Oh my, yet another sunday and I'm here to write a blog. I might actually see it trough for a year hahahaha we'll see. For this blog I wanna get all the art out of the way first and then talk about what else happend this week!
Week 3: Febuary 21st to 27th 2022
First artwork
"The special find" (Art trade with GddsAlexis)
Tumblr media
This is the second out of my big 3 art trades I did this month. The only Zora out of the 3. For 2022 I made the resolution to make illustrations that tell actual stories and don't just look pretty, so I have to try to come up with a concept for every illustration which can be quite difficult if it includes characters that aren't yours. I was inspired by one of the artworks my partner sent me for reference, the character was holding a cool sword so I decided to create an (unofficial origin story). The illustration turned out pretty neat, the lighting is mad cool and has to be my favorite part tho.
Second artwork:
"Following the canyion" (art trade with warwick)
Tumblr media
The last art trade I did. For this I tried to simplify the background to give the artwork more dimension, I had the feeling that the bgs in the other artworks were too bussy and took away from the actual character. Here I feel like the character is the main focus and everything else is just a bonus. Also I've hidden a bunch of Koroks in the illustration, can you find them all? (Idk how many there are tbh just a bunch)
Third artwork
Series "canine warriors" from Ōkami
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last post I was talking about drawing the canine warriors and well, here they are. All of the pups were drawn yesterday in one day. (I finished the last one at midnight). Here you have a selection of my favorite ones, find all of them on my instagram. This little series was so much fun, I enjoyed drawing all of them so much. They are quite simple, to fit into the Ōkami artstyle (which I'm pretty good at might I add). Now that I started a new game plus I might be motivated to do even more Ōkami art in the future!
Bonus wip
"By the light of Lumious" sketch
Tumblr media
This concept came to me when I had a terrible migrane on Friday. I was laying awake in my bed, unable to sleep and the light from outside was shining in my face. In those moments my mind often wanders and this time it let me to Lumious city. Pokemon X and Y are my favorite pokemon games and they are usually bashed in the community, which isn't fair. I hope to bring some much needed appreciation to the beautiful Kalos region with this illustration.
Oki update:
Here is a little update on my Betta fish Oki, who moved in last week. I want you to know that he's doing great, even started to built some bubble nests. Alltho he turned a little hostile towards me, which is probably just the normal nature of a betta fish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Life stuff:
Lastly I wanna talk about how my week went, as my last week of my break. To be honest this week wasn't that great as there was a covid case in the family and me getting sick (not with covid). I've spent my last week mostly asleep and feeling a little sick. On top of that creating such big illustrations back to back burned me out quite a bit from digital art, leading to me not drawing as much as I could. On a brither note, I've gotten back into animal crossing and Splatoon2 and launched a new pokemon collab over in my server.
On the topic of pokemon: today they revealed the new gen 9 games (as I predicted) and they look pretty awesome. The overworld looks really fun to explore and the cities are beautiful! However I'm not the biggest fan of the startes, as we've already had a cat and crocodile starter. Something new would have been appreciated tho they are quite cute. My biggest gripe is the character design of the human characters. These people do not look like pokemon characters to be, but remind me of those new anime esque switchsports miis. My guess is that after Leon and Adaman they were convinced they could not create something better in the future and jumped the ship. It's just my educated guess tho. Yea maybe I'll warm up to them if I see more characters like Gym leaders, etc. but we'll see. I'm excited non the less.
That was it for this blog, have a great next week. See you on Sunday!

word count: 3742
warnings: angst
(n.) the fear of being alone
It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault.
You could count on yourself and your godforsaken boyfriend that you’d rather stick your arrows up your ass before you’d admit it was your fault—which it clearly wasn’t.
Your chest guard felt sickly cramped as you tightened the string of your bow. You didn’t even give a second glance to the green lawn that faced the dojo—the arrows you’d fired today wasn’t sticking anywhere close to the target, and frankly, you had hoped that your coping method would fare much better than you’d thought.
From the corner of your eye, you noticed the wooden placard hanging from the entrance of the enclosure. Last year, a group of your upperclassmen had bought the gaudy thing from the nearby gift shop as a “parting gift to their cute kouhai”. You remembered the forced grin you and the other members shared when they decided to put it up at the first place anyone would see when they entered the dojo.
Heijoshin. Ordinary mind. An undisturbed heart at all times.
“An arrow won’t hit unless your spirit is in balance: resolute, yet serene,” the voice of the Kyudo Club’s coach echoed in your head.
Was it bothering you that much, your fight with Akaashi? If this lingered in your head, it’d affect your archery performances as well as the impressions you and the rest of the club had worked so hard on forming upon the new members… Maybe you should apologize soon—
Scowling, you clicked your tongue and picked up another arrow. “My mind is as ordinary as it can be. It’s not a problem… it’s not my fault.”
You nocked the shaft to your bow, your glove grazing gently on the fibers of the string. A petty fight wasn’t going to be enough to waver your resolve. If someone had to apologize, it was him. He’d started the whole thing anyway…
Taking a deep breath, the muscles of your shoulders slackened and you raised the bow over your head, drawing the string in an arc so perfect that’d have your upperclassmen and Akaashi gasping in awe. Into the stage of kai*, the wooden placard seemed to glow brightly in your head. This was it. This was going to be the perfect shot… Heijoshin…
You freed your mind off the entire universe and released. Miss.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
Just into your second year, your former upperclassmen had bestowed upon you the “honor” of being the Captain of the Kyudo Club—and to think that the tasteless placard in the dojo was weighty enough. Your boyfriend Akaashi, on the other hand, was a hair luckier with his entire Vice-Captain gig going on.
“’Lucky’… In my case, that word would fit better in a phrase like ‘lucky charm’ or ‘lucky fortune’. But about the things that I have to handle, it’s nearly unthinkable even if I’m only second-in-command,” he said, face paling in deep thought.
