Stages of Growth
Tumblr media
Pairing: Francisco "Catfish" Morales x reader (no gender specified, but female in my mind)
Rating: Mature (is that still a common rating today? I'm an Old)
Warnings: A couple references to sexual activity, but nothing too graphic.
Word Count: 1,000 on the nose
Summary: A chronicle of your relationship, and Frankie's hair.
Notes: Fuck you, Pedro, for having such pretty hair. I spend way too much time thinking about it. And about Frankie generally. ❤️
---
When you first met Frankie, his hair was medium brown and short. A close-cropped buzz cut, mandatory for basic training, given to him without choice. It suited him, but also didn’t – a perfect match for his ambivalence about joining the military and what the service meant for him. You wondered what personality his hair would have once it had a chance to grow in. What kind of man Frankie would become, the promise his future held, what kinds of things he could and would learn to do.
When you finally had your first night together, he had just arrived home, on leave from a long deployment, your letters having kept him company and chronicled your growing connection. His military haircut had been allowed a reprieve as well, one of the perks and markers of being chosen for Special Forces training, needing to blend in with the locals of the various foreign countries he was sent to. That length of hair reflected well on him and the way he carried himself with new confidence, though there was still a tendril of ambivalence left, along with one wayward tress on his nape that insisted on rebelling, growing literally sideways with no sign of ever giving in.
On that first night Frankie had let you excitedly fist your hands into his longer locks as you kissed, quietly observing how it added fuel to your fire. Later that night, he let you guide his mouth to wherever you wanted it on your body, your hands in his hair acting as reins or restraints when needed and as silent praise when not. When you came, you had pulled his hair so hard that he saw stars and it spurred his own high, barreling him uncontrollably into it seconds later.
By the time he quit the military after many years of dedicated service, his locks had matured into a deeper brown – “English Walnut 7533” according to the Pantone color chart you had pilfered from your interior design firm – and had changed shape and texture, expressing itself in mostly neat, evenly shaped waves and curls, especially in humid weather or the rare time he let you style it for him with your carefully chosen products.
One of your best memories from that time was a hazy, lazy day in the tropics when you were both too overcome with the heat to do much else but lie in shaded loungers on your balcony. Frankie was suffering from the temperature, and the light strokes of your fingers across his brow hadn’t been enough to soothe him, or to satisfy you.
Coconut was the hotel room’s free shampoo offering, and soon the scent of sweet suds had wafted between you. You felt tiny soap bubbles pop, carbonation as you slid your fingers through his locks; you saw the frown lines on his forehead gradually smooth out as his eyes drifted shut and he sighed in delight; you felt the air around him drop several degrees purely from relaxation. You relished his moans when the cool rinse water sluiced down his scalp and into the repurposed ice bucket from the previous night’s champagne. Despite the humidity, his curls had dried by the time night fell, only to turn into sweaty waves again once you tumbled into bed with newfound energy to explore each other’s bodies.
On his first day at work as an aviation mechanic, his pilot’s license having been suspended over some cargo he shouldn’t have flown, he smushed his hair into an old baseball cap that read “Standard Heating Oil”, borrowed from a close friend and military comrade, and took to wearing it almost constantly. He said it was for practical reasons and that he was just too lazy to fuss over his hair, but you knew better. That hat was the first thing he took off when he got home, and the last thing he put on when he left, like he was some method actor with dual personalities.
When he came home a week late from a private group mission gone disastrously wrong, dropping his bags in the doorway and enveloping you in a crushing hug, one of your hands had automatically threaded into the curls on the back of his head, longer and strongly defined now, more for you to hold and more for him to be anchored by.
When he finally shared what went wrong on the mission and how they had lost their leader and friend, he buried his face into your neck, your tears trickling down your cheek to be absorbed by his scalp. One glance downward and all you could see was his locks shot through with silver and grey – much more of it than he had left with. Whatever he went through in South America had quickly accrued compound interest.
He had also lost his hat somewhere during the mission, and from then on never wore one again unless required to at work.
When he had nightmares or panic attacks from that mission, the touch of your hand gently weaving through his hair was his lifeline, something to focus on as he fought his way back to reality and to you.
Now solidly in middle age, Frankie has fewer nightmares, the dreams having receded both in frequency and intensity, and the silvery grey evolution of his hair color seems to have abated too, a rare pause in time.
He keeps his hair at the length you like: long enough for the curls to fully develop and be free, but short enough that he doesn’t have to fuss over it too much. He lets you style it, even lets you wash it for him as your new Sunday evening relaxation ritual. He lets you do whatever you want; you’ve earned it after everything he’s put you through as part of his messy, fractured life.
Tomorrow, Frankie’s pilot license is finally set to be reinstated. Maybe you’ll suggest he get a haircut to celebrate this next stage of his life. Or maybe not.

🙤 Unusual OC Associations 🙧
Tagged by @greypetrel---thanks for the tag! This is so cool :) I also might do this for all of them gradually---I enjoy this unique way of thinking about these characters. I added Arianwen under the break here, and I'll likely make a separate post for my bounty of Lavellans. (Also--I'm just putting this out there--I'm adding a Tarot section for mine because I kept thinking about cards for them as I was writing these, but it wasn't part of the original list c: )
Maria Hawke
Seasoning: Something warm and sharp, like ginger or cinnamon. The kind of thing you can add to a hot drink when it's cold outside.
Weather: Snow that falls in big, puffy flakes that make you feel grateful to be inside and warm. Not a storm, but snow that makes everything feel a bit closer than it was before.
Colour: The crimson of heart's-blood, vivid and unmistakable
Sky: When it's very cold and clear outside and there are ice crystals shining in the air. You can only see them when they catch the light, but they're there nonetheless, like clouds scattered at ground level
Magic power: Fire that soothes and sears: a healing heat that is like knocking back a finger of whiskey in the bitter cold, or a blush on a first date.  The agonizing pain of reaching for a pot too fresh from the fire or overlooking the burning candle you've just tipped over in your negligence.
House plant: Aloe vera: you can forget about it, it can withstand too much sun or rain for a time, and as long as it’s cared for every so often it’ll keep taking out the sting of your hurts
Weapon: A staff made of dark wood and bronze, polished to a gloss by decades of use and her father’s hands.
Subject: History—but mostly the salacious or embarrassing bits. Hawke loves a good story, and she definitely tells the bawdy ones when she’s tipsy.
Social media: Despises it. Has a hard time reading tone on the internet. Probably runs a personal blog about her life Kirkwall that she never updates, and rarely responds to comments; she’s too impatient to work to understand a format or website culture.
Make-up product: An anise oil treatment she rubs into her hair before she sleeps at night to keep it glossy and tangle-free
Candy: Chocolate-covered roasted almonds; a study in contrasts, with the sweet, melt-in-your mouth richness of chocolate and the crunchy, faintly bitter and salty almonds.
