my thoughts on saltburn are it’s as if the secret history really, really wanted to be provocative

I mean really, really wanted to be provocative. And not much else?

There were definitely a couple good sequences (there was a stretch when the ‘accidents’ started happening that was really interesting) but it didn’t seem to want to actually do anything other than have a few scenes so that people could go on tiktok and be like ‘omg did you SEE the bathtub scene?’

#maybe I’m just desensitized haha #performances were great and cinnamon tography #but during the most provocative scenes I was just like..yup you did that #i liked the ‘other’ bathtub scene better that really intense closeup #where she’s talking about him being a moth #also there were some anachronisms which was frustrating for a time period I distinctly remember lol #so that was a weird experience #and also some very questionable plot stuff in the last bit #what does he do from 2006-2022?#that was a hole that confused me