You laughed and fiddled with the yumibukuro* encasing your bow. “I suppose Bokuto-senpai is proving to be much more extraordinary than we’d thought. The Boys Volleyball Club is in for an exciting treat with him as Captain; you’re going to need a lot of lucky charms this time.”
“If we get enough new first-years to subdue him, then maybe it’d be a treat for me. Until then, I’m counting on my lucky charm to make sure I stay grounded.”
You blushed at his words, finding interest at the hem of your blazer—he always had his way to render you flustered even with a poker face on. Noticing the slight bump of your knuckles, Akaashi glanced at your dainty hands against his (though both calloused from hours of intense sports) and threaded your fingers together. Amused, he watched the red on your cheeks deepen.
“I-I’ll do my best so you can do your best, Keiji-san.”
Smiling, he brought your linked hands to eye level. “I look forward to it.”
“Akaashi!”
From around the corner where the both of you were huddled together, third-year Bokuto Koutarou, Captain of the Boys’ Volleyball Club, emerged. At a distance, he really did look like a horned owl just as the rumors said.
“Akaashi, I thought we were going to hand out the flyers together, you sleazy dog… Is that your girlfriend? Hi there, Kyudo-chan! Sorry, but I’m gonna have to take back what belongs to the Volleyball Club for a while, ‘kay?”
You only bowed politely, though roping all the forces in your body to not belt out in laughter. A quiet sigh escaping his lips, Akaashi reluctantly unraveled his fingers from yours and went to pick up the pile of hand-drawn promotions that had been sitting right below the bench. As his back faced you to go and fulfill his club duties, you felt your heart sink.
“Um… Keiji-san?”
He turned around hopefully, a playful glint dancing in his eyes. “Yes, Y/N-san?”
“You’ll be there to see my kyudo demonstration, right?”
A single eyebrow raised, Akaashi chuckled. “Of course, Buchou-san*.”
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
You laid spread-eagle on the middle of the dojo’s floor thinking about lunch then Akaashi, then lunch, then Akaashi again.
Every muscle in your system was asleep at this point, leaving you rooted to the wooden slats. Your stomach on the other hand was a different case altogether. Maybe you shouldn’t have skipped out on lunch.
Maybe you shouldn’t have fought with Akaashi.
Groaning, you shook your head to dismiss the notion. No way. He started it. What were you feeling so sorry for? Rolling over to your side, you wondered if you could just fall asleep and start a new life inside your head.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
“Midori, can you check the strings on the bows for me? I’ll just go and get the extra gloves from Ikuya-sensei for a bit.”
Your fellow second-year member meekly picked up one of the ragged bamboo bows and gave you a thumbs-up. Slipping into your indoors shoes as you leave the dojo, you rubbed at your eyes, the fatigue of trying to negotiate with your coach to make your upperclassmen’s placard “more impressionable for the guests” seeping into your head.
Though exhausted, you were satisfied. Last year’s tournament had created a deep image for Fukurodani Academy’s Kyudo Club. While you barely mentioned it, you were proud of the fact that you contributed to many of the perfect shots for your team as their omae*. The result was an unexpected crowd of first-years as well as second and third-years at the Kyudo Club’s booth at today’s opening ceremony.
“Put on a show for them, L/N-san,”  your club’s advisor grinned while handing you a box of new gloves under her desk.
Your face brightened at the thought of finally being able to pull off the shot you’ve been practicing for weeks. And with your boyfriend watching you every step of the way, you were confident you were going to blow their socks off. So far, so good—
“I’ve always liked you, Akaashi-san! Please go out with me.”
You froze like a deer caught in headlights. Quick enough to give you whiplash, you snapped your head in the direction of the wall beside you. Peering over the bricks that separated you from the view, you tiptoed to a level that allowed you to watch the entire affair without being seen.
There he was, like the feminine voice had indicated, your boyfriend Akaashi Keiji in all his glory, a dumbstruck expression painting his face. Standing across him was a second-year girl, someone you’d habitually seen to be from Class 2-2. What was her name again…? Gotou…?
However, the first thing you noticed about the entire rendezvous was that Gotou-san was pretty. Awfully pretty. It took you a moment to process that Akaashi was actually a rather attractive individual too, and for him to get confessed to shouldn’t be much of a surprise to you, or even anyone.
…But why did your chest hurt so much?
“I-I’m sorry, Gotou-san,” your ears perked up at his voice. Akaashi was bowing graciously before the girl in front of him. “I can’t accept your confession.”
You felt rude for even thinking that your faith in Akaashi was hopeless. Just as relief washed over you like a cold torrent, Gotou Hanako suddenly threw herself at your boyfriend with tears streaming down her face. You nearly choked over your own breath.
“I know I can’t have you, but please let me hold you like this for now…!” she sobbed into his uniform.
In your head, Akaashi had already pushed the girl away, reprimanding her of the severity of her extreme advances. In your head, you walked away from the site calmly, knowing that your boyfriend wouldn’t doubt a speck of your relationship. In your head, everything was fine.
But in real life, Akaashi didn’t push her away. In real life, Akaashi stroked her back and let her cling onto him like an anchor. In real life, there was the green monster called envy.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
You smacked your forehead on the side of a shelf storing kyudo uniforms when a rapt knock on the entrance door brought you to wake. You winced at the sharp sting settling on your temple; though you couldn’t see it, you felt a faint patch of red and purple already forming there.
“Sorry for the intrusion, Y/N—um… L/N-san.”
Dizzied from your sudden nap and the slight concussion that the shelf had given you, you’d barely noticed that Akaashi had entered the compound. He looked exactly the same as he always did—tousled dark hair, with a slight jaded look to his eyes. Neatly pressed uniform, direct orders from his mother, paired with the porcelain tone of his skin. But the tense air to him made worlds of difference, and you nearly mistook him for a stranger because of it.