Fear: Failure; that it was actually her fault that Malcolm and Bethany died, and that it will happen again if she isn’t quick/clever/good enough
Ice cube shape: Perfectly square, rattles nicely when you shake it in a glass
Method of long distance travel: Carriage; she can nap, read, and take in the sights exactly as much as she’d like to.
Art style: Impressionism; trying to capture the fleeting through the suggestion of detail, but ultimately only capturing the impression of what it once was. The finished result is still beautiful, if full of nostalgia.
Mythological creature: A church grim; guardian of its domain and foreteller of death.
Piece of stationery: Handmade paper with pieces of dried rose petal or herbs pressed into the paper itself; slightly ragged around the edges but thick and sweet-smelling.
3 emojis: 👀 💅🏽 😶
Celestial body: The harvest moon on the horizon, golden and full and looking impossibly close despite the distance
Tarot Card: The Hanged Man; Intuition, trials, and self-sacrifice
Tagging: @star--nymph @zenstrike
(and really, anyone who wants to do this--I know these things have the power to make one feel like the kid picked last for dodgeball, but I feel like I'm overstepping if we've never really interacted. Tell me if you want to do these things and I will tag you forever. Really.)
(I put Wen under the break, insert "nobody puts Baby in the corner" joke)
Arianwen Tabris
Seasoning: Oh, salt, hands-down. No elaboration.
Weather: Gathering cumulonimbus on the horizon, with that especially purple-grey tinge to the bottom that tells you it’s going to be a really brutal storm. There are streaks of lightning every now and then, and you can see the streaks where rain has already begun to fall in the distance. (It leaves destruction behind, but come back in a season or a year---the fallen trees grow moss now, and house animals, and the fields have grown back all the greener for the rain)
Colour: Gunmetal grey; dull at first glance but lustrous and brutal nonetheless.
Sky: Red at first light
Magic power: Reopening hidden hurts and forgotten wounds
House plant: Cactus in a terracotta pot. Sometimes you wonder why you’ve still got it on the shelf there, when all it does is poke you and look menacing. But then you look at it after a multiweek depression fog and it’s still there, unwilted, kicking ass.
Weapon: a throwing knife, painted matte-black, all but invisible at night until it hits you
Subject: Applied physics; she likes the practical reality of numbers, and the application of an object in motion can really only benefit her.
Social media: Has a private Youtube account where she saves all her favorite Lockpicking Lawyer videos. If anyone posts a picture or video with her in the background, she hunts them for sport.
Make-up product: Cover up/foundation; if all your scars and tattoos are covered, it’s more difficult for people to identify you
Candy: Rebanaditas (watermelon chili powder candy) (and hey, this is how I found out that lucas powder contained high levels of lead and that’s why it was discontinued?? If you ate a bunch of it like I used to, just a heads-up.)
Fear: Loving someone as much as her father loved her mother (as much as she loved her mother) and losing them anyway.
Ice cube shape: Circle K ice (the little crunchy ones people like to chew on)
Method of long distance travel: Foot. No chance she’ll have to climb off or down from something and get taken by surprise.
Art style: Charcoal sketches; they seem straightforward, even simplistic at first glance, but are capable of unexpected depth and dimension
Mythological creature: Cŵn Annwn; a hound of the Wild Hunt in Welsh lore. Their howls were a death portent that grew quieter rather than louder as they approached. Sometimes regarded as guides to the afterlife.
Piece of stationery: Scrap of paper torn off a larger text for convenience
3 emojis: 🔪 🤨 🐺
Celestial body: Mars
Tarot Card: The Tower; a symbol of abrupt and violent change, for better or worse

Hey! I love your stories and reading them made me want to learn about black cowboy culture and old tradtions. It really opened my eyes to things I didn’t know about.
So, I’m getting my starter locs on Tuesday and I’m 99% positive that you have locs also (I’ve seen you mention them a couple of times). I was wondering if you had any tips/advice for someone who is just starting their loc journey? Do you have any product recommendations?? Thanks! 💛🌻
Never use beeswax in your locs!
Just know as your hair is being traind to loc, it will go through an ugly phase. Wrap your hair if you don't like that fuzzy, trying to get itself together look, lol! I use natural aloe vera gel in my locs every other day or so to keep hair moisturized. (The aloe gel I use is watery, and I mix it with some distilled water and spritz it on my hair through a spray bottle. Roots to tips. Very refreshing. I'll add rosewater, or lavender oil to it for a little razzle dazzle)
I wash my hair with Dr. Bonner's Almond soap and also their peppermint liquid soap. No chemicals, less product build-up. Natural.
After I wash my hair, I oil my locs down with argon oil, or almond oil, sometimes, apricot oil as I twist them, tie them up and stick my head under my little dryer. (You know those old-school dryers with the heat cap and tube with three heat levels, lol. I sit under the dryer for about 30 minutes and then let my hair finish air drying).
I was blessed to have someone take care of my hair in L.A. for me to get my new growth palm-rolled. I went every three months, had my hair washed, conditioned, palm rolled, braided in four big cornrows, and dried under a real dryer at her house). In between visits I did the above things I mentioned. I've had locs three different times in 3 different sizes, and what you have to understand about locs is that every person's hair texture is different, so NEVER compare your locs to anyone else's in terms of length, or the amount of time it takes to loc, or how well your locs are coming in. The beauty of your individual loc experience is that your DNA will grow the beauty of your special hair. I used to think, "Dag, my hair will never look as good as that person...or...my hair is taking forever to get as long as that persons...."
My hair turned out as beautiful and as long (actually longer than I expected) as they were meant to be, and it took a long time for my texture to loc ( I have three different textures. When I started, my loctician had to two-strand twist curly, straight, and wavy...whew!)
Use satin bonnets and protective styles in winter. Wraps are awesome and come in so many stylish colors. Again, bonnets at night are a must. You can break off locs as they rub against cotton/polyester pillowcases. They are precious and need protection at night.
I also talk to my hair. Sounds corny, but I tell my hair how fly it looks and decorate it with shells, beads, all kinds of jewels, and cute little blue butterfly clips. Your hair knows when you love it and will show out for you.
If you do have someone to help you care for your locs with palm rolling to twist up new growth, please make sure they are gentle with your hair. If they hurt your scalp or pull on your hair too hard as they twist, they can damage your roots and locs. Find someone else if they can't do better for you.
Locs are a huge commitment and a serious hair journey. I love them because our hair does it so naturally and gracefully and I feel my Blackness completely.
Warning: They do get heavy. I cut my locs periodically. Not all the way, but I'll cut off some inches every few years. At least an inch or two every year. That weight is no joke if you let your hair get super long. My hair is down to my thighs, and I question my sanity when I go swimming without my hair tied up in the ocean. I know people are excited about Halle Bailey being the Litlle Mermaid and having locs in the ocean etc, but Bay-bee, lemme tell ya! Your hair will yoke you up if it isn't tied for swimming!
