i am a 25 year old artist and cosplayer from england! i've been drawing ever since i learnt how to walk and i was always very fond of dressing up in costumes as i was growing up, but i officially got into cosplaying and attending conventions in 2009. i have worked at conventions a few times as a sales assistant, but i have always really wanted to start tabling at cons with my own art and handmade accessories someday! at the moment i make art prints, stickers, badges, and accessories and jewellery with pony beads, but i would love to branch out in future and make even more things with other materials and methods. i'm super into fashion, particularly styles such as y2k futurism and decora to name a few, and prefer to create casual cosplay looks for characters rather than fully cosplay nowadays (then i can represent my favourite characters on an almost daily basis instead of only wearing a costume to events a couple times a year heheee)

i'm also a lifelong gamer and collector! the first game i ever played was the original sonic the hedgehog on the mega drive back when i was a microbe of a child... i still have the covers from my old sonic 1 and 2 mega drive copies! ever since then i've been super obsessed with sonic and many other sega titles, particularly nights, space channel 5 and samba de amigo. other than sega IPs, i really love third person action games, social mmos/mmorpgs, rhythm and arcade games. i'm especially drawn to games that have character customisation.

i love to collect merch of all my favourite things, both official and fan made! i'm always hunting for merch new and old that i do not own yet, and i love to support other artists and small businesses by buying fan merch or commissions! ✧･:₊·

lastly, i am a huge fan of vocal synths! discovering vocaloid and hatsune miku back in 2007 rewired my brain permanently, which led me to create my own mikumikudance and figma stop motion videos; and then my own utau in 2010 named bobbi navine! they are one of my many many many ocs. also despite mostly owning several pieces of merch of miku, my actual favourite vocaloid is sf-a2 miki LOL

as for my future on tumblr and dreamwidth, i would like to somewhat consistently post updates about things! (<- very forgetful) i hope to at least post some art and craft updates when i have something new finished and ready to post, some fashion things, travel diaries and vlogs, and a lot of gushing about my ocs and all time favourite franchises and media. i would actually really love to use these sites as some sort of an archive for my merch collections? just a bit of everything and anything to look back on in the future someday, and for anyone else who stumbles across my blogs ( ´ ω ` )... given that these websites don't ever go down or anything and lose everything to the void, since we all know how much of a nightmare internet archiving has been lately LMAOOOO,, i also really want to customise my dreamwidth blog's layout and make it look nice eventually too :D i know i have a lot of ideas constantly bouncing around in my skull i have issues and problems

Chaotic Minecraft mobs LETS GOOOOOOO

Heck yea! They were so much fun to design!

I still need to make the Creeper and Blaze a bit more unique (making the Blaze have a "hairstyle" with their rods as well as give a unique marking to the Creeper's face/bark), since the Enderman has been unique-ified by having their arm gone.

Enderman is named Yami (with a nickname Yamimi thanks to Miku), so now just need to think of names for the Creeper and Blaze!

I'm gonna go for a like... rustic vibe for the Creeper I think? I don't know why I'm thinking of some kind of western cowboy name for them. Either that or some scientific name related to oak trees (or even calling them Acorn or something lol).

For the Blaze I have no idea. Kinda tempted to mash a bunch of fire related names together for them, name them Soot, or something like that. I don't have much direction with the Blaze when it comes to names (but personality I have a pretty good idea so far).

Also probably best to say, these are given names to the mobs, they have their own like mob names that are probably difficult to pronounce in a human language.

I think this is actually something that is true for almost all of the glitches, curses, vocaloids, mobs, etc. Do I know these true names? No. Will I make some up at some point. Probably?

Anyway, glad you like my chaotic mobs! I had fun making them! Definitely gonna have to do the rest (or at the very least the major bosses as well as the Warden).

Anime recommendation: Pretty Boy Detective Club

Alright friends this anime is super adorable and very interesting. It has a ouran high school host club vibe because the main character Mayumi is a girl dressed as a boy. In the anime we follow the boys tackle a couple of different cases. The first is our main characters which is to help her look for a star which seems simple at first but then ends up with 3 of them being kidnapped by a group of hitmen. Lol.

