another thing about the sin/darkmoon thing in ds1 is that, iirc, you can accumulate sin by breaking the terms of your covenant/switching without properly leaving your old one, even if it’s an objectively Evil covenant like the darkwraiths. suggesting that velka/gwyndolin place just as much importance on oaths and honesty as they do on moral "good”, which feels very fitting for the twins to me
