Da Rules
notes beforehand:
I am not affiliated with Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Disney in any way, shape or form. This is just my take on Jessica Rabbit!
Jessica’s views =/= My own.
This will not be the most active blog, I’m afraid. Life happens! But I’ll always be around even when my activity is pretty spotty. I’m allllllways watching.
There is no “real” verse to be found here, no RL faceclaims. Those verses do not interest me. <:)
I steer clear of drama. I’m here to relax, not stress out.
Jessica is a suggestive character, so keep that in mind if you want to follow. Suggestive & Sexual content will be found here time-to-time, and it will always be tagged.
You probably won’t be comfortable here if you’re no fan of genderbending or the fiction=/= reality mindset.
I like to goof around and be playful with my writing! I might not be the blog for you if you’re looking for 100% seriousness.
A small note regarding Jessica’s PTSD & Depression.
I reserve the right to unfollow/block at any given time for reasons of my own. Please do not approach me for the reason as to why. // If I should unfollow, I will always softblock on the way out so we are no longer following each other, not to worry.
I do not recognize Kingdom Hearts as a verse here, and I do apologize for that. Forming relations with the characters, however, is completely fine by me!
A little fyi: I’m not a multi-muse account, but every once in a while a different muse will appear for a very short time: either accompanying Jessica in a thread or just bursting in from their account to interact. I promise it’s very minimal when this happens, and they don’t have a commonplace here. This is Jess’s blog, my other muses are just invasive and don’t appreciate her personal space lmao.
+ Unless tagged as ‘ok to rb’ – do not reblog my posts. This rule applies to you too, Personals ( non-rp blogs ).
now, the rules:
Icons: I have made all my icons myself so please do not steal them.
Selectivity: Mutuals only for now! I am more than happy to interact with original characters as well as characters from different forms of media, but I am a bit picky. Please don’t pressure me to follow you - it will lead to an instant block.
Mutuals: If we’re mutuals with one another and you want to unfollow at any time, please do so, but softblock me in the process as it’s awkward to keep following someone who doesn’t want to rp anymore. Please and thank you! ♥
No Godmodding: Please don’t control Jessica. I won’t control your little bundle of sunshine/or obsidian without permission, so don’t control mine.
NSFW: Nearly all matter of content may be featured on this blog and will be tagged either as “body horror” or “nsfw”. Sexual scenarios, if any occur at all, will only take place between people I’m comfortable with. I refuse to rp smut with strangers and will block on sight without warning if it’s so much as attempted or hinted.
- I will not allow rape on this blog, or non-con sexual interactions of any kind. Jessica is not your fantasy toy and I refuse to roleplay her as such. Do not send me invasive, creepy anons, either. That means no sexual anons if I have not reblogged a meme. Be respectful.
- I will not roleplay smut with minor muses or minor muns. Attempts to slide around this rule will be met with an automatic block.
Character Death: Your muse can kill Jessica, but only if you plot with me first! That death will only apply for that one thread though, so keep that in mind. The only thing that can truly kill a toon is DIP and I will not be changing that.
Shipping: This blog will be multi-ship, but you will be disappointed if you come here looking for shipping right off the bat. I am very picky about who Jessica’s paired off with! Chemistry is key.
- Ships will have their own verse, of course. I’d love to give full extension into all of them. Marriage, kids, the whole shebang -- as long as your character is up to it, that is!
- All ships will take place in a verse where Jessica is single and known as “Jessica Krupnick”. I will not roleplay or partake in any form of cheating.
- Jessica can be quite flirtatious, but that does not equal auto-shipping on my part. She is who she is! <:)
- If Jessica does get a crush on your muse, that is also not equal to auto=shipping on my part. Crushes happen all the time and never go anywhere, so please don’t feel pressured. I won’t push anything on you.
Length: One-liner, short, para, novella (however, this one does take a chunk of time to reply to) .. it’s all welcome here. I do not have a length limit, but I don’t do well with length expectation. I will write at my own length. Please, I highly encourage you to do the same. So long as we both have something to go off, we’re good as gold.
Format: Regular small text and 100x100 icons is how I roll, but format is not at all needed to interact – neither are icons! However, I’m not comfortable with heavily formatted posts, or with very small text, that’s just a bit too much for me! I do have bad eye sight and would prefer not having to squint to read.
Time: Mun can either reply instantly to a roleplay or take a week or so to get to it, please don’t rush her.
Anons are welcome, but please keep it sweet unless I reblog a meme stating otherwise.
Reblog Karma: I’m not a First National Bank of Memes, so please don’t treat me like one. Reblog from the source if available if you’re not going to send one in, please!
If you’re reading this that means you either read through the whole thing or just skim read alllll the way to the bottom, but either way CONGRATS. Thanks for taking the time to read my rules!

Guilty Pleasure Friends! Guilty Pleasure Friends! Guilty Pleasure Friends! Tell me everything! O(≧∇≦)O
Awww, nothing less from you, huh? I don’t know what else I expected, but I’m happy to do you the favor, dear! Alllll the fic-specific questions it is, then. Let’s hope I can sate your curiosity!
