I like Sleepless Domain. What's this about a harrassment campaign. Gonna need links.
uhhhh what? I think someone mentioned that L*lith Fa*ren (an infamous PMMM hater) also really hates Sleepless Domain on my blog but that was at least a year ago. I'm not really sure why this is coming up now lmao

April 17th-April 23rd, 2019 Reader Favorites Archive
The archive for the Reader Favorites chat that occurred from April 17th, 2019 to April 23rd, 2019.  The chat focused on the following question:
From any webcomic, which character made you want to grow as a person?  Describe why you felt this way.
Capitania do Azar
I think I was doing comics randomly on DeviantArt around 2007, like... Just random pages without much of a plot. Then a friend of mine was like Hey I make a webcomic at www.ginpu.us, would you like to make one too? And she offered hosting and helped me out with all the tech side of the thing and I'm still at the vote of confidence

Are we talking about REAL people who made us want to grow as people, or webcomic characters?
RebelVampire
webcomic characters but if you want to answer with real ppl if its webcomic related i wont stop you
Delphina
Ahh, okay!

im gonna be a bit cheaty and pick Zeynel from The Carpet Merchant of Konstantiniyya https://reimenayee.com/the-carpet-merchant-of-konstantiniyya/. I am a big believer in forgiveness, but at the same time i acknowledge that as a human, we arent always the most forgiving. we hold grudges, remain bitter, etc. etc. and forgivness is hard, especially when others hurt us. But then Zeynel comes along and just bam, does it. He missteps of course, but he always comes to the point of forgiveness after the missteps. And to me that is a wonderful and something I'd really like to aspire for. There's also the fact that Zeynel showcases the power of trying out new things and really putting yourself out there. And as a socially awkward person, those are things I'd love to do but get too scared to do. And seeing a character I indentify with a lot really raises my spirits a bit and makes me reassess why scary things are sometimes good.

I could mention a few. I know I keep talking about Spaceboy—but the protagonist Amy is remarkably good at staying calm in horrible situations, or at least, she’s learned to be. But it’s not in a “I’ll just tough it out” way, she has to sort through her feelings and memories and then let them all go. And she lets herself cry if she needs to but she knows how to get back up. Hizruk, the Protagonist of Serpents of Old, is kind of an angsty Teen who basically is learning that he has a powerful influence on the people of his village, and that he can use this for good—he has a voice that will be heard. He’s basically learning to stand out, or rather, stand up for something. Also he risked his life to save an already dying man from a cruel death, and for a woman who gave him no thanks and even called him a monster in return. #lifegoals man. http://serpentsofold.thecomicseries.com/
Basically these inspire me to use the influence I already have for good, and shows me a way to be truly strong in hard times
@RebelVampire Scary things can be really good—I’ve been learning to put myself out there a lot. And forgiveness is like my favourite trope if done well

I've been emoting real hard with Tessa from Sleepless Domain (http://www.sleeplessdomain.com/) with the most recent chapter. I've also gone through periods where it's hard to recognize my feelings, reach out and ask for help when I'm going through something painful, and instead just let myself feel left out and rejected because I feel like other people are too busy for me/I don't want to spoil their happiness. But as I'm reading what's going on and yelling at my computer screen that she needs to TALK TO SOMEBODY, a voice in me is like "yeah okay uhhhh about that exact thing!" I love and learn a lot from the other characters too, especially for the positive ways they deal with all their problems, but Tessa's a really interesting negative example that's striking me at the moment.
