Ciaran was quite special. Very handsome, always surrounded by people. You aren’t sure if being with him was a blessing or a curse.

He swore he was yours only, but you can’t help but feel hurt when he is flirting with someone right in front of you. There are also times where his phone blows with notifications from different people. It hurt, your heart felt like it was shattering just to be put back and destroyed again.

But the last straw was when you got a message from one of his lovers, they got a moment ofweakness, they felt bad and spilled everything out in a long message. The cherry on top were screenshots and photos of them kissing each other.

You were sure this time your heart just ceases to exist. You cried a lot that day, not ready to face Ciaran. You packed his things and left them outside of the door.

It baffled him how you would leave him just like that, it was just a small misunderstanding. It was, he thinks, just one time thing. You got just oh so boring he couldn’t take it anymore. He still loves you! He really does.

He missed your smile, your smell, how beautiful you looked in the rising sun when you just woke up. His heart squeezes in his chest. Another night spent waiting by your door, you won’t let him in of course, but he just likes to sit there, happily humming when he sees you through your windows. It became a routine, you never called the cops on him, which means you still must like him. Hope burned in his chest, and slowly the obsession for you began.

And he will get his little boyfriend back. You don’t feel safe in your house anymore, Ciarian gave up on sitting outside of your house yes, but now you can’t stop receiving messages and calls from random numbers.

Sometimes the caller breathes, silently stuttering your name, sometimes even moaning. Calling you his little pretty boy and shit. It made your stomach twist. You called the police many times, but at this point they just don’t believe you because of your lack of evidence. Lazy bastards. You also began receiving gifts, your favorite food, drinks, clothes that fit you perfectly. There was well, one time where your friend was over and one of these gifts appeared, with a card attached to it. A box of chocolates.

You were very tired that day, barely keeping yourself awake, you told your friend to take it. They accepted gladly, and began to eat while you went to the kitchen to make some coffee for you and them, that's when you heard a shriek and gagging sounds. You ran to your friend and saw them pulling hair out of their mouth, there was some skin attached to it. Your friend threw up soon after.

So, after that incident their gifts landed in trash. You feared what you might find out in them next. You don’t feel safe here, but you don’t have enough money to move. So like a rational person, you took another shift. The less you are home the better. It turns out you were wrong.

You came back in the middle of the night, you were practically falling asleep while standing up. You took off your shoes and headed to the kitchen for a sip of water so you can head to bed. When you turned on the light you froze in place. A beautifully wrapped heart shaped box sat on the counter waiting. You swallowed, body moving on your own. The gifts never appeared inside of your house. Hell, they are getting bolder with each gift. As you got closer to the box, a foul smell filled your senses. It was sweet, a little fruity.  Your shaking hands hovered over the opening of the box, carefully lifting up the lid.

Your scream echoed through the house, as you fell down to the floor. Inside of the box was a human heart, carefully placed and surrounded by your favourite flowers.

You felt a hand on your shoulder, and a warm breath on your cheek.

Ciaran.

Your breath hitched, you didn’t dare to move as his bloody hands wrapped around your shaking form.

“Did you like my gift? Only the best for my boyfriend, do you forgive me now? Look how much I have done for you.” He kissed your cheek.

“I forgive you for kicking me out, I’m a better man after all of this has ended you know? Now we can be together forever.”

Who writes a ton of these moé Cute Girls Doing Cute Things shows which are generally aimed at grown men with the appeal being how simple-minded, bubbly, uncomplicated, pure and cute the girls are. Generally paired with highly niche male autist interests, you know such as big ice breaking ships.

Non-sexual objectification is still objectification. Yes sorry I'm gonna be one of those feminists ruining your anime.

I watched it in Japanese subtitled because that's the only thing available on Crunchyroll. The dub is only available on the Blu-rays which I doubt Lily actually bought. Which means I have officially supported this show more than she has lol.

Needless to say I'm not doing a react to her video on it and this mini react is enough. The show is a boring paint by numbers affair about teenage girls and grown women all wanting to go to Antarctica for no real reason other than the plot demands it because that's the premise. Like Shirase's missing mother wasn't even a scientist or an engineer or anything she and her two friends also just spontaneously decided to go to Antarctica, one of the most dangerous places on Earth, cause it sounded fun.