PS. YMMV with hair products. What works for my hair may be a different experience for you. So experiment and seek out other folks with locs in your area with similar textures, thickness that you admire. They can help you find things that work best for your unique hair.
Good luck and blessings on your journey!

omg please drop all of your haircare knowledge, asking for a wavy/curly friend
HELLO YES I LOVE TALKING ABT THIS
So once upon a time I spent weeks on end on naturallycurly.com reading about wavy hair care specifically. I had just moved to Colorado six months before and my hair was Not loving the climate shift - the higher altitude results in dryer air and my hair was unmanageable and gross 100% of the time and I was sick of it. This article in particular was unbelievably helpful and it formed the basis of my research.
Here’s my before (spring 2019) and after (spring 2020):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I have not really been styling my hair and/or taking selfies since then because. Pandemic. Not much point in going to that much effort just to work from home lol)
Below the cut are more specific tips for washing/styling, featuring linked articles, tutorials, and products. I do want to acknowledge that these are adapted from the methods Black women have been using to care for their (type 4) hair for generations - the methods largely work for 2&3 hair types too, but with some modifications (e.g., white people don’t generally need to add extra oil to moisturize their hair between washes). If you’re going to buy products, buy from Black-owned companies whenever possible! Ecoslay and Inahsi are two of my favorites.
Some general tips:
Know the general state of your hair. Is it dense or thin? Are the strands coarse or fine? Is it damaged from color and/or heat? If it’s dense and/or coarse, you’ll want heavier products to penetrate the strands (like gels). If it’s thin and/or fine, you’ll want lighter products to not weigh them down (like mousses). If it’s damaged, you’ll want heavy stuff with a lot of protein to get it healthy.
Protein and moisture are key to balancing your hair. Protein deficiency/excess moisture results in hair that’s too soft and doesn’t hold a curl, while moisture deficiency/excess protein is when your hair feels crunchy without anything in it. Odds are if you’ve been using sulfate-heavy products you’ll need a heavy dose of both. My hair was so protein-starved that I had to do two gelatin treatments to build it back up but I haven’t had to do anything like that since
Ingredients: cut out sulfates and silicones. Sulfates dry out your hair and silicones coat the strands and weigh it down. Ingredient labels are your friends - sulfates are pretty easy to spot (e.g., sodium laureth sulfate) and silicones usually end in ‘cone’ (e.g., dimethicone). Some people also avoid heavy oils and butters (e.g., shea butter) but it really depends on how thick your hair is and how tight your curls are. I generally avoid them because they weigh down my looser curls but others with tighter curl patterns find them moisturizing and helpful. When in doubt, plug the ingredient list into Curlsbot to see what's curl friendly and what's not.
You do not need fancy products. I've linked some of my faves in here but there's plenty of inexpensive stuff available at drug stores. @coffeecurlygirl on Instagram has some highlights where she's reviewed curl-friendly drug store products. I am also American, so product availability may be different in other places. Curl Maven (based in Ireland) is a treasure trove of product information for Europe, as well as an excellent source for curly hair care in general.
Washing:
The most important part of washing your hair and scalp isn’t the cleanser, it’s the friction. Some people find success with cowashing, which is when you use a conditioner to wash your hair. This moisturizes your scalp and prevents your hair from drying out with the cleansing agents. Others like having something more cleansing and use a sulfate-free shampoo (usually containing something like sodium olefin 14-16 sulfonate). I tend to switch cleansers whenever I wash - I like the As I Am Dry and Itchy Scalp cowash, Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle shampoo, and a medicated shampoo & conditioner 2 in 1 deal. (My scalp is dry 100% of the time, it’s a struggle.) I also recommend getting a shampoo brush to really scrub it in there.
Conditioning is probably the most important step in your routine. Again, knowing your hair is really important here! Conditioners come in a huge range of heaviness. I have relatively thick hair and I like heavy conditioners. You want one that you can apply to your hair and practically feel it detangle itself. I like Giovanni conditioners best - the Deeper Moisture and Tea Tree Triple Treat are both good. You want to avoid your scalp because that’s where buildup happens, so apply to the length of your hair and squish it in (tutorial) from the bottom to form your curl clumps and ensure it penetrates each strand.
Clarifying is also something you want to do every so often. You’ll end up with some buildup on your hair no matter what so this is when you need an actual cleanser to break it down. You can get clarifying shampoos (Bumble & Bumble has one but I’ve never used it) but honestly you just need a normal sulfate shampoo. I use Suave Daily Clarifying (do not use it daily) which is like a dollar and will last forever.
After clarifying you should deep condition to restore moisture to your hair. My favorite these days is Jessicurl, but when I first started out this whole thing I needed something super protein-heavy so I used Curl Junkie’s Repair Me. In the middle of the road is something like Inahsi which is relatively balanced between moisture and protein. It all depends on what your hair needs. Apply after washing, let it sit on your hair for 30-45 minutes (use a shower cap and ideally a heat cap for max effectiveness). Rinse and style as usual.
Don’t use a normal towel to dry your hair. Terrycloth is a one-way ticket to Frizz City. You can buy microfiber towels made specifically for hair but you can also just use a tshirt. Also don’t rub your hair when you dry it, instead squeeze the water out from the bottom to preserve your curl pattern and prevent frizz.
You probably don’t have to wash your hair as often as you think. I wash my hair once or twice a week and it gets the job done. It takes much longer for curly hair to get gross and oily than for straight hair - my sister’s hair is stick straight and she has to wash every day.
Styling:
The products you use are much less important than the technique. Youtube is super helpful for demonstrations of how to apply products - reallife+curlygirl has my favorite channel for this.
Leave in conditioner is a must. I recommend finding something that’s intended to be a leave in, but some people just leave in some of the conditioner they used in the shower. Same deal, apply only to your ends, not the scalp.
After the leave in, here’s where the fun begins! Apply your styling products when your hair is soaking wet (like, immediately after your shower). I like to use a curl enhancer (eg Ecoslay’s Orange Marmalade or Uncle Funky’s Curl Magic) and then a gel over top (pretty much any drug store brand works - Aussie, LA Looks, etc.). Squish it in like you did your conditioner and use a lot of water. I legit have a mixing bowl that I keep in my shower and fill partway with water when applying so I can scoop in more water as needed. Squish until you can’t really feel the product anymore and then you’re good.
Plop your hair to set the curls (tutorial). Let it sit for 15-20 minutes. If you’re feeling extra you can add more gel once you take it down.
Diffuse dry (tutorial). DO NOT use a hair dryer without a diffuser, the direct heat is too intense and won’t give you good results.