In his clutches was a dainty lunch box, wrapped neatly with a ginko-patterned cloth that made the blood rise to your face. It so happened to be the exact same ginko-patterned cloth that you used to bundle up your own lunch. Alas, for a ‘lucky charm’, you wouldn’t consider it lucky to have the one thing that could save you from starvation to be held by the last person you wanted to see in that moment.
“Your younger sister asked me to bring it to you,” he said. The cold tone he used did nothing to blend well with the atmosphere. “Technically, she just gave it to me then left.”
You cursed your sister in your mind, making sure she received as much astral flicks to the forehead as possible. Indignantly puffing out your chest, you snatched the box away from Akaashi while doing your absolute best to not get vacuumed into the soft gaze that he held.
“Thank you very much. A-Akaashi-san,” you wanted to vomit with the way you churned out his last name. Had you grown so accustomed to calling him by his first name that you’d completely forgotten how to call him by his last?
Please say something. Despite the wall you had built in your head to separate the both of you, you didn’t want it. You could honestly just apologize and get the whole thing over with, but what was so difficult about doing that?
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
You’d expect the audience to work up a healthy sweat in your palms, but even with their interested gazes, you felt absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, Akaashi was seated elegantly at the front of the crowd, giving you what could be the warmest smile in the world.
Against your usual responses to him, you quickly turned away, effectively barricading him from you. You’d decided after the spectacle you had seen, that nothing was going to distract you from performing the perfect shot. Not even the kind glances Akaashi was giving you.
“The Captain of the Kyudo Club will now demonstrate the standard hassetsu*,” Midori announced to the crowd as you approached the front lines.
All eyes fell on you as you carefully positioned yourself then your bow according to your target. When you arrived at the point to nock your arrow in its cranny, your breaths fell jagged and the world seemed to fall apart.
Why did that have to happen? Why did you have to see that right before a pivotal moment like this? Akaashi knew how risky it was to pull off that move in public, so why did he do it? You, who had been so confident about showing the audience a breathtaking exhibition, now hesitated of the outcome of your shot.
You didn’t even realize you had already fully pinned your string back in all its force… How long had you been holding that? Was it eight seconds already? Gritting your teeth in prayers, you hoped that it was enough and released, the whinnied whip of the arrow nearly throwing you backwards.
Your chest dropped at the sight of the target. Your arrow hit right on, but it was dangerously close to the frames. Too long, you scowled, chastising yourself. That draw was timed too long.
Behind you, Akaashi made a startled face that quickly contradicted all the smiles he had given you so far. Seeing his guiltless expression only made you even more irritated. “Would a volunteer like to have a try?” A couple of eager hands shot up like fireworks. You were almost impressed that they still wanted to try out even after seeing a shot like that.
However, in the crowd of excited figures, you spotted a first year who’d been eyeing you virtuously since he had entered the dojo. Come to think of it, you’d seen him in last year’s tournament too… he’d been staring at you wide-eyed back then as well—taking in your posture and movements like a living camera despite only being a volunteer staff at the venue.
“You there. At the front, what’s your name?” you called out him. Were you even thinking? If so, what were you thinking of? You didn’t even care. You were just… angry. “Do you have any experience in kyudo?”
His back straightened like a ruler when he stood, the wisps of his black hair flying all over his face as he smoothed out his uniform before you. “T-Takehashi Keigo from Class 1-2!  U-um, my experience… In my first year of middle school I joined a neighborhood kyudo association… I’m afraid I’m not as good as you though. I-I saw your performance at the tournament last year… it was amazing.”
Looking between Akaashi and the boy in front of you, you simpered. Jackpot.
Handing him your bow and glove, you made sure your skin lingered against his for a tad bit too long; just enough for a certain someone’s pair of rain-colored eyes to notice. “Show me how you handle the bow, Takehashi-kun. I will guide you from there.”
Like the cherry blossoms bordering the fence outside the dojo, the boy’s face bloomed into a vibrant shade of pink and red. As Takehashi took his stance, it came to your attention, that for someone who only had limited exposure to kyudo grounding, he wasn’t bad. If this wasn’t a case to simply make your boyfriend feel bitter, you would probably probe into his skills a little bit further.
“Ah, wait. Your hikiwake* is a bit shaky. Here, let me…”
If your head hadn’t been clouded with acid, you probably wouldn’t be doing this. You probably wouldn’t be sidled so cozily against the shoulder of an unknowing first-year with an obvious devotion for you. You probably wouldn’t be acting like such a petty girlfriend—what was Akaashi’s head clouded with when he embraced Gotou like that? Was he thinking of you when he did it?
Akaashi’s glare was drilling through your back already. Even inside the cool dojo, you could feel the heat seeping inside your kyudogi*. You didn’t want to stop. A lone voice within you screamed of selfishness, but at what cost? You almost smiled at the thought of giving him a taste of his own medicine.
By the time demonstrations were over, there was a half-full applications log for the Kyudo Club, a near empty dojo, and an evidently disgruntled Akaashi Keiji. The latter had quickly dragged you away to the quiet crook harboring the lawn maintenance shed with no words to spare.
“…What were you doing?” he gritted, shoes tapping impatiently and throwing bits and pieces of sand at your feet.
You frowned, “What’re you accusing me of?”
“There’s nothing to accuse you of if you were doing it on purpose,” Akaashi shot back. “You were practically holding that first year much too close to be modest. I don’t know what kind of message you’re trying to convey to me, but you have to stop.”
“What if I said that it was purely accidental?” you, too, felt increasingly impatient. Apologize already, you thought, as if he would miraculously hear you.
“Don’t peg me for Bokuto-san; I’m not gullible. I knew you were deliberately doing it, Y/N-san.”
Your lips flattened into a thin line. You were running out of composure by now; the fuse was lit and ready to go. “Does that make hugging Gotou-san much less of a intentional action then?”