The writing is lazy and contrived at every angle because it's just in service of watching moé anime girls be around highly detailed machinery. Also there's no lesbians Lily is lying to you.

this guide will be divided into two parts: how i take & edit my gameplay screenshots and how i edit my simstagram posts

before we get into the actual tutorial, here are a list of things that i use to help me take better screenies :)

gshade

i'm using an older version of gshade because - thanks to my procrastination - i never updated the version before everything went to shit.

2. presets!

i switch around between presets a lot lmao but for the most part, i use ellcrze's gshade preset for my family dynamics save, sunset n vinyl for my globetrotter save & sim download pictures and a modified boho dreams for my tjol legacy save (first post coming up soon!) sometimes i use lithium for cas pics too :p click here for a somewhat detailed explanation lol

3. tab mode camera mod

this camera mod is a godsend and makes taking screenshots soooooo much easier! 😌 i highly recommend getting this mod!!!

i think i mentioned this before in an ask - i edit my screenshots in photoshop before posting them on tumblr :D i don't really do much, just running a few actions and cropping my screenies. gshade does most of the work for me lol

this tutorial by @buglaur is insanelyyyy helpful omg i based my entire editing process on her tutorial, except for the colouring part because i'm lazy hehe

here's an example of my screenshots before and after editing (cropping the screenshot and running some actions)! there’s not much difference because as i said earlier, gshade will basically carry your entire editing process 💀

sometimes i put text in my pics like these screenies below :) i mainly use these two fonts - winkle and lemon milk :D

i'm using a 🏴‍☠️ version of photoshop that i got from a somewhat sketchy website but it runs great so i'm not complaining 💀

3. the actual instagram app

disclaimer: i am NOT a photoshop expert. there's probably an easier way to do what i'm about to show you, but this works for me and i don't really mind the steps hehe

first things first, you're gonna want to open the psd files on photoshop and it'll look like this, depending on which file you opened

i usually just hide the layers that i don't need so in this case i'll hide the tagged users layer from the story psd and the bg layer from the post psd.

these are the layers that i hide but you can also leave them on if you want hehe totally up to you my dude. then you'll end up with something like the pics below

now we move on to the profile pictures! so what i do is i click these layers (shown below) and go 'file > place embedded > selected picture'

once you do that, you'll end up with something like this (below)! use 'ctrl + t' to resize your picture to fit into where the profile picture would go.

right click on the layer of your selected picture and click 'create clipping mask'. then you can hit 'ctrl + d' to adjust the picture to your liking!

now for the actual pictures for the posts. click on these layers (shown below) and go 'file > place embedded > your selected picture'

now all you have to do is 'ctrl + t' to resize your pictures, right click on the layer of the selected picture and click 'create clipping mask' then 'ctrl + t' again to adjust the pics!

after this whole process, i'll export my pics to my family dynamics folder on my desktop and queue it up on tumblr! :D sometimes my simstagram story posts have text and emojis like these ones below

all i did was upload the pics to google drive, download it to my phone, add text/emoji on the actual instagram app then saving the story to my phone... a lot of work but i don't really mind <3

Only reason I submitted Leafeon was so I could show off this ~masterpiece~ of a plushie I own. And it's face isn't the only thing wrong with it too lol. Also I just noticed I accidentally had one of the ears hanging back but I'm too lazy to go take another photo but i hope this amuses you nonetheless.

YEAH it's super unbelievably fucked up. i think i kinda remember the circumstance being a bit dire so everyone else was more worried about either 1. protagonist getting stomped on brutally or 2. saving the world from kyurem / the bittercold. i was totally under the impression that he was dead in that moment but i guess the characters may have known that he would just come back? i seem to vaguely remember partner being surprised that he came back and being like "but we watched you die :OOO" but maybe i'm misremembering that. i do create a lot of pmd lore on my own time so i have a hard time telling the difference between canon and fanon sometimes

Quest For Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness | Part 8

The Adventurer's Log

To the swamp! But Erana's Garden first to get another fruit. I keep forgetting to do that. Plus I can water the bonsai tree. No idea if there's any point in doing that but I like doing it.