Your hair will probably be a little crunchy after you’re done. Wait however long you want/can (at least until your hair has cooled down and it’s 100% dry) and then scrunch it out. No ramen noodle hair and your curls have set!
This can all be super overwhelming but is super worth it. You can see how much it's benefited my hair and I have no regrets. Most of these tips are things that have specifically worked for me, but if you want a more general (and better explained) quick-start guide for curl care, Curl Maven is a fantastic resource. There are a zillion places on the internet to get information, but I strongly recommend just sticking to a few: Naturally Curly, reallife+curlygirl, and Curl Maven are the best I've found and seem to cover the most ground. There's also a thriving Instagram community but proceed with caution - big Mormon mom energy over there, for whatever reason.
Finally, while the curls are great, the biggest change I’ve seen has been in the overall health of my hair. Washing less means my hair doesn’t get dried out as quickly, and even when I don’t style my hair (leave-in only and air dry) my hair still has some volume which is nuts. You don’t have to do all the styling every time you wash to get the benefits.
Hope this is helpful! Godspeed, my friend.

Tumblr media
You and Denki had been together for awhile and everything was everything you thought it’d be and more. He was always so energetic and happy to see you each and every single time you ‘left’ and then came back to him. I swear it was like he was even more in love with you every single time you blinked. And that beautiful smile of his as he looked you over taking in your beautiful auburn skin, almond-y eyes, your wide nose, and your hair. He was oh so infatuated with your hair every single time he saw a style you put your hair into; he had never even seen braids until he got with you. You both had gotten an apartment together- even after going through high school and the UA experience with you, he was still in love with you possibly even more than he was before.
You both had separate closets; your closer mostly full of head scarfs, durags, and the special hair products that you used at like max 1 time a month. Oftentimes you found your boyfriend sifting through everything and trying to name what things were and at this point he was getting pretty good. All of it sounded weird coming from his mouth, but it was the thought that counted. He also looked through all of the products and he had accidentally tried some just to see if his hair would benefit from it.
                                          Needless to say it didn’t.
He also loved looking at your accessories that you’d put in your hair- mostly when they were in braids- all of your brushes and heat protectants and your piks. He LOVED your piks. He would ask you about them all the time and he’d even ask to use them from time to time even though he and you both knew they weren’t for him. You’d gotten him a custom one though- it was yellow with metal rounded tip spokes and the body had his signature lightning bolt with his hero name “Chargebolt” underneath it with pretty letters. You were never too fond of sharing things like that with anyone- even him- and he respected that.
He’d been with you long enough to distinguish between your music as well and at the end of the week he’d always come back home to hear a mix between James Brown, SZA, Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker, and others. When you let him sit in on your study sessions and listen to your music he’d always been so surprised with 1) how diverse your music taste was and 2) that there was so many different kinds of music and he’d never heard YOURS prior to getting with you. He absolutely loved it, Drake being one of his favorites though he’d mindlessly mumble some Kendrick lyrics when he heard a familiar beat. Nevertheless, today was no different. He’d gotten home from his patrol to hear SZA playing, the scent of the mix of products in the air bringing a small inkling of pink to his cheeks. He walked in a little more and slicked back his dandelion yellow hair and he walked to the bathroom where he, once again, saw the familiar sight of you hunched over the sink mumbling lyrics while your skilled fingers worked shampoo out of your hair.     “This may be the night that my dreams might let me know…” you mumbled under your breath before you jumped feeling Denki’s strong arms wrapping around your waist, his tender lips pressed into the nape of your neck. “BABY!” You feel a surge of happiness run through you before your fingers get caught on a knot and you grumble lowly. “D-Don’t scare me like that,” you whine out softly before you settle on ripping the knot out of your from irritation before you feel his warm hand against yours.     “I-I’m sorry,” he said with a soft laugh. “Hey don’t tug at it like that… You’ll hurt your hair,” he said softly before swiftly taking his gloves off and setting them next to the sink, humming softly as he helped you work the knot out of your hair SAFELY.         “I’m… Surprised you remember,” you said quietly as he dried his hands off and rested them on your waist, swaying to the music behind you.     “Of course I remember! I couldn’t forget something like that…. Uhm.. So can I help with… Conditioning? Please? Pretty please?! I just… I want to learn more so that I can help you! A-And I know you’re gonna braid it! C-Can I watch you do that o-or um… Something? I won’t ask to help because we both know I can’t do that!” He started to laugh softly as he rubbed the back of his neck, scared again that he had talked too much. “S-Sorry..” He mumbled quietly. At this point, you were done with washing your hair so you used your hips to push him back and you threw your head back, the water in your hair flicking all over Denki, who just laughed like usual, before he walked up behind you and took you by the waist again with his head rested on your shoulder not even caring that your hair was dripping on his or his face. He carried that handsome smile as he used one of his slender fingers to trail over your jawline gently with a small laugh.     “What’s so funny,” you rose your eyebrow and quirked your lips some as your brown eyes carried a soft golden glow to them. He thought that was the coolest thing ever how your eyes seemed so amazingly dark but could still carry a glow to them, especially one that brought out your features even more. “N-Nothing! You’re just… So damn beautiful,” he said softly as he practically melted looking at your reflection in the mirror. “And all mine… I get to have you and nobody else,” he said softly as he bit his lip and nuzzled into your neck before he caught a whiff of food in the air. His patrol had zapped him (ha! get it?) and he was in the mood for you and food and cuddles. His mouth started to water as he let his hands wash over your hips, duck under your shirt, gently tapping his fingertips against your soft satiny brown skin. “What’s for dinner, love,” he asked quietly as he sniffed your hair and closed his eyes, his heart pounding hard against his rib cage as his flush travelled through his body. He loved how homey anywhere felt with you. Instead of living off of takeout, he was graced with your cooking skills. Instead of sitting around doing nothing, he took a keen interest whenever you did your hair and sometimes when he was gaming you’d lay on top of him and practice different styles in his hair so you could get ideas for your own and honestly he was just fine with that. He had someone like you; and it wasn’t that you were ‘exotic’ looking; as a matter of fact he’d get so pissed off when someone said that about you or your family because it seemed… Out of place to him. Of course, when he laid eyes on you for the first time, he couldn’t think of anything else except how different you looked from anybody he’d ever seen before. How your wider nose brought out your thin dark eyes, how curly your hair was and how it just seemed to define gravity- but in a mere hour and a half would be sleek and braided against your head and stay that way until you took it out. How your white teeth glistened and brightened your nebulous brown eyes with that golden glow that acted as a highlight and how perfectly it fit you. He even noticed how your hips curved a little more, how your shoulders were a little broader, how you always managed to shine and he loved that. Everybody did- but he did more. He always protected you, and you’d let him. After all it was hard moving from one place where everyone seemed to hate you and people that looked just like you to a different place where there was NOBODY that looked like you… No place to get things to care for yourself properly unless you paid a million and half dollars for all of the products that you deemed as necessary. He didn’t mind paying, he didn’t mind protecting you and letting you not be the strong one, he didn’t mind putting people in his place; sometimes he got overzealous with it and you had to explain why certain things were okay and why certain things were. He listened, always, and he seemed to have a grasp on it, however, he forgot sometimes just wanting to protect you and make his home your home as much as he could. He always gifted you with small presents and everything as well, always eager to buy you flowers and call you beautiful and make sure you knew that you weren’t alone even in this new place you called home and the attempt is exactly what you loved about him. All of his questions and asking for certain clarifications. He didn’t make you feel weak when you just couldn’t be strong anymore. He was curious, but he didn’t try to force your boundaries with touching your hair without permission or using your products and wasting them, or complaining about how much you had, or complaining and mocking how you were different from him and people like him, and on the flip side, he didn’t try to take your lingo that you carried over from where you were in America. He didn’t try to copy you because he knew that some things he just shouldn’t say and he just accepted the explanation with a smile and a nod and he made sure he never slipped up again, all while making sure other people didn’t make mistakes either.
