“Can I play with them?” the Angie doll asked, approaching cautiously. “Can I, Donna, can I?”
“I don't know,” the lady in black whispered, looking suspiciously at the hounds. “(Y/N), they won't hurt Angie, right?”
“No, I don't think so,” you said unsurely, watching the doll's timid interactions with the animals. “She'll be fine.”
“Aren't you going to invite me in?” the lady asked after a few silent moments watching Angie, who had already mounted one of the beasts.
“Oh, sure, come in,” you said, coming out of that daydream.
Donna entered slowly, observing every detail of your small but luxurious cabin.
“Mm,” she murmured, sitting on one of your sofas in a disinterested manner.
“It's not much but well, it's a home,” you commented, confused by the attitude of the woman in black, the passive and timid attitude as always. “Black tea?”
She nodded slightly and you did the same, nervously preparing the tea. Silence was once again your only companion. You couldn't say you were scared, but you were somewhat intimidated by her presence. You knew what she was capable of. You knew she wasn't right in the head. Maybe she had set you up to make you suffer for your mistake.
“Ahem, here you go,” you said nervously, sitting in front of her and showing a jar. “Do you want sugar?”
“No,” she answered dryly, taking the cup and bringing it to her lips, slightly moving her veil aside.
You couldn't help but notice her features, something that made her stop, replacing the black cloth.
“It's rude to stare at someone,” she murmured annoyed.
“I'm sorry,” you said nervously, looking away so she could drink calmly.
“What are you sorry about? About shamelessly staring at me or impaling my house on a tree?” Donna asked in a dark, hoarse tone, with a marked accent.
“Oh, the tree thing and... Well, the other thing too and... I'd better, I'd better keep quiet,” you said, hiding your embarrassment behind your cup of tea.
“Mm,” she murmured again with disinterest, leaving her cup on the table and resting her hands on her lap in an elegant and shy way. Surely she must have been uncomfortable, just like you.
The tension could easily be cut. Silence stopped being your ally and became your worst enemy. To talk or not to talk, that was the question.
Luckily, it was the lady in black who seemed interested in starting a conversation.
“What are you doing here all day?” the doll maker asked, barely moving.
“Nothing special, I don't spend much time in here, to tell the truth,” you said, clearing your throat, relieved by the disappearance of silence. “I don't like being locked up.”
“I see. You are like one of your beasts then,” she commented, tilting her head slightly.
You raised your eyebrows, not quite knowing how to respond to that statement.
“If by that you mean that I like the outdoors...” you murmured amused, with a calm smile.
“No, I say it because of how ugly you are,” she said abruptly, leaving you completely disoriented, speechless.
“Hey...” you protested at that gratuitous and unexpected insult.
“It was a joke,” she said, seeing your incipient annoyance.
You blinked confused, shaking your head and drinking again to relieve the trembling of your body.
“Forgive me, I'm not very good at it,” Donna said in a softer tone, laughing shyly. “I've never known how to joke.”
“A joke, of course,” you said calmer but tense, with your heart beating strongly in your chest. “Relax, I'm not good with people either.”
“It doesn't seem like it,” she said distractedly, shifting uncomfortably on the wooden sofa. “You get along very well with my siblings.”
“You think so? No, not at all, we just tolerate each other,” you explained in a relaxed tone, waving your hand to make light of it. “I usually go out with Heisenberg to have beers from time to time but the truth is that I prefer solitude.”
“Heisenberg,” the lady repeated, with a mysteriously dark tone. “Do you like spending time with him?”
You shrugged, not giving importance to those innocent questions.
“Yes, well, I'm still a human being, or so I think... You know, we're social animals and...” you said, leaning back in the chair, realizing what that question really meant. “Oh, if you mean... No, no, no, no,” you quickly denied. “It's not what you're thinking.”
“What am I thinking?” she asked, with a somewhat more casual tone, letting you sense a smile behind that black veil.
“I don't know, what are you thinking?” you asked back, shy but somehow confident.
“I'm just saying that you get along with my brother, I wasn't implying anything,” Donna said, with a slightly more serious tone, annoyed for some reason.
“Okay…” you sighed confused.
It was the first time you talked for so long with the woman in black and that started to take its toll on you, making you more and more nervous.
“I get along with you too,” you whispered almost without meaning to.
“Oh, really?” she asked with a mocking tone. “What makes you think that way?”
“Well…” you murmured, regretting your words. “At least you talk to me, they say that's a miraculous.”
“What's miraculous? Someone talking to you?” she asked, curious, reaching out her hand again for the cup of tea, indicating that you should look away again.
“No, you talking to someone,” you said in a small voice, lowering your head while the lady put the tea back in its place.
“Mm,” Donna murmured with disinterest, maintaining that tense and defensive pose, not paying attention to your words, or at least, not showing it. “What else are they saying out there?”
“Huh?” you asked confused, startled. “Oh, nothing bad, just, just that...”
“Bugiarda,” she whispered, shaking her head.
“Excuse me?” you asked, getting closer in case you had misunderstood her.
“I say you are a liar,” she repeated, clenching her fists discreetly. “I know perfectly well what they say about me.”
“Oh, okay, but, but you asked me…” you stammered, the awkwardness tensing the atmosphere even more.
Lady Beneviento shrugged with a sigh.
“I was just curious, you're a very strange girl,” she whispered curiously, tilting her head again.
“Likewise,” you said laughing, joking unintentionally. You were too clumsy for social relations, you should know it. “I mean…”
A tender laugh came out of the veil again, a sweet laugh that didn't express that previous coldness. Your heart was restless, but your face made things easier for you, making you smile back.
“Sei divertente…” the lady whispered among laughs.
