hi! usually scared to send asks to people but i would like to hear your connor headcanons because i want to know the lore behind all of your extremely pretty connor drawings

HII omg dont be !! pls feel free to send stuff whenever !! ok so i have TONS of connor hc’s ( i’ve been writing as him & for him for years now ) but here’s my faves + the ones that are usually present in my art . ( gotta mention that some are very personal & self indulgent bc i see myself in connor a LOT 😭 ) tw for a quick mention of razors .

- i made a post abt this hc here but i’m adding it because it’s the main reason why i use a certain color for connor’s hair , & that is that connor is a ginger ( just like zoe & cynthia ) & he dyes his hair a darker color so he doesn’t look much like them ( & he doesn’t get associated with zoe much at school ) he usually uses a dark brown or even black , but it’s usually very sloppy so his hair ends up being patchy in some areas or just not dark enough .

- connor uses he / they pronouns mostly bc they’re very detached to his gender identity because they don’t feel human most of the time . connor looks in the mirror & doesn’t think ‘ boy ‘ , most of the time he thinks ‘ failure ‘ , ‘ disappointment ‘ , ‘ monster ‘ . he’s also unlabeled & mostly finds male presenting ppl attractive but has been with female presenting ppl a few times . ( i’ll mostly use he / him in tags but in my writing i will use both set of pronouns ! )

- ik freckles have been a recurring headcanon for connor throughout the years in the fandom but i wanna add it too bc his freckles mean so much to me . a connor without freckles is like an angel without its wings likeee ! ( i usually add freckles to charas that i like tho ) they are usually more present over his cheeks , shoulders & chest . some on his hands & thighs too . for a while , connor fucking HATED them , & i once wrote a lil thing where he even tried to remove a particularly big one near his lip w a razor . ( i add it to my drawings a lot , if you check it’s above the right ( his left ) corner of his lip )

- his hair length varies a lot in my stuff bc i’ll sometimes get carried away & make it longer for aesthetic or composition purposes , but i do believe connor would def let it get longer than shoulder length ( not small of his back like in some of my stuff , but definitely to half of his chest maybe ? ) larry def gives him shit abt it & only encourages him to keep it longer & longer .

- this is also a recurring hc but imma mention it too & that’s eyeliner . & tons of it . i’ll sometimes make it smudged bc connor will prob cry & it’ll run . once he’s done he’ll just apply more over it . & black nail polish too ofc .

- I LOVEEEE music headcanons for connor & here’s my faves ( keep in mind my connor is mostly set in the 90’s )

OKAY IVE ACTUALLY PLAYED TWO SESSIONS SINCE MY LAST POST SO IM GONNA COMBINE THEM HERE SORRY FOR THE LENGTH BUT,,IVE COME SO FAR I DONT WANNA STOP NOW

this is gonna be very messy cause i WILL be jumping back and forth as things come back to mind so uhh pls enjoy this absolute ramble <3

anyway. i continued playing omori and boy do i have some Thoughts

so first session; i went through the pyre(something i forgot the full name sob) forest/sprout mole village/sweetheart’s castle in one go and let me TELL YOU. DOING THAT WAS FUCKING INSANE I WENT NUTS holy shit.

so anyway.

pyre forest!!!! the lil race against the big spider coming after u for disturbing the smaller spiders mechanic was very fun i had a lot of fun figuring out the best routes to take. i know normally mechanics like that lead to ppl getting frustrated cause u have to keep retrying but i had a lot of fun!!!! sum annoyance but good natured type, th kind that just makes u try harder u know? i just enjoyed it JKFN;FN; candles in the foggy forest....now That is an aesthetic

the rare bear scared the fuckin shit out of me i remember it didn’t attack me straight away so i was like “aw (:” but then when i press x on him it takes me to a BATTLE SCREEN AND SUDDEN THAT MF IS TERRIFYING I WAS LIKE WHWHWHWHWKJDNJ. very funny i honestly wished i recorded my reaction

also omori is afraid of drowning...................................i am breathing heavily. i think whatever happened to mari is related to at least one of the things omori is scared of. so either heights, spiders, or drowning it seems. spiders doesnt seem super likely as a contributor to her death, and while falling from a height is more realistic, such a senseless way of dying doesnt seem to rlly fit ? with the vibe i get from the kiddos in the real world. which makes me think maybe drowning/otherwise suffocating is how she died...but we’ll see. also due to the forgotten library part, we know omori explicitly feared spiders/drowning before mari died so it’s also probable im jus talking out my ass here but still,,,,thoughts