“Well… I went to the store today since I had morning shift,” you said quietly as you moved your hair to one side and gently let your fingers glide through his hair. “So I picked up a few things… It’s pretty cold outside so I made chili and cornbread,” you said softly as you look in the mirror at his widened eyes staring at your reflection. “I hope that’s not a… Bad thing?” “No no no no, of course not! It’s a great way to start the weekend… Besides I LOVE your cornbread- it’s like super spongey and stuff and it’s just really good! Thank you,” he said as he nuzzled into your damp neck and you admired him, turning to gently place a kiss on the top of his head. “You’re welcome, my little prince,” you said softly as you grabbed a towel. “You said you wanted to help me with conditioning right? Well come on before my hair gets dry,” you said softly and he followed happily, listening to the chili simmer in the pan, the small ticks of the timer taunting him as he waited for the cornbread to finish. Your guys’s fireplace crackled and added another touch of homeyness to your guys’s den. You sat on the couch and he sat behind you with his legs on either side of you. You giggled softly and handed him the leave in conditioner and tilted your head back. “Okay so, that’s leave in conditioner. It’s different from *shower* conditioner; I don’t have to wash it out. Try and get as close to my scalp as you can,” you say softly as you hear the bottle open. “And don’t use too much at one time! A little goes a long way,” you say softly as a smile broods over your face. He nods with a soft and determined hum and he parted your hair down the middle with his pinkies. You turned on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and giggled softly as he gently pressed his fingertips along the part, slowly but surely spreading the conditioner through your hair.     “Jeez, it smells so good,” he said in a soft murmur, grunting softly as he felt your hands on his legs for support.     “Your hands are so… Gentle,” you say as more of a soft hum, already almost asleep, your back leaning against his chest.     “Well duh,” he hummed back to you quietly as he worked your curly hair through his fingers, taking out any tangle he could gently and quickly, watching how the product weighed your hair down a little bit.     “You’re so cute,” you said softly as you tried not to sleep and he noticed so he gently pushed your back and nibbled at your neck.     “I finished with the leave in… What’s next?” He whispered softly into your ear causing a flush of your own to blossom and spread over your body as he nibbled your ear.     “D-Don’t do things like that,” you whined softly as you gently sifted through your bottles and handed him one of them. “This is to moisturize my hair even more. Focus more on my scalp and the ends of my hair than yknow… The rest of my hair,” you say softly as you close your eyes. Immediately your eyes close and you feel your skin burn as his strong hands go immediately to massaging your scalp. A shudder ripples down your spine and you lean your head back into Kaminari’s hands as you let out soft whines. He blushes a little and clicks his tongue. “Mm? You like that?” He teased you, palming your head as his fingers knead the product into your scalp.     “Y-Yeah,” you whine softly as you try harder not to pass out. “J-Just keep going like that,” you whisper under your breath. He let out his soft giggles that sounded just a little squeaky, moving your hair a little so he could kiss the nape of your neck, his plush lips pressed against your soft skin making your eyes flutter a little. “K-Kami,” you whisper softly as you close your eyes and let your body relax completely. He pulled you back into him and gently kissed the side of your neck.     “I’m sorry, yuri,” he said softly with a soft smile. “You know I get carried away sometimes,” he said as he gently massaged your shoulders and then you picked up one of your piks and handed it to him after showing him how to hold it.     “Here… Hold it from the underside like this… You’ll get a better grip that way,” you say softly as you tilt your head to one side as you felt him gently nibbling and tugging at your skin with his teeth. You let out quiet whimpers and bit your lip before pushing him back a little. “J-Just take the damn pik and do my hair before it dries dummy,” you said as you covered your mouth. He mumbled softly as he started to run his fingers through your hair and pik it out, his eyes glistening as he stretched your curls and let them fluff up and coil again.     “You’re so sensitive and it’s so cute,” he said softly as he gasped softly. “Jeez your hair babe… It’s amazing! It’s like… Soft but it still has its like… Texture? Would that be the right word? It’s really cool… It’s different from mine… I honestly love it,” he said softly as he continued to easily pik through your hair. “I don’t know how to braid, but I DO remember how to twist! C-Can I do that? I wa-wanna tie your d-durag today,” he said softly, his voice almost a pleading whine that you found adorable. You reached back and gently tangled your fingers with his hair causing him to whine softly. “Please,” he asked again, almost begging. If he was pleading like this, who were you to say no?     “Baby, since it’s the weekend, I will let you… BUT only if you let me teach you again,” you say quietly. You lean back and look up at him and his eyes, as usual, were glittery and beautiful as he held his smile.     “Wait REALLY?? Hell yeah!” He pumped his fist and you sat up as you, again, showed him a rat-tailed comb and you flipped it between your fingers. “Watch how I part this, and try to mimic it as best you can, okay?” You whisper quietly as you start to part it from the front of your head. He just watched attentively with pure astonishment as your coils parted and showed your scalp with ease. It was like watching a hot knife cut through butter.     “Woah….” He whispered out softly as he watched with his hands on your hips. You laughed quietly and gently pushed the loose hair to one side. Usually you’d be able to move fast, but you were slow just because it felt good when you felt his fingers in your hair. He bit his lip as you twirled the hair skillfully in your fingers, then added a rubber band to the end of your hair to keep the twist in place. “You’re so good at this yuki!” He smiled and gently kissed the side of your neck.      “Well I sorta have to be,” you mumble as you hand him the comb. “Now you be sure to be gentle, okay? And… What does yuki mean?”
