Sadly all my favourite characters died in the previous books (piper my beloved).

Last thing I googled: The menu for the restaurant I will visit with my sister today. If I go there unprepared, I may get overwhelmed by the food selection and order something I'll regret. Happened to often >_< To much choice, not enough time.

Mutuals I want to know better

Last song I listened to: Howling by FLOW x GRANRODEO, on repeat might I add. My go-to playlist is one with all the nnt openings and endings (+ Perfect time). Sometimes I end up listening to one of my favorites (Howling and Good Day) on repeat instead XD

Favorite color: Used to be pink but leaning more towards purple nowadays.

Currently watching: About to start another Seven Deadly Sins rewatch, recently finished Mech Cadets, also recently watched Red, White & Royal Blue again, otherwise trying not to start anything new until I've finished the projects I need to get done in August because I know I suck at pacing myself XD

Currently reading: uhmm... a textbook on speech-language pathology? (refreshing my knowledge before going back to uni full-time on Monday after a year of only a couple courses here and there to catch up). And catching up on the 4KOTA manga. Also hoping to get back to reading the Lockwood & Co. books and finally tackling my marked for later list on ao3 once my days go from summer chaotic to school year structured(-ish).

Sweet/savory/spicy: Anything but spicy. When I say I have no tolerance for spicy food I mean I have NO tolerance for spicy food.

Relationship status: Single 💚

Current obsessions: Seven Deadly Sins and... well, any other may come and go, but Seven Deadly Sins is the one obsession that stays no matter what else might catch my interest for a while (it's crazy to think that this time last year I hadn't(?) watched or read any nnt yet).

Last thing I googled: "beta av", "beta av engelska", "beta av idiom engelska", "beta av english" - including all of these because they're all about the same thing, me trying and failing to find an English version of the expression.

Currently working on: Too many things lol. My Meliodas Can Cook (Demon Food) fic, the next part of my Meliodas' Demon Secret analysis series, some other nnt fics here and there, a vld fic I also kinda wanna finish for the ficwip 5k, some nnt videos here and there.

rambles about some of my choices under the cut:

First of all, I have to admit that I haven't played any version of P1 and Eternal Punishment, because didn't have time to play actual games and gameplay of Innocent Sin kinda discouraged me to do so (what the last year of the high school does to a mf), but I wanted to know all the mainline Persona lore so bad, so in the end I've watched gameplay on yt... Aaand read MI:P manga. #fakefandetected

Honestly, I am a little bit tired of emulating, so I'm manifesting remasters Midori leaked asap 🫠

Least favorite mainline game: well, it was an equal fight between P5 and IS, but in the end the first one was saved by my sentiment to it (P5 was my first Persona game). It's not that I dislike either of them, they just didn't captivate me as much as the others and their respective casts are my least favorite.

Favorite credits song: uh oh, when it comes to mainline games my top3 credits songs are Memories of You, Never More & Brand New Days.

Favorite spin-off/etc song: hoo boy... Dance! from P4D is one of my comfort songs for sure and I love both Our Moment & Moonlight Serpendity from P3D, but NOW I KNOW from Arena is something else. 🥹 Break Out Of... (P4AU) is also one of my Persona faves, Deep Mentality & Backside Of The TV remixes from dancing games are cool too. And since it's category "spin-off/etc" lemme drop More Than One Heart & Fate Is In Our Hands from P3 movies and Beauty of Destiny from P4 anime. Also honorable mention for Breakin' Through & Found Me from Trinity Soul. Yeah, I know... and that's why I didn't write anything about favorite song overall xD I'm still surprised I was able to pick anything in other categories lol

Favorite opening movie: it was probably about mainline games, but P3D cinematic is too beautiful not to mention it. 🥺

Favorite ending: I picked FES, because as much as P3 ending is the most meaningful for me I think it's incomplete without The Answer. If there's no one to defend it I'm probably no longer in this world...

1. Who would win in a fight- Dr.Phil or Oprah

Yes Oprah is the obvious answer and you know what else? Gerard answered the same so you know I have to answer what he said

2. What is the significance of a piece of jewelry you own?

I have 3 that come to mind. One is a cool necklace that looks like tusks or teeth that my aunt bought for me from Mexico when I was about 13 years old. Then there’s a ring that has tiny green jewels or diamonds idk and it was given to me by my mom’s best friend who also happens to be my best friend’s mom. She bought it at a yardsale for hardly anything but I love it sooo much. And third is the Pirates of the Carribean medallion that my dad bought me at Disneyland

I would murder for Thrace/Modina and Amilia. I would love a sequel book that is just court intrigues with them. I don’t even need Royce and Hadrian in there just give me them with a confused Breckton in the background.

Three ships (assuming romantic): Madarcher/Curious Archer *both names are the same ship since they are widely used* (OUAT), Captain Swan (OUAT), and Lumity (The Owl House). Don’t know what these say about me but if this allowed five, I’d also put Snowing (OUAT) and Elizabeth X Meliodas (7 Deadly Sins).

Last song: Turn It Off by Paramore. Everything about this song is a bop to me.

