So the bad news is that I think the large mirror (5' wide 2' tall) in the half-bath is attached to the wall solely with some kind of construction adhesive; the worse news is that the top of the mirror has pulled away from the wall by about half an inch, which is how I can see the adhesive that used to hold the upper portion to the wall.

I am not sure how to safely fully remove the mirror so that I can rehang it in a less terrifying manner

#augh #the good news is that it currently feels very firmly affixed to the wall so there's no imminent danger #can't blame this one on the prev. owners this one is on the people they bought it from #angst and woe #it was inevitable this project would turn out to be much bigger than expected #also on the list: sanding down the baseboard and repainting because i can't simply clean off the clay litter streaks