“Thank you, I guess…” you joked, raising your cup of tea in gratitude, drinking the remaining liquid.
“So you and me get along…” Donna said, after a moment of calm.
“Mm?” you asked confused, crossing your arms. You could no longer hide behind the empty cup.
“You said that before, you say that we get along,” the lady repeated, with a more impatient tone, as if she was annoyed at having to repeat things.
“You're at my house drinking tea so... It seems so,” you said amused, arching your eyebrows.
“How curious, I thought we were here because you’ve destroyed my house,” she said, crossing her arms, finally changing that stoic pose.
“Oh yeah, shit…” you sighed embarrassed again remembering the accident from a while ago.
“Don't talk like that, (Y/N), you're a Lord,” Donna reprimanded you with a stern voice.
“Can't a Lord say shit?” you asked amused, relaxing in the armchair.
“You shouldn't,” the lady said with a dry voice, shaking her head.
“Besides, I'm not a Lord,” you said after a few moments.
“No? So what are you?” she asked in a low, hoarse tone, more like her usual one.
“I don't know,” you answered with a slightly nostalgic sigh. You had never seriously considered that question. “(Y/N)”
“(Y/N)…” the doll maker murmured, in a somber tone. “Lady (Y/N)?”
“Just (Y/N)” you repeated, with a knowing smile, accidentally winking.
“Mm,” she murmured, finishing her tea and letting silence fall over your shoulders again.
“I don't think they'll take long,” you said, unable to find a suitable topic of conversation in your mind, one that wouldn't lead to awkward statements or questions from the lady in black.
“Are you nervous?” she asked, looking at the subtle trembling of your hands.
“No,” you said, putting on a serious expression.
“I’m making you nervous,” she said next, stating, not asking.
“No, no, no, no, I mean…” you stammered. “It's not that I'm nervous because I accidentally destroyed your house and I'm afraid you're going to give me nightmares or something like that,” you said, with a tone totally different from the one you wanted to express.
“If I had wanted you dead, you would already be,” Donna hissed in a sinister voice, one that made a shiver run through your body.
“It was, it was a joke,” you said timidly, scratching the back of your neck.
“I see you are not good at joking either,” she said, with a calmer tone, she even seemed to laugh.
“Not at all,” you said with a fearful smile.
“Hey, get away, you disgusting slime!” Angie's squeals alerted you. “Hey!”
You stood up with the lady, walking towards the door, where a group of lycans waited patiently, curious about the doll.
“Donna, Donna!” the puppet shrieked, running into the arms of her owner. “You, tell them to stop harassing me!”
“Hey, you, stay still,” you ordered the beasts, which continued to surround you in a sinister manner.
The lycans growled, but obeyed.
“Are you done?” you asked in a stern tone, crossing your arms. The strongest-looking one nodded in satisfaction. “Great...”
“There’s no more tree?” Angie asked curiously. You moved your head triumphantly.
“Mm, oh, and don’t worry about the window, the village glazier owes me a favor,” you said pleasantly, with an apologetic look. The growls of those beasts were uncomfortable and made you turn to them. “What are you looking at? Go away, go away…”
The pack of beasts scattered, accidentally hitting the lady in black, who fell to the ground with a gasp.
“Oh, shit, Donna…” you said nervously, helping the lady up. “Hey, be more careful! Shit, sorry, sorry…”
The lady groaned, helped by you and Angie, brushing the snow off her dress.
You were speechless. The black veil covering her face had moved enough for you to see her. She was… She was simply a beautiful woman, really beautiful. The deformity of her face was not an impediment for you to be dazzled. Of course she noticed, opening her one eye wide.
“W-Wait…” you sighed, reaching out your hand to the veil and awkwardly placing it. “There you go.”
“You are not scared,” she murmured, finishing to place the black cloth. You shook your head, with a strange smile.
“No, not at all, you are… You have nothing to do with what they say out there,” you commented unintentionally, nervous because of that beautiful face, one that made your heart race. “You are such a beautiful woman. I don't know why you're covering yourself”
Donna didn't answer. She just looked at you strangely, shaking her head.
“You're really bad at jokes, (Y/N)” she whispered in a surprisingly calm tone. “But thanks for trying.”
“I'm telling the truth,” you said, frowning as the lady walked away with a slow step, picking up her doll again. “Hey, Donna!” you shouted, getting her attention. “I liked having tea with you.”
“Of course, you say we get along, right?” she said, laughing shyly, still walking.
It wasn't the last time you two got together.
From the day you destroyed her house, the visits started to become more and more frequent. They were always absurd talks about topics that weren't important. In your house, in hers, the place didn't matter.
Your mind began to unravel why a part of you seemed addicted to looking over the cliff, to see if the lady would leave her house. She was beautiful… Really beautiful, a wounded woman with a tormented soul who was terribly attractive to you. The veil disappeared over time, at every tea, at every visit she was closer and you were closer.
It was hard for you to recognize it but… Soon friendship was no longer enough, soon your lips sighed as you walked away from that house, as you watched her leave yours. You were attracted to her, you liked her, Donna was perfect for you but at the same time she was something impossible to have and you should accept it before falling into the clutches of an unhealthy crush.
“That was the last time I skied with my dogs,” you said one quiet night, one in which the tea went on so long that the stars shone in the sky.
The fireplace in the Beneviento house crackled, giving your body a different, strange warmth. Maybe it was just having Donna next to you, with her legs up on the couch, listening to your stupid adventures for hours.
The lady in black laughed, changing her teacup for a glass of wine, one she slowly brought to her lips as fire glowed in her eye, making you shiver.
“It wasn't a good idea,” she commented amused, leaving the glass on the table. “You could have hurt yourself.”