The missile has blown and the fog thickened. You watched the color drain from your boyfriend’s features—his pale skin was somehow even more paler than before. Meanwhile, his eyes were the perfect image of horror: its reflective surface bounced off your image like a broken mirror, distorting you and the world around it.
You took his silence as a cue to continue. “I saw you. I saw her confess to you. I saw you hug her even though you rejected her… I don’t get it, Keiji-san. Why did you do it? Did it ever occur to you that you had a girlfriend?”
“I was just as confused as you. I was only consoling her and that was that,” the way his voice grew louder only made your chest tighten. “If someone had rejected you, wouldn’t you want to be comforted? Or is the great L/N Y/N too inhospitable for that?”
You and Akaashi never argued. Never. Everyone had said you were like the pieces of a perfect jigsaw puzzle. Compatible in all angles. But now, seeing him yell and hearing yourself yell was the antithesis of that entire allegory. It was like you had bent yourselves apart by force.
“I wouldn’t know because I never confessed to anyone! You were the one who confessed to me first, moron,” you seethed, blood boiling in your veins.
“Then, I wish I never did!”
And the entire world fell apart.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
“Wait!”
You had blurted the word out so easily. If only it was just as easy to say it when you fought… things would be a little lighter.
Akaashi, who had earlier looked arguably reluctant, turned on his heel rather swiftly at your call. Now that you’d done the trick, what was next? Apologizing immediately seemed very anticlimactic and you weren’t one to admit loss so effortlessly—
“L/N-san, if it’s not important, I’m sure you don’t need me here,” your last name sounded like an alien language on his tongue. It was hostile and definitely foreign.
‘Hostile’ to hell! you huffed as you watched his back drift away ever so slowly before you. “D-don’t go!”
Fantastic, now he was looking at you like you were the alien in the room. Meeting his steely gaze, your feet shifted nervously against the wooden slats. A stubborn knot tightened in your throat, nearly forcing out what you’d presumed to be vomit settling behind your mouth.
“Please don’t leave me, Keiji-san…” your eyes flickered fleetingly before finally descending on your feet, “I’m scared of going back to being alone. I-I understand if you want to break up with me but—”
“Y/N-san, I’m not breaking up with you.”
The sound you made was an incoherent mixture of a relieved sigh and cry of shock. Whatever the noise was, your expression on the other hand was enough to make Akaashi’s cheeks puff up in subdued laughter. You didn’t say it, but you really did miss his smile; the way it’d stir up all the warmth in your stomach, it formed bubbles of fluttery comfort that rose all the way up to your head.
“I-I thought you were going to break up with me,” he said as-a-matter-of-factly. “What I did was unacceptable. I was overwhelmed by Gotou-san’s actions and I became so angered by your, uh… ‘vengeance’ that I didn’t think to consider your feelings more. I was selfish, Y/N-san. And I’m sorry for hurting your feelings. Please forgive me for the awful things I’ve done to you.”
Were you even breathing anymore? When was the last time you inhaled air? When you murmured his name, like the mantra that it seemed like, all the weight you had been shouldering the past few days was finally knocked off your back. You could finally breathe.
“How unfair, Keiji-san.”
“Huh?!”
“That apology was too sentimental for me to outdo,” you continued rather gruffly, though in your heart, the gates for Akaashi was already wide open. “But, still… I’m really sorry for what I did. I see that the stunt I pulled off was pushing it too much… I promise, Takehashi-kun and I don’t have any further relations aside from captain to club member. In that way, I want to fix what happened… If that’s alright with you?”
When Akaashi thought about something serious, he became as still as a statue. In your dojo, he stood unmoving, you were afraid if you were to say something he’d shatter and turn into dust. Yet, the grim look would have fooled you if it weren’t for the words he’d uttered next.
“Y/N-san, would it be appropriate if I kissed you right now?”
“Wh-what?!” your lips tingled along with the searing heat that clouded your cheeks. God, he was really high-maintenance whenever he wanted to be. “Sorry, but I think that’s impossible r-right now! If you did that, I’ll definitely—”
As you rambled on, you didn’t realize that Akaashi had moved closer to you and ruffled your hair endearingly. He laughed, “I know, I know. I just missed seeing your flustered face. If a kiss won’t do… then, can you show me your archery?”
Picking up your bow leaning on the side of a shelf, you beamed brightly. Your heart was clearer than the sky that day. Heijoshin. No misses.

hey y’all !! i have this queued and everything bc my forgetful ass prob won’t be around for the soft opening.. rip. anyways i’m lia, twenty, a rpdr and retro future enthusiast, and i’m hyped as hell to introduce my Kids ! admittedly gyuri owns my heart more than max so, you can have her first, you’d prob thank me for it shortly anyways DKSLGFJ you can find her bio HERE, i also have her PLOTS and STATS pages up, so check them out as well ! and if you wanna plot, just hmu over at discord !