The first episode is a little slow and at first I didn't think I'd like some of the boys but they all end up growing on me by episode 3. Which is nice. Our main character also has super vision. Which is a plot point of course. As far as characteristics go she's very cynical and sassy, like haruhi. The boys even call her a little scummy at times but all around she's a good and honest main character.

The main boy Manabu is actually younger than the rest of them even though he's the leader. He's very cute and positive. He just wants to have fun and look pretty while doing it which i can respect. He's really good at motivating and bringing the team together.

Next up is Michiru aka Mr. Delinquent as deemed by our main character is a personal favorite of mine. He is probably the most serious and down to earth of the group and develops a special relationship with Mayu pretty quickly with both of them constantly teasing each other. He's also especially overprotective of her. There's been hints of a darker backstory regarding him. Special skills include cooking.

Next we have sousaku nicknamed Mr. Genius and who has the next closest relation ship with her. While just a little more subtle. Ever since Mayu started cross dressing for the club hes the one who does her make up and attire. Hes an artist and also heir to a big company. While a mostly silent character he does speak from time to time. Special skills include art.

Next up is Hyouta who mayu calls bare legs because he's always wearing shorts and he is the second youngest of the group after leader. He very athletic and very funny. He's very confident and spends most of his time showing off and talking about his legs. Special skills are tap dancing.

Last but not least is our oldest boy nagahiro nicknamed Mr. Senpai. He's the most mature and the most popular because he's the student council president. He had a running joke where the rest of the club calls him a lolicon because of his arranged marriage to a first grader. He is however not a lolicon his parents arranged the marriage. It does make for a funny joke. Special skills include voice mimicking.

Welp those are our boys!!! All of them are very unique and beautiful.

The anime is overall pretty funny and sweet. Mixed into that is a few serious moments especially towards the end. All the characters however come together pretty well as a team and a family which I love.

Also when Manabu cross dresses he looks like Hatsune Miku and I just find that to be really funny.

Over all score 8/10 would recommend!!!

Just watched Vivy: Fluorite’s Eyes Song

I will say "vocaloid" and "terminator" a lot bear with me.

To prevent a big war between mankind and AI in 100 years, a songstress AI called Diva, nicknamed Vivy, has to go on a mission spanning the whole century to avert the key tragedies triggering the war.

It's like if Vocaloid in Idol AU mixes with Terminator. Like damn the whole premise sounds like a plot of a Vocaloid hit series.

I mean look at Diva. She's got teal hair like Hatsune fucking Miku.

Ok but seriously. Diva, a songstress AI, is the first autonomous humanoid AI to be built. It means that the first thing mankind does when they can make a humanoid AI is to make a vocaloid. Sounds about right.

The plot of a robotic girl trying to understand the concept of heart really reminds me of Violet Evergarden. Except Violet is actually human, arms notwithstanding.

Seeing from the future footage in EP1, it looks like a debate whether AI has a heart or not, since it looks like every AI has gone very robotically murderous. And then the same episode and everything else afterward show that it's not the case. It's pretty clear that they do, even if they don't really get it, the real question is how to coexist.

I like that even though there are key events that trigger the bad future, they are separated by several years' gap. By several, I mean it could even be decades. The entire thing inot a single red button.

The time skips are apparent. I love the details of technology marching on, more humanoid AIs, and even the advancement of Vivy's career. It is very convincing as a decades-long time skip.

Also there are art shift where the characters (usually the AIs get this treatment) are drawn in a realistic style. The shift really emphasizes the mood.

I wasn't planning to, but that realistic artstyle is really so pretty (alongside the amazing story and animation) that I decided to make #vivyedit

Shout out to Jun Fukuyama as Matsumoto. Definitely the star of the show, besides Vivy herself. Like lol, he's just a cube but a very lively and full of personality one. I guess he's a... chatterBOX.

My favorite is the Metal Float arc. I didn't think I'd cry, and then tears ran down my face.

Is this what WIT Studio was busy with that they gave Attack on Titan Final Season to MAPPA? Oh, have I mentioned Vivy is from WIT Studio? Now I have. Now you get it's pretty much high quality. The fight scenes are awesome with cool choreography.