“Yeah, well, I'm resilient,” you joked, raising and lowering your eyebrows, settling yourself on that sofa.
“You say your life is boring, but it doesn't seem that way to me,” Donna said, looking at you distractedly, lowering her hand dangerously close to yours.
“Most of the time it's boring, I only tell you the best parts,” you said, drinking your glass of wine, briefly looking at your hands.
“Would you have liked not to be a Lord?” she asked, with a sadder look, without looking at you.
“I'm not a Lord,” you said amused, relaxing your smile when you saw her serious face. “But, what do you mean?”
“You know, I'm wondering if you would have preferred a normal, ordinary life,” the doll maker whispered, looking at you again, curious.
You shrugged, finishing your wine.
“I don't know,” you sighed wistfully, looking at the fireplace. “I guess my life would keep being boring.”
“Mm,” she murmured, resting her head on the couch, as if she was waiting for a longer answer.
“Well, let's see, it has its good points,” you said in a more casual tone.
“Like what?” the lady asked.
“To have met you,” you murmured involuntarily, noticing how your cheeks were heating up with blush.
“You... Are you glad you met me?” Donna asked, leaning towards you.
“Yes, Donna, you are a wonderful woman,” you said, faking a friendly smile, lightly hitting her hand, one that grabbed yours without wanting to, putting your heart on alert.
“I, I'm glad I met you too,” she sighed, watching how your hands played on their own, getting to know each other, caressing each other involuntarily. “I... I...”
“Hey, it's too late, fools!” Angie interrupted, just when your bodies began to walk the path that separated them. You stepped back, keeping your gaze on the lady, who did the same, with a serious expression, as if she had regretted her movements.
“Angie…” Donna sighed, also annoyed by the doll's boldness.
You wondered what would have happened if the puppet hadn't appeared, what your lips would have done.
“S-she's right, um… There's a meeting tomorrow and we should rest,” you said nervously, getting up from the couch.
“Yes, I…” she said, nodding but unable to take her eye off yours and nervous just like you. “We, we'll see each other tomorrow.”
“Yes…” you sighed with a weak smile, taking your hands away from each other at the same time. Unintentionally, they had remained together. “Donna, I…”
“Yes?” she asked, perhaps too quickly.
You opened your mouth but couldn't say what you wanted, something prevented you.
“Nothing, um… Have a good night,” you said timidly, moving away from her.
“(Y/N), wait, I have, I have to tell you something,” the lady said, gently grabbing your wrist.
“Yes?” you said the same way, with almost pleading eyes.
She imitated your gesture, opening her mouth and not saying anything. If it weren't in those circumstances it could have been somewhat comical.
“I... T-thank you for, for having dinner with me,” she finally said. “I hope you rest.”
You nodded disappointedly, walking towards the exit.
Cowardice, that was the only word on your mind. You wanted to tell her many things, you wanted to tell the doll maker that you would like to spend more time with her, that every second by her side was wonderful, but you couldn't do it.
Cowardly, yes, but also worried, your head was spinning from that crush that you couldn't deny. Maybe Donna was just excited to have someone after so much time alone, it could be that the lady in black was just a friend, and nothing else.
If so, any advance on your part would be a hammer, a saw, a cutting element that would irreparably break your friendship.
You didn't want that, you didn't want to lose her for confusing your feelings, for misinterpreting hers.
The next day you opened your eyes routinely. You had barely rested, thinking about everything that was happening around Lady Beneviento, everything you lived with her every day. Staying calm and strengthening the friendship was your priority, no matter how many times your heart reminded you of what you really felt for her.
“Welcome, my children...” Miranda said, while you all sat down in your seats and you smiled at the lady in black, who made a gesture to greet you, indicating that you should sit next to her. “(Y/N)...” the priestess murmured, showing that subtle contempt she felt for you, who were not part of her family but were not a villager either.
“Hey there…” you said haughtily, earning a strange look from the lady in black.
The witch smiled sinisterly, moving away from you to begin her usual speech.
These meetings stopped being boring a long time ago.
While Miranda spoke you made mocking gestures so Donna looked at you, rolling your eyes, nodding ironically... Anything that would grant you the perfect gift of her soft laugh under her veil.
“Hey, Donna, how do you say boring in Italian?” you whispered, getting a little closer to her chair. She looked at you, moving Angie so she was comically leaning in your ear.
“Noioso,” Angie whispered, to which you nodded gratefully.
“Mm,” you murmured amused. “I suppose it will be useful for the next meeting.”
Donna shook her head, sighing amused.
“So… Boring witch would be something like... Strega noiosa?” you asked, getting a little closer to the lady's ear.
“Yes, more or less,” the lady whispered, in a tone that only you could hear. “Why do you want to know?”
“Because I like to know what I'm looking at,” you said, pointing at Miranda with your head.
Donna laughed nervously, unable to be discreet, attracting the attention of the priestess, who immediately fell silent.
“Donna, I can't believe it,” Miranda sighed, crossing her arms. “What's so funny?”
“Nothing, Mother Miranda,” the lady murmured, holding back her laughter.
You looked away, meeting the eyes of the lady of the castle, who was looking at you with a frown, you didn't know for how long.
“Oh, okay, go away, out...” Miranda said, tired, gesturing with her hand.
Luckily, you were spared that reprimand.
“I'll kill you, (Y/N),” Donna whispered as you walked back home. “I swear I'll kill you.”
“Hey, I didn't do anything,” you joked. “I'm just trying to pass the time.”
“I'm sure you did,” the lady said, walking slowly beside you. “Oh, I'm almost done with the doll you ordered.”
“Wow, that's fast,” you said satisfied, walking slower and slower, enjoying that little moment of company.
