I was about to start throwing plates because even though hours have passed, the messages on my deco my tree just wouldn't load and in all honesty I was looking forward to reading those more than getting my christmas presents. But looks like making an account on another sketchy website that was linked on that already also sketchy website did give me access to the messages finally. The only problem is that i can't see who they're from but also they seem to be chronological so I think I can figure it out lol. So after some frustrations i can finally say that i have read them and they were really sweet and nice.... so, thank you friends!!!!! 💝 I hope your holidays were great too. one thing about alt stuff is that the barrier to entry to being "goth" is truely so fucking low and yet people constantly limbo under the bar instead of stepping over it and wonder why they get called posers. like we're not asking you to move mountains here we're just asking you to find even one band under the umbrella that you like and to engage with the community a little bit. The fashion has truely so much overlap between goth punk and emo so very few people will care which one you call yourself based on your look and you just have to find a band you like. Dashboard Confessional screams a bit too much for your taste and Dead Kennedys is too loud? Guess what you're in luck the goths listen to something a little softer and weirder they call it dark wave or ethereal wave depending on the phases of the moon. Try out Clan of Xymox or Switchblade Symphony. Like truly the alt music scene is so fucking diverse there's gotta be something in here that you like. If not and you truly are a pop girlie then don't call yourself punk it's very easy.

Children’s books! And some true timeless classic movies. But in concrete terms children books are soooooo important to me.

25. would you say you have good taste in music?

Haha this is a hard one. I mean, yes! Because I have good taste in everything. 😉 But on the other hand, no. I don’t think I do. I have a strong sense for a certain kind of artistry and there is this other part of me that IS musically inclined in the classical sense—I played classical piano for years and years—but also I’m very ignorant about a lot of music. And I haven’t studied it so it’s not an area that I’ve really honed my taste in exactly. It’s very meandering, it’s extremely random, there are whole swaths of it I have no interest in, don’t understand, haven’t paid attention to. So I am not your girl for curating anything musically beyond my appreciation of Taylor’s discography. I mean, I like Daughtry and sometimes, like the script or whatever. Like … it’s embarrassing.

Now my taste in movies on the other hand—supreme.

2.ok this one is quite obvious but obviously big shot! Toby Fox. I have a playlist of just big shot covers as well as au versions of big shot like battle against the world. It’s such a banger song I love it