He took the comb in his hands and gently started to part your hair- admittedly much better than you ever thought he could. They were straight, uniform, clean parts, and that little hum to the music he did when he was focused made it that much better. “Yuki? O-Oh! It means lily in Japanese…. Yknow… Japanese is my native language I just thought it’d be cute to give you a Japanese nickname… I-If you don’t like it I can change it or just say it i-in English,” he said nervously as he tilted your head back and started to twist slowly, making sure that it was tight and secure, but not too tight.     “No no no, you’re okay my little prince,” you hum softly as you rub your hands against his legs causing him to chitter and whine softly. “Actually I think it’s quite cute… And it suits you well…” you muse softly to him as he moves on to the next twist, both of you humming to the song, the smell of the chili in the air blanketing the both of you. By the time he got finished with the last twist, dinner was done, the cornbread still in the oven.     “Hey…” He said softly as you moved to your closet to grab your durag.     “Shhhh I have a surprise for you,” you say quietly as your eyes let off that same golden glow as before. He cocked his head to one side and rose an eyebrow as you emerged with an electric yellow durag in hand, on one side was his signature lightning bolt and on the other was an embroidered icon of him in his signature point-and-shoot pose his glasses carrying a glint to them and by it was his hero name in fancy letters, underneath it was his kanji for his legal name. His eye sparkled even more and his hands quickly became slapped over his mouth.     “Yuki,” he whispered softly from behind his hands, his eyes tearing up. You looked it over and then smirked a little as you looked at him.     “You like? I figured you would considering how you’re always telling me that I look good in yellow… What better yellow than my husband’s, right?” You crawl back to the bed and in between his legs, gently gifting him with a proper kiss, your hands resting against his face, the durag placed messily atop your head as the strings laid at the sides. He eagerly kissed you back, his body practically trembling as he let a couple of tears fall. “Awww baby,” you say with a soft smile as you gently use your thumbs to swipe his tears away. He gripped your hands and kissed at your palms gently.     “That is… Probably one of the most meaningful gifts I have ever seen in my… Entire life… I mean look at it! It looks absolutely AMAZING on you and like… Just… It’s so badass! Like… It’s a little unbelievable actually… It’s ME… I’m a hero now… And I have an amazing little lily at my side to call my own… This is more than I ever could have DREAMED of!” You laugh quietly as he rambles, your eyes gazing lovingly into his as you spread the strings to be completely flat and you gently wrap them around the back of your head and then looked up at him with a soft smile. “This is… More suppose than I could have ever even hoped to have,” he said with his soft vulnerable giggle, gently pressing a kiss into your forehead  before taking the strings in his hands, whispering to himself trying to recall how to tie the strings flat. “D-Don’t tell me! I got it… ‘kay.. So I think you…” he trailed off as his breathing deepened and he bit his lip slowly trying to work through the steps.     “Okay… So you tied it in the back… So I just need to…” He let one of the strings go and he made the string in his hand flat, guiding it above your ear, wrapping it around your forehead. “And then… Bring it around town,” he whispered softly, causing you to giggle and cover your mouth. You noticed his face flush as he watched the design come to life and he bit his lip to contain his squeals. “So… Then…. Around town,” he said softly as he repeated the same steps on the opposite side. You smiled as he rose himself up a little and you buried your face in his chest with a soft sigh as he gently bound both strings in a bow behind your head before leaning back and giggling with jazz hands. “Ah! It looks so good!” He giggled before gently straightening it out and making sure everything was flat and centered. He did, surprisingly well, taking a picture of you and showing you after setting it as his home screen. “God… I could look at you all day,” he said in a breathy whisper before being tackled into the couch by you, you cuddling him close, burying your face into his neck, his muscular arms wrapping around you and holding you close.      “That little ‘around town’ thing was cute, y’know,” you giggled softly as you made him look up at you. His arms rested around your hips as he gave you this beaming grin as the oven alerted the both of you again.     “I-It’s how you taught me… It’s the only way I’ll remember it,” he whined quietly as he leaned up and nipped your neck. You giggled softly and pushed him back down on the couch before sliding off of him again. “Wait! I wanna make plates,” he pouted at you and crossed his arms peeking at you from just over the back of the couch.     “Aht, lay it back down. I’M taking care of it tonight,” you say quietly as you pop your lips at him and he abides, throwing one of his feet over the back of the couch as he continues to watch the show you put on with a soft smile, occasionally taking peeks at you from the couch with a blush washing over his face.      “I could never get tired of this,” he whispered softly to himself.

2020 Vanity Clean Out
I always try to clean out my vanity areas (places where I would keep my skincare, makeup, body care, & hair care products). This year I was a little late. I’ve had this stored in a bag for a really long time I just never got around to writing this up and taking pictures, because these posts tend to be long as I do like to talk a bit about them and the reason why I’m discarding them. Going forward, I would be adding these to my empties and clearing whatever I don’t want every month rather than doing it yearly.
Tumblr media
HAIR CARE
1. Chi Silk Infusion (12oz / 300ml) Honestly, I don’t style my hair with heat tools that often enough to be using this. I’ve had this in my stash for a really long time. It does break my heart that I’m wasting this product since it’s practically still full. I would give this away but I’ve had this for so many years and there’s some weird sediments on the bottom that I don’t feel comfortable giving it away.
2. Aveda smooth infusion style-prep smoother (3.4oz / 100ml) I got this when I went and got a haircut at the Aveda school, which was a long time ago. Honestly, I didn’t find that it did much for my hair. There’s only a little left but I just don’t really reach for it.
3. Aveda invati scalp revitalizer (0.34oz / 10ml) I got this for free with a shampoo and conditioner. I’m not sure if it really did anything for my scalp and there was a strong herbal scent to it, which I’m not a big fan of. This product was also another that I didn’t reach for. There is only a little left but it is a very old sample.
SKIN CARE
4. Huxley Secret of Sahara Sleep Mask; Good Night (30g / 1.06oz) Honestly, I’m not a big fan of sleeping masks. I believe this one you can also use it as a moisturizer as well. I didn’t really like it, but packaging and product consistency are on point. I’ve only used it about 1-3 times, before it expired.
5. Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Hydrating Toner (15ml) I tried using this but I can’t get past the scent of this. It does smell very natural, but strong as well. I’m going to keep the bottle as it’s glass and will be nice for travels. I also found the formulation sticky/oily as well. It does say to shake it before use each time.
6. Frienvita Peeling N Deadcell Sauna Godness Pad These were my worst purchase ever. I did bring a few of these on one of my travels but it was horrible. The pad fell apart so easily and the rice/ exfoliation product was so lumpy that it was super hard to spread, yet alone exfoliate with.
BODY CARE
7. The Face Shop smile foot Relaxing Patch These are amazing when your legs or feet are sore. I’m only getting rid of these because they have expired since 2018 and have lost its effectiveness. I did try them prior to putting it in my dispose bin.