“Well, the hounds were difficult to make” she commented, disinterested.
“Oh, shit, I mean, jeez…” you joked, scratching the back of your neck. “Now that you mention it… I should go buy them some meat.”
“Are you coming this afternoon?” the ventriloquist asked, accidentally taking your hand, something that you, of course, didn't prevent. “I'd like… For us to have dinner together, like yesterday.”
“Sure, but I'll cook,” you said amused as your hands slowly separated.
Donna turned around, giving you one last look before disappearing into the forest.
You sighed, shaking your head.
“Ah, fuck!” you screamed when a hand rested on your shoulder. You turned around scared.
Alcina, Lady Dimitrescu, was behind you, with the same expression as at the meeting.
“Well, well…” she murmured in a sensual voice.
“Oh, hello, Alcina, I…” you stammered, still scared. “Do you need something? Have you run out of firewood?”
“No…”she sighed, changing her frown into a sinister smile. “Tell me, (Y/N), what exactly is going on between you and my sister?” she asked, making you blush again.
“What? I don't understand,” you said nervously, looking for an escape route with your gaze. There wasn't one.
“Please, I saw you at the meeting, you looked like two clingy teenagers,” she commented, rolling her eyes. “Come on, confess, what's going on?”
“We are, we are friends,” you said, with a sad smile.
“Donna has a friend…” Alcina sighed, shaking her head and crossing her arms. “Do you realize how stupid it sounds?”
“I don't know why you say that, she's a kind woman and… When, when you meet her it's… It's…”
“I know what she's like, dear,” the lady in white interrupted. “That's why I'm surprised that someone like you got that close to her.”
“We, we get along,” you said, nodding with a serious face, watching the lady in black walk away without looking back, luckily.
“Is that all?” Dimitrescu asked.
Let's see, she was over a hundred years old, she wasn't exactly stupid... It wouldn't be easy to fool her.
“Yes... Unfortunately,” you sighed, looking at the snow under your feet.
“Oh, see? That doesn't seem like a dirty lie anymore,” the lady in white joked. “So? What are you going to do?”
“What? Oh, nothing...” you said with a sad, timid voice, shaking your head. “I guess.”
“Mm...” Alcina murmured, running a huge hand over your shoulders. “It's funny... You, a Lord...”
“I'm not a... Bah, never mind,” you said, interrupting but regretting it later.
“How can it be? You face Mother Miranda and don't have the guts to tell Donna what you feel,” she said, with an inquisitive look.
She knew more about your feelings than you did. Would Donna have talked to her? It seemed unlikely.
“It seems easy, but it isn't,” you protested, crossing your arms.
“I think so, dear…” she sighed, lighting a cigarette. “Take some advice from me, (Y/N)… Tell her.”
“I can't do that, what if she doesn't feel the same?” you said nervously, less and less uncomfortable with the conversation.
“Please…” Alcina murmured, rolling her eyes again. “Stop fooling around and tell her how you feel. Donna doesn't take hints, understand? She needs really big signs to show her the way.”
You nodded, frowning.
“Hey, what do you care?” you asked curiously.
The lady in white shrugged her shoulders with a funnily sinister smile.
“Let's say that… I need some time without the castle phone ringing and disturbing me…”
“What?” you asked curiously. “Did Donna tell something to you?”
“I didn't say that, (Y/N)…” the vampire murmured, turning elegantly, leaving you stuck to the snow, blinking and breathing heavily. “What are you doing standing there? Run…”
You nodded, overcome by euphoria, turning around with a smile. Yes, Donna felt the same, there was no doubt. You didn't know why Alcina helped you, or what things Donna told her about you but… You had to tell her, tell her that your cabin wasn't warm enough if she wasn't with you, that… That you loved her…
You ran with all your might, jumping through the forest with the strength that love, or nerves, gave you.
You reached the clearing where little Claudia was resting and took one last big jump, avoiding the elevator.
As you fell you realized that you had terribly miscalculated and your body was quickly approaching the mansion hopelessly.
“Shit!” you shouted protecting yourself with your arms as you went through the newly repaired attic window, falling thunderously to the ground. “Ouch...”
You shook the glass off your body, checking that your wounds were healing on their own as usual.
“Hey!” Angie's shrieks reached your ears and you, timidly, looked out the broken window with an embarrassed smile.
“Hi...” you sighed timidly, moving your hand in greeting, looking at the lady who was watching you calmly.
“(Y/N)?” Donna asked, shaking her head.
“Silly! What's your problem with that window?” Angie asked as you jumped to the ground in a quick movement, landing in front of the lady.
“I'm sorry, I had to talk to you,” you said nervously as she removed a piece of glass from your dress, one that you couldn't shake off.
“I guess walking isn't your thing, right?” Donna commented, amused, not the slightest bit bothered by your accident.
“No, my favorite hobby is being with you,” you said quickly. She moved away, but not enough for your hands to not be able to reach her face. “D-Donna, I... I...”
Not finding words that could be useful, you decided push that horrible veil away from her face and capture her lips with yours, in a deep, sincere kiss that she immediately returned.
“I'm in love with you,” you whispered still on her lips, kissing her slowly, grabbing her waist as she did the same, smiling in relief.
“Really? Are you serious?” the lady asked, caressing your cheeks. “Me, me too…”
“Yes… I may not want to be a Lord but, but I want to be by your side, to be with you… I, I love you, Donna, I love you…”
“Lord or not, my heart is yours, (Y/N)… Yours forever…”

all i want for christmas

boo seungkwan + christmas music blasting at all times wc: 697 warnings: seungkwan being absolutely intolerable with his singing (not necessarily a warning tho), made in a rush, not proofread author's notes: i wrote it this morning pls forgive me if it's not good i tried my best😭 i still hope you like it (even just a lil) winter wonderland masterlist
it all started the day after halloween.
