Hi i just wanted to say I love your art so so much, I came here from your wigfrid/dst era and I’ve always loved your art. Do you think you could tell me what’s up with the black white and purple cult guys?

to put it VERY SIMPLY because if we don't i'll be yapping all day, the 'black and white and purple cult guys' are from a game called Worship!!! it's not out yet, but i backed it on kickstarter, and currently you can check out the demo on steam (you should do it it's super fun yuaaay yaaaay)

from a gameplay standpoint, worship is a rougelite survival game similar to a cross between don't starve and pikmin, where your most lucrative resources are the followers you amass. wielding your army of zealots, you have to fight against opposing factions in order to satisfy your god, summoning them into your realm

i've made separate posts about each of the game's five factions (Heretics, the Last Church, the Coven, the Untamed, and Unspeakable Horrors) as well as a master post going into a bit more detail about each of the gods and their differences from each other.

if you want more information on how worship works from a gameplay perspective, the devs released a miniature guide on the gameplay loop that i reposted (with their permission 💕✨) here.

beyond that, a whole bunch of information can be found on their kickstarter, which receives updates once a month! i also have a google doc i've been working on that summarizes and gives quick links to every update, in case you just want to skim it.

BUT. if you want something a bit more familiar. we are in the process of building our wiki with the information that we've received from the alpha, beta, and public demo. we're very proud of it, and it isn't even on fandom so it isn't annoying as fuck to browse through
