I grew up young earth creationist/Christian fundamentalist the kinds of books adults tried to hide from me included: science textbooks, anything to do with sex ed or romance, absolutely anything LGBT, scifi novels. I learned to hide and lie at an early age just to be able to access crucial information about the world we live in. Let! Your! Children! Decide! For themselves! What to read!!

There is genuinely no such thing as an inappropriate book for a child.