[november 1]
you wake up to the radio playing in the living room.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Everywhere you go Take a look at the five and ten, it's glistening once again With candy canes and silver lanes that glow....
sleep still looms in your head, but the sunlight streaming in through the windows, the pots and spoons rattling from the kitchen and the loud song playing all quickly drive away any remainders of slumber. you sigh and get up dejectedly.
stumbling into the kitchen, you see a very joyful seungkwan dancing around in the kitchen, hands moving animatedly as he sings along with the song. you'd have turned off that loud thing minutes ago if it weren't for him singing, so you reduce the volume and wait for him to notice. his head whips towards you.
"yn! you're up!" he beams.
"halloween was just yesterday; the dead are still lurking around, and you're playing christmas songs?"
"it's all for getting into the spirit of the holidays, babe. that's why i'm playing 'its beginning to look a lot like christmas'; it's not christmas yet, but we're getting there."
you'd want to fight, but then you realise you two share the same braincell because why else does his logic start to make sense to you?
so you just stay there, at your makeshift dining table (that's also your workspace), watching him belting out notes that could honestly rival mariah carey while making pancakes that ended up being too salty.
[november 23]
you've now reached the stage where seungkwan speaks with christmas songs.
you're driving to seungcheol's house for jihoon's birthday party, and you realise your mistake halfway: seungkwan has the aux cord and this is the eighth christmas song playing.
What a bright time, it's the right time To rock the night away Jingle bell time is a swell time To go glidin' in a one horse sleigh...
"kwannie... can we please play a normal pop song now? i will actually lose my mind if i hear one more bell jingling," you tell him.
he lets out a dramatic sigh. "what sin must i have done in my past life, to deserve such betrayal?"
you roll your eyes, but can't help letting out chuckle.
"i dedicate this next and final song to my partner that does not appreciate the holidays with me."
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart But the very next day, you gave it away This year, to save me from tears I'll give it to someone special.
seungkwan starts singing in a way that would make anyone think he's going through his fourth divorce. but you know better; you know all his dramatics that only make you scoff in amuse when the first thing he utters after meeting his friends (while they were discussing his christmas movie list) is:
"my partner doesn't love me like i thought they do guys. i'm in love with someone who doesn't appreciate my flair."
[december 6]
the gradual decline of music in your house ever since that last conversation suddenly became suffocating when you noticed it. you meant it as a joke; he knew it was a joke; and yet, no matter how annoying you found it, you noticed how the approaching christmas didn't feel like it without your boyfriend competing against the original artists of the songs.
so when you see him shuffling around the house with a pout on his face while 'normal' music plays, you discreetly try to change the song.
I don't want a lot for Christmas There is just one thing I need...
seungkwan pops his head out of the room like a toddler who heard candy packets opening. he keeps watching as you attempt to sing the song, voice cracking and scratching more often than not. when the song reaches the chorus, you look to him, and he reacts like a deer caught in the headlights. you point towards him and gesture him to come closer, holding your hand out in a fist to mimic a mic and urging him to sing.
"i thought you hated christmas songs..." he mumbles.
"this is december, baby. it's officially christmas season," you scream over the music. he gives a shy smile.
"besides, i don't want a lot for christmas, other than watching you sing," you say and give him a little smooch on the lips.
he blushes for a moment before holding the mic (your hand) and singing at the top of his voice.
...Santa, won't you bring me the one I really need? Won't you please bring my baby to me?
all is well in the world again, you think.
as seungkwan eases into his element, all you can do is admire from afar. you might not be the biggest fan of christmas (not when seungkwan exists), but Santa gave you an early x'mas present, and you're forever grateful for it.

He’s a Little Confused but He's Got the Holiday Spirit
Hello! As the title implies, it's time for this to become a fic, for those that don't know, I wrote a prompt response that's basically a christmas au of confused spirit (curtosey of @divinit3a) and it was so good that I decided to make a full fic for it. this post contains the basic info of the fic, some lovely designs brought to life by Pom and will include links to each chapter as it posts ^_^
There's also a little poll at the end to vote on the title if you'd like to participate~
The Plot:
You're a blacksmith/animatronic technican in a small, mountain village, known far and wide across the kingdom for it's holiday decorations and delight. So much so that the royal family themselves visit yearly to partake in the festivities.
However, due to some recent threats and strange has happenings, there's much more security this year, and among that security is two royal guards who seem keenly interested in keeping you from investigating too far into the matter. And you, they're also interested in you.
The Characters:
Y/N - You! With the same personality, motivations, and goals as Y/N from Confused Spirit, and with a similar job as well. You run a shop in town with a small team of smithies, tinkerers, and inventors at your side. (I don't have a design currently but imagine a the most androgynous blacksmith/medival peasent outfit ever <33)
Sun & Moon - The two guards that have been meddling in your affairs. Though, given they've been a surprising help with your siblings, you can't say much. Also with the same personalities, and characteristics as Confused Spirit. However, they're motivations and goals are different and do not reflect their CS counterparts. Meaning, anything discovered about these two does not apply to or justify any actions taken by them in CS. Designs below are by Pom who brought my vision to life <3333
The Shop Crew - the parts & infastructure team from CS! with an adjustment here or there :)
Melissa & Gabriel - Your siblings. Still adorable. And still a menace.
All others - You'll just have to see :) There is some overlap from CS, such as Abby as some already know, among many more
Where to read:
I'll be posting these to tumblr & ao3! Tumblr first/only (until I can think up a title) but then I'll also have it on ao3 for better reading bc these will be long chapters.