Since I was headed to the swamp I also went toward the cave, since it's nearby, to stop by the big arch to see if I could find the ritual under the Dark One's sign. I didn't find anything. Then again I didn't when I first took the sign either, so I'm not sure what to do about that. Did it get taken?

Back to the swamp I glided my way across until I found the tomb and two Chernovy.

After a little spell slinging (yay reversal), they made it get dark and came to me.

The Juggling Lights spell is fun. Yeah, let me just put on a light show for ya. I mean it's a practical use in cancelling their darkness spell but it's also just fun to see. Then it turned into a fight.

And made me chew right through my MP so I'm glad I'd grabbed another fruit along the way. I had to resort to my dagger in the second fight, ew.

Once they were gone, I was able to examine the tomb? Pillar?

Of course the Dark One's sign was used for the inset figure and I was given a puzzle with the arcane symbols to presumably mark in order.

I figured the order would be the same as the arch. That I had I just been examining. But did I remember the order? Of course not! Were the symbols all clear to see in my old screenshots? Nah. Did I ever note them down? No!

I didn't want to glide my way all the way back across the swamp again and then have to do it again to get back, so I reloaded an old save and went to have another look. Remember, multiple saves can save your butt AND let you be lazy.

Anyway the order is: mouth, bone, blood, breath, sense, heart, and essence... which means just starting at mouth and going clockwise one symbol at a time. Oops easy! But also a good thing because I could still not tell what the symbols for sense and essence actually were. That got me the Ritual of Bone. I still don't know why I'm collecting these, but I'm gonna need them at some point and it gave me something to do while waiting for nightfall.

I went back to town to see how things were going and get more healing and poison curing since I used one of each today. Plus the mana fruit. Look at me using my items.

As soon I entered the main area of town the Burgomeister told me Nikolai had disappeared.

And I didn't go to find him last night because of the gypsy visit, so hopefully that's not going to be a problem for me... erm. Tonight!

The last time the Burgomeister saw him he was looking for Anna and seemed so excited to see her. He'd like to believe they're together again. I'm... thinking that may be the case... as ghosts... Agh.

There was also talk of werewolves sparking again with him missing but the Burgomeister put a halt to that.

He'll miss Nikolai...

Oohhh... Tonight's gonna be sad, isn't it? Sadder. Or bittersweet I guess? I'd be more surprised if he was alive given the everything and dangers of the forest, but knowing that's only fueling the little sad pit of dread.

Olga noted Nikolai's absence too: "More missing people! Now old Nikolai is gone! What is this town coming to?"

Otherwise nothing new from her.

The innkeeper really had nothing new, not even anything about Nikolai, but I did have to pay for my next week of room and board. Against my better judgement I went to see Punny while there too.

"Did ya hear the one about the Vampire that underestimated his opponent? He didn't know how much he had at stake."

That's better than the material he's had so far... Otherwise he didn't have anything for me either, which I was expecting.

Went to see Igor, but nothing there either except I was reassured that he's "not tomb bad." Who needs Punny Bones anyway?

Everything else in town may have been quiet, but it was an exciting day for Dr. Cranium. "Behold... Frankie!"

There she is.

He was very excited and certain she'd have all the necessary assets to become a premier laboratory assistant. And he's a genius! None other have successfully created a Frankie like his!

He didn't have much else. He didn't want to talk about the experiments he and Frankie will perform as he thinks the world may not be ready for them. And Frankie is a little shy.

When I left he said he might not be available. That's annoying for potion getting... I hope it was just talk.

Alrighty then. I don't know if I want to know what those experiments will be either.

I went to go have a nap because I still had quite a bit of day left and my stamina and mana weren't great. Especially the mana. Two hours did well for my stamina, but mana still wasn't very good oh well.

Once night fell I went to go find Anna and yeah... Nikolai's ghost too as expected.

They were very happy to see each other. So there's that...

Together in death I suppose... They thanked me and vanished and I had to do the whole leave and come back again to get them to reappear. Unfortunately I went north and found an eerie mound.

It resulted in a wraith that destroyed me. When I tried again I still went north to see if it was a consistent thing or random and yeah, still there, but I managed to get away before getting completely killed.

