I want an ACOTAR show... But then it gets cancelled after season 1. Rhys is seen as a SAer, Tamlin takes Feyre to the Spring Court and they live happily ever after, no character assassination of our beastie boy, no glorifying the abusers and manipulators. Everyone's happy and at peace.

I'm also in the minority of wanting an acotar show, but only because I want to see the horror on people's faces who don't read the books that all these posts that mainly women make about their favorite book boyfriend is about someone who drugged and sa'd the love of his life, if of course the TV show even has the utm feysand elements in it.

It also would be funny if normal people pointed out all the retcons that will occur of tamlin's character if there will be a season 2

But what I would be most excited for is their reaction to the court of nightmare, where the show will tell them that all people are evil and needed to be trapped in there while simultaneously telling us how the women are abused and the Illyrian who are portrayed as brown people, whose only characteristic is being savages and violent, also abuse their women. Imagine how hardcore book fans are trying to justify it to the non-book viewers lmao

My guess is that season 1 would be successful only because all book fans and casual watchers who like fantasy are interested in it, but after season 2 the show would be cancelled due to season 1  probably already being low budget ( I don't know anything about Hulu, but I never seen a high budget fantasy series from them), but especially because season 2 will have so many problems with plot, world building, and problematic topics that people won't be watching anymore and give one star reviews because the show will be riverdale 2.0 but just with pointy ears and wings.