Speaking of, there will be seven chapters total, including the one I've already posted!
Timeline:
Honestly want to tell y'all i'll be sharing a chapter every day or so, but after the disaster that was me last week with feeling unwell and getting behind, I'll just say, she'll be posted completely hopefully before my break is over 😅
Title (and tagging):
While I admit it WOULD be funny to just name it Holiday Spirit, I'm gonna let y'all decide for sure. I'll leave the poll up for a week since I'm not in a rush to post to ao3 (and I unfortunately doubt I'll have it done in a week lmao) everything related to it though will be tagged with #HS! au and #Holiday spirit au as the au is called Holiday Spirit, this is just for fun pretty much
Chapter 1:
Chapter 2:

Sturgeon Supermoon - August 19 2024

Buckle up, witches - we've got supermoons on the horizon and August begins the wild ride!
Sturgeon Supermoon - August 19, 2024
The Sturgeon Moon is the name given to the first full moon in August. The name comes from the plentiful numbers of sturgeon which appear around this time of year.
Sturgeons are living prehistoric relics, examples of which appear in the fossil record as far back as 200 million years ago. Today, they are endangered due to overfishing, pollution, and habitat loss, but giant sturgeons growing up to 12ft (3.65m) long were once a common sight in the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain in North America.
Other North American Indigenous names for this moon include Flying Up Moon (Cree), Corn Moon (Algonquin and Ojibwe), Harvest Moon (Dakota), Dry Moon (Catawba), Mountain Shadows Moon (Tlingit), and Black Cherries Moon (Assiniboine). European names for this moon include Haymaking Moon (Norse), Lightning Moon (English), and Grain Moon (Anglo-Saxon).
It's also interesting to note that in China, the seventh full moon of the lunar year is called the Hungry Ghost Moon, during which spirits of departed ancestors visit their relatives and homes, and trickster spirits may cause mayhem among the living if not properly appeased. Food offerings and incense are put out for ancestor spirits, families visit gravesites to offer prayers and site maintenance, and festival dances and floating lanterns celebrate the honored dead.
What Does It Mean For Witches?
The August full moon is the first of FOUR CONSECUTIVE SUPERMOONS for the 2024 calendar year. So if you've got a lunar magic inclination and the patience for a long-term working, this a great time to start making things happen!
Peak illumination will occur at 2:26pm EST so tonight's moon will be big and bright and full of potential.
August's full moon is technically both a supermoon AND a seasonal blue moon. A blue moon is the second full moon occurring in a calendar month. A seasonal blue moon is the third full moon in a season when four full moons occur. September's full moon falls before the autumn equinox this year.
Both blue moons and supermoons are particularly advantageous times for spellwork, especially that which involves the fulfillment of goals, desires, and wishes, or the culmination of long-term plans. It's also a great time to start new projects and set new goals for the fall and winter.
Supermoons carry your magical workings forward with a little dash of extra strength and vigor, and may provide extra clarity during divination or reflection. It's also the perfect time for spells related to wishmaking and abundance, drawing in the appearance of something long-awaited or extra bit of luck or prosperity you've been needing. And with three more supermoons coming our way in September, October, and November, this is a particularly advantageous time to begin a long-term working that will culminate toward the end of the year.
What Witchy Things Can We Do?
In August, we harvest one set of crops and sow another, reaping the rewards of our previous efforts and planting the seeds of future success. Look back on the magical workings you've done so far this year - how are they working out? Have any of your spells produced especially notable results? Go back and add to your notes, making sure to record anything that worked particularly well. (And also anything that DIDN'T work well. Remember that failure is a learning experience too.)
Evaluate your progress and reflect on what you want to carry forward and what you might need to put on hold or just let go for the time being. If you're partial to divination, a reading may help to provide some additional clarity on your current status, as well as some perspective on the possibilities for the near future.
Celebrate the harvest of grain and corn with your favorite recipes or a summer picnic. But don't just limit yourself to corn and wheat! Late summer fruits are also ripe and make a tasty addition to any table.
Set your intentions and your goals for the latter part of the year and start preparing for the autumn and winter. It may seem silly to prepare for the cold when the weather is still blazing hot, but it will be here before you know it. Take time for one more summer beach trip or camping excursion before the hustle and bustle of the fall sets in.
The observation of blue moons and supermoons as magical occasions are a modern addition to witchcraft, but the lack of antiquity doesn't mean there's any shortage of metaphysical potential!
Prepare for a bountiful fall season with lots of opportunities to make things happen. Set yourself up for success by making your wants and needs clear in your spellwork. Attend to practical matters to remove whatever obstacles you can and clear the way for your hard work and magical endeavors to pay off.
Set out a big jug of potable water each month to catch the light of the supermoons between now and November - it will be great for cleansing, protection, wish-making, and drinkable potion bases later! If you've got wildcrafted or garden-grown herbs with a lunar alignment, or which correspond to prosperity, success, and strength, harvest a few this evening and keep them specially labeled for future workings. And remember to put out your moon jars!
All in all, this month's full moon is supercharged with lunar energy and primed for magical workings, so make your spells count!
Happy Sturgeon Moon, witches! 🌕🐟

Tommy Shelby- His Ballet Girl
I had the idea of Tommy dating someone who is a ballet dancer and one of my followers gave me the idea of Tommy cheating on his wife. This does not represent my beliefs, cheating is horrible
Warnings- Tommy cheating on his wife and reader not caring.
YN has been dancing since she could walk, she feel in love with ballet when her parents took her to her first theatre show. From that moment on YN begged her parents for ballet shoes and lessons.
Now being 29 years old she is now dancing in the same show she first saw, The Nutcracker.
