Are you named after anyone?

Not after a real person, but my name is a reference to a fairy tale, so I suppose I'm named after a fairy tale character but not one who has a proper name. My mom made it up and almost no one else has this name.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Okay so the last time I cried was yesterday, imagining an emotional moment in the fic I'm writing and crying at that. 😅 More generally, the answer to this question 9 times out of 10 is "at a movie I watched recently." I tend to cry at moments when film characters are sad and crying. Doesn't matter how silly or absurd the film is or what the stakes are. So before the time yesterday, probably the last time I cried was at GOTG 3. I guess these two answers are basically the same: I cry at fictional characters being sad.

3. Do you have kids?

Nope, and I don't plan to. I'm too scared to even raise a plant or a pet at the moment to be honest.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I don't think I'm a particularly sarcastic person.

5. What sports do you play/have you played?

I've never really been good at sports to be honest. I was on the swim team in a high school where anyone is allowed to join any sports team, and I still really enjoy swimming laps in a long pool although it's a hard resource to find (like, you need a university or other place with fancy sports facilities, and there are probably pretty narrow time windows in which the pool is open to the public), and it takes a lot of work before/after swimming (packing all the equipment, showering, changing, etc.). I also did aikido for a while, but it's been a while since I did it. Again, it's a bit hard to find an active group that isn't super inconvenient to make it to practice for (especially in cold weather!).

6. What's the first thing you notice about other people?

Accent, maybe? That's more of a thing now that I live in London, which is a very multilingual city in a country that has runaway micro-regional accent divergence.

7. What's your eye color?

Black (I mean, "dark brown," technically, but... they are basically black).

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Omg happy endings. I can't deal with scary movies.

9. Any special talents?

I play violin. Also, I'm decent enough at graphic design for that to come in handy at times. I'm sure my lackadaisical attitude toward consistency (e.g. in margins, spacing, font sizes, etc.) probably drives actual graphic designers up the wall.

Writing fic and essays, drawing, reading, making websites, playing video games.

Not yet. I hope to in the future.

Chemistry, mainly just because it was interesting and also really easy for me. I liked the puzzle-solving nature to chemistry problems, which I guess foreshadowed the field I ended up going into (computer science).

I'm pretty happy where I am, but if I could do anything regardless of practicality or talent, I would want to make video games (assuming this would involve the creative control of only making games I thought were worth making and I had a good work environment).

WRITING COMMISSIONS - NSFW + SFW

Opening up writing commissions. For any commission, please let me know whether you want that to be private (only you get the result), public (everyone gets it and knows who commissioned it), or anonymous (everyone gets it but you the commissioner stay safely anonymous.) For the most part we will be communicating through Tumblr PMs for these for ease of use.

$10 - CONCEPT:

You shoot me a dynamic, an idea, or a prompt and get a fairly detailed concept piece which is roughly 500 - 1000 words of me describing casually and informally an interesting take on the proposed scenario. You can use it as a writing prompt or just enjoy it as-is. This can be a romance concept (like, say, superhero x supervillain enemies to lovers), a scene concept (chosen one hero is raised by the monster he is designed to eventually kill), a dynamic (ultra-powerful wild creature and their very stoic handler), etc.

$10 - LOVE INTEREST DESIGN:

You tell me all about your beloved OC, and I will custom-design them a love interest who will have a compelling and interesting dynamic with them. Similar to the concepts, this will be fairly casual and informal in tone, and include a rough idea of their appearance, their vibes, what their damage is, why they're compatible with your OC, and a concept for how they might meet. Roughly 500 - 1000 words. I'm totally comfortable playing with your worldbuilding, it's a fun challenge. These are some of my favorite things to write.

$20 - SHORT FICTION REQUEST:

You give me a prompt, a dynamic, a scene idea, or a scenario, with some info about what you'd enjoy. Then I'll take it from there, with the creative freedom for me to play in the space and create a full-fledged work of fleshed out prose, roughly 1k to 2k words in length. This is NOT the right tier for me to write something about your OCs or to write from a detailed outline.