Anna and Nikolai did come back to thank me, and I was able to talk to them. I didn't get much in the way of new information that I hadn't already learned or figured out by now. Nikolai told me about the secret passage from the crypt to the castle, but thanks to nosiness I already did that. He also mentioned the stranger that went to the castle, "the Dark Master".

Anna also told me to talk to her old friend Olga (aw) for more information too as she was a good source. And I already do that too. I kind of feel like I was meant to do this earlier.

AND Nikolai gave me his hat. I have a hat! I'm coming, Bonehead! Not yet but soon. That was feeling like a bottleneck, so I'm glad.

Then they left... I guess they're happy? They're together and Anna's no longer lost... Dead but clearly spirits are a thing so... Happy ending?

I fled back to town.

Thanks to the general activities of the day and that wraith encounter I didn't have enough MP to levitate over the now-barred gate... I could use the spell but it immediately wore off so I had to rest until I had enough to get over the gate and the run back to the sweet sweet safety of the inn. Thankfully resting at the gate seemed safe enough.

I was not in good shape!

I got some dinner and instead of just delivering my food and leaving Bella actually stayed to talk!

She thinks Igor is a nice person and she always leaves out some dinner for him. He's always polite to her though she doesn't really understand his 'graveyard humour.'

She was also glad I helped the gypsy. She doesn't know if they're werewolves or not and doesn't care. They all have the right to live in Mordavia. She told me to tell the gypsy if I see him again that she and Yuri at least will welcome him in town. Yuri seemed a little more uncertain of this, but Bella seems in control here at the end of the day.

Time to end the day and what a day... Bed never looked so good.

And just as I was thinking, wow, a night with no interruptions, I woke in the morning to discover a note on my storage chest:

"Please meet tonight outside the town gates. I will be waiting, Your friend, Katrina."

Is she my friend though?

Another night activity for me... but daytime means NPC rounds before finally going to see Bonehead again to deliver the hat.

Bella stayed again when she brought me breakfast and had more to say. Of particular interest were Erana's staff and the Domovoi.

Staff: She said her mother would always visit the garden or her staff when unhappy and would feel better for doing so. She said tales said Erana was part fairy. She also suggested I sleep at the staff and I may have pleasant dreams. Another night task I suppose.

Domovoi: She used to see him as a child. She would sneak down in the middle of the night to try to find him and he would always laugh and laugh when she did. Awww. She doesn't see him anymore as an adult but is sure he's still there.

She also talked a bit about dreams and that they should be believed in. She's always telling that to Yuri who seems less inclined.

Yuri had a dream last night about Tanya. He spoke of her going missing two years ago and that the gravedigger had seen a huge monster outside her window. Matches what the Domovoi told me. He was generally more chatty too and talked about the Domovoi and Rusalka but wasn't sure if they actually existed or not. And there have always been rumours of vampires but it's ill luck to speak of them.

Heading out and the Burgomeister was more open with me now too! He also didn't have much to say about Vampires, just rumoured and that's never heard of anyone actually being harmed by one.

I asked about the Dark One. It's another subject of bad luck to speak of but he talked about how it was worshipped in the monastery and the members there mostly stayed there but were still feared in town. Then one day they were gone. They heard of the fighting at the Dark One's cave, but only his grandfather returned with Erana's staff.

People are being so open today! I guess I hit some threshold of doing enough good. He's even telling me to be careful now, more nicely.

Nothing new from Olga or Igor. Dr. Cranium was trying to figure out his report on the Frankie.

I also told him about the undead. He just considered vampires and rusalki and wraiths to be superstitious nonsense. Tell that to the wraith that murdered me. Tell that to my friend, the rusalka who's kindly trying not to murder me.

Time to head out and if I don't get distracted by other matters, deliver a hat to Bonehead. Smooth sailing aside from a vicious rabbit encounter (vorbal bunny I think?), but they're pretty manageable now.

I made my hat delivery and it looks pretty good on him I must say.

Baba Yaga was ready for me according to him, got a book ready and everything: "How to serve man".

I had some looking around to do and there was supposed to be a ritual in the hollow of a tree here if I got the clue correct. If there was anything there I couldn't find it yet. There was a large knothole but "knot" anything inside it. There was also a boulder nestled in the roots but nothing I tried with it worked either.

