Truth off my chest I don't like the "Oh what if Kohane/other vbs members/Ken also gets terminally ill!!" An-centric aus/fanfics. Not at all. Like that's not even angst in a fun way and not in a way that would explore the characters. It's just miserable and pointless and sad and it does nothing to me except make me mildly irritated. Also terminally ill people are disabled and if you're using terminal illness as a plot point to make another character sad that's actually kinda ableist and I wish we talked about that more in fandom/writer spaces in general.