( KIM MINJI | CISFEMALE | SHE/HER ) I swear I saw MOON GYURI around campus yesterday. I hear the TWENTY-ONE year old is very resolute & circumspect which totally adds up since they're a TAURUS. They’re in their THIRD year and studying MUSIC PRODUCTION. you might also see them at a RADIO CLUB meeting. ( lia, nt, she/her. )
moon gyuri, a daegu native with an older sister and younger brother, an ambivert and an all around baby
i already have an overview of her bg so i’ll stick to the basics with this copied intro gklfds
buT she became involved in music through her father, who studied it in uni and ended up becoming a music instructor with a focus on piano, flute and vocals
her and her mom.. also her older sister, didn’t have the best relationship when she grew older, which seemed to die altogether when her parents divorced and her mom left. but her and her sister’s still exists, it’s just that she’s a bit of a toxic influence on her and she tends to distance herself from her
went to seoul arts to pursue music like her father ( a daddy’s girl too like ) and found her way into the world of production !! just before junior year, she transferred out of her original program, applied music with a concentration in piano, into music production and has loved it ever since
she’s making something of an income as the creator of an acct on youtube and soundcloud for her music — going by the aliases lunar wave and leda on them respectively ( can you tell how creative i am.. seriously, im dsfggdfjk )
she’s not even close to making it big yet, having only started a few short months ago, and that being said, she doesn’t mind if she never works for a moderately to highly popular label in the future — though she should if she wants to get by
among the aesthetic, lo-fi music crowd ( one of those yt accts with a livestream for certain playlists that go on for hours, rip ) where for the most part, it’s personal faves mixed with her own works, and has a substantial following for such a new acct as of now. but has an interest in experimenting, with mashups ( as a lover of them ?? i couldn’t help myself sgflkdsjg ) for example, with a small fear of how that change would be received
anyways she’s a member of the radio club, is usually found in either her room or some studio in the music department, and is a struggling bi baby
this is so short iK, it’s a little infuriating if you ask me ljkgdfjls
in terms of her personality and other things:
she’s quite a loyal person, but even she knows when to draw a line in the sand. while like i said, her relationship with her sister is Not Great, she hadn’t completely given up on her for many years. definitely for the time being, for her own benefit, but her being someone who’s open to the idea of people changing for the better somewhere down the line leaves a bit of room for her to possibly change her mind, if her sister does enough to allow her to consider it
so she can be a bit of a doormat in some cases, it all depends on how she sees the person that determines if that’s the case, but she generally won’t let you off if you’re being dumb/an ass to someone or if she gets advantageous vibes from you for example ( given she can.. be a little dense on occasion and is a gentle soul overall ) so.. idk fgklsj good luck to the 99% ig ??
she does have a slight dependency on others despite her thinking all signs point to the opposite, and even though her and her mom never rly had a good relationship she still reels from the neglect/abandonment some days so handle her with Care if she deems you a close pal
super wary with taking risks and the like, add her stubborn nature and she’s gonna be difficult to persuade on a range of things
unwavering in her work and with those she trusts. she also is the same with herself more often than not, but she’s not exempt from having that doubtful voice in her head convincing her she’s doing a shit job in x thing to throw her off
she’s a little reclusive when focused on something, if she tells you she’s working on a track, it’s essentially a head’s up that you might not see her for a couple of days depending on how soon she gets it done — lowkey that bitch™ who makes up an illness to her prof or boss, so she wouldn’t even show up for class/work if it’s more than just her fucking around
bc admittedly, a lot of what she posts is fucking around and liking it, her more thought-out and effort packed projects are hidden away on her laptop
a bit insecure with her work and just her general disposition ?? bc like i said, she’s not exempt from that Evil voice in her head and those few more.. conflicting points above, we’ll say, mess with her a lot and leave her disheartened so.. my poor child
so that being said, she’s v strong overall, takes people’s shit but if it gets to her, she gets over it p fast ( the first time around ). doesn’t dwell on much and will be courteous to you even if she’s declared you too toxic to stick around 24/7
isn’t exactly one to get angry super easily ?? she’s basically just disappointed or annoyed at best 99% of the time, it takes a lot to get her beyond that
a cute bean who wants the best for everyone and is also clumsy as absolute fuCK
uhhh
plays piano and bass guitar
prob has some kind of little amateur rock band with a few music majors and took up bass for the hell of it lmao
so.. if you want in on that lmk sdgkldg
loves animals, leans towards cats or big dogs. corgis and those little spaniels get a pass tho
speaking of, she has a cute little calico kitten ( i’m shit with pet names so that’s tba rgkjls ) who she Loves, her baby !!
sweater, ball cap and basic t shirt junkie
those glasses minji’s worn on occasion ?? rinna wears them too but.. actually needs them, not even close to a fashion statement
doesn’t don much makeup unless someone’s dragging her to a party or something
thaT’S when she looks a little more like a classy early twenties bitch.. which lbr, is hard enough when adulthood is a whole Train Wreck for the most part LGFJSDL
not a heavy drinker, but the textbook definition of a lightweight so.. she’s always praying for anyone who has to deal with her dgfjklsfg
lattes are her livelihood
a bit of a hopeless romantic, god help her
her favourite subject in school was literature/writing and reads quite a bit on her breaks between classes, prob tried to take up a creative writing class as an elective as well
favourite music genres.. it’s easier to say what she doesn’t like/finds boring, which is prob country and some aspects of edm/pop, not into punk/metal either
these are super basic plus her personality description is all over the place bc i’m rushing but.. i’ve gotta get to max’s info so this’ll do for now i hope ??

FAQ:
Why is my commission taking so long? I’m probably busy with other things.  And also, I live in Japan so our time zones might be really different.  If you need your art by a deadline, please tell me ahead of time.
— Can I send you money directly through paypal instead of filling out an invoice? No. I used to allow this, but since paypal’s policies have changed, I’m playing it safe by only charging through invoice.
— Can I put the image in my about/icon/etc. You can use the un-watermarked art anywhere (credit is appreciated but not necessary). However, if you UPLOAD the image as a POST to another public site that allows people to share, comment, or “like” the image (like tumblr, deviantart, twitter etc) ESPECIALLY if it hosts creative medium, then PLEASE link to my art tumblr (swagcune.tumblr.com) and deviantart (commanderpigg.deviantart.com) and do not claim it as your own. The art is for personal use ONLY so don’t print it and sell it on your merch or make money from it.  If you’re unsure about anything, please ask.
What’s the difference between the styles/how do you determine the price?
Over the years, I noticed that I alternate between using my ‘clean’ style and ‘sketchy’ style the most. I think the sketchy style is better if you want something dynamic or more casual. Clean is good for character refs or portrait-style pics. The higher the commission, the more time and effort I put into the drawings (regardless of style). Things like shading and lighting effects can significantly complicate the drawing which is why the per character rate is about 70% of the base price (I’m basically doing twice the work!).