It can get quite bloody too, most prominent in the bad future scene. Robots gone haywire and annihilating humans have never been this scary for me. Something about the atmosphere is just really creepy. I think it's less about the blood splatter and more about the sound effect. Idk, I just feel like that’s the case.

Since it's a story centered around singing AIs, there are also amazing OSTs and insert songs by the voice actors. For me personally, the winner is Sing Your Pleasure (Grace version).

And I like that they dare to cut the insert song in the middle to fit in the story because, well, the singer dies mid-song. Nice touch.

In commemoration of final episode, it ends beautifully. It feels earned. Definitely doesn’t let all that hype die.

aesthetic:   i was very into the ocean/nautical aesthetic until abt 2015, then i was SUPER into forest/cottage in the woods aesthetic (and still am), i guess today would fall under “cottage core” but i have some arguments about that. [I could probably write an entire essay on this but this is the extremely cut down version: From what i perceive from the main apps i use, instagram, youtube and tiktok, it seems like there was a huge rise in popularity in cottage core aesthetic starting about Dec 2019. My main problem is, my own definition of what cottage core matched with what i saw online up until this big boom of cottagecore, and now it seems like what i think is *not* cottagecore is being called cottage core. But with something as conceptual and subjective as an aesthetic, it is really defined person to person, based on everyones own opinions and experiences and way of categorizing things. Plus language is defined by its speakers, so technically, the general definition of cottage core will always be whatever the majority of people define it as, at the time of definition. What i think happened is, when it got really popular, the range of what “fits” into cottage core widened alot, so while my aesthetic still falls under cottage core, it may fit better in a subcategory (a recent necessity) or entirely differently named aesthetic. Either that, or it was never cottagecore in the first place. again this is based on the content i see from the couple apps i primarily use, which is really only a sliver of all the cottagecore content there is]. My other aesthetic is dirty feral subway rat eating pizza under an incoming train and chainlink fence at 5pm in october No i will not elaborate.

The Mega Project?

Well... it was going to be a visual novel concept.

But since I have no skill in making a VN, I’m just going to write a story. Like the anime that will be based off the VN. Like Clannad’s anime or something.

It’s going to be long since I have (ahem) FOURTY-SIX (46) WHOLE CHARACTERS WITH ROUTES THAT I’M GOING TO INCORPORATE.

This is why I said I will never ever finish it, even if I devote my entire life to it.

But it won’t feel right without all these characters. I WANT to have all these characters. I’m a “go big or go home” person. I’m too ambitious and I know that.

So.

She will be the one with the (gigantic) “harem” around her. Think, Tomoya from Clannad. But IF there’s ever an actual game, I’ll plan on Uta being one of the date-able characters. She’ll be your childhood friend.

The characters are all college students here. They are all college-age, roughly between 18-26, depending on which character. I may give them specific ages eventually.

Here are descriptions I thought of already. For some of these Loids, this is my first time EVER writing or portraying them. Ever.

(Full names are listed in Western order. This is partly due to the story taking place in the USA, in a “Japantown” sort of place to explain the prominent Japanese population.)