8. Miniso Winter Lovers Hand Cream: Sweet Orange (0.7oz / 20g) I bought this on a whim since the store was closing and had a sale. The pack did come with 3 and I do know that I have used one up not sure about the second one. This one does smell pretty good but the formulation is very bad. It leaves a slight stickiness with a powdery residue. Also when I rub my hands I’m just rubbing the dirt and the cream itself off.
9.  LAVANILA The Healthy Deodorant: Vanilly Summer (57g / 2oz) This was my favourite deodorant for a long time. I really like the round shape as I never feel the plastic hitting my skin compared to the typical oval ones. I love the scent of this, this was a limited edition scent. This is just really old to the point that the actually product falls out now, plus the scent is no longer as strong as it was before. I’m a little sad that Sephora no longer carries this brand. I have also tried the Vanilla Passionfruit which is another one of my favourite scents.
10. Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Liquid Crystal Deodorant: Lemongrass (60ml) I wasn’t a big fan of this. I didn’t like how grainy it felt. And like a lot of their products there is a strong scent. Not a big fan of liquid deodorants.
MAKEUP
11. Skin Food Pearl Creamy Under Eye Pencil This was one of the first ever eye product that I ever bought. I loved how creamy it was and the color pay off was excellent. I wished they still had this. I wasn’t able to find it when I went back in 2018. I have found that Skin Food seemed to be fading away in Korea and on the market.
12. LABIOTTE Wine Angle Mascara 02 Volume Fixer  I wanted a mascara that would help with volume. I found that this one did give me volume but when I bat my eyes the product would transfer. I would not get this again. Packaging is very cute though.
13. The Face Shop Make Me Star waterproof gel liner 02 I didn’t really use this that much. Thought I would just have it on hand if I ever wanted to line my eyes. This has now become hard/ dried.
14. the Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer 01 I really liked using this concealer, but nowadays I just use my cushions as concealer as well. This one is just old and has separated now.
15. e.l.f Powder Brush This was my favourite brush. The handle actually came off, I did repair it but then it came off again. Hence I’m calling it quits for this brush now because I can always get another one since it’s inexpensive, but for now I will be using what is in my stash.
16. IOPE Air Cushion XP N21 Ice Vanilla I bought this on a whim and to test it out. This cushion is very old, back when cushions just started to become popular. Honestly, this was too light for my skin and felt very heavy, but gave a very dewy finish. I’m actually getting rid of the compact and a refill that I never opened. This cushion was quite expensive at the time like $40-50 CAD for a university student.
17. Laniege BB Cushion Light  This was my first cushion. I’ve actually used. I did finish it, I just kept the case which I am now getting rid of.
18. moonshot Micro Correctfit Cushion 201 Beige This cushion was okay I still prefer the Microfit version. But the compact of this one is so pretty, sadly I dropped it on the ground and it’s broken. Hence, I’m discarding it. I did finish the product.
19. Mamonde Blossoming High Cover Cushion Perfect Liquid #21 Ivory This cushion was different in that it had a mesh part instead of a sponge. Coverage was high but I found it a bit cakey on my skin and heavy. I also found that it accentuated my dry areas.
20. Tarte energy LipSurgence skintuative lip tint I believe I got this through Sephora Birthday gifts. This is super old, hence why I’m discarding it. I loved this as it gave my lips the perfect amount of color and shine. Too bad they no longer have this. I was going to purchase/ find something similar but I have bought so many lip products over the years that I will have to hold off for now.

The most engaging thing about the Amika dryer is its long, restricted barrel, which gave me more control than some other dryer I tried. I could get truly near my underlying foundations without having my hair blown around all over the place and, at last, tangled. My hair dried as straight and smooth as it did with the Bio Ionic, as well.
We deducted focuses as a result of the control settings. This dryer has two warmth settings (cool and hot) and two power settings (low and high), each constrained by two individual catches, rather than the flip switches utilized by most dryers. On the off chance that the dryer is blowing cool hair, you click the "hot/cool" catch to change to hot; a similar thought goes for the power settings. Lamentably, you can't perceive what setting they're on, as you can with the standard switches. Indeed, you'll notice by how hot the air is or how strong the air is blowing out, however I thought that it was odd that the controls weren't named to mirror this
At 106.6°F, this dryer came to among the most sultry temperatures we estimated, and I wanted that there was a medium warmth setting, as can be found on the also ultra-hot Devacurl.
Am I being excessively demanding? Possibly. In any case, the Amika likewise was not a top entertainer in our lab tests, either. It was in the base portion of contenders when we tried its quality in the ping-pong ball test.
Remington Hair Dryer with Ionic + Ceramic + Tourmaline Technology
This Remington Hair Dryer takes care of business well without burning up all available resources. In addition, it has a great deal of advantages you'd get with increasingly costly dryers like ionic, ceramic, and tourmaline technology for smoother hair and less frizz.

The 1,875-watt max power engine implies you're getting a brisk dry, and three diverse warmth settings and two distinctive speed settings permit you to locate the correct custom setting for your hair type. Hit the virus shot catch for cool air that secures your painstakingly made styles. You even get connections — a diffuser and a concentrator.
FHI HEAT Platform Nano Weight Pro
Getting another hair dryer won't be that much simple as much it shows up. There are huge amounts of brands offering their very own product professing to be the best. Conair Infiniti Pro
The brand Conair is synonymous with hair dryers, This is an exemplary at a sensible cost, yet redesigned enough to engage a customer scanning for a dryer with somewhat more force.
Be that as it may, this Conair is symbolic of the contrast between a very good quality dryer and a spending one. It was recognizably heavier, appeared to be stronger, and had a more vulnerable air stream than the challenge. Its concentrator spout is excessively wide to adequately focus the air, with side vents that muss up as of now styled hair.
This Conair offers three warmth settings and two paces, however none of them were sufficiently amazing to tame Teich's hair and the outcome was a fuzzy style. I bought 2 more for each of my sisters and they all love it too! I absolutely love that it's in my favorite color. People with hair that want to keep their hair as always need not a hair diffuser attachment. You may want a dryer that weighs as small as possible and that is easy to hold, if your hair is long and thick. Oddly, I would not say this translates into faster drying, but it can cause less frizzy hair (although in the event that you desire completely sleek hair, you are going to require a flat iron as well). This hair dryer gives confidence from BaByliss goods to me, so their curved iron was also purchased by me according to my friend's recommendation and it works great! The vinegar also operates by detaching the nits making it a lot easier to release. But unless you've taken a look at the tools for wet hair, then you could be making hair styling harder than it has to be.

7 Ways For Hair Care In Summer
Introduction: What are the benefits of hair care in summer?
Tumblr media
Photo by Tim Mossholder on Pexels
Your hair can get dry and dull during the warmer months. There are many things you can do to make your hair more moisturized and healthy this season. Here are seven good reasons to take some time to treat your hair.