Of course tech errors, research, and scheduling might affect how long it takes to complete a piece, so this is just a generalization. — Why don’t you have separate prices for bust/waist-up/full body? I want to give myself freedom to choose the composition for the pic. I feel most comfortable working with waist-up or full-body sitting down.

best of the best 2020 edition bc honestly, I had worse years:
gg song of the year: NATURE - 어린애 (Girls) girl groups carried this year on their back and among many bops, I listened to this one the most
bg song of the year: Super M - One as much as despised the idea of this group (except for taekai reasons), they grew up on me
artist of the year: Taemin, as always (but seriously, he marathoned throught this year, dropping gem after gem). the visuals in Criminal deserve their special mention bc holy shit
SHINee’s BACK from the war (and also Highlight, what remained of them)
month of the year: august bc only good things happened and I’ve spent it relatively alone in the office, so I was especially effective without any distractions
successes of the year: got a new degree, kept my job, actually liked quarantine and home office after I learned how to manage my time under these conditions, learned to draw my lines more successfully, I survived a lot and even preserved some energy in the last 2-3 months after getting close to a proper burnout, so I’m good.
resolutions for the new year: getting back to my stricter finance management plans, not taking up more duties than I could handle and/or not cleaning up after others, resting enough, getting a tad bit fitter and adjusting my diet to current circumstances.

Weekly Update #268 - Ryuunosuke's Study
Life still keeps me pretty busy at the moment, so I haven't been able to accomplish as much as I would have liked to this week... Nevertheless, I have started working on the next BG for GENBA no Kizuna, depicting Ryuunosuke Hazama's private dino chamber!
Last week, I already talked about how strongly the writing for the next scene is linked to the background art. I can't work on one without the other, meaning that I have to work on both of these at the same time. So what I've been doing thus far is to get the general layout of Ryuu's room down, based on the maps shown in-game.
I went about it in a slightly different way this time, though, providing me with a new and very interesting experience.
As I had troubles figuring out the right perspective for the background, I decided to use SketchUp Make for the first time. If you're not familiar with SketchUp, it's a 3D-modeling program. It was brought to my attention by the brilliant Kuna, mastermind behind the romance/paranormal mystery VN Pitch Black Serenade (she even provides some SketchUp tutorial posts on her website, if you're interested in this program yourself)!
I basically used it to make a simple 3D model of Ryuu's room. The result was this:
I'm talking a little more in-depth about this in our newest Patreon post, also providing some more screenshots as well as a WIP-preview of the actual background. So if you're a patron and curious about that, be sure to check it out!
Anyway, the design will obviously change, but in the image above, you can see some of the major objects in Ryuu's room. What's going to be on his desk? Inside the shelf? On the bed? The floor? That, I don't know just yet. I have some ideas, but will properly figure it out along the way and, based on whatever is going to end up there, write the investigation comments accordingly.
There will be more WIP-updates for this in the near future, so please look forward to that!
Now, for something different and completely unexpected... here is Natsu's surprise September artwork!
Originally, there was no September artwork planned. I've just been way too busy with the extended demo release for GENBA, as well as a whole bunch of RL things. Natsu wasn't really satisfied with that, however, and decided herself to draw an artwork, surprising me as much as everyone else!
And since she pitied poor Kotoba for never standing a chance in our Patreon polls... well, you can see the result above. Finally, after a couple of years, our poor perv is getting some artwork again! As always, it's been added to our gallery and patrons can get a higher resolution version (as well as a look at the line art) right here!
That about wraps it up for today, so please enjoy the rest of your weekend and, until next Saturday, take care! :3

REVIEW – BCC 11 for Media Composer
There are some certainties in the industry we work on, and one of them as become the yearly (or so) updates to our favorite applications and/or effects packages, and a lot has happened for a certain company, namely Boris FX, in the last few years.  In this article, we’re going to be taking a look at the new release of Continuum from Boris FX, version 11 for AVX, and see what this year’s offering has for editors out there.
I wanted to get the introduction out of the way to talk a little bit about the journey that editors (especially Media Composer editors) have been on with Boris FX in the last few years.  Effects, and the effects pipeline for us was a little disjointed.  We had Boris FX on one side, offering use effects, but more importantly important workflow tools (Chroma Key, Flicker Fixer, Magic Sharp) that we need for any situation we run into.  But, there was a gap.  I pretty big gap when it came to things like Motion Tracking and Roto work which, to be honest, was a huge pain in MC, as the motion tracking tool was terrible, and you can only get so far with Animatte.  Well, one of the biggest shockers in post production in longer than I can remember happened a couple of years ago, when Boris FX decided to purchase Imagineer Systems, makers of Mocha, and not only integrate Mocha tracking into almost every effect in the package, but they took things a huge leap ahead of that, and released a stand alone effect version of Mocha Pro for Media Composer editors to use directly in their timelines.  This brought an unprecedented new workflow for Media Composer editors who, from time to time, can be very stubborn, and not want to leave their MC timelines.  Now you can do all the tracking and roto work you need to do, without having to export a single frame from your timeline.  So, that does beg the question, along with Mocha Tracking, what was added in BCC 10?  Well, here’s a quick breakdown:
Beauty Studio – A state-of-the-art skin retouching/digital makeup tool to make your talent look perfect.
Title Studio – The next generation of 2D/3D titling and motion graphics tool for designing and animating at any resolution. Includes support for MAXON CINEMA 4D models.
BCC Remover fills in missing pixels & removes objects with clone and auto-fill options.
BCC Dropout Fixer restores tape based damaged footage with field dropouts.
BCC Reframe reformats and stylizes “vertical cell phone footage” into 16 x 9 for broadcast.
BCC Light Leaks adds organic & naturalistic “in-camera” light and exposure effects.
BCC Video Glitch recreates the distressed look of compression artifacts, signal loss & corrupt digital video.