Haku Yowane- A shy, gloomy girl who is looking to join in the school’s choir... However, the choir doesn’t have enough members. And it’s not like Haku is a good enough singer to singlehandedly bring it back to life... or confident to work up the courage to even audition. Haku seems to depend on Neru, her only friend, to comfort her when she gets down. Haku is the cousin of the popular Miku Hatsune, the most popular girl in the school and star singer in the choir. Neru Akita- A tomboy with a hot temper. But inside, she hides delicate feelings. She seems to always be with Haku, cheering her up when she gets down. The two seem to only have each other. Miku Hatsune- A very popular girl and star singer in the choir. A bubbly, cheerful sweetheart. Has lots of friends and is always smiling. Idealistic and doesn’t believe in impossible. Miku dreams big, but apparently she gets very depressed when her dreams are crushed. Luckily that never seems to happen... for now. Luka Megurine- A polite and elegant woman. She can appear aloof and intimidating at first, but is actually just shy. She is half Japanese, a quarter French, and a quarter German. Teto Kasane- A bubbly girl who can be childish. Is playful, weird, and a bit demanding. Very clumsy. Gumi- A girl who can be a bit shy, but once you get past that, Gumi is unique, free-spirited, and chill. She likes art and reading books. She keeps a sketchbook with her at all times. Meiko Sakine- The confident, mature woman of the group. Energetic and loves to party. Still responsible. Like a mother or older sister. Has quite a temper, though she mostly uses it to defend others... Lapis Aoki- Merli’s stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. Bubbly and playful, and quite childish. Quite friendly. However, she can be a bit selfish at times. Lapis is Japanese, though her adoptive sister Merli is Indian. Merli Aoki- Lapis’ stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. She can seem cold and distant, even a bit harsh at first. But inside, she is very thoughtful and willing to help those important to her. Merli is Indian, though she was adopted into Lapis’ Japanese family after the death of her parents. Lily- The school’s toughest female delinquent. IA- An idolized girl in the school for her good looks and singing skills. However, she hides dark feelings? Yukari Yuzuki- Half sister to Akari Kizuna. Looks up to IA but also feels she will never be as good as her. Uta Utane- A rather plain, bluntly-spoken person who doesn’t see much in life. Usually bored, silent, and rather deadpan. Once a bright girl with lots of dreams. Deep inside, she is passionate and caring, really... Can it be restored? She is non-binary, going mostly by she/her. Miku Zatsune- Edgy and hates Miku. She would rather be called Zatsune, because her first name happens to be Miku, like the person she despises so much... But could there be something deeper to her? Rin Kagamine- Rin is a bit chaotic. She is bold, brash, athletic, and charming. She is also just plain nuts. Len Kagamine- Len fries to be cool and hip, but he is just a big dork. He is quite the comedian however, sometimes unintentionally. Kaito Shion- Kaito is a silly boy. He loves ice cream, unicorns, rainbows, and anything fluffy. But he also has moments of seriousness where he says really deep, philosophical things. He is quite romantic. Akaito Shion- Akaito is a sarcastic and grumpy boy, but when it comes to romance, he gets quite passionate. He sometimes flirts around with girls, but when he finally finds a true love with a girl (or guy) who truly changes his life... well... it’s a bit different. Dell Honne- Dell is usually in a bad mood. He currently lives with a father who barely acknowledges him. He tends to keep it all inside, and he’s really just lonely and needs to find someone to vent to. He enjoys computer programming and composing electronic music. He is Haku’s half-brother, but they didn’t grow up together. Gakupo Kamui- Gakupo likes doing kendo and martial arts, and is generally athletic. He is a nice guy who also loves animals and history. He seems serious, but can be unexpectedly silly sometimes. He likes embracing his Japanese and Ainu heritage. Yuuma- Yuuma likes music and is quite popular. He may seem hard to approach, because sometimes he doesn’t know what to say. He is a little blunt at times, but has a good heart. He has a crush on Mizuki. Piko Utatane- Piko is a genius who