$30 -SHORT FICTION COMMISSION:

1 - 2k words of short fiction, written to spec. Very similar to the $20 tier, but this is where I can write about your OCs or write from a detailed outline. I can also write fanfic at this tier, but that's extremely dependent on fandom/how much I would need to research to be in character. The extra fee is to cover the additional work to make sure I'm complying with your vision for the piece.

How come you finished welcome home commissions before other commissions?

Sorry to be kind of rude but a friend of mine commissioned something a while before you started posting about Welcome Home and it’s understandable that you are busy but the welcome home commissions were likely commissioned after you started posting about it so I don’t know why you did them first.

I already know I’m gonna sound like an ass for a moment but here we go-

Firstly this can be taken up privately by your friend if they’re concerned. I also don’t particularly appreciate this in my inbox but to answer, it’s just whatever I can get through quickest. My oldest of the ones sitting are from much longer ago than anything anyone in Tumblr has commissioned me for and I’m finishing those tomorrow (they’re from Twitter and Instagram respectively and I dedicated my entire last Saturday to them alone). Those two have been quite kind and expressed their concerns about turnaround themselves if need be

Anything that’s particularly fun and interesting gets done quicker and keeps space open when others are a bit stuck when I need a quick slot filled like last week to cover an expense, for example. Scraping by on harder/less interesting commissions slows things down

Truly, it’s not that I don’t like some commissions, they’re just harder to sit and focus on

Additionally, my time management has been awful this year because of several points of uncertainty about getting a job, a couple scares on my living situation, and not having a clear window of time consistently to know when to work on things that have been sitting (and of course, burnout is always an issue). It’s easy to find time to just. Scribble and doodle, maybe do a piece for myself, but getting actual work done is a little more difficult. I’ve discovered preclaimed adopts and taking up so many commissions in May last minute wasas a bad choice so I’m still quite literally 15 commissions in the hole to finish on top of your friend’s commission. So making sure that isn’t gonna happen again is all I can do, at the moment. I’ve been chipping away at em in little bits of free time as best I can, reorganizing my canvases, getting a good idea of what’ll be finished first and last, etc etc I’ve actually been quite productive for the last week or so

If your friend is upset they need to tell me. They’re the client, and the content doesn’t concern you directly if you haven’t commissioned me and are waiting. If they’d like a refund because the turnaround is too long, that’s for them to communicate with me and I’m happy to provide a refund. I’m not always gonna be the best artist for the job if you want quick work and that’s fine. I’ve refunded MUCH larger pieces before for that reason. Clients may check in at any time whether I’ve got progress to show for the time or not. And oftentimes I don’t! Sometimes it’s days or a couple-few weeks before I can get progress to people, it just happens and I’ve been working on making sure it doesn’t keep happening so I don’t have to make people expect to wait so long before they hear from me. Trust me, it’s always a bit disappointing when I can’t show anything

And now that I’m working as well, my ability to finish those things just depends on what days I get to myself during the week and atm thats 3 days this week so those 3 days are dedicated to downtime and paid commission work. Which quite frankly, is a bit exhausting. Fun puppet characters and scaly dragons and whatnot are fun and rewarding and I’m clearing my queue while doing something I’m enjoying and that gets me to the older stuff much faster

I’m very sorry the turnaround estimate was more than a little off and it’ll be tweaked for better preparation in the future. I’m also sorry if they’ve asked and I didn’t respond quickly or have sounded dismissive. Hell, some clients pester and pester and that certainly makes doing work for them unenjoyable. I think about these commissions every single day and how I can approach them so I can finish them by sometime in July

If your piece involves an OC, I request some form of your own reference art. It can literally be a stick figure on a napkin, just give me something to go off of.

If your piece involves a character from a piece of media I'm not familiar with, I may ask you to provide some context for me to work from. Yes, I do live under a rock, so it's best to not assume I'll know what you know about your favorite media.