BCC Cross Glitch mimics abrupt digital signal transitions.
BCC Cross Melt conveys a new organic look and feel.
BCC Lights Leak Dissolve creates a light exposure-based transition.
BCC Cross Zoom combines zoom, glow, and dissolve into one simple transition.
Okay, let’s be honest.  That’s a lot.  You had the Imagineer Team working with the BCC team to get that integration working, and you had the BCC team developing these new effects.  This release was a home run.  So the big question is, how do you follow it up?  Well, it’s simple.  You take a look at an effect or effects you might not be completely happy with, and you improve on them, and that’s the main focus of the BCC 11 update.  Let’s take a look at what’s new in BCC 11.
BCC PRIMATTE STUDIO
When I first heard that this was going to be the main focus of the BCC 11 release, the light bulb clicked on in my head.  It makes perfect sense.  As I always say, there are two things that editors hate doing more than anything.  Tracking/Roto, and Chroma keying.  Well, we got half that solved in BCC 10 with the Mocha integration/Mocha Pro plug-in, and now in version 11, we’re going to focus on keying.  Awesome, but I wasn’t really ready to have to re-teach myself Chroma keying, but it was definitely worth it.  Here’s what you need to know about Primatte Studio (PS).
It’s all about the details in PS.  The details and the tools at your disposal.  With PS, about 65% of your keying work can be done automatically by pressing the “Auto Analyze” button in the new HUD of the effects window.
Once that’s done, you normally assume that you’re going to head over to the “Final Matte” view, where you’ll get a look at what your matte looks like.  Well, not in here.  We’re going to head over and check the “status” of our matte in the “Matte Status” view, and you get something that looks a little like this:
To be honest, this just looks almost like digital noise, but what it actually is, is PS telling you what is opaque (white) semi-opaque/transparent (grey), and completely transparent (black).  What’s very interesting about this slightly different workflow is that if you switch over to your “Final Matte”, you won’t notice about 90% of the problems going on here, but if you switch back to your “Final Composite”, chances are you’ll notice issues right away with all they grey “semi-transparency” going on with you key.  Now you can go in and start to clean things up, and you can go with the rectangle tool for this.  Dealing with the background first, make sure you tell PS you want to “Clean BG”, and then simply lasso over the grey in the background, and it will mostly disappear with a few strokes of the mouse.  Now you can do the same with the foreground by choosing “Clean FG”, and doing the same technique.  In many cases, this might be all the work your matte needs, and once you’ve done this, you’re good to go, but let’s be honest, if you do any type of keying work, on even a semi-regular basis, you know that garbage matting is the easiest way to eliminate most of unneeded key area, so you can focus in on just the green directly around your talent.  Well, you guessed it, Mocha is integrated directly into PS, and you can create not only outside masks (a garbage matte around your talent to eliminate as much green screen as possible, to get the best looking key possible), but you can also do inside masks as well (mask drawn around the inside of your talent to eliminate areas that are unnecessary to the keying process, and you want to force PS to make them completely opaque), and they can be either keyframed inside of Mocha BCC, or you can obviously do a completely motion track of the area as well, and save yourself a ton of time in the process as well.
With all this being said, you can create pretty good keys, but one thing that just about every editor does their best to avoid, and that is hair.  Especially strands of hair that will probably get completely lost in the keying process.  Well, believe it or not, not only do you have the ability to bring back those lost hairs by using the “Restore Detail” parameter, but you also have the ability to “Make FG Transparent”, which is the PS way of letting you remove green coloring in small areas like hair, or around other small think details, even on the most compressed footage, to give you a key like you’ve never seen before.  Now, I did mention the rectangle tool, and that tool is perfect for larger tasks like cleaning up the FG and BG, but for more specific and detailed tasks, like restoring detail, or working make the FG transparent, and removing all the green from any key attempt, you can use the point tool which, much like it sounds, is simply a pointer that you can draw on the screen with, to give yourself pinpoint accuracy, to make sure only the details you need altered are.  I’ll be honest with you here.  If you had asked me before working with PS if I was a good keyer, I would have told you yes, but with everything that I’ve learned from working with PS, I’d say that my keys are now easily ten times better than they were before.
There are a few more things I want to talk about in PS  before we move on, and the first is the “Adjust Light On” parameter.  Many people would overlook this parameter, as it’s not really clear about what it does.  Something about turning a light on.  Well does it ever do that.  In many cases, when you do an auto analyze of a green screen, it might look something like this:
What the Matte Status window is showing you is how uneven your background green screen is lit.  Wouldn’t it be nice if you could adjust the light on that green screen to even it out a little?  See where I’m going here.  Yes, that’s right.  You can even use PS to even out poorly shot green screens, to make your keying job that much easier,. Here’s the same shot with the “Adjust LIght On” parameter selected.
An absolutely staggering difference.  Now, there are other parameters here you can adjust like Color Correction (basic CC, but CC none the less), Light Wrap and some Matte Refinement tools as well, but the last feature I want to talk about is the Edge Color Correction, and how it works, and how you can make it work for you.  My biggest problem with a parameter like this, is that i never really know how much of an edge I’m adjusting, even though I can go in and adjust the edge width first thing.  It still doesn’t tell me exactly how wide the edge is, which would be a big help.  Well, a great trick and workaround is before you worry about adjusting your edge size, crank the brightness all the way up, and as soon as you do, you’ll get a white halo around your talent, showing you the actual edge that’s being adjusted.  Now you can adjust your edge width to the exact size you want it to be, bring that brightness back down to zero, and you can now start making adjustments to the other parameters like Tint Edge, Temperature Edge, ect.  All of these parameters, plus the ability to make Geometric changes (Scale, Rotation, Position, etc) and even adding Drop Shadows, makes Primatte Studio the new gold standard for keying inside of Media Composer.  Alright, let’s move on and talk about another new effect in BCC 11, and that is the new Broadcast Safe filter.