Last movie: Blood Red Sky. Tbh, I’ve only gotten a quarter of the way in and I think the mother is a vampire. How the heck is she gonna get out of a hijacked plane alive with her son? It can only end in bloodshed I guess.

Currently reading: Titus Andronicus by Shakespeare. Technically it’s a re-read but I recommend it for the fun. Not for the faint of hearts if you can imagine the gore and are squeamish with blood. Somehow this felt like a treat rather than a horror to me. Yet, Harry Potter was too scary for me as a child...

Currently watching: Higurashi, the newest season. I love the change in POV but still hate the fingernail pulling scenes. The animators must have some strength or immunity to drawing those. I have closed my eyes since then unlike when the first season had it. Currently craving: Some really good fried chicken or poke. Don’t think I can get some easily where I have now moved, but a girl can dream. Is there a Popeyes near here? Fandoms: Where do I even start...I have written and published stuff before for Genshin Impact, My Hero Academia, Tower of God, Attack on Titan, Voltron: Legendary Defender, the Sonic the Hedgehog series (mostly in the era of yesteryear)...and yes, I’m listing off my AO3 list right now; I’ve also used the world of RWBY, the Warriors series (the books with the cats), and this one Vocaloid song (I really like doing crossovers like that). Where do you post: AO3. I have been in other places before that, like fanfiction.net and Wattpad....but that is an era come and gone and AO3′s a clear winner for me. Plus whatever I posted back then is probably pretty bad XD

Most popular multi-chapter fic: Angeli Quaeritus, if I’m ranking this by the AO3 kudos.

Most popular oneshot: We Promised We Would Be Together...which funny enough, has exactly the same amount of kudos as Angeli Quaeritus at the time of me writing this. I found it amusing that ol’ Angeli is also my longest continuous fic and this one’s about to surpass it at 4.8% of its size XD

Favorite story you’ve written so far: You...you ask me to pick my favorite child? Hard to say, but honestly, I might have to go with Vision Like a Faded Memory, which also happens to be my one true multi-chapter completed work (59k words). It was just...one of those things I got super into writing in the process of doing so, you know? Plus, completion makes the heart grow fonder lol. Besides that, A Day in the Life of Why Did I Take This Job was also a lot of fun to write and probably takes the place as my favorite short-story/two-shot, and Everything Good and Bright might have to be my favorite one-shot. That one just made me happy.

Fic you were nervous to post: Heh, if anything, probably also Vision like a Faded Memory, just because it was a mystery plot with sci-fi elements that weren’t immediately apparent. Doing a mystery, you have to make an ending that lives up to whatever expectations you build in the reader, and I guess I was afraid it would just...flop? Seem weird or just not that good? But, I’m still happy with it, I think. Didn’t receive many comments on the ending, but the ones I did get seemed to be happy with it, so...there’s that? Maybe some people thought it weird, but hey, as long as I can make a few people happy with my writing, I’m happy.

How do you choose your titles: Huh...that depends. Some titles, like the ones for one-shots, are of the more wack and oddly-descriptive-of-some-particular-thing-as-well-as-oddly-long variety, like A Day in the Life or How Not to Expel the Restless Spirit Plaguing Your School as a Result of Your Biology Teacher, which I just find fun. For other fics, I guess my goal is to have it be something meaningful if I could come up with anything like that, something relevant to the theme and/or some motif from the fic. Like how Everything Good and Bright is a Snow Queen parody focusing on the “looking at the good things in life” aspect of the story, or how Not By Blood was meant to be found-family-oriented. My favorite approach would be the double meaning, though...like how Angeli Quaeritus (Latin for “Looking for Angels”, for reasons) is this human experimentation story about people in a way making their own “angels,” but it also features all these sad teenagers kind of lost in the world and thus in need of an “angel”, so to speak. Plus it’s a song reference. I make quotes to the song.

Do you outline: Oh yeah. At least, for the big stuff, anyways. A lot of my shorter stories have no outline, and also, I’m not much of a detailed play-by-play kind of outliner. I just like to get an idea of what’s going on, what I want to happen, what the character’s stories and histories are, what’s the big picture. The more convoluted the plot, the bigger the “outline” (or is it more of a planning document?). Plot points and chapters are a thing, but I also got factions and timelines and random but important details to keep up with. There’s also research to keep up with, too. So yeah, my first story to really outline like that was Angeli Quaeritus, but I’m happy to say that more over-complicated plot bunnies have bounced around in my brain since then...

Complete: Not that many, if I’m just looking at AO3. Again, Vision Like a Faded Memory is the main one. I have several one-shots out there too, but if I were just to count the fics that are over 10k words, the others would be... How Not to Expel the Restless Spirit Plaguing Your School as a Result of Your Biology Teacher, A Day in the Life of Why Did I Take This Job, and Tower to Celestia.

Do you accept prompts: Yeah, sure thing! I haven’t ever done that before or anything, but I’d be open. I might not accept every prompt necessarily, but I’d consider them.