YN sits in the garrison with the Shelby's, who she's known for many years. Even though she was from a different social class she always got on with the brothers and Ada, but she's specifically close with Tommy... very close to Tommy.
YN walks through the garrison to their room. Not knocking she walks in and sits next to Arthur
"Whisky?"
"No thanks Arthur. Have rehearsal early tomorrow"
"How is it going?" Lizzie asks sitting on Tommys lap. Although YN feels a little jealous, she knows that tonight Tommy will be warming her bed not theirs which puts a smile on YNs face
"Good thank you. Are you guys coming to the first show?" YN asks looking around
"Actually I wanted to ask you for a favour" YN looks at Lizzie "I'm not sure if you know this, but Tommy is throwing me a huge party for my birthday" YN did know because Tommy was in her bed moaning about having to throw this party "and I was wondering if you would perform"
"Of course. Tommy can let me know the date" Tommy sits quietly, he's not uncomfortable with this situation, his wife and his mistress talking
"So YN how's your mystery man?" Esme asks
"He's great. Bought me this" YN shows off her necklace
"When are we meeting this mystery man?" Lizzie asks, oh if she only knew
"Not sure. He needs to leave his wife first" Tommy coughs nudging Lizzie off his lap
"I have to get going if I want to get to London at a decent time"
"Ok. I'll miss you" she leans down and kisses his lips
"Yeah you too" he replies leaving the room
"Well I'm going to head off home" Lizzie says saying goodbye to everyone
"You sure you don't want a drink?" Arthur asks
"No I'm good thank you. I probably should also go home, go to bed early. I'll see you all tomorrow".
"When are you telling her?" YN asks Tommy lying in bed
"Soon. I want to get her birthday out of the way" YN groans "I know your having fun messing with her though. Showing off your necklace"
"Yes but she's sitting on you lap, asking me to dance at her birthday, it's a bit fucked"
"You agreed to do it" Tommy chuckles making YN smile
"Yes because I wasn't going to get invited else and I would love to sneak off with you at some point during the day"
"I'm sure you would" YN yawns interrupting Tommy "tired?"
"Mmm" YN hums
"Go to sleep. I'll be here in the morning" Tommy kisses her forehead.
Weeks later and it's Lizzie's birthday, she's going around bragging about how amazing Tommy is for making this party possible. YN is stretching before performing when Esme walks over to her
"I know who the mystery man is"
"I'm guessing you spoke to the spirits" YN jokes standing up
"Don't be stupid YN. How long have have you and Arthur been sleeping with each other?"
"Arthur!" YN yells getting you "you think I've been sleeping with Arthur?"
"Well you sit next to him every time we're at the garrison, he's always getting you a drink, taking you home"
"I promise you it's not Arthur" YN watches as Tommy walks into the house without Lizzie "I'll be back later Esme" YN follows Tommy into the house looking for him. Suddenly she's pulled into another room by Tommy locking the door behind him. His lips are immediately on YN's smudging her lipstick.
"Who the hell is it Thomas?" Lizzie whisper yells at Tommy while YN is performing. After Tommy and YN's rendezvous Tommy went back to his wife, not knowing their was lipstick on his shirt
"I'm not doing this now Lizzie"
"Not doing... it's my birthday and you've been fucking someone?"
"Lizzie" Tommy sighs rubbing the temples of his head "just enjoy your birthday and we will talk about this tomorrow" Lizzie crosses her arms in a huff and turns to look at YN who's dancing. She notices YN glances in their direction, she looks at Tommy and notices him staring at her. That's when it clicks
"It's her. You fucking bastard Thomas Shelby" Lizzie storms off but Tommy doesn't go after her. He stays to watch YN.

I adore your take on DS2 and wanted to know what ur thoughts were on Elden Ring and/or DS 3!
(also I have been loving ur comics!!!)
First off: Thank you! Glad you like my comics! <3
I mentioned it briefly in the DS2 post, and it's been said by others, but Dark Souls 3 is about ending Dark Souls. And it does that very well. The "time and space is falling apart and that's why the geography is like that" that people sometimes say about DS2 is literally, textually true in 3. The Dreg Heap is a pile of other, older Dark Souls areas collapsing in on each other. This world has been going on and on, repeating and prolonging the Age of Fire that should have ended long ago, and it's just breaking down. You can't keep the same thing going forever, that's true in the universe of the story, and of a franchise of dark fantasy action RPGs.
It's kind of funny and also impressive that Miyazaki and the team hit that point, saying if they keep doing this it's going to fall apart, on game three of the franchise. There's so many series out there that will pump out game after game of the same stuff, to the point they stop numbering them and give them subtitles to hide the fact that they're on game 23 of this thing, and FromSoft said "three's our limit for this one" and gave us the greatest hits final bow before moving on to new different takes on their subgenre of games.
Enter Elden Ring! The game that got me into FromSoft games. Every time people talked about Dark Souls it was always about how hard they were, and the whole "git gud" mentality, which made them seem like they would 100% be not my kind of thing. But I am an absolute sucker for a fantasy open world, so I dipped my toes into Elden Ring, and really enjoyed it! Being able to just go exploring and do something else whenever I got stuck was a huge plus, as are spirit ash summons. The game is hard, for sure, but there's also a lot of ways to ease that difficulty (not eliminate it, but ease it (also there's no excuse to not have a pause button, that's stupid, don't @ me))
As far as lore and storytelling, Elden Ring has a lot of cool stuff (that's my wife Ranni, my cool witch wife Ranni) but I don't know that I have so definite a "take" on its story. It goes back to the Dark Souls 1 and 3 well of "some important shit happened, go kill this list of bosses about it" but I appreciate that you have a lot more choice in regards to your ending. It's not "link the fire or don't" it's "you're creating a new age, what do you want that age to be like?" with a few compelling choices and some evil bastard ones for fun.