If you do not, for whatever reason, want to provide reference art or context, I will be happy to draw what *I* interpret from your request instead. I don't recommend this option.

I don't typically draw a lot of mech/robot stuff, but I wouldn't say no to giving it a shot for a request. Just....expect it to be very much in my own style.

I can accept payment through paypal, buymeacoffee, or kofi. I request payment upfront.

I am currently not taking NSFW requests, but may in the future. I may also take comic requests in the future - I'm just trying to figure out commissions pricing for that since it's not something I've really seen elsewhere.

hi all! i have a drawing program and have been using after effects for years. so, alongside my regular commissions, i have decided to also offer up commissions for puppet animation. all artwork used in them is my own. this in an example:

fun things that can be done:

simple animations, whether it be hair movement or flowing, limbs moving, or others getting close to one another. you get the picture

lighting and movement effects

can be done in black and white or color, or even a repeating gif if you'd like!

prices: one character animated: $100 two characters animated: $150 prices are set for half body and facial animations. i will not do full body. if there are several pieces you want done for your animation (such as more than two body movements) it will be more and will require a discussion of what you want done. piece will be about 4-6 seconds long (mostly to make sure it fits in tumblr's gif limits)

other things:

you can have the animation in video or gif format (i can make sure it fits under tumblr's gif size limit)

i do not mind the gif being reposted but do NOT reupload the video to any other sites (like yt) or put copyrighted music over it

no adult/minor or incest ships, i'm actively beating off proshippers from this post with a stick

no aot/harry potter/vivziepop works and i can turn down other series if i'm uncomfortable with it

Hey party people so I'm not usually one for this kind of thing but do yourself and others a favor by reporting and blocking an account called @rokon24 who seems to be either a spam account or just general malicious intent because they seem to be

A. Stealing artwork and posting with no mention of the original artist, presumably to pass on as their own work.

B. Copy and pasting entire fics to, once again presumably, take credit for said work.

C. Linking porn sites to everything they post/steal/copy. Every. Single. Post.

Allow me to elaborate. Also be warned of mentioned sexual content so I'm slapping this with an 18+ warning just to cover my butt/bases.

1st. Stealing artwork, Exhibit A.

Now, anyone who's been in the twisted wonderland fandom long enough knows how to spot @ryllen 's art style from a mile away, given the fact that it's so distinct, which is what initially caught my attention because I was scrolling through the trey clover tag and ryllen's art popped up as posted under rokon. I will also be showing the replies in added screenshots that point out when something is being reposted with no credit.

Exhibit B.

I personally know nothing about Murder Drones but I do know of it. Basically same thing as Exhibit A just in a different fandom. Same scummy practice of taking art and passing it off as their own when in fact it's @new-management-murder-drones-au . It also seems like rokon has a fairly quick turnaround time of taking things.

Still a very shitty thing.

2nd. Stealing fanfics, Exhibit A.

As you can see in the screenshot replies, @shouyuus fic for the arcane series is just straight up copy-paste according to fellow users. Arcane seems to be the latest obsession of rokon given the fact that it is extremely popular right now and there were tons of fanart and text posts made which I can bet you were reposted as well.

Exhibit B.

Once again, more of the same copy paste method, this time with @nezuscribe in the jjk fandom.

It's insane when Tumblr has the reblog button that literally would have done the same thing with less effort. You have to go out of your way to steal content this way. What literally is a button click becomes taking like 5 extra steps just to get the same result.

3rd. Linking porn sites.

This is what confuses me tbh. I can't tell if this is bot behavior or what since literally every post has that "learn more" porn site attachment, but usually these types of bots are very obvious in their sexual content add-ons. So this leads me to believe it's an actual person considering the hoops they're jumping through to either fool people or just steal from others.

The fact that they try to pass themselves off as a news channel when literally nothing they have posted in the last 2 weeks is news related confuses me even more.