If your skin is not as tight as it used to be, your hair will look better if you apply serum instead of oil. If you enjoy looking fabulous, then the choice is yours as to whether or not you use these things but both are highly effective.
Hair becomes weaker when there is less moisture in it so using oils (or serums which are also oils) helps re-moisturize damaged hair too. Damage from chemical treatments, smoking, sun exposure or just age makes hair less receptive to anything going into it so applying oils is an excellent way to restore health to dry hair.
The Different Types of Hair Care Products: Shampoo, Conditioner, Styling Products, etc.

Your hair is your most visible body feature. Therefore, it’s important to pay special attention to it during summer.
If you color your hair, make sure to put aside an hour or two every weekend to give it some extra TLC. You can start by applying mild shampoo to get rid of any built-up dirt/seaweed that may be present. Then rinse with water.
Next, dry your hair using a drying spray or oil free moisturizer. Leaving your hair wet allows more room for paint coverage, which is why many artists prefer dripping brushes. If you want your hair to have that effect without adding moisture, try running a comb through after washing.
Once washed and dried, let your hair air dry. There are several options here – you could sleep with headphones listening to music, or you could get a blowout at the salon. Without blowing out your hair, there are various ways to pull off looking ‘wooly’.
The key is keeping the surface area as smooth as possible. Here are all the different types of textures available, along with their benefits and where they might be best applied :
Tips for Making Your Summer Hair Care Routine Work for You
Tumblr media
In this section, we’ll talk about how to make your summer hair care routine work for you. Learning these tips will make it so that you can spend less time doing your hairstyle goals and more time enjoying the rest of your summer.
Learn what type of haircare works best for you, including home remedies, and learn why certain things may not be safe. By knowing where the line is between hydrating and drying out your skin, you can also hydrate and cleanse your body before hitting the beach or pool.
This way, your face and other selected areas won’t suffer from excessive dryness or wrinkling. Learn everything I know about giving my own hair some needed moisture with the help of natural products.
By June 20, you should start seeing results! All of the natural ingredients in these cleaners and tonics have healing properties, so this is all new information for them. It’s hard to find information on websites that does not include claims like “healing activity” or “will cure your problems”, but there are true statements made regarding each product that warrants further consideration.
How to Protect Your Hair from the Sun and Heat Damage
Tumblr media

Photo by Tim Mossholder on Pexels
There are many things you can do to help protect your hair from the sun, also known as heat stress. You can try keeping your hair away from the lights or mirrors, which will prevent reflectivity. You can try not sleeping with your head under the blankets, which will keep your hair dry.
You can also try some very small changes, such as putting your phone down after trying to shave, removing yourself from distractions when cooking, and avoiding products containing chemicals that can’t be read online.
A large part of protecting your hair is preventing damage before it happens. These are all steps you can take to ensure that your hair is properly taken care of.
If you don’t have time to maintain this much, at least save it for special occasions. It is still important to avoid stress about your hair and make sure it is safe to remove it often.
Put up a good conditioner and mask and work them into your scalp; you’ll need them later. Then, spend extra money to get these additional benefits: add protein extracts and antioxidants to promote growth and repair if necessary.
How to Style Your Hair in a Way That Protects It from Sun Damage
Tumblr media

There are a couple of different styles you can choose from when it comes to your hair. You can let it air dry or put it up in a ponytail.
If you opt to use a shampoo, make sure it is an antioxidant-rich one. Antioxidants help protect your skin from sun damage.
When you sleep next to a radio or other source of loud noise, don’t worry about earache; instead, invest in earplugs. They block more sound than glasses do.
Conclusion
youtube
In this section, I’ll give you several products that can help you achieve different styles of hair.
I have chosen two styles, half-up and up-do’s. These are very easy to do alone but if you need help, buying one of these products is highly recommended.
They are called ‘styling sets’ – here is an example of one brand: https://wwwboots.com/collections/all (this link is affiliate).
There are many different brands and varieties. They all work much the same way, however their marketing campaigns are different.
For instance, some companies will promote how they protect your cuticles from drying out, or keep your hair smooth and soft, etc. So it is important to see whether any benefits claim or not.
The thing about home remedies is that although no scientific research has demonstrated them to be effective, people continue to use them. Some experts believe that until more definitive studies are done, we should consider what was found by early researchers before going too far into the field.
That includes continuing to study the causes and consequences of hair loss, which is still occurring largely due to chemical treatments used today.
In order to find out more, make an appointment with the best plastic surgeon in Vaishali, Dr. Johar’s Plastic Surgery Group.

Any hair tips? Because your hair is just beautiful 😍
omg so I actually have so many hair tips now
1. use paraben & sulfate free hair products. I’m currently using mostly Shea Moisture products but devacurl is good too, amongst other brands.
2. Keep your hair moisturised throughout the week. depends on your hair porosity but I refresh my curls with water, a bit of detangler then a light cream everyday. Also I let my hair air dry but others prefer a diffuser (which I haven't tried yet)
3. wash your hair only once a week and dry it with a microfibre towel to prevent frizz. You can also wrap your hair in a silk/satin hair wrap or sleep on a silk/satin pillowcase to keep your hair from looking nappy throughout the week.
4. Trim regularly. I need to get a trim myself ! & try to avoid using heat.
5. Invest in some hair treatments! I’m deciding between getting a keratin treatment this month which is a protein treatment to promote hair growth or a hydrating treatment because my hair dries up so quickly!
These are the products I use below :
SHAMPOO - https://www.sheamoisture.com/jamaican-black-castor-oil-strengthen-restore-shampoo-jbsh-smh-8oz-01.html
CONDITIONER - https://www.sheamoisture.com/100-virgin-coconut-oil-daily-hydration-conditioner.html (NOT A FAN OF THIS ONE BECAUSE IT HAS NO SLIP)

Round Brush Second, use a round brush if desired for volume or without a brush for sleekness. Style The final step involves applying product such as hairspray, serum or oil to add a healthy sheen.
How do you get a perfect blowout?
It's not enough just to use heat, brushes or products like hairspray in order to achieve that perfectly smooth finish we see celebrities often wear down red carpets - these stars have stylists as well! To recreate this look at home, wrap your head with plastic from ear level downwards. Comb the roots of your hair together and then point your head towards the ceiling so gravity can do its work. I blow out my hair every day and it looks good! A blowout can be achieved with a round brush, to create volume and smoothness, or without a brush for sleek look. The key is in the technique; blow drying your hair at the right temperature (not too hot), using products that have heat protector properties like thermal wax or mousse when needed, detangling before blowing dry so you're not lifting up tangles as much. These are all things stylists recommend if you want to achieve perfect looking ones on yourself.