Upcoming story you’re most excited to write about: That’ll definitely have to be the next installments to my Haven’t Seen the Best of Me series, where A Day in the Life and How to Expel the Restless Spirit come from. I have so many notes on that one XD I’d so love to see it really come to fruition

6 Days ‘Til the Season 3 Premiere!

LESS THAN ONE WEEK, PEOPLE!!!

Next on my favorite moments countdown is:

“A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!”

I get so excited any time there’s a specific reference to how much time has passed or how old a character is or what time of year it is. XD Nice to know a year has gone by.

Also,

LENA MADE A CAKE AND SANG A SONG!!! She’s like trying to be a Disney princess to prove she’s good and it’s so sweet and kinda hilarious.

I am still not over this. XD

Dewey makes the best offended faces this season. XD

This, shortly after asking Fenton as soon as she met him if his suit has a toilet.

If you can’t say “toilet,” to your bestie, who can you say it to? (Fenton apparently. XD)

Look at these wee nerds agreeing and stuff!!!

I know I’m kinda going out of order here, but like... GAHHH I need them to be widdle bookworm fwens! :3 I hope their competition in the Season 3 premiere doesn’t sour their friendship.

The comedic timing in this show is just golden.

Also I loved Louie as a squishy cat. Huey: “How are you sleep-sleeping?” Louie: (in dream bubble) “I just am.” :3

And cue “Everybody Wants to be a Cat.”

I am still obsessed with this scene and if you’re not then you’re wrong. XD

And Dewey’s visceral offence when Huey offered him a pickle off the top shelf. XD Everyone else was like, “Uhhh sure, I guess...?” and Dewey was like, “NNNOOOOOO!” hahaha cracks me up!

Also, YAY PHOOEY!!!

In mustard yellow. Because he’s a mustard stain. XD I feel like if there were a Phooey he’d be an artistic skater boy type. Like, he’d love graffiti as an art form but would never go tagging because he’s a good boy and also doesn’t wanna be banned from the skate park. And he’d have a sketch book and a skate board. I dunno. Just AU headcanons. Also I wanna cut his bangs so bad. Baby, how can you see???

Anway, Scrooge yelling through the door telling the kids to go get some jobs when it wasn’t even 6am yet... pffft. XD

And then Dewey being a little Donald.

And then the most important scene of the episode:

It’s so hard when your parent, especially the maternal figure for girls or the paternal figure for boys, was abusive, and you feel like you’re slowly going to turn into them. Lena’s self-aware enough to realize the only example she’s had isn’t a very good one, and that was probably exacerbated by moving in with Violet and seeing what loving parents are like.

Not that it was a bad move for her, but like... when you have an abusive parent, you know there’s something that isn’t right. And sometimes you make excuses or you blame yourself or whatever you have to do to survive, but once you get some distance between yourself and them, and make a friend from a kinder family and meet their parents, it’s like... “Holy crud, my upbringing was messed up.” The comparisons can really mess with your head.

You admire the warm, nurturing traits you see in other people’s parents, and you realize what was lacking in your own, and you start to find those negative traits in yourself because that’s all you were taught how to be, and you freak out like “Oh shoot, I can’t break this generational sin.” It’s... heavy. And so real. And I love that DuckTales is dealing with that.

This was such an important step for Lena. It’s an important step in any victim of abuse. Realizing that you’re not dependent on your abuser, but that your abuser was manipulating you to think you need them, and refusing to let that continue, is super important in the healing journey.

Tricky thing about healing, though... especially when you’re still a kid... sometimes healing is a bit of a cycle. Sometimes it’s two steps forward and one step back, and then other times it’s one step forward and two steps back. And sometimes it feels like it won’t end, but then one day you realize you’re in a much better place. The pain is mostly or completely gone, everything literally looks more colorful, and you’re happier. And you can’t pinpoint exactly how you got there, but you always remember that realization.

But it does take some time, and there’ll be a lot more to Lena’s journey.

2020 Fic Year in Review

I was tagged by @oh-i-swear-writes and I swear to GOD someone else tagged me in this too but I can’t for the life of me find them in my mentions tab. So to which ever mutual also tagged me, thank you and I love you.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected?

Seeing as how I only had one ao3 published work out from over a year ago (at the time I started) I did not at all expect to post than maybe one story at best. I used to go in writing phases with long periods of not writing, so this has been a 10+ month writing streak for me! Having a community of other writers to bounce ideas off of and motivate me to write helped SO MUCH. I would not have written 100k in total if not for my friends and mutuals.

What’s your own favourite story of the year?

Forever will always be my baby. Hands down my favorite work I’ve done this year.

Did you take any writing risks this year?

I think all of it really. Many of my stories were me pushing outside of what I thought would be received well since I wrote a lot of dark fics and some kinks I had never touched before. It taught me a lot about not only myself but what other people are willing to read and that if I think it could be good, it probably will have a fan out there.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?

More collabs! I love collaborating with other writers. In general though, I would love to write another (more solid) 100k, most of all I’d like to have that 100k be all published work! My goal of making longer, higher word count stories also goes with this!