I literally could not tell you if any of the posts they make are actually them or just ripped from someone else word for word. I'm not inclined to believe otherwise so the only thing I can tell you is look up the account and see if you either see your personal stuff or someone you know if you have the time or energy for it. Block and report for whatever you think fits and hopefully the account goes away quietly and peacefully.

Spread the news to other fandoms and creators as well and hopefully everything works out and this user is punished for what they've done.

But don't try to send hate messages or threats or anything stupid like that. Just report the account and move on unless they or whoever runs the account tries to escalate things. Don't be an idiot over someone who doesn't deserve the mental exercise.

Alright I’ve avoided saying anything about the new Taylor album but I think I’ve spent enough time thinking about it now to give my opinion. As a lifelong fan of her music TTPD has been the weirdest experience of any album of hers for me.

First listen was just basic front to back while doing some nonograms and my immediate thought was that this is the worst thing she’s ever released. Like I for real had to take a break to go listen to some 1989 to double check that I don’t just dislike her music as a whole now. (False alarm 1989 is still one of my favorite albums of all time). I spent some time trying to figure out what wasn’t working for me. Most obvious was that the songs feel really dull and samey? They aren’t fun pop songs but they also aren’t the beautiful folksy ballads of folklore/evermore. They felt like they went on forever but also didn’t go anywhere.

All that to say that I was really fucking bored. Thats not enough to make me give up on an album though. I made that mistake with folklore and I wasn’t about to do it again. (I found folklore kind of dull at first listen and just wrote it off as “not for me” before coming back months later and finding a real appreciation for it) What was more concerning is the writing though. I had already seen people joking about the lyrics on this album before I listened and yeah it’s not great. It feels at times like someone doing a parody of Taylor Swift’s writing style. Some of these lyrics are undeniably cringe and thats coming from someone who can withstand a lot of cringe. It’s truly bizarre to listen to because I do think she’s a talented songwriter and she has proved that in past projects but it rarely shines through here.

I was feeling really negative about this album and overall just kind of bummed out that we got a new album from literally my most listened to artist of all time and I didn’t enjoy it with the exception of like 3 songs: Down Bad, Clara Bow, and, the immediate standout for me, I Look In People’s Windows. Heres where things take a turn though. I get a call from my dad (shout out to him! He’s the best ever and I love him) and he was telling me that he listened to the album and wanted to share our thoughts. In case you’re interested his favorites are Fortnight and So High School. I felt kind of bad because I wanted to be excited but I couldn’t give him more than lukewarm opinions on anything.

He then asked me if I could explain to him what certain songs were about with my swiftie knowledge and that kind of perked me up because I realized that I hadn’t done an in depth look into the lyrics yet. I had only listened to it very passively. I basically told him that and said I’d get on it and I could answer any questions he had the next time he called. So with that I went headfirst into listen number 2! I was ready to go with genius lyrics open, taking notes, checking twitter and tumblr and googling stuff. I built a case for my interpretation of every song to present to my dad. And the thing is I was having an absolute blast. It was a complete turnaround from my depressing first listen. I felt like a detective and I spent almost all night on this. I went to work the next day on like 4 hours of sleep but I felt nothing but pure joy and excitement.

I had to ask myself though.. is this a good way to engage with music? Is it possible to say you enjoyed a piece of art if you can only find that enjoyment through picking apart the personal life of the artist? The fun I’m getting from this isn’t the fun I feel when listening to good music it’s the fun I feel from watching reality tv. I mean yes I also have felt the same satisfaction from other Taylor Swift albums but it’s a secondary feeling. Like for example my favorite song of hers is All Too Well 10 Minute Version. I think that song being autobiographical gives it a lot of power but I think it would still be a masterpiece if the whole story was entirely unrelated to Taylor’s real personal life. On the other hand I think most of the songs The Tortured Poets Department would be entirely uninteresting to me if it wasn’t for the clues into her personal life and feelings.