BCC BROADCAST SAFE
It’s funny that this effect has taken as long as it has to get into BCC, but again, it’s a welcome one.  Editors are accustomed to working with footage that is outside of legal video ranges, and they fix this problem the way most people do, by color correcting their footage to bring either the white levels down, or the black levels up, to keep everything inside of a legal range.  Well, what happens when you’re at the eleventh hour and a show that you stepped into a the last minute has been rejected, because video levels in it were too hot?  Well, you don’t have time to go back through the whole show to fix them, so you go with the standard “Color Effect Clip”, which is when you apply the Color Effect effect, it clips all your video at one hundred and zero, so everything in the show is now legal, sacrificing quality, as any detail that was in those over exposed areas has now been clipped out.  Well, that’s where BCC Broadcast Safe comes into play.  Not only do you have the ability to clip from within the effect if you want to (which you don’t), but what this effect is designed to do is to give you the ability to use a preset to confirm all your footage to by actually lowering (or raising) the luminance values, as opposed to clipping.  A uniform raising/lowering of those levels will keep the details in your footage, and let’s you do the job in about five seconds, as opposed to having to go through the entire timeline looking for problematic shots.  Simply apply the effect to the top most layer in your timeline, make any adjustments that you need to, and the effect will trickle down to the layers below it.  Genius!
BCC VR
With many editors coming across VR workflows in their current projects, the Continuum team has developed five effects to help you deal with common VR issues you’ll run into, and all of these are available in your Media Composer timeline.  The effects include:
VR Reorient
VR Insert
VR Blur
VR Sharpen
VR Flicker Fixer
What’s also very cool is that if VR is your thing, and you’ve already purchased Mocha VR, you get the VR unit free.
There have also been some updates to the Title Studio effect including adding 3D render options including depth-of-field and many more presets & templates.
Alright, let’s get specific now, and talk about a workflow update that is almost worth the price of the upgrade itself.  With GenArts now completely part of the Boris FX family, editors will be wanting to incorporate Sapphire effects into their current BCC effects pipeline.  So how does this new pipeline work?  Well, in the past, users of BCC AVX have been accustomed to having to work with a “Multi-Filtered” workflow.  What that basically means is that you would apply an effect, and turn on the “Multi-Filter Start”, to get things rolling.  For every effect you add, you need to keep the “Multi-Filter” going by selecting “Multi-Filter Mid”, until the last effect you apply, which would be the “Multi-Filter End”.  Now, the big issue with this workflow is that it’s completely limited to BCC effects, and nothing else. Now keep in mind that this workflow is the same whether you’re applying the effects to footage or to titles.
So, what’s the big update you ask?  Well, editors in Media Composer are accustomed to adding multiple effects to footage/titles by alt dragging different effects onto a clip to create a stacking order.  The concept now works the same with BCC with one major difference.  With every effect you apply, the “Background” will be set to “None”.
Now you can stack any effect you want, from either BCC or Sapphire, to create the exact look you want, with each effect’s background set to none.  When you get to the last effect, simply switch the “Background” to be “Layer Below”, and you’ll now see the BCC/Sapphire effect stack in your timeline.  Editors in other NLE’s might not think this is a big deal, but for Media Composer editors this is huge, and opens up a big door for us to be able to do more in our edits, without having to go to After Effects.
PRICE
A new BCC AVX licence will run you $1695 US which, for me, is pretty steep, but what’s great to know is that Boris FX has a few different licensing options to keep the price as low as possible.  That $1695 will get you version 11 with all the updates that come for it, but once version 12 rolls around, you’ll have to pay an upgrade cost of $595 US.  This upgrade cost is the same if you’re currently running BCC 9 or 10.  If you’re running BCC 8 or earlier, you’re looking at an upgrade price of $695.  Now, here’s where you can start to save some money.  You can subscribe to BCC, with an annual subscription cost of $695 which, assuming you keep your subscription going on a yearly basis, will get you upgrades for BCC past version 11.  Now keep in mind, we’ve been specifically talking about the BCC AVX license, but if you’re like me, and are using After Effects, Resolve, etc, you really want one license to encompass everything, and Boris FX has an option for that.  If you want to go the subscription way, I’d suggest an AVX, Adobe and OFX license that is the same price ($695 US) as the AVX only subscription license, but you obviously get the effects for all the host applications (Avid, Premiere, After Effects, Resolve/Fusion) for the one price.
So that does ask the question, should you spend your hard earned money to upgrade or subscribe to BCC 11 if you’re a Media Composer editor?  Well, the first question to ask yourself is, do you wish you could add effects to your timeline titles?  If the answer is yes, then you should subscribe.  The second question to ask yourself is, do you do any type of flashy titling work that would look even better in 3D?  If the answer is yes, then you should subscribe.  Do you want to take your keying work to the next level level in Media Composer, and not have to export all your footage to After Effects to do it?  If the answer is yes, then you should subscribe.  I’m sure that you can see where I’m going with this.  With the staggering amount of tools, effects, “studio’s” (Beauty, Primate, Title, etc), Mocha Integration and workflow enhancements, if you don’t have BCC, you’re absolutely doing your clients a disservice.  If you even plan on doing one keying job this year, Primatte Studio is worth the upgrade to version 11.  One thing that’s important that I mention, before I wrap things up is that if you are working with Media Composer | First, and you want to work with Boris Continuum Complete (current or otherwise), Sapphire or Mocha Pro, you will need to purchase it through the Avid Marketplace, as if you don’t, the effects won’t appear inside your application.  If you want to go this route, once you’ve made your purchase through the Avid Marketplace, check in your account where your MC|F license is, and you should see the license for BCC.  Once you do, you should be able to launch, and you’re off to the races.  For everyone else you can head over to the Boris FX website, and make your purchase there.  You can get more information, and download a free two week demo of BCC 11 for Media Composer at www.borisfx.com .
