#the last story had the villain accidentally kill himself#this one is willing to end with Sir Champion stabbing the villain with a sword through his chest#complete with a little bit of drawn blood#also the scene where Camilla holds up a knife and declares that she’s going to kill herself to prevent the villain from using her in a plot#is surprisingly intense for this story#obviously the actual attempt has to happen in the time in between panels and is then referenced in the caption box#‘but the dagger fails to injure Camilla’#I also want to note that I’m actually really charmed by Camilla and Sir Champion’s relationship at this point#I think that the backstory of how their relationship first formed is helping me connect to the characters#even though it’s not being referenced in the stories#cause it gives me something to read into about with their interactions#like Sir Champion’s commitment to Camilla doesn’t read flatly because I know what she did to change his life#also that bit at the beginning where they are walking through the gardens together and Camilla says she’s cold and asks him to get her wrap#is cute to me#fiction house#camilla queen of the lost empire#my posts#comic panels