And that brings us to my subsequent listens. This has just been me listening to it in my regular life. In the car, at work when I was away from the counter doing some pricing, at home doing laundry, etc. I haven’t been able to feel the joy I felt during my deep dive into the lyrics again but I also haven’t felt the misery of my first listen either. Theres still more skips than the average TS album but a lot of the songs have grown on me especially after going in depth into the lyrics. The cringe lyrics are immediately obvious but after going line by line like I did I realized that theres still plenty of lyrics that feel like the old Taylor Swift I’ve loved for so long. After all the emotional ups and downs I’ve landed at a fairly neutral position. It’s not a very good album as a whole but I’ve made my peace with that. It’s not as bad as some people are saying it is either. In the end I’m moving my favorites to a playlist and the rest I will not be going out of my way to listen to again. If you are considering listening to TTPD and haven’t yet.. you would probably have a better time with one of her other albums instead. I’d recommend 1989!

Sweetheart~ it's completely fine to get excited, and totally okay to get fixed on a scenario. I mean, I do that pretty much all the time here. I do this because I love sharing in the tickly situations we dream about, because I get it~! I'm the same way. I started writing because I had scenarios I was hoping to see in stories and never did. I realized a lot of us are like that so I wanted to try and give tickles as much as I could~<3

I'll never ask for payment, or tips, or a trade for what I do. I only ask for patience and understanding. I do this when I have time, and I don't treat it like a job where I have to crank through every ask in the order they arrived within an expected turnaround timeline. I thumb through the tease and find one that gets me inspired in the moment, and then I write as much as I can. I'll never write a tease just to write it, and that means sometimes there's a wait and it might be a long one.

Just because I haven't done your tease yet doesn't mean I won't do it. The very few times I've gotten an ask I didn't think I could handle or had an objection to, I said so right away. Please, please be patient and don't take offense if your tease is in the waiting room for a while or if I don't respond to a DM. I'm one person and I don't have a lot of free time. It probably looks like I'm here a lot lately but that's the tumblr queue gradually pushing out a week's worth of things I wrote~ because like I said, I get fixated too and sometimes I write 30 tickle hot teases in an hour~

When is the comic 9002 going to be posted?

To be fully honest, I cannot be 100% certain on the start date. Yes, I will be posting here on tumblr consistently, but frankly, I’ll only really start posting the comic (or at least more than just chapt. The first one) after I garner a tiny little audience.

I live in constant fear of throwing my work into the void _(´ཀ`」 ∠)_

How is Mr. Moth going to go about posting the comic?

The comic is in constant production, and how I think I’m gonna do it is posting page by page in the order you’d read it in. (Title, prologue, page 1, page 2, etc.)

The only issue with that is my unfamiliarity with tumblr and how well this stuff works with the site. I’ll do some research into this!!

How frequently to expect comic posting

Guys, imma be real… it’s like going to be very inconsistent.

Right now, I technically have enough content for 6 finished posts (meaning non-WIP content), and I’d like to be able to stay ahead of the curve like that forever. Hooooowever, s c h o o l. And other things like family trips and… having a life.

Yes, I am on vacation right now, and I have plenty of time to work on the comic + other posts on here. However, i have something called a “life” and a “relationship”. Therefore, I will not be shut in my room working on this all summer.

However, whenever I can, i will work on the project, and see how far this wave takes me :^)

A text-based Munday post!

I am very slowly trying to catch up with replies as I have a lot going on. At present, I'm trying to share new IC content every other day with art/aesthetics in-between. That's about all I can manage this week. As of writing this post, I have two tumblr threads to reply to and one discord thread to reply to.

With that being said, I will be taking a hiatus from August 28 to September 8. Dragon Con is coming up soon (and I'm not done crafting yet, much less packing!) and I have been assigned to attend a professional conference the week after. If you would like a reply to a thread of ours in the next few weeks, posting a reply earlier rather than later this week is the best way to have me possibly get you something back before September 8!

I will try to write during whatever downtime I have that isn't sleeping/eating/looking after my house, my cat, and my husband. But I likely won't be queuing things until September 8 at the earliest, with September 9 and 10 looking far more likely.