ALSO. th fuckin plant monster thing under the scientist sprout mole’s room. major little shop of horror vibes from the design, absolutely adored it!!!!! originally i did just cut the wire holding the piano over it, ending it in one go, but i was very curious abt it so i reloaded a save file to actually fight it and

i know it only spread that gas to make the kiddos happy cause being happy reduces attack i think ? it decreases attack/defense but seeing the kiddos smile so much was nice (:

okay so now that i’ve wrapped my head around there being a six of crows/shadow and bone trilogy netflix tv show, i wanted to share some of my thoughts on it:

as y’all can see from my two previous posts on the subject im HELLA excited. bottom line, i cannot WAIT for this. i trust Leigh will force netflix to give this adaptation at least some of the quality it deserves. but imma just say a few things rn:

- my main issue is how theyre gonna handle the plot of the show. in terms of like, timeline, what story they’ll follow, how things will pan out. like is this an ENTIRELY NEW STORY that takes place after crooked kingdom that’ll allow all characters from the grishaverse to co-exist? will it be the books in chronological order, switching povs of characters from both stories? thats a bit much no? or following tgt, and then switch to soc in season 4? im assuning the first season (8 episodes) is purely for shadow and bone, as thats what its been titled so far (according to the article leigh tweeted), but i could be wrong

- what i DONT think is that theyre trying to cram tgt + soc duology into the 8 episodes, which is what i see people saying on here constantly. THEY ARENT TRYING TO CRAM ALL 5 BOOOKS IN 8 EPISODES. netflix series often have multiple seasons. im sure this wont be different. they would be insane to even attempt that.

- pls cast people accordingly (though im not super worried about this, knowing how much leigh is on our side with this matter)

- a lot of you say you didnt like tgt and that since the show is (presumably) starting off with following this series, its going to be a bad show, and get cancelled. but like. lol. first off. just cause you didnt like it doesnt mean other people wont. just cause you didnt like it doesnt necessarily mean its an objectively bad thing. and second. you vastly underestimate how the general public often LOVES any type of magical story with love triangle and pasty white boys. its MUCH easier to get someone into a tv show than a book. its a lot less commitment. you can leave a tv show on while youre chatting or cooking or something. you can’t do that with a book. it would have to be a really REALLY awful show to not pull a good enough portion of the unassuning general public (and again, i trust leigh won’t let it be that bad or at least i hope lol)

- im scared about kaz and how they’ll properly portray his trauma and personality and views on inej WITHOUT some sort of internal monolgue system (i.e his inner voice). its such a big part of kaz to be abe to hear his thoughts, i hope they find a way to do it

- i hope they don’t change kaz and inej’s relationship (i.e make them kiss or something lol)

- wylan and kuwei in ck??? will kuwei’s actor just play both roles the entire time wylan looks like kuwei? will it be cgi? idk

- i dont want to see live action matthias *** uGH

- i hope the magic doesnt look too too crummy

- @lips-and-literature brought up a good point on how SO much happens in crooked kingdom as opposed to soc, to s&b. the inej rescue, the grisha hunters, dunyasha, nina relearning her powers, the arc with colm fahey, the gangs, wylans mom, and so much more. whereas in soc it was just “we need to break into the ice court” and then they do it, and the book ends with “we broke into the ice court”. hopefully by the time soc’s season comes around, the episode count will be the usual 12-22 instead of 8. but that also depends on the episode length

- please let this be good i love my murder babies and alina starkov and i dont want them ruined. im hoping for the best dont let me down leigh

here’s a mega long bio i wrote a little while ago that i just copy and pasted from an old rp lmfao if there’s any inconsistencies let me know x

Ariel was built to last. She was built on rage, built on stupidity and bravery and the sort of alcohol consumption that’s meant to drown you. She was built on a string of one-night stands, on uncertainty and last minute decisions that change your life. Isabella MacKay had no idea of the implication of her actions when she decided to sleep around with men at bars at age 19. It was meant to be fun, something to take her mind of the man ( Benjamin Richards ) who had just shattered her heart into a million pieces, however, one particularly steamy night lead to a misuse of protection, and ultimately, Isabella noticing a hiccup in her period and a pregnancy stick that told her her whole life was about to change.