loves astronomy and excels in mathematics and physics. He is a shy and compassionate person, but whenever he opens his mouth, he sounds very strict. He is bad at socializing and making friends, which leaves him quite lonely. On top of that, he is sickly and absent from school often. Piko wishes to make a friend. His first friend in the school is Lapis Aoki, who pretends to be a fairy to grant his wish. After a while, Lapis declares that she wants to be Piko’s friend. Mizuki- Mizuki is a singer who also plays the a Japanese harp (koto.) She is quite a charming person and seems to flirt with many people... even girls... but not Yuuma. Since Yuuma has a crush on Mizuki, this discourages him. Nigaito Shion- The youngest of the three Shion bothers. Nigaito’s nicknames are Nini and Nii. He is rather sickly, but remains to have a warm and pure heart. Dex- Daina’s childhood friend. Best friends, even though they are of completely different genders, and with very different personalities. Some people wonder how it works. Dex is silly, fun, a bit of a party animal, but he is still very caring and compassionate. He just needs a bit of help devoting himself to his studies. But he is quite intelligent when he is focused. He is Black, Creole, and is learning French. Daina- Dex’s childhood friend. Best friends, even though they are of completely different genders, and with very different personalities. Some people wonder how it works. Daina likes to study and learn, and doesn’t like atmospheres like parties so much. She prefers quiet, peaceful places. She may seem a bit distant on the outside, but she is just a little shy. She is White, with English and French heritage. Ruby- Ruby is rather confident, yet nice, and will always give people a helping hand. She is Black and Latina. Taya Soune- Taya is incredibly polite, bowing at many occasions and also offering to do favors a lot. He speaks very formally. He is non-binary, but go mostly by he/him. Longya Yuezheng- A quite serious man who is dutiful and studious. Protective over his younger sister, Ling, and monitors her safety constantly. This is due to Ling nearly getting into a tragic accident when they were younger, traumatizing Longya. He is Chinese. Ling Yuezheng- Ling is a hardworking student, however she has a playful side and she feels lonely that she doesn’t have many friends and is devoting her life to studying. Momo Momone- A peaceful, sleepy girl. Rather low-energy and tranquil. However, Momo has quite a temper when it comes to injustice. SeeU- A rather eccentric, bold and energetic girl with “the light of the stars in her eyes.” She is Korean. Ruko Yokune- Ruko is one of the most mature characters, having a lot of wisdom about life and many experiences. However, they still have moments where they need a helping hand. Ruko is non-binary, mostly going by she/her or they/them. Ritsu Namine- Ritsu is rather brash, but means well. He is non-binary and mostly go by he/him. Miki- Loves romance anime/manga and is obsessed with “cute couples.” A true fangirl. Acts cute and animated. Iroha’s best friend. Aku Yamine- Hates her name, because it’s pronounced the same as the word for “evil” in Japanese. Prefers to be called Akurin. Aku is a very nice and naive, somewhat clumsy girl with big dreams. Is half Black and half Japanese. Bruno- Black Latino, lived in the Dominican Republic. Polite and soft-spoken, but a talented guitarist. Clara- From Colombia, and is Latina. A rather doting girl who somehow feels like both a mother and a little sister. Iroha Nekomura- Loves cute things and stuffed animals. Is kind of insecure and doesn’t find herself very cute, though her best friend Miki constantly reassures her. Yuu- A sweet, cheerful guy who is always filled with energy. Half English, half Japanese. He is in a band with Wil and Kyo called ZOLA PROJECT. Wil- A sophisticated, fashionable guy who is quite outgoing. He is Black. He is in a band with Yuu and Kyo called ZOLA PROJECT. Kyo- A wild, energetic guy who is always raring to go. He is Japanese. He is in a band with Yuu and Wil called ZOLA PROJECT. Akari Kizuna- Yukari Yuzuki’s half-sister. Cheerful and sweet, and wants to make others smile... even though many heavy thoughts are hiding behind her own smile. Qingxian Mo- She seems very nice, but she’s actually a bit self-absorbed. Since her name is hard to pronounce for English-speakers, she insists on being called Qing (pronounced like Ching.)