On to Baba Yaga's hut.... but it kept walking away from me. Might be mad about the whole thing in Spielburg leading it to having to fly over here.

So according to Bonehead I gotta gift it something. We could be friends...

This entry refers to the first ever event banner this game had: Ollie.

During the duration of the event, if you pulled in the gacha and got a legendary Esper, there was a 10% chance that it would be Ollie. After making 350 pulls, this chance would get increased by another 10% every 50 pulls (400 would be 20%, 450 would be 30%, 500 would be 40% and so on)

This means that you would only be guaranteed an Ollie at your 850th pull. This has, understandably, made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

Luckily, the system has been changed since then into something a bit more sensible.

Essentially, late 2023/early 2024, Lilith has been preparing to officially launch Dislyte in China. This was a pretty big deal, and so a lot of promoting and effort went into it.

From what I remember, the general reception to the idea was mostly negative - most players viewed it as a cheap, lazy way to charge players for new characters without putting in the effort of actually developing them.

Due to this reaction, the idea has been dropped and not brought up since.

On the game's subreddit, user SoLongAndGoodnight_ has become lovingly known as "that one user desperately trying to get Li Ling". They documented their pulls on the subreddit, the journey becoming a sort of inside joke within the community.

People suggested just using wish stones to get him, but a consensus of 'it's the principle of the thing' quickly took root.

After nearly two years of getting unlucky, on the 25th of March, 2024, SoLongAndGoodnight_ had finally pulled a Li Ling from the gacha - marking the end of an era and one long-ass journey. The post announcing it is now one of the most upvoted posts in the subreddit.

so the official name for this AU is the "Tax Evasion AU" (inside joke, there is not actually much tax evasion going on here) and i wrote a short introduction here but basically: yeah, dramatic sibling drama.

They're intentionally Gerudo (with Zelda being half-Hylian princess) because I specifically wanted the plot to be about overthrowing the Hylian Empire (sometimes you want the uncomplicated benevolent monarchy fantasy, and sometimes you want to light it on fire. it can take turns.) So in this AU the Gerudo (and a lot of the other Zelda races) have been colonized by the Hylians.

ANYWAY, the age order is in fact very intentional! I lean into sibling stereotypes a bit, but also I think Ganondorf>Zelda>Link is the typical age order vibe I get in most LOZ games. But in Tax Evasion AU specifically, it sets up the tension in their dynamic. I've talked about this before with a friend so I'm just gonna put the discord screenshots since I don't feel like typing this out 😭

The point of the sibling thing is to give them a choiceless connection from the start, independent of the Reincarnated Destiny thing. Because it raises the question of: is fate real, and which fate is real.

Is it Ganondorf's fate to care for his siblings, or is it his fate to turn on them? Does he believe in the circumstances of his birth, or does he believe in the stars?

Huh ok so I got through THR phase 1 much faster than I thought I would. All in all, I started in the middle of the summer, more or less, and not only did I finish most of it, I also squeezed a fair amount of Legends books in between. I will be starting the Fallen Star as soon as I finish another Legends book, and then Midnight Horizon and maybe a few more things and I'll start being annoying about The High Republic Phase 2 instead! (I still have some Phase 1 comics left, but after the fallen star and midnight horizon lol)

ok i'm working on a full write up but some initial thoughts!

I liked it! I had fun! the big act break missions were some of the raddest shit ever and a few of the companions were my absolute favorites and the voice work was incredible. gorgeous character and level design too. I liked how much emphasis was put on companion relationships and I liked that the stakes felt real re: companion relationships and potentially losing allies and I liked building relationships with the faction leadership (antoine and evka my bffs)

on the other hand, the unavailability of companions outside of their personal quests was kind of unfortunate. I miss being able to just shoot the shit, even if I'm rehashing old conversation trees. even something as simple as a changing greeting to indicate changing relationships would have been nice. and the wealth of companion content meant that not having much companion content (say, if your romance is 90% in the endgame) was unbelievably frustrating.