2. Which scene was your favorite to write in GPF?
Ohhhh, that’s a tough one. After 335k words and over two years, it’s hard to pinpoint just one… I’d say just about every big moment was great to write. Especially the end of the sports festical arc with Kuro getting hug-attacked by his newfound friends, and more recently the scene where Mahiru finds a passed-out Kuro and everything leading up to his love epiphany. Writing emotional scenes is what I’m best at, and if they’re happy emotional scenes or heartwarming moments for the characters that deserve it the most, they’re my absolute favorites!
3. Which part of GPF was hardest to write?
Another toughie… Not one set part, because there were many times I struggled for some time just stalling until I managed to figure out the plot, especially with the currently ongoing arc because it hasn’t ended in the manga itself and touches upon questions that haven’t been answered there. What’s usually hard for me is translating supernatural elements from the manga into mundane stuff in the story, especially the Ophelia flashback and the Lust arc. How on earth do you translate a princess marrying and then getting killed for peace or a vampire’s contract item getting destroyed into a mundane high school setting, anyway?!
4. If you could change anything in GPF, what would it be?
Probably the pacing and the balance between character screentimes. GPF covers a wide range of characters and pairings and stories, and although it’s centered on Mahiru and Kuro, the others all deserve their focus too and I’d like to distribute it more evenly from the beginning. I’d also like to make Tsubaki and the gang more dangerous from the beginning, just so they seem more like a real threat and less like Mahiru worries a bit too much when he tries to reassemble the Servamps to keep him in check.
5. Did you make an outline for GPF? Did you stick to it?
I have never outlined in my life, unless you’re counting law exams or being forced by teachers who insist on seeing an outline, and that doubly applies to my stories. If I write down the plot I lose motivation to actually write it, so I only ever keep the outline in my head, and even then it’s pretty loose because a huge part of what I write only truly develops in the moment I type it out in the story.
6. Which scenes did you cut, and which were added in GPF?
As in, during editing? Here’s the joke: I basically don’t edit. I vaguely remember adding some short sequences and maybe a scene or two, but don’t ask me which ones anymore. I don’t remember.
7. Who was your favorite character to write in GPF?
In case it wasn’t obvious enough already, Kuro. Aside from the fact that he’s my actual Servamp favorite, I simply love all the room he has to develop, and I love making use of that to make him grow, from the feared “delinquent” with no friends and a crippling fear of human interaction to someone who’s starting to open up more and more and gathering more and more people around him, from Mahiru to Ryuusei and Koyuki and the Servamp squad. Of course GPF is also Mahiru’s story, but it’s very largely centered on Kuro’s personal journey towards the acceptance and appreciation and happiness he deserves.
8. Which came first, the title or the fic?
The fic idea. It all started with an anon on Tumblr suggesting a high school AU with disciplinary committee member Mahiru and ex-gang member Kuro, and I loved it so much I went on a tangent and thought up my own ideas before they were even done. I was still writing New Romantics at the time though, so GPF had to wait, but I spent a lot of evenings playing around with ideas and also trying to think up titles. The title “Guilty Pleasure Friends” came to me one morning on the way to school, and while at first I wanted to use it for an original project, I soon decided to use it for the high school AU fic. So the fic idea was first, but at the time I actually started writing it I already had the title.
9. Which idea came to you first in GPF?
The anon’s suggestions – namely, class rep/disciplinary committee kid Mahiru and ex-delinquent Kuro, and Mahiru being the only one not afraid of Kuro and simply dragging him to class where no one else dared to. My own first ideas were based off that, with the former gang being the Servamps and all that. Afterwards… I had too much time on my hands and created this post. The ideas in there are still somewhat different from the actual fic, aren’t they?
10. What are some facts readers may not know about GPF?
Something I haven’t really talked about is that it taught me something too. To date, the most popular scene in the fic remains the school festival scene, also known as the Mr. Panda scene. I strongly based Kuro’s struggles off my own there, and apparently it struck a nerve, with people telling me I’d portrayed exactly how social anxiety feels like and that they saw themselves in him, or even that his eventual success had brought them to tears. It also made me realize that I do, in fact, very probably have social anxiety too (I’d suspected it before, with a close friend with the same symptoms as me being diagnosed with it, but wasn’t comfortable with it yet), leading to me learning more about it, observing myself and even coming to recognize certain symptoms and behaviors in other people too. And another important thing that scene and the reactions taught me: Representation matters. A lot. And that’s a message that has really stayed with me and influenced my writing, because ever since I’ve been striving to achieve that again, make people see themselves in my stories and find hope in the characters’ victories. I hope that someday I can create more moments like that, because then I feel like my writing stops being simple entertainment and becomes truly meaningful.
#i never really talked about that last part huh... but it really influenced me#ask#answered#maoyuuki#ask meme#personal#me and my writings
