GUYS THE REASON LOKI TIME SLIPS AGAIN IN EPISODE 5 IS BECAUSE HE DOESN'T BELONG ANYWHERE AND I'M GOING TO SOB.

We learn later from He Who Remains (and hear at the very start) that when the loom fails, it and the TVA go into a fail safe. Everything is pruned automatically, including the TVA. And so everyone HWR took from the sacred timeline is sent back. But Loki wasn't taken from the sacred timeline. And unlike Timely, Loki's timeline was pruned. So he has nowhere to go.

He's just floating through time, and the only remaining link to somewhere he belongs is his friends. I don't know exactly how this fail safe works, obviously, but there's a chance that it somehow detected that Loki felt belonging when he was with his friends. And because his friends are scattered all over time and space, so is he.

He loves his friends so much I'm gonna cry oh my goodness!!!!