I will post an official hiatus message closer to August 28. I wish I could be here and doing more, but I'm overwhelmed with so much offline right now that I just can't devote a lot of time to threads, especially with a quick turnaround. Additionally, my hiatus will also extend to discord: my time will be very limited over there as well so please do not be alarmed if I cannot reply to plotting or OOC messages quickly. I may need a day or several to reply properly.

And if you've read this far...my birthday is tomorrow/Tuesday and I'm not even really celebrating it: two long/intense meetings at the office and then Dragon Con prep. Being old isn't all that fun sometimes. But I likely won't have time to be around here so I thought I'd mention it now. 🙃

I usually do full edits, where I go over every sentence. Full edits are what you will want if you want me to check for grammar, pacing, and flow.

I can also do overall comments, where I read the piece/chapter and only give comments at the end. These comments are typically more general and I am much quicker at getting the piece back to you.

I will beta any rating and any genre. The only thing I’d be hesitant to beta would be A/B/O dynamics, simply because I have zero knowledge of it.

I prefer to use Word and its “Track Changes” function to do my edits. Google Docs also works. While I am your beta, we can keep in touch in any way and however often you’d like. E-mail, tumblr, and Discord are all good ways we can keep in touch if you have any questions about my edits.

Turnaround Time

For shorter pieces (less than 8k words) I will usually get those back to you within a week from the date you send me your piece. If I take longer than that, feel free to ask for an update. The same turnaround applies to longer pieces that are sent one chapter/section at a time if they are under the 8k limit.

For longer pieces (8k+), time will vary depending on the length and the level of edits/comments you would like. I probably won’t be able to give you an exact timetable.

If you have a time restraint, then consider asking for overall comments and provide targeted questions for me to answer. You can ask for details about this when you contact me.

After You’ve Received Your Feedback

When you get your piece back with my comments and suggestions, it is completely up to you to decide if you want to keep any of them. However, if you have any questions about my edits or if you want me to take a second look at a particular section then feel free to contact me again. I encourage you to start up a conversation about your piece because that way you will get the best beta experience I can provide. I especially encourage it if you have submitted a long piece because with those I am bound to miss some things. I promise, if you want to send me a list of 20+ questions, I will not be annoyed, so please go for it! However, this is completely optional.

I always wondered why she was so quick at posting. I just don't know, there was no way a person can be so quick at it. And I discussed about her stolen tyun, temptation fic, she said it won't have part 2. When even I wanted to ask for it, but i didn't as she said she would leave it to people's imagination. She said she didn't know the meaning of a simple word (i wont say what it is cause it gives away something of mine) but her stolen posts said otherwise. I should have noticed then. And also, I haven't yet read jjk Fanfictions for which I had no idea. but I'm still in a shock that she PLAGIARIZED. and the proofs are here so I don't think I should make it a huge deal but I genuinely can't imagine how it feels to have my works stolen and you guys genuinely don't know how it feels to have befriended a plagiarist, for whom you are always pestered. The only thing is. I want Tumblr to take an action or she take her posts down. I just don't care anymore. I offer so many of apologies and PRAYERS that she gets some conscience knocked into her and come back, take her posts down and be a better person.

I'm very sorry if people are pestering you about her. That must be very annoying to deal with. It's not my intention to have anyone be harassed for being friends with this person. Every day, I've been getting notifications that I've been mentioned in asks. I'm glad people are spreading awareness, but please DO NOT harass people who were hajunzi's friends. That is very gross behavior that I will not stand for. They had nothing to do with her stealing people's fics. Leave them alone

As for her posting quickly, I don't have much to say. Everything she took was over several thousands of words long, so I imagine it must have been weird for her to have such a quick turnaround. I used to post imagines here on tumblr, and it took me a very long time to write even the most simple posts. My experience isn't universal or anything obviously, but her posting such long fics frequently would have to make some people feel inadequate :/