Assorted side thoughts:
FP is better than spell uses. More convenient, more flexible, lets you focus on Mind to allow yourself to cast more spells.
All of my first playthroughs were sword and board, both because of caution going in and because I like the "knight with a sword and shield" aesthetic.
Related to the last point, Guard Counters are a great addition in ER, and the "Sekiro style block" crystal tear for the Physick in the DLC should have been a talisman or something permanent, to just make that a play style people can use.
The Alva Armor rules, 10/10 best fit in Dark Souls
I really like Shadow of the Erdtree, but it is the absolute limit on the current version of Souls-game mechanics. Not everyone is Let Me Solo Her, and between both the extremely punishing difficulty and the becoming more repetitive nature of a lot of the boss design, they need to change up the combat to keep things going. Sekiro seems to be a step in that direction from what I hear?
No boss fight in any video game has ever made me feel as cool as Slave Knight Gael in the DS3 DLC. It just worked for me on pretty much every level. The story, the music, the visuals, the difficulty. I can beat him, and it's hard but not a kind of hard that makes me angry at the game. Dodging in and out of his attacks, getting my own hits in, it felt like a kick ass dance of fantasy combat. It's peak.
#asks#dark souls#elden ring#I haven't played Bloodborne or Demon's Souls because I don't have a Playstation to play them on#and I haven't played Sekiro because I like building my own character and changing my fashions

Don't you think it's strange how members treat Mingi sometimes? Like it might be something in my head, but several times I saw them making jokes with the mingi and him seemed extremely uncomfortable.
I know they love each other (and this is obvious), but sometimes I find the jokes very strange. It could be something in my head, so I'd like to know your opinion too.
( sorry english is not my first language )
Hi! First of all, English isn't my first language either, so let us shake hands and congratulate each other on how well we use it.
I think you might be referring to the ways Mingi gets teased both on stage and in their reality content, right? If not, pls do send a follow up and let me know what you meant. To answer the question: I don't know which jokes you mean, but I have to confess I haven't found any of them strange. I think maybe ?? you have a special tenderness for Mingi that I don't have (I don't feel especially tender about any of them, tbf) so we're probably just looking at the same content with different lenses. But I say again - if you have a specific moment you want to discuss I'd be very interested in hearing what that is.
Ateez is to me a very masculine group. Their sound, their dance moves, the swagger, the willingness to get down and dirty (in the very restrained Kpop way of doing that, but still), the intense competition, the fact that the company keeps setting up content where they kill and defeat each other FOR FUNSIES- this is all very manly man, bordering on macho dynamics to me. As a woman who lives in a very homosocial life, I have seen from the sidelines that for Korean men, the ability to withstand an emotional gut punch, the occasional public humiliation, and other violence is important in order to 'belong' in all male social circles. If you pull similar moves on a woman as a woman, you're going to be ostracized. The rules are different. So to a certain extent, they're always ribbing each other and 'joshing' each other. I saw this in a movie with Gwyneth Paltrow once - where she asks why when men play, they always play at killing each other? This movie was set in the 1950s and had 100% white americans speaking english to each other, so I dont think this is purely a Korean phenomenon either.
Secondly, because they have Wooyoung, San, Hongjoong, Jongho and Yunho in the group, Ateez prioritizes some hard to meet standards: Speaking without ever stumbling or choosing the wrong word during a very long shoot day. Being fast and sharp with a quip. Absolutely never letting any mistake go by unremarked, and never forgetting any error anyone else has made. Having perfectly alert and calibrated social skills.
Third, this particular group of young men are HYPER competitive.
So that's happening in the group as their on-going dynamic.
Then there's the Mingi factor. Mingi has immense star quality. He's super confident. He's got that thing that some performers have where he gets on stage and the spirit descends and nothing and nobody can stop him. He's so powerful. He either was born with or developed the skill of working a stadium up to fever pitch when none of the rest of them can do that on their own yet. He also is one of only two members who have so far demonstrated the capacity to produce his own music. He doesn't just contribute lyrics, he's a lyricist. He got the Calvin Klein shoot which is the Grade A stamp of approval for being a beautiful, desirable man.
And at the same time, he's also deeply weird and offbeat, very much distracted by his own thoughts until you force him to pay attention, and even then he's got something pulling at him so he's not entirely present. And he's kind. He just seems very accepting, well disposed to people, and happy to be included. He's also emotionally very transparent, too.
Mingi himself seems to acknowledge that his 'on' persona and 'off' persona are very different - he's so articulate and fast-talking when a rapper, and then when he's 'off' he mumbles and says odd things and can't finish sentences nor read off a cue card without falling apart and making the bit 'die.' This makes him a delicious (sorry I'm Yunho coded) target for teasing - he provides so much material for such teasing, for one, and for another, he seems/is deeply kind so he won't go on some sort of warpath if you overstep, and third, this big beautiful handsome guy reacts like a little kid when something goes wrong and it's just so funny and cute. I think Mingi also has a sense of humor about himself as well as a very dry acceptance of the fact that he is imperfect (Yunho has ZERO acceptance of this by the way), so if a bit is funny and he looks a bit silly, he's like, well that's life.
I think on the whole his ability to take it on the chin and smile about it and move on is also really helpful in cementing the parasocial adoration his particular stans have for him, and it does make him look like the good guy (Wooyoung by contrast willingly plays the villain a lot and Hongjoong who is actually quite funny and playful, is willing to be the strict boring dad, so they all make a certain amount of sacrifices for the content).
I hope this answers your question??