I also found most of the callbacks to previous games....... kind of lazy. there's that bit where the inquisitor and dorian and morrigan are all standing together and they don't even talk? there's like 2 lines of ambient dialogue?? neither dorian nor the inquisitor has a unique conversation they can have with rook?? frustrating as hell. and don't get me started on the ugly tevinter PJs for the inquisitor or how she's just around to maybe-reconcile with solas. honestly it feels like they brought the inquisitor in pretty late and simply didn't have any content for them. even the references to Inquisition from harding are vague and unclear; they don't even specify who's Divine. not saying everything needs an import slider but could we not have had a "main canon" option that at least like, idk, referenced the Divine Victoria by name the way DA2 imported a couple pre-set HoFs? and it's so weird that rook is deciding the fate of the inquisitor (re: a solas romance anyway). mostly I just feel like it needs to be either more or less rook's story and it seems like the game can't decide

love what they did with varric. hands down the most satisfying best of both worlds option for him and I'm so pleased they committed. still think the interludes were annoying as shit but I grudgingly do love how they set up for the narrator change when elgar'nan starts talking in act 3. *shakes fist* damn you bioware your payoff was satisfying

also this game wins for most Times I Teared Up While Playing It so good job veilguard. I really did have a lot of fun I wish I could relive some of those moments for the first time. I'm gonna post so many screenshots sorry (not sorry). god I love dragon age.

Helloo!! I'm brazilian and i'm still learning english so forgive me for any grammar mistakes. I've gotten all endings (i guess- please let me know if i missed anything!) so here's my review of Perfect Love! ♥

I loved this game sooo much! I never played an visual novel with a mean main character and it was just amazing. The trope of ''us'' being the actual villains is very interesting and it made the game super unique! It's also pretty obvious the amount of effort and hard work that's in the game, I was impressed by the quality of it all.

The music and sound effects are pretty good, I loved it all! The artstyle is very pleasing to look at and the black/white/grey contrast with Milo's blue/red eyes are such a nice touch too. I also loved the amount of easter eggs (you couldn't imagine the face I made when I named myself 'Ren') and secret endings/scenes.

Fortunately, when I first played, I knew nothing about the game nor about Milo (which I believe made the experience better since everything turned out to be surprising) and the endings were really good. Through the gameplay, I've encontered one grammar mistake (which I forgot to screenshot it, sorry) and one sprite glitch but nothing that made me annoyed.

After finishing the 8 main endings, I decided it was time to look a little bit on the official Tumblr's page of the VN and that's when I decided to test out all of the easter eggs and that's when I discovered the secret scenes.

So, to summary it all: absolutely 10/10! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun playing a game and being so invested in unlocking all of it's content! I was flabbergasted when I lost all of my endings heh

Please let me know if I missed anything- I'd be more than happy to clear the game entirely.

Hello there! I love reviews. On my other blog I always write recommendations/reviews for other vns, so I'm always open to seeing what people like and dislike about the game. I hope you don't mind that I'm just gonna mash these two asks into one ask.

Thank you! I also think that a lot of vns don't always focus on being the bad guy in the story and those that do I usually enjoy quite a lot! I'm glad you like the quality of it, it was a lot of fighting renpy and it's UI because I have a one sided rivalry with the base renpy UI. I tried to make it look good though I think I maybe should have attempted to redraw some of the sprites for Milo (for like the third time).

For the art style itself, I actually did it in black and white because it was originally for the 2023 yanjam and I wanted to make a style that wouldn't be extremely tiring for me, and I really like lineart so I made everything in black and white (and also because I'm lazy, I say as I animate half of my assets). The red and blue really make it pop at the end since it's one of the few time color is used in the game. I love when people put easter eggs in their game and I know of a lot of yandere vns so I wanted to put in a ton! I'll probably put in even more in the update when I get all of the extra stories done because putting easter eggs like that is very fun.

Having no knowledge of a game is always a good way to be surprised about the premise and I think it definitely was something good in your case too! For the grammer/ sprite errors if you do ever play or remember what they were, please let me know. I'll try to fix it in the next update if possible.

It's always so nice seeing that people like my game though! I tried my hardest to make it a worthwhile experience and considering it's (technically) my first game, it really makes me happy to see that people really like it! Hopefully it doesn't have too much of the first game amatureness that tends to come (nothing wrong with it, but I hopefully have showcased I kind of know what I'm doing, I say, sweating profusely) .

