When the nature speaks. when the when the *crying*
Ok get this, we've been seeing forecast of heavy rain since yesterday (quarter to 5 AM here at the moment)
The forecast was of 3AM. So get this, the winds had been strong all night, but no sign of rain where we live. My brother even got annoyed at one point bcuz it's been raining throughout our country but not where we live. Anyways, wind direction was eastward which is also the direction our windows are towards. Meaning not being able to enjoy the winds from indoors.
Sooo, at about 2AM my youngest brother said he was hungry, my other bro goes downstairs to check if he can find something for him. (Turns out, there was nothing which he agreed on so I texted my bro to return upstairs cuz the hungry one had dozed off anyway).
He returns, I suggest we head to the terrace for a little, I really wanted to feel the winds. We do so and then I wanna go to the roof. Winds are fast but not too strong. So we head to roof and enjoy the weather. Spend some time there.
Then suddenly, I hear dogs barking from far off, bro ignores it, nothing unusual. But there's also birds starting to chirp, loudly, it wasn't even Fajr time yet. I find it very unusual and he doesn't notice. Birds sure sometimes chirp at night but both at once and that urgently? Something must be up. Not to mention, we believe that dogs bark when they see jinnat or something. Not everyone will get what I mean here. Moving on!
Then we hear the roosters, it is said that the roosters crow when they see angels. We also believe angels control the direction of winds and paths of clouds. Right afterwards, we hear the ravens and crows. And suddenly there are numerous loud calls of animals from everywhere all at the same time. Animals which aren't even awake at that time. Now little brother notices. He finds it strange.
It's not even Fajr yet, roosters crow at Fajr or Tahajud, but it was not either of those times. Crows don't even wake up before morning. And then, the wind shifts. Both of us feel it, its whistle changes, gets louder, like a warning, we hear and feel it first and then we hear loud clatter and clangs and thuds of windows shaking a little and clothes fluttering strongly and things getting toppled.
It's like every single sentient being has woken up all of a sudden and is telling us to go inside. So we go inside and we check the time; 2:55 AM, 5 minutes before 3 AM, the forecasted time for rainstorm.
We see the lightning, the clouds and the dusty haze that falls over the neighborhood. The winds have gotten much stronger. But get this, it still doesn't start raining yet.
Let me tell you about Fajr. Every prayer has specific time, Fajr starts when the first, thread-thin ray of sunlight breaches the horizon, it can only be seen in areas with zero light pollution and vast horizon with no buildings in the way. Time for Fajr ends when the sky starts getting bright, when the dawn arrives, when the sun itself just starts to breach the horizon. But the time it takes to actually pray, whether one head to the mosque or not is not too much, just four rakahs.
After I was done praying, and was lying in bed checking through Tumblr, I heard the rain. I hurried outside, the rain had started, and it was dawn. The time passed was just enough for people who pray at the mosque to be done and return home.
Rainfalls, which was forecasted for 3 AM, didn't start at 3AM but stormy winds did, it started once Fajr time was complete.
I just, I can't stop thinking about this. And this isn't the first time storms have done that. I've seen storms going throughout the night pausing during Fajr time, I've seen rain restarting after Fajr time ends, I've seen it stopping at Asar so so many times and it never ceases to amaze me.
#i don't even know what to tag this#but since it headed in that direction at the end#islam#nature#also one day. a very poud. like explosion loud crack of thinder sounded and woke so many of us up#it happened at the time of Fajr. just a minute or two before the call of Adaan.