Everybody thought that they knew what was best for Isabella. Abort the child, honey, it’s not worth it. But Isabella was her own woman, and she wasn’t going to let anyone else’s decisions affect her own. For a little while the nineteen year old thought that maybe getting rid of the child would be easier, but Isabella wasn’t about taking the easy way out; if she’d done this to her herself, then she was going to stick with it. And so on April 3rd, 1959, Isabella gave birth to Ariel Winter MacKay and thus started the WHIRLWIND that became the MacKay family’s lives.

Straight off, Isabella could tell that her child was a troublemaker. She hoped her birth-father hadn’t been a troublemaker too, but it did seem as though Ariel had received double the amount of trouble Issy had. The child certainly knew how to cause a ruckus ( sometimes things Issy didn’t even think she could explain, but that was crazy, right? ), and this led to a pattern of Ariel attending the primary school’s Issy sent her to and being kicked out after just 10 or so months. Issy had no idea what was going on at these schools that would cause this, but she constantly felt awful for her child and didn’t know how to fix it, so she just continued to send her to school after school, school after school kicking the little child out. Issy was upset and angry and confused…until Ariel’s eleventh birthday when a strange man delivered a letter that would explain everything.

Issy often thinks it was most likely Ariel’s birth father that gave this to her…Ariel’s birth father was probably the wizard that gave the blood that turned Ariel into a witch.

Ariel was absolutely ecstatic. Her whole life she’d been trying to tell her mother that she was DIFFERENT to the kids at her multitude of schools, but Issy had never listened to what she thought was her delirious child. Ariel had been left to think she was insane, psychotic, but when that man had turned up at her doorstep, Ariel finally felt like she belonged somewhere. Never had it really mattered to Ariel before about ‘fitting in’, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t excited she finally had somewhere to actually slot herself in and maybe feel normal for once.

But apparently Ariel MacKay just wasn’t meant to be normal.

On September 1st after her eleventh birthday, Ariel ran through a brick wall (‘Are you sure we’re meant to do this, Ri? It looks dangerous…’) and boarded the Hogwarts Express on her way to a school where she would learn how to control her magic. She chatted away to anyone she could on the train, and it quickly became obvious that Ariel was made to be popular. She befriended first year after first year, and moved on to the seconds and the thirds, too, and she enjoyed every single minute of attention she received. She was going to be happy at Hogwarts, she was sure, and nothing was going to stand in her way.

Except, of course, her psychotic bipolar disorder, which was quickly diagnosed when she was just 14 years old.

Ariel had had a fairly breezy run through the first three years of her schooling at Hogwarts, but it had become obvious towards the end of her third year that these mood swings she had always possessed were becoming manic, and she herself was showing psychotic symptoms. She’d tried to sweep it under the rug, nothing could be wrong with Ariel Winter MacKay, but it just continued to worsen and worsen, and now she’s on daily medication to keep herself in check. She still provides psychotic symptoms at times, and she has the occasional manic depressive or just plain mania episode, but mostly it’s just been dumbed down to irritability and the occasional mood flux.

Apparently wars also don’t help you very often in treating bipolar. A full-fledged wizarding war which Issy doesn’t even understand, and Ariel doesn’t really either. A wizarding war against muggles, a.k.a. what Isabella is, and muggleborns, which there’s a possibility Ariel is, and Ariel has no idea what to think. Only one idea is clear in her mind; she has to FIGHT. Every bone in her body is strong and ready, every muscle is twitching to use all this magic she’s learnt, use it somewhere that is going to be bloody helpful. Ariel aspires to be an Auror, because she knows that she has to make a difference somehow, war or not, but especially war. She’s not scared ( ‘fear blinds you from your goals’ ), she’s just ready – ready to take a S T A N D.

She had enough time to slow down and change to the number 1 lane without any incident when she was suddenly rear ended on her back right bumper. That force sent her into the ceneter median aand hit her front driver side hard enough that it spun her around and faced the opposite direction (facing traffic). Long story short she has severe front and back end damage on a Brand New 2008 Civic that she is leasing. After speaking with the appraiser of the he mentioned that it is likely a totaled loss. Ahe has full coverage insurance with AAA but don't think that she has GAp insurance. How is this going to affect her lease that she just entered a month ago. She was not at fault and the accident report hasn't been finalized. Will this affcet her in getting a new car and insurance?