Yup! That is all of the scenes in the game so far. At least that you can access. If you look inside of the code, I actually have two scenes that I put in there. One of them is pretty much a test scene featuring the character from the next game I'm making, and the other is a special scene where you go to Milo's apartment. You can't access those in the main game, but you can play them if you edit the code a bit.

Basically (for those who don't know), all you have to do is put "jump" and then the name of the label afterwards (so for instance if the label is "rabbit" you would put "jump rabbit") after label start in the code. The two scenes that are not accessable in the game are the last two scenes in the script.rpy file just to make it easier for you. (I put a note that says like "#I'm very dedicated to my craft I say as I disect Milo and then beat him with a stick" because I'm sorry Milo, you deserve better)

I assumed that your constant use of tags such as “two river bootleg” meant you were claiming that the posts you made were of screenshots of a supposed bootleg that you hadn’t found in video form but HAD found screenshots proving its existence. I also may be misremembering details because I don't have very good memory.

The only reason I made that post was because I wrongfully assumed you were saying that the screenshots you posted were from a bootleg, and for that I apologize. Indigo Disk Photo Album

Just some screenshots and excuses to ramble a bit about Drayton, the environments in Indigo Disk, and Rika. Major spoilers obviously.

First of all, I want to say when Drayton said "Yo, Champ in the making," I was so happy. Such an adorable callback for old fans. Then when I beat the next E4 and he said 'Yo yo, Champ in the making' I thought maybe it was just script writers being lazy and not noticing, but MAYBE he said it twice because I beat TWO people? The third time confirmed it was intentional and I was so happy, lol. Also, I saved him for last, which the dialogue takes note of, so that was really cool.

I liked Drayton, he was my favorite BB person. I think most of that 'laziness' stems from pushing back against all the no doubt intense pressure put on him to follow in the footsteps of family members that are very powerful and accomplished trainers, and really, who could blame him. (Read his dialogue with Hassel if you get the chance, it's good) He's also a 'lil toxic towards Kieran when Player wins, but again, I can't exactly blame him for having some bad feelings towards Kieran considering how much of a JERK Kieran was being.

Terarium stuff. I loved this Pyroar they intentionally placed on the Pride Rock-esque formation. Also I loved other environmental details like electrowebs for Galvantula, antlion pits for Trapinch, nests for Vullaby, etc. Also met up with Perrin so the brothers could re-unite . . . girl why don't you evolve your Growlithe. You do know all you need is a Fire Stone, right? You could be riding a giant fire dog around.

The extra-super sparkly part to Area Zero was nice, but this underground lake with this awesome tree in the center was the coolest. I think they should have had Terapogos there instead of some random poke you need to battle to progress. Also, I have to admit this WAS a very cool moment, when Terapogos broke the Master Ball. It felt very impactful, just seeing that. So props for that.

Ms. Briar's academic obsession with Terapogos is so similar to Sada/Turos' obsession with building a Time Machine and a paradise, I really expected more parallels to be drawn in the story but they never really did. I feel like they didn't take full advantage of that. Although I suppose it's nice Ms. Briar realized she needed to step back, that she was hurting people as a result, whereas Arven's parent never realized this. (I'm gonna explore the idea more if I do an Indigo Disk rewrite and get the Paldea Pals properly involved in the plot) Kieran had an obsession of his own, of course, with Ogerpon but also with growing stronger, and that resulted in a lot of pain too ultimately.

Okay so, the added information on Rika was interesting. She mentions 'babysitting the boss' because Geeta is prone to being absent-minded and needs help keeping track of all the details, which a lot of people loved, although personally I don't like Geeta, so that info didn't fascinate me too much. I found it more interesting that Rika got super upset when she learned Player went into Area Zero, which is honestly really sweet that she's that concerned for our safety. She also mentions that she 'went to kind of a rough school' which is really interesting. I guess she didn't attend Naranja then. People often assume she and Geeta attended Naranja and met there as students, I guess that kinda wrecks that theory. I wonder which school Rika attended? I'm going to guess it's in an area that was economically disadvantaged, as "rough" usually means "poor" (Rika also notes the clubhouses were not 'as nice' as BB's)

Rika also notes that she has a "professional mode" when she's teaching or doing League work, which she finds exhausting if she has to do it all the time, and that she prefers her regular, relaxed, normal self. (She also reveals she wears the glasses because they make her look sharp and professional but they're literally just for show, which is hilarious.) If the player tells her they prefer regular Rika to professional Rika, she says she'll try to loosen up around us and act like her normal self. Aw.