Favorite Artists: Imogen Heap! Aw man, she’s a genius. She composes, mixes, writes the lyrics, ugh, she’s amazing. I adore her wordplay. She paints such vivid pictures with her lyrics and she’s such an inspiration to my work. 

I also am really into Vocaloid. Again, I love the things that people can create using the software. It’s such a beautiful storytelling medium and I love that robotic sound. It has such a creative fanbase. My favorite Vocaloids are Zola Project (I love all three of them, especially their harmonies together), Meiko, Mayu (I like her voice, not a fan of Yandere. I love the rare non-yandere songs using her.) and Nekomura Iroha. 

My favorite producers are Oddeo, Ryuuru, Shu-t, Seiko-P, TKN, Kyaami and Strovi. I’ve been really jiving to Hachioji-P and 23.exe lately, too.

Last Movie I Saw: I’ve been rewatching my favorite film “Castle In the Sky” lately. It’s been a great comfort as of late.

Reason for URL: Dandelions are a very important symbol for me. Where I live, there is a little children’s myth, that, like a birthday candle, when you blow the seeds and make a wish it will come true. Well, if you think about it each seed grows another dandelion, which makes even more seeds, which means more wishes. 

Such as it is when people create. People become inspired, and they create art. That art inspires others, and they create, inspiring even more people. 

For me, Dandelions are a symbol of inspiration, creation, and art. And I love that. I hope that someday my work will be something that inspires others in a positive way.

Favorite Food: I used to answer this with Velveeta mac and cheese, but over the last year or two I’ve been doing a complete diet overhaul to try to eat more healthy, so it’s been quite awhile since I’ve eaten it. 

I really enjoy all the foods that I eat now, so it’s hard to choose, but I guess my recipe for Sauteed carrots! Either that or Strawberry Peach Smoothies. 

No-bake cookies are my favorite dessert! But that’s a sometimes food lol.

i don't know if i ever mentioned his age? he's 15!

also, he’s mexican!

he has a black cat!! her name's kuro because...y'know. she's a black cat. pluto's a simple guy, alright? lol

he absolutely loves music! he likes most songs/genres, but he really enjoys vocaloid and cutesy songs (though he won't ever admit it).

a couple of his favorite songs are shama by niru kajitsu (miy_yuu's cover to be specific!) and otsukimi recital by jin.

also he knows every single lyric of renai circulation.

he has terrible posture. please help this boy. he's already 5'3". save his soul. (he's the shortest one in the main 4 ahaaa)

he supresses his emotions a lot of the time, even happiness. he doesn't wanna deal with any of that, no sir.

he's good at staying quiet. like, it's almost scary how silent he can walk across floors.

(he's spooked koko about a million times because of this. at first it was unintentional, but now pluto has some fun with it.)

he types pretty normally when it comes to texting, like;

he's half indian and half filipino, which explains his last name (castillo-madan)!

anyways. in canon, he chose koko as a nickname instead of niko (though he'll def accept that nickname too) because it was a nickname that navya called him as a kid, and he just vibes with it.

(also, he wanted to avoid as many nico nico nii jokes as he can)

he watches a lot of anime! he's the reason why pluto got into vocaloid, too. he stans miku and also momo kisaragi. what a king.

he LOOOOVES the movie kimi no na wa/your name. zen zen zense is one of his favorite songs, like, ever.

his fav anime (animes?? i never know which one's right...) are mob psycho 100 and march comes in like a lion.\

he's loud and energetic and tries his best to cheer people up!! he also has owo bracelets, because he's just Like That.

Ok ok so,, Kiki (light blue)!!! She/they but generally doesn't really care lol!! She's Korean :DDD so Kiki's just a nickname lol (I have a few tabs open for what I want her legal name to be but I still have not decided)

So like,, her mom is like really into their culture and like,, as a child she would often wear hanboks, eat the traditional food, etc etc so now she has a bigger appreciation more than others towards different cultures and such. Including cultural arts

Speaking of which, painting is a hobby of hers!!! Their heart belongs in photography but they still enjoy painting from time to time :]]]]

Almost did but has never drank the paint water (mostly because the thought makes me wriggle in agony/lh)

Has a little sister!! Might just make them super close cousins instead but uh!! She/they, might change as the lil sister character develops more. The more impulsive and reckless of the two :]]]]

Where Kiki's the more calm, mature, neutral-faced light blue softie, her lil sis is the chaotic, impulsive and reckless dark blue gremlin.

Kiki's usual hair style is the stereotypical Japanese cut bangs (I know you know what I'm talking about) and hatsune miku pigtails(?? Is that what they're called??) and her lil sis has a similar cut bang and the a similar hair to that one prebby main character lady in squid game whose name I forgot but like,, messier yk. Both still have their natural black hair!!!

So because Kiki's in college I might make her lil sis still be like in high school. Gotta have someone be company for their mom yk. THEIR MOM IS SO SWEET!!! SWEET OL' TRADITIONAL LADY!!!! Almost acts like a grandma but in a good way yk. Also, traditional but respecting of new things like gay people existing(/lh)

Kiki has roommates!!! Fae she/they mirror pronouns (havent decided her name yet so I've been calling her Fae but it kinda stuck lol), and Hyacinthus they/any (Hys for short!!!)