What is your favorite episode of Appmon, and why?

OK, I wrote this prompt, so you'd THINK I'd have an easy answer to this, but I'm gonna break my own rules, because as it turns out I can't pick just one episode, lolol. And then I was going to do a Top 5, but I can't do that either! So here are my Top 7. I could probably have turned this into a Top 10, especially since all of the final episodes are SO strong, but I did try to limit myself to one episode per Appmon "arc" (which I'm not sure I could even delineate, but this sounds about right, so good enough!).

Episode 4 ("Take Your Dressing! Cameramon's Halloween Scandal!")

This episode is a GREAT early episode for its focus on Haru and Gatchmon's characters and their Driver-Buddy relationship, particularly showcasing how Haru is able to think on his feet and use his wits to win the day. Plus it's Halloween-themed. And Haru USES HIS GOGGLES. Literally, what's not to love?? XD

Episode 18 ("Haru and Yujin's Bond - Stop! Rampaging Resshamon!")

I LOVE this episode for paying homage to the Pokemon Go craze. Amazing and incredibly relevant, considering the show originally aired in 2016, rotfl. A very fun premise that also places a lot of emphasis on Haru and Yuujin's relationship, including Haru's worries about revealing his secret life as an AppDriver to Yuujin and insight into Yuujin's character, all important groundwork before Yuujin becomes an AppDriver in his own right.

Episode 25 ("Infiltrating to the Deep Web at last! The Mysterious Cyber Kowloon!")

OK, THIS actually might be my favorite episode. It has it all: gorgeous animation, an AMAZING setting, surreal comedy, a lot of drama, and ultimately our main trio of heroes biting off more than they can chew, ending on a positive note nonetheless. It's SUCH a well-done episode, and is an exciting and satisfying way to wrap up the first half of the series.

Episode 31 ("The Traveling Companion!? Tripmon's Terrible Trip")

While you might THINK I put this episode on my list for the Haru/Yuujin moments, it really made it on here because of its focus on Offmon, his fears, and ultimately... his secret. I love that little guy and the themes of the episode, plus Tripmon has a GREAT design and is a fun Monster of the Day!

Episode 36 ("The Conclusion of General Election! The Hand of Devil Approaching to Eri!")

AKA The One on the Yacht. My favorite Knight episode, if only because the storyboarding/direction is ON POINT and Eri is such a badass. The whole episode is such a wonderful showcase of her character and her plot thread (plus, Knight reveals his true colors to our heroine, in a truly stunning scene) <3

Episode 42 ("Rei's Determination! The Great "Search for Hajime" Operation!")

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the first half of this episode are the best 15 minutes of filler in the entire series. And it's not even really filler, since it's all about Rei getting an AMAZING focus episode that's simultaneously hilarious, satisfying, and completely heart-wrenching in the end. Plus more of Elena and Alice! WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE???

Episode 49 ("The Miraculous Final Evolution! The God Appmon Advent!")

(I don't have a screenshot for this one yet, sorry!)

THE LAST FEW EPISODES ARE SO IMPORTANT, but I wanted to talk about this one specifically. Our heroes (minus Haru) rally and unlock their God Grade Appmon in truly touching and wonderful scenes with their Buddies, with Minerva's question coming into play one last time. And then the visuals of the fight to follow (where the kids hover on platforms at their Appmon's sides in a way that's incredibly evocative of how their Buddies float around around when they're Unrealized) are so epic, in a way that you KNOW this is what the whole series has been building toward. Some truly amazing scenes, I'll leave it at that. This episode has me screaming, crying, frothing at the mouth, etc, and that feeling doesn't stop until the series is over. It's SO GOOD.